(9 Jun 2018) Authorities in Singapore started to enhance security facilities on Saturday at a location declared as a 'special event area' related to the upcoming summit between US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. Concrete barricades were erected on roads within the Tanglin district, which is one of two locations considered as 'special event areas' from June 10 to 14 for the summit.   The area was part of its city centre near the US embassy as well as several hotels, including Shangri-La and St. Regis hotels. The other area was Sentosa island, site of Capella hotel which will be the venue for the June 12 historic summit.
