DESCRIPTION: Freedom of Information Act documents reveal that the U.S. Department of Agriculture warned the egg industry that saying eggs are nutritious or safe may violate rules against false and misleading advertising.

I have been eating 2 eggs a day for 5 decades and I dont have heart disease. My last total cholesteral was 160 and my ratio is great. I havn't gotten sick from salmonella. I dont understand why I have not gotten sick yet. Im 62 years old and I take vitamins too. I eat vegetarian 3 days a week. I eat alot of vegetables. I exercise and I eat so many dangerous eggs. I was hoping to hear eggs were good. They contain L cysteine which coverts to Glutathione the master antioxidant and eggs are loaded with choline which is great for the brain. I know they are not great in all regards but I have relatives that luved to their ninties and believed in eating soft boiled eggs daily. They did not have heart disease. I dont know what to think.
Very disapointed on this video. Clicked also on a few studies you give under video and of coures it makes me laugh that someone like you doctor or doctor wanna be gives us such a bad links. I mean second study comparing eggs to cigarets is just hilarious. It is observational study therefore we all now that its value is almost zero. And when someone gives me such a bad resource to back up some title its just bad.
I took some time and click on a few more studies from your webside and i must say it is absolutely horrific from you because you misguide people with bad science. in almost every study i open from your website there is a conclusion ( hypotesis, if, maybe, should be more investigated and so on). Studies you give us are observatinal and epidemic ones. This are not valid to talk serious,
To all the people reading this: First step should be understanding things. Understand how science works and what is a real value study otherwise you are fooled on every corner of your life. If you dont know how something works that is best for doctors like this one to mess up with you.
BTW: nothing against vegan or veganisem as long they keep me alone.
Doc, the nutrition guidelines are wrong. These same guidelines say that we should be eating lots of cereal, flour, and processed carbs. These guidelines only got us fatter and sicker. If you believe the government is looking out for your health, you really need to wake up. The guidelines are lobby influenced and simply wrong.
There is nothing wrong with eggs. If there were the Indians in India would be falling over with heart disease as would the vegetarian 7th day Adventists and most of the Blue Zone folks. And none of them are dying from that disease.
"Can't say they are nutritious"
How about this other video where people ask the vegan experts.
The so called expert says they are very very rich in nutrients...
And people feel they are "well informed", lol
This is just one of many mistakes I've caught in this whole dieting war logic.
Trying switching to egg whites & see what happens to cholesterol. Ate eggs forever & finally dropped yolks. Cholesterol moved to perfection. They said you can eat 10 eggs/week. I promise 2-3 will jack your cholesterol. Egg whites are safe & excellent protein.
Coin Ru, You Clearly don't know how lipo-proteins work, having high cholesterol doesn't specifically mean you're at a higher risk of heart disease, Mediterraneans have high cholesterol, but they live over 90 years of age and even much longer, they eat tons of olive oil, nuts seeds, eggs, fish and cured fatty meats like Pancetta and sausage meats like chorizo. Total cholesterol doesn't mean shit. if you knew better you wouldn't have even replied to me :)
Dietery cholesterol does not increase lipo-proteins, HDL's and LDL's aren't even cholesterols, they are cholesterol carriers, your HDL (Good) and LDL (bad) will both increase after ingesting cholesterol in its raw form. I eat about 60-75 whole extra large eggs a week and my cholesterol is only slightly high and that includes the HDL (good) cholesterol.
They're not healthy at all and who gives a shit if they were, there's a victim at the other end, no pun intended. People eating flesh, hen periods and sucking on cow pus like they're zombies breastfeeding =P
1) High dietary cholesterol is not linked to increased risk in coronary heart disease, nor is it linked to high serum cholesterol (Finnish study in 2016), so much so that many recommendations around the world now don’t have limits for intake dietary cholesterol.
2) High fat in food (and a high fat diet) can be actually beneficial, not detrimental. This is the old way of thinking nutritionally, where high fat anything was vilified. This benefit comes from combining it with low carb foods. It’s the high sugar and high carb foods that you have to watch out for. (See ketosis)
3) If you’re worried about salmonella from eating an egg (less than 200th of a percent), you probably have bigger problems in your life
It’s also important to note that the definition of healthy is defined by certain parameters which since 2015 have been sought out to be changed to a more robust definition. If you change the parameters, you change the foods in and out of those parameters.
If you’re against eggs because of ethical concerns, that’s all fine and well, but nutritionally, eating eggs I’m itself isn’t the end of the world people, nor does the evidence now show that it’s unhealthy
*Youtube~"Study finds bagged salad at high risk of salmonella"* 🙄🙄🙄🙄
SOoooooooo *DIC* , I mean duck, I mean doc , IT AIN'T JUST EGGS, IT IS EVERY DAMN EFFING THING THAT ISN'T COOKED WELL IS AT HIGH RISK OF SALMONELLA. HERE'S MY SUGGESTION PEOPLE TAKE PREBIOTICS EAT A LOT OF VEGETABLES ALL THE TIME, GET A LOT OF FIBER IN YOUR DIET, TAKE PROBIOTICS. TAKE HIGH DOSES OF A GOOD QUALITY VITAMIN C EVERYDAY. THEN YOU PROBABLY WON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT BAD BACTERIA OVER GROWING IN YOUR SYSTEM. THEN EAT ALL THE DAmn EGGS YOU WANT. I KNOW A GUY THAT IS 90 YEARS OLD AND EATS A DOZEN EGGS A DAY, AND HAVE SEX LIKE AN 18 YEAR OLD. 90-PLUS PERCENT OF YOUR TESTOSTERONE IS MADE FROM CHOLESTEROL ALSO GUYS. HOW ARE YOU DOING IN THAT DEPARTMENT DOC?
Isn't it true our livers produce 3000 mg or more of cholesterol everyday(one egg is like 200 mg 🙄)? So given this ridiculous premise that cholesterol is bad our livers are bad for us then? Cholesterol is good people. Our brains are made of cholesterol, and all are hormones in our body are made from cholesterol. Vitamin D which is really a master hormone is made from cholesterol people.
It's videos like these that remind me, despite your status as a doctor and that mostly logical big brain of yours, that being vegan completely blinds you. Eggs are one of the healthiest foods on the planet and have been repeatedly shown to be. I don't even need to list the studies showing this to be true because I'm sure you already know them all, but you just won't allow yourself to see it or say it.
But I'll go ahead and break down why this video is garbage.
First, you're just messing around with semantics most of the time. "Nutritious", "Nutrient dense", or whatever. It doesn't matter what the FDA or USDA calls it, they are just trying to comply with arbitrary laws set forth by a clueless organization. Every single food company has these discussions with their products to try to avoid lawsuits and what not. Every bit of your time spent on this subject was a waste, but you knew it would be easy pandering to your audience.
Second, a large egg has 1.5 grams of saturated fat and the FDA has the retarded number of >1 grams of saturated fats to be "healthy". 1.5 grams of saturated fat per egg....lmao, the horror! Those nuts you've made videos on endorsing have 10x the saturated fat per serving. The amount of fat per egg is negligible and saturated fats in moderation are healthy for you...but again, you already know that.
Recommended daily intake of cholesterol goes up seemingly every few years because we now know it's good for you. Yes, it's still recommended to limit it, but an egg or two a day won't hurt. Strike 3....but again, you already know this.
Salmonella lmao. 142,000 is what? 0.0001% of the population? Statistically insignificant, especially for an easily treatable illness. You may as well tell people to stop going outside due to the higher chances of getting the flu.
Newly vegan...I became vegan after hearing the threat of anemia from my doctor. So I looked into it and changed my eating habits which of course caused me to change my whole outlook on everything (from a vegan perspective). How is it possible, with all these facts and all this knowledge that people still eat animals?!! It's mind blowing to me.
It's still amaze me just how lots of people do not know about Fenoboci Diet Plan (search on google) although lots of people lost a lot of weight with it. Thanks to my friend who told me about this. I've lost lots of weight.
I eat 90-95% of my calories from whole plant foods and the rest vegan junk food, was told by my endocrinologist (I'm a trans woman) to go to her resident dietician to help with bloating after food and she kept trying to push more protein into my diet. I demonstrated to her via cronometer.com how the protein from all the fruits, vegetables, whole grains, mushrooms and legumes I eat adds up to 50-60 grams of protein a day which gives me the RDA and how I get a complete amino acid profile. She didn't believe me that these plants have enough protein in them. She started searching foods in her own database to see inconsistencies with what cronometer.com displayed and she couldn't find them...
She told me to stop eating cruciferous vegetables and eat more protein instead because she thinks the gas in the vegetables causes the bloating... and the foods she suggested were also fatty of course, and I know eating them makes me be bloated in general, not just after food. So much for her helping... thanks but no thanks, I prefer to eat my broccoli and be bloated after food if that's the price of eating the healthiest foods on the planet. Sheesh, dietician telling me not to eat vegetables...
Two years later I hear from a trans woman friend of mine who eats SAD type nutrition, going to the same dietician and she is still trying to push her protein philosophy... and this time, she isn't going for problems with bloating like me. She has high cholesterol! And what does the dietician tell her to eat? AN EGG EVERY DAY. Yes, she tells her to eat fruits and vegetables too, but HOW IS AN EGG A DAY SUPPOSED TO HELP WITH HIGH CHOLESTEROL?!? The most concentrated source of cholesterol in super markets? HOW!? My friend is already having a hard time getting herself to eat fruits and vegetables and you want to counteract their effect by making her eat MORE EGGS!?!?!?!
I asked if she was eating two eggs or more a day, and no... she was eating one egg a week... the dietician's advice would make my friend gain MORE cholesterol... what hope is there for patients when the doctors give advice that makes things worse?
I've eaten eggs my entire life. I also eat steaks, bacon, ice cream, chocolate, chips.....
I also eat 7 portions of fruit and veg a day (mostly raw in a smoothie with kale, carrot and seeds as well as fruit). Then more veg for evening meal. I eat fish twice a week. I'm 42 y.o., 180lbs, 6'2" tall, resting heartbeat of 58 bpm (max 190), my doc says I have perfect blood pressure, my grandparents eat the same. They're in their late 80s. My great grandma lived to 97.
Eat dirty if you want. Enjoy it. Enjoyment is good for you! Just don't eat so much! Make it a treat! If you're gonna eat bread, hunt down a good bakery and get some real bread.
Join a sports club. I play badminton. I'm crap! But we have a great time.
I cycle there.
Don't worry so much. That will kill you quicker than the eggs will.
The class of drugs that Levitra, Viagra, Stendra, and Cialis belong to are called PDE5 inhibitors. They work by relaxing tight blood vessels, allowing more blood to surge into the penis and cause an erection, says Gregory Bales, M.D., an associate professor of urology at the University of Chicago.
The little pills do the trick for more than two-thirds of men with Viagra protects the heart (ED). They also work for guys who simply need them for a short time to get their “confidence back,” says Michael Eisenberg, M.D., director of male reproductive medicine and surgery at Stanford University.
