How to Treat IBS Naturally

For more info: https://draxe.com/ibs-diet-food-cures/?utm_campaign=Youtube-Aug-2015&utm_medium=social&utm_source=youtube&utm_term=IBS In this video, I am going to talk to you about IBS natural treatments and the IBS diet. IBS stands for Irritable Bowel Syndrome. I have worked with thousands of patients and helped lay out natural treatments to help people overcome this condition, and I know you can overcome it, too. 4 Steps to Treat IBS: 1) What foods to stay away from if you have IBS: • Gluten - This inflammatory protein in grain can cause IBS. I suggest at the start of treatment to stay away from ALL grain products (especially wheat). After about 3-9 months, you can start adding in some sprouted or sourdough grains. • Casein or conventional dairy products - Kefir or fermented dairy can be helpful, but regular dairy can be very destructive for IBS. • Hydrogenated Oils • Raw foods - salads and raw foods can damage the gut if you have IBS, so it’s best to eat only cooked foods. • Cold foods - Ice water, Ice cream and cold foods are hard on the digestive system • Processed or refined/packaged foods 2) Top healing foods for IBS (consume foods that nourish the colon and spleen) • White immune-boosting foods ⁃ Cauliflower, Garlic and Onions - Cooked onions and garlic can kill off bad bacteria in the gut. • Squashes ⁃ Butternut, Acorn and Spaghetti Squashes are nourishing to the spleen and colon • Bone Broth- #1 superfood to consume to heal IBS ⁃ Bone Broth soup contains amino acid to help repair and heal the intestinal lining. ⁃ A perfect meal would be a crockpot with organic meat, bones/broth, and vegetables such as squash and celery. 3) Quality Supplements • Live Probiotic Supplements • L-Glutamin - amino acid that protects and nourishes the gut lining • Frankincense Essential Oil - reduces inflammation • Digestive Enzymes - take at meal to help break down food so it is easier to digest 4) Focus on reducing stress • Schedule 3 things daily ⁃ Long walk in nature ⁃ Read a spiritual growth book, meditate or pray ⁃ Wind down with a detox bath at night ⁃ 1 cup epsom salt and 20 drops oil (Lavendar) and soak away If you want more natural treatments for IBS check out: http://draxe.com/ibs-diet-food-cures/ *This content is strictly the opinion of Dr. Josh Axe, and is for informational and educational purposes only. I have ibs.... I know what stops me up. Cheese makes it hard for me to poop.... This is horrible...

Seriously? No grain, no dairy... Just bone broth and squash are all he can suggest to eat? Plus too much garlic seems to make my symptoms worse. I can't do the heavy type grains because my gut doesn't digest them but at the beginning of my issues I did dairy free diet trial and had literally no change and when on it again, still no change. Artificial sweeteners also seem to have some effect for me. It's different for everyone but this video doesn't seem based on science, just from those who don't believe in modern medicine.

Hi Im not comfortable telling my friends this it need help or advice. I started homeschooling cause I mentally cannot go to high school due to the fear of my stomach getting loud, in the quiet when I’m anxious it always seems to be loud. Last year I went to a therapist and told them exactly everything and she said “ everyone’s stomach makes noises “ and she never believed that was the problem. I attempted suicide because I was alone because I was terrified to go in public. Tonight I’m a anxious mess, the guy I like wants to date me but I am absolutely terrified of embarrassment and I know it will be hell for me on dates I won’t be able to eat due to being so anxious and being alone in the quiet I’m going to be worried of my stomach making noises. I don’t know what to do I’m to embarrassed to tell people this problem.

Wood based food additives (Cellulose, ester gum, etc.) are not digestible and can ferment in the gut creating wood alcohol which is poisonous. This creates all kinds of problems including IBS, chronic cough, etc.. I cured my IBS by reading labels and getting cellulose out of my diet. I found it in white breads and pastries, grated cheeses, some items with cheese sauce, and especially ice cream (3 separate kinds of cellulose in most brands). Dairy Queen does not have cellulose, nor does Tillamook.

Irresponsible to upload a video full of statements and advises that go against our scientific knowledge of IBS. Steer clear from this nonsense and get your information from reliable sources, people! Tip: search for the low-FODMAP diet, which IS backed by scientific data.

Pork salmon cream cheese, cheddar and other cheeses... well almost everything thats tasty. But because i can eat just bread rice and some veg ive put so much on weight also exercise gives me either diarrhoea or heartburn;/ ive run out of ideas on what to do to be healthy again :(

I have a IBS and I have a hard time tolerating garlic even if it’s cooking well within food. I’m not sure if it’s just the garlic itself is a sensitive ingredient for me. Mint teas also help soothe my stomach as well as soups and broth, and mashed potatoes. Greek yogurt is my ish to, it’s the only form of dairy I eat on a regular. I found that eliminating dairy has help me so much. I also drink kombucha and diluted acv on a regular and I feel it cleanses my stomach. But since I’ve been diagnosed with ibs and gastritis; it is extremely hard for me sometime because I didn’t grow up with this is. The healing process is long and tedious. And every ibs patient is so very different, a elimination diet helped me realize most of the foods that’s trigger me. Even tho oddly enough, some days I eat those same trigger foods that may have dairy or wheat and it does not bother me. You will still have bad days or flare ups time to time, But these tips are definitely helpful to get on track.

It’s upsetting when you know that something as bad as this is going to stick with you for the rest of your life ( most likely) if anyone has any tips on how to better myself please let me know.... thanks

IBS - irritable bowel syndrome, primarily triggered by psychosomatics... Your recommendations are for IBD - inflammatory bowel disease. Similar symptoms. Two completely different etiologies...
The hardest part about dealing with gut issues is one doctor completely contradicts the next one. You watch one video that says avoid onions and garlic at all costs and now we hear that they work wonders. Who do you believe? It's just a matter of finding what works for each individual but for many of us, it hasn't happened yet.

No fermented veggies? I'm alternating between fermented veggies, a mono meal of a fruit such as dates or a vegetable such as steamed broccoli, and back to fermented veggies. Along with this, I'm taking Garden of Life Raw Probiotics with my meals as well as Garden of Life chewable enzymes, and I'm noticing a difference!!! I'm a vegan so bone broth is absolutely not an option.

IBS is caused by an overgrowth of Bad Bacteria in the Gut, FIGHT IT OFF WITH ONION AND GARLIC, AND GINGER, THE REASON IT MAKES YOU BLOATED AT FIRST IS BECAUSE YOUR ATTACKING THE BAD BACTERIA, WHEN YOU KILL SOMETHING IT REALEASES TOXINS AND GAS GONNA MAKE YOU FEEL BLOATED AT FIRST, THIS MEANS ITS WORKING, DONT GIVE UP SO EASY KEEP DOING IT DRINK A LOT OF WATER, TURMERIC, MAGNESIOM HELPS RELAX THE MUSCLES HELPING REALESE THE GAS, LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS
Israel Gabriel (2 months ago)
for you all to cure this you must first understand what is causing it,....People say that eating probiotics will help, and they are on the right track, but they will do nothing if you don't first elimenate some of the bad bacteria first, the best way to do that is by eating lots of onion and Garlic, Lots of people think that onion and Garlic is bad for it, and it might at first exaserbate it, but what your actually doing is killing off the bad bacteria, the more and more you do this the more you kill the bad bacteria, other things help too like being Vegetarian perferably vegan, but also juicing, using lots of Radish, Garlic , Onion, Ginger, and many other vegetables, and switching them up, but you mainly want to put Onion and Garlic in just about every meal. Before you pass this off, WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO LOSE BY TRYNG IT FOR ONE MONTH?? Let me know if this works for you even though I know it will as it works for me and what works for me works for you

I think this is what I had since I turned 19 it might be lactose intolerance because that’s common in African Americans, but I feel like my symptoms match more with IBS. Thanks for helping. I’m tired of feeling bloated and bad in my abdomen.☹️

Oh my this could really cause people with IBS more symptoms. Those white foods are some of the most fermentable foods, with FODMAP sugars in them. My clients often have the most issues with onions and garlic. Everyone should know you have unique triggers and what you can tolerate will be different from someone else. If this doesn’t work, don’t give up, you can get better ❤️

This food advise by doctor is not going to impact in the same way to everyone.Garlic can be good but again not for everyone so it simply depends what your body likes and what doesn't and we know about it.Everyones  IBS is not the same nor it requires the same treatment. These things are complex and even doctors have no clues in most cancer causing diseases. Some doctors are lunatics when they fail patients by not identifying the real causes of broblems because they don't take it serious.

I have diarrhea problems on and off for 15 years and been to NHS doctors many times and they have failed me with no identity of the cause and instead concluded it as IBS which has no treatment as they say and prescribed relief medicines which don't work all times.Useless and careless  doctors.

Ok so the past 3 months I had moderate IBS and now it’s gone here’s what I do Be sure to eat healthy I personally avoid beans, nuts, too much sugar, and rice also with chicken makes digestion worse and eat food that you now you’ll be ok with.Drink before your meal I been drinking alkaline water for my stomachs to soothe with gerd. Drinking before helps digestion do one at a time. In morning I do this yoga video and also I bend down to the floor idk y but it helps. Then I have raspberries and any berry to balance hormones and just be healthy. I bought a mint plant and eat it time to time for any bloating and digestion. Peppermint oil helps I put it on salads and helps a lot. Avoid spicy foods of course and go on With your day with just healthy food helps a lot I have eat apples especially the skin helped me. Rly just any food without it to betoo unhealthy doesn’t hurt but I don’t know ur stomachs so make sure to get all vitamins in types of foods or eat it by tablets. Evening I do this yoga and have dinner no later than 8 also for my gerd. Then before bed I have tea preferably chamomile or peach and honey helps and tastes better. Then a little snack or anything I eat yogurt with berries in it for next morning. Then sleep with ur head up idk for anyone this is nessiscary cuz I have gerd but helps . And just be calm I had anxiety and ate horrible which made me get this and I honestly don’t care what others think of me cuz nerves can impact digestion a lot which was me.

I take two shots of apple cider vinegar mixed with water in the morning and at night. It helps break down the food. Also a sweat belt and a stair climbers.

Can you skip the probiotic supplements and eat fermented food every day instead?
