Let’s point out the obvious: erections are really important to most men. For many men erections play a large role in their sexual pleasure. But, what if you could do more to help yourself have a stronger erection? Whether a guy is doing great in the bedroom or is having difficulty with his erections, here are six ways guys can help make their erections and maybe even orgasms, stronger.
Kegel exercises are a well-kept secret in the world of erections. Kegels exercise the pelvic floor, or PC, muscles, the muscles that you squeeze to stop the flow of urine. These muscles are also the muscles that contract during orgasm. Think about it this way, strengthen the PCs, and strengthen the orgasm. To practice these exercises, squeeze this muscles a few seconds and release for the same amount of time. Do a few of these a few times a day and you’ll be squeezing your way to better orgasms!
2. Put a Ring on It
C-ring are for men who have weak erections and difficulty keeping them hard, these bedroom accessories are their new best friend. Let’s first clear up a bit of confusion about rings- they don’t help a man who’s having trouble getting an erection. You actually need to first have an erection before you can use a ring. What these rings do is restrict the flow of blood out of an erect penis by fitting snugly around the base of the penis and sometimes the scrotum. This blood flow out of the penis is what causes it to go flaccid. For guys who want to stay erect stronger and longer, try a ring. Just be sure not to wear it longer than 20 minutes or if you experience any discomfort or pain discontinue use.
Check out Pure Romance’s website (www.pureromance.co.za) for a variety of c-ring styles that can help you last longer and provide added pleasurable stimulation for you and your partner.
3. Stay Healthy
Ok, this one seems a bit obvious because, of course, everyone should live healthier. But, did you know that erectile dysfunction (ED) is often a symptom of heart disease? That’s a pretty good reason to eat healthy, stay physically active, quit smoking, limit alcohol intake and visit your doctor. If you are experiencing ED, visit your doctor to rule out any health conditions that could be causing it or to receive treatment for any that may be present.
4. Monitor your medications
Disclaimer: If you’re ever thinking of going off prescribed medication for any reason, make sure it is with permission and under the supervision of your doctor.
That being said, certain medications can cause difficulties with erections. For some of these medications, there are alternative medications that your doctor could possibly switch you to that may not have this side effect. Visit your doctor to talk about your options.
5. Cut out the smoking
We said it before in #3 and we’ll say it again: don’t smoke. Not only does smoking cause a whole slew of adverse health conditions (lots of different types of cancers, heart disease, and stroke, just to name a few), each of which can wreck havoc on a person’s sex life; but what’s in the cigarettes can do a number on your erection as well. Nicotine in cigarettes restricts blood flow, a major problem because sexual arousal, i.e. getting an erection, is all about blood flowing to the genitals. When the blood can’t flow as well, your may end up with erectile difficulties.
6. Fool Around Longer
Fooling around is a great way to build desire and arousal that can help a man keep his erection stronger, longer. We’re all guilty of rushing to intercourse so fast that we forget how great foreplay can be in building arousal and that strong erection. So, take some more time with your partner to engage in more foreplay and you (and your partner) will no doubt see a result.
The class of drugs that Levitra, Viagra, Stendra, and Cialis belong to are called PDE5 inhibitors. They work by relaxing tight blood vessels, allowing more blood to surge into the penis and cause an erection, says Gregory Bales, M.D., an associate professor of urology at the University of Chicago.
The little pills do the trick for more than two-thirds of men with Viagra protects the heart (ED). They also work for guys who simply need them for a short time to get their “confidence back,” says Michael Eisenberg, M.D., director of male reproductive medicine and surgery at Stanford University.
