I'd like to believe Shay Mitchell and I would be best friends. Aside from the fact that I'm not a big pizza person (and Shay is obsessed!), we have a lot in common. Our favorite esthetician is Shani Darden. We both create content for YouTube. She's really into skincare and makeup, as am I! And she's a total girls' girl, but can get down with the boys, too. (Plus, she's on one of the most scandalous and morbid shows on the tube, and I love anything creepy or horror-genre related.)
Shay joined us on this week's episode of #PrettyUnfiltered while promoting her new partnership with Bioré, and having interviewed her once before, I knew that she was going to be fun, but also genuine — something that's absolutely necessary for our series. After an outfit change on her part, we kicked off our shoes and got to talking.
Shay is half Filipina, and growing up, Shays she felt like she didn't fit in. She explained that she felt insecure in school, which most of us can relate to, but her insecurities were mostly due to the fact that she didn't look like most of her friends. She had darker skin and features; everyone else was white and blonde.
I was also totally blown away to hear that Shay used to dye her hair blonde and wear contacts in an effort to alter her image. She explains how she came to embrace herself, how she built up her confidence and told us an amazing quote her mother shared with her as a kid. Check out the interview with Shay and then let us know what empowers you by hashtagging #PrettyUnfiltered.

I’d also hide it ..... I live in Japan and people here look at Philippine people as if they were a lower class a dirt monkeys whatever . Although some Japanese men marry Filipino women and to some is a downgrade
I'm half Indonesian and my mum is Dutch i never looked to myself being European i always felt more Indonesian and honestly never embraced my European heritage ha ha ha. I even took my fathers nationality ha ha ha ha.
And am proud to have an Indonesian passport and am very proud Indonesian even married a filipina for wanting the kids to become more like my dad ha ha ha ha always felt ashamed being a mix European i do not understand who some could be so ashamed being half Asian it the most beautiful thing you could be is Asian.
I'm guessing you're half white, and always wanted to be "just" white.... Typical! Most Filipinos always try to convince people that they are part spanish..... lol! (1) The spanish did in fact spend time in the PI, however, they DID NOT MIX with native Filipinos..... Aside from the WWIII U.S. white blood left in the PI by U.S soldiers/sailors there isn't much european dNA in the PI ! In a dNA research it was discovered that 0.002 % of the entire filipino population had/have european dNA ! 0.002% ! THAT'S NOT EVEN HALF OF ONE PERCENT ! On youtube the majority of filipinos seem to have a VERY SIGNIFICANT POLYNESIAN dNA COUNT but Filipinos NEVER talk about that ! They always talk about some made up grand parent who had blonde hair, and green eyes, and spoke spanish (lol) Filipinos will always claim that they speak spanish (but they don't) simply because they may speak an occasional random spanish word ! SO DO PARROTS ! I don't know why the spanish didn't mix with you guys nor do I know why they didn't teach you spanish... All I know is THEY DIDN'T! LIVE WITH THAT FACT ! YOU GUYS DO HAVE A STRONG SAMOAN/TONGAN dNA connection ! EXPLORE THAT, AND LEAVE THE FANTASY SPANISH DNA ALONE !
Shay Mitchell is such a down-to-earth person and celebrity. I can relate to her in high school because I am Korean and for us Koreans it’s hard to conform to society and society’s standards of beauty. Watching this, I learned to be myself and not conform to what society wants for me I’m gonna be what I WANT TO BE not what others think. I love you Shay!!!!!
wow, I nvr would have thought that you would have been bullied, I'm so srry that you felt you had to eat lunch in the bathroom and stuff. But I'm so glad that you overcame it all and embraced who you really are, because you should nvr have to be someone you're not for the sake of others...
Shay she half Filipino and half Canadian she great talented and acting drama "Pretty Little Liars" movies she beautiful actress her mother has a Filipino blood.... two girls couple like "Emily and Alison" I love it 😍❤️
This resonates so well with me. Growing up I would receive whitening creams and soaps from family and friends as "gifts" to lighten my skin color. Going off to college and surrounding myself in different working environments helped me gain confidence in owning my heritage!
*_I'M WHITE & I ROLL MY NAKED EYES AT THOSE "FAMILY & FRIENDS" OF YOURS. THEY DID NOTHING FOR YOU! In MY naked eyes, they basically told you "Here you go, this will make you white; it'll make you better than what you are"_*
It's 2018 and I've been watching PLL since then, how did i not know she's a Filipina? But well this vid is disappointing, its more like a clickbait, she doesn't even talk more about being one, so why the title?
I embrace my philipino heritage now... I used to be embarrassed about being philipino from being teased & bullied for years!!!! Liked & subscribed to your channel I hope you do the same for me!! New channel supporter!!!! 😁🤗😁 your gorgeous! Salamat po 🤗😘

The class of drugs that Levitra, Viagra, Stendra, and Cialis belong to are called PDE5 inhibitors. They work by relaxing tight blood vessels, allowing more blood to surge into the penis and cause an erection, says Gregory Bales, M.D., an associate professor of urology at the University of Chicago.
The little pills do the trick for more than two-thirds of men with Viagra protects the heart (ED). They also work for guys who simply need them for a short time to get their “confidence back,” says Michael Eisenberg, M.D., director of male reproductive medicine and surgery at Stanford University.
