Markle accompanied the gift of Belgian chocolates with a handwritten note. Neighbour Fortunato Agliodoro said Markle had "beautiful calligraphy." Markle used to freelance as a calligrapher. Agliodoro described her as "lovely" and said she greeted him whenever she saw him. Britain's royal palace says Prince Harry and Markle are engaged and will marry in the spring of 2018.
