In this whiteboard session, Robert Hobbs, MD, cardiologist in Cleveland Clinic's Section of Heart Failure and Transplantation Medicine at the Heart & Vascular Institute, outlines what the ejection fraction is, normal to severe ejection fraction ranges (how well the heart squeezes) and its correlation to heart failure.
Doctor , thanks for your nice post. Doctors are giving me Vymada 50 for my 22% EF . Is it OK , Dr.
Whether this medicine improves EF or only maintains it for one to take it lifetime.
I also understand that it has side effects on kidney and lever etc. What to do , Dr . Kindly advise .
My EF is 60% age 34..although its still in normal range is it considered good normal? Also nowhere its mentioned about variability in EF throughout day or month..secondly is EF inversely related to heart beats?..thanks
My echocardiogram results show very very mild mitral valve regurgitation, 70% ejection fraction. With those result should I still be feeling ordering different times and lightheadedness at different times. This isn't due to strenuous activity, it's mainly random times
My cardiologist is obsessed with Ejection Fraction, at least with the number 35%. I've had mine tested 3 ways, echocardiogram and got 25%, nuclear stress test and got 38% and finally MUGA and got 28%. All within 1 week. He insists I need an implantable defibrillator because my EF is less than 35% on the MUGA even though I have no symptoms at all.
+Steven Miller mines is 36 just from a echo but I have chest pains badly I have all the symptoms I got see my sleep apnea doctor soon but I wont go back to the cardiologist until 3months if its the same or worse he will probably give me a defibrillator as well but he didn't mention it I dk what to do I got highhhhhh blood pressure and bad chest pain but my heart cath came back perfect\
Dr. Hobbs, i want to increase my ejection fraction of my heart. how do i increase it??
My operation was done on 11/11/2004. I am having RHD (DVR) of aortic and mitral valve. Both of the valve are of mechnical valve..
Presently my LVEF is 30 % .
The class of drugs that Levitra, Viagra, Stendra, and Cialis belong to are called PDE5 inhibitors. They work by relaxing tight blood vessels, allowing more blood to surge into the penis and cause an erection, says Gregory Bales, M.D., an associate professor of urology at the University of Chicago.
The little pills do the trick for more than two-thirds of men with Viagra protects the heart (ED). They also work for guys who simply need them for a short time to get their “confidence back,” says Michael Eisenberg, M.D., director of male reproductive medicine and surgery at Stanford University.
