‘synthetic’ molecules are the same as ‘natural’ molecules....ascorbic acid is ascorbic acid ....but what accompanies vitaminC in natural products may the important factor.

Interesting, because I've only heard of the host of benefits of both D and Calcium; the negative synergistic effect of the two is surprising to me.

Dr Berg, Can one really eat enough of these foods quickly enough to clear dangerously blocked arteries? If one takes a D3/K2 supplement does it lift the deposits rather than dissolve them and create a potentially life threatening situation?
Dennis Lee (22 days ago)
The vitamin C mega dosing in combination with the L-Proline and L-Lysine collagen peptide combination works to prevent the undesired redepositing of arterial wall plaque deposits on ones arteries.

Good evening Dr. Berg, I would like to thank you for your abundant and very interesting and enriching videos. I have a question, you say that the tyrosinase helps in the forming of collagen, however, in my research, I have found that the tyrosinase controles the production of melanin. Could you please give me some specification about the link between Vitamin C and tyrosinase and how, combined, they can protect the arteries? Wishing you the best

Stop smoking that stuff Dr ---you know that the intra-arterial injury is multi-factorial but AGE is the major cause--and something else, you need to investigate your self --STOP making up stories with Cholesterol, Sugar, Insulin, Anti-oxidants etc and end up with treatment exercise and Diet

I discovered you when I started looking at your videos about the thyroid, (diagnose 2 years ago) then got interested in everything keto and now since the heart is the No1 disease in my family I am now watching all your videos on heart, arteries etc....it’s my second time here with this video. The first time I watched I went out and got Vitamin D3 with K2 and since I am almost finish my bottle I thought I would come back and check to make sure I did the right thing...:). The difference is now I am 99.9% keto (6 months) I do organic and grass fed everything...I have also been looking at videos from Yvor Cummings since your interview with him. I wish I had a Dr who was more open to my heart concern it would make it easier to know what to do next and also know my heart health. Thank you for all the easy to understand info. I lost 20 pounds almost immediately on keto. I can’t loose anymore. (I now weigh 105 pounds) I just need to deal with some inflammation and some belly and thigh fat.

Hi, I live in London and have recently been diagnosed with arterial heart disease. I lost my brother and, last year, my nephew to this disease; so it is a family trait. I have never liked nor eaten anything sweet and again, I don’t like bread, pasta, potatoes and very little refined carbs. My diet consists of dairy, green veg and protein. I don’t smoke. I am slim; exercise regularly; blood pressure perfect. In fact all perfect apart from my Cholesterol being a little high. At the present moment my blood is pumping without restriction. I have been advised to take a daily aspirin and a new statin, which is pretty powerful, and for people with my problem. The Cardiologist was truthful when advising that, apart from smoking, they didn’t really know what caused the arteries to harden and that I am already doing everything she would recommend. From what you’re saying, I’m probably receiving Vit K2 from my diet. But, in any event, I have purchased K2 along with D3. My bones are extremely strong and I definitely do not require any additional Calcium or Vit C. Thank you for this information of which, I am most grateful.

Good information. The collagen pronunciation was funny... not a funny subject though. Question: So when we are prescribed statins, is that a good approach? Doesnt seem that it is.
Sailor Man (1 month ago)
Statins don't approach the problem from a preventative point of view - a modified diet is the best way to go. Do some research on statins - avoid like the plague.

Vitamin c is an anti-inflamatory any way, so it will help. As natural from lemon or orange, or synthetic by pills
Sailor Man (1 month ago)
Don't think vitamin C pills are any good - it's synthetic rubbish and isn't even the whole vitamin, only part of it. ALWAYS get vitamin C from a food source and then the body metabolises it correctly and fully.

With all due respect to your kind person, the enzyme you are talking about, that work in conjuction with vitamin C (ascorpic acid) and copper to strengthen the arterial wall is lysine hydroxylase(you said it correctly this time) not tyrosinase( from your previous videos). Thank you very much, dr Berg. I love your videos.

gil bkk (1 month ago)
oh sorry, the ratio of calcium to magnesium is 10 to 1, this is another reason it is so bad for health ... the body will get acidic and will go borrow calcium from the bones to neutralize this acid .... the countries that drink the most milk have the most osteoporose problems, another fact you can look up
gil bkk (1 month ago)
nope, there is a problem with the protein of the A1 cows (black & white, the ones that give the most milk and crossbread for that reason) , A2 cows would be better... science, look it up in stead of being brainwashed by ignorance... the only reason the government said: milk is good in the '60 is because the milk farmers were in financial trouble ! another real fact...

Bad advice, don't chew cement. It has lime in it which is a strong base and can cause serious damage. For a Dr that is a very foolish analogy.

I have been having a full feeling in the veins of my hands, it's really been concerning me, and they have been seeming to stick out more than usual. Well, I took a high dose of D with K2 and in one dose see a noticeable difference. I was wondering why my hand veins felt relief and even look smaller, and was in a generally happier mood with good feelings of body calmness and relief and then remembered that I took the D/K2 today. I wonder if it's clearing up the calcifications in my body. I feel such a noticeable difference after just this one dose.

Cut carbs in half, sugar by probably 80% but still suspect high plaque in arteries.. had a left side burning chest pain this a.m. 2 minutes.. Took a hit of Nitro.. BP then went from high to 122/80 +- 5% Doc, I'm older at 72, but not fat and am a bit of an exercise freak.. anything else? Most of the carbs I consume are burned in a 2 mile walk, with 3 minutes jog worked into it. One y'r since Heart surgery.. 25% stronger and about 5 lbs less fat on me.. can't do much better than that. Bp pretty good, but still on the coversyl.. nothing else
