I looked up my coat of arms and they are all different but they all consistently have 3 birds and there is a line that runs down the middle that splits through the bottom bird so while there isn't a credible way to see which one is the true one , I can at least say that I know what it should look like perhaps I should make my own for my family

You are partly correct however most BURGHER ARMS were ASSUMED by an individual not by a surname. In Switzerland many farmers as well as others assumed arms. The british system of having to be GRANTED an ARMORIAL ACHEIVEMENT not coat of arms is foriegn too us. Finland sweeden norway denmark germany france the majority ASSUMED ARMS. Only the MONARCHS and NOBLES had them it britain however on occassion a peasnt could be granted arms nonnoblese. If you simply assume arms and have them notorized then they are LEGIT! Stay away from a bogus heraldry co. called HOUSE OF NAMES in canada.
