Andrew, I subscribe to the Essential Craftsmans Channel. He gave you a nice compliment and said he was going to send you a Burke bar he made from steel. He is a hardworking talented man like yourself. A compliment from him holds a lot of weight. Let us see you use the Burke bar in one of your videos. I live in Saugerties too.
Andrew Camarata (29 дней назад)
Yeah that was very nice of him to make that bar, I am looking forward to getting it.

Andrew if you had to replace the Hitachi EX100 what would you get
Andrew Camarata (1 месяц назад)
IDK, Kolbeco, yanmar maybe. Depends what I come across. I would like a hydraulic thumb and maybe a blade too.

Water drainage ditch or strip mine? Lol Love your videos Andrew I know how mountain bedrock is a pain when grading! Keep up the hard work!

The only reason i subscribed was to tell you to make the pocket bike an every video item. It is hilarious
Drew Allen (1 месяц назад)
Man so glad I don’t work in that rocky region lol. Love the views though. Curious why you loosened all the soil on the steeper grade? Would that be more prone to washing in to your new trench? Anyways, pleasure to watch as usual.

You remind me of my father in law who was a track hole operator. I once ask him just how good he was with that bucket. He told me he could take the top layer of paint off a brand new car down to the primer with out scratching the primer while it was driving by the job site. As I was shaking my head and walking away he almost chocked on his cigar laughing so hard. I did not ask many questions after that. (old school)

Ditch the rock background music. Silence or the actual captured sound of the machine is best. IMHO. Otherwise, this is one of my favorite channels!
no name (1 месяц назад)
I like the music. I think it fits well.
Andrew Camarata (1 месяц назад)
The sound from the machines is gone when the video is sped up. I try to do enough regular speed video, than go to Tim lapse sequence to see hours of work get done in minutes. Anything who doesn't like the music should just lower the volume while its playing.

I noticed you put the hood up on the excavator, I assume for cooling. If so, try getting an air comb on Amazon, as it works great for cleaning radiators in place, and might solve your cooling issue.
Andrew Camarata (1 месяц назад)
This thing? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Innovative-Products-Of-America-8051-24-Air-Comb-Filter-And-Radiator-Cleaner/400518196721?hash=item5d40beadf1:g:nQYAAMXQzopRy4v9:rk:4:pf:0 I just ordered one, thanks.

Nice work, as always. You should look into getting a Gradall, I had the pleasure to watch one being used this past summer. I was amazed to see it work, also very surprised to see that the operator could "drive" the truck from the shovels controls.

We just purchased 13 acres adjacent to a national forest in Georgia. I’m going to be doing some work on it with a JD 110 backhoe. I wish you lived closer, I’d put you to work.

If you could get a rock crusher you could make gravel out of those rocks that seem to be everywhere up there and just pave that road with gravel. Might keep those ruts from forming.

+Andrew Camarata -- Andrew, with your audio in your videos, when you speak - your audio level is low, generally when you add music it's at a much higher audio level than your voice. People want to hear you speak Andrew, they are very interested in what you say, you don't shout you have a soft pleasant voice, so they crank up the volume, then when music appears it's too loud for them. Andrew this isn't a criticism of your video, many of the people watching didn't protect their hearing like you always do, consequently they have trouble with the differences in audio levels. This is usually called "normalizing" the audio, most major video editors have features that make it easy to do, here is a link with some information on normalizing. https://www.techsmith.com/blog/edit-video-normalize-audio-clips-volume/

Jay Todd (1 месяц назад)
59 dollars!..what a good deal..last month I gave the john deere folk $230 for that same hose..
Jay Todd (1 месяц назад)
Well in my situation there the hose just looks horrible on the ex120..shredded and frayed always expecting it to blow out on a day I couldn't obtain one so I thought id keep a new one in the field just in case...so I paid of course
Andrew Camarata (1 месяц назад)
Better to go to a hydraulic shop than the dealer for hoses. Unless its something really special, but 98% of the time, they have the parts there to make the hose.

Jay Todd (1 месяц назад)
OMG son! Never push the dead ones like that..always cut those. .Dead trees make dead operators
Jay Todd (1 месяц назад)
Yes they can..its the really big old dead ones that can recoil, snap and come back on cab..glad you put this video up..I'm building a drive and all I currently have running is my ex120 and branson tractor..gives me some confidence lol
Andrew Camarata (1 месяц назад)
Than its much harder to get the stumps out. They can be pushed over, just don't slam into them, push them slow. I showed an example of what not to do when I bumped into that one tree.
Dave C. (1 месяц назад)
What a beautiful property to work on. Very nice. Quick question...what size stone did you top coat that driveway with at the end of the video? Any fines? Thank you!
Andrew Camarata (1 месяц назад)
3/4" stone, no dust.

Hi Andrew another great video,, I love it you being a one-man show on everything you have a vast knowledge,, IS IT POSSIBLE TO INCLUDE THE PRICE OR PER/HOUR CHARGE  for comparison reasons in the UK
Andrew Camarata (1 месяц назад)
In the past I have charged $100 per hour, Trying to charge more for the larger equipment though. If I price a job at a set rate, ill often aim higher than that.

When is it best to gravel? I laid some down this spring. We didn’t get any rain till these past few days. Should I use my tractor bucket to drag back like a skid steer again?
Deer Park Farmstead OLD CHANNEL (1 месяц назад)
Thanks Andrew. Kick ass vid. That pocket bike came in handy. Good idea
Andrew Camarata (1 месяц назад)
Deer Park Farmstead spring is probably best. But it can be done whenever. Sometimes doing it right before plowing. It can get plowed.

Hey there, I was curious what made you choose the tractor over a skid steer for that job? I am trying to figure out what equipment to have around my place. Thank you for another great video.
Unorthodox Fabrication (1 месяц назад)
+Andrew Camarata thank you that make sense. I have 3 skidsteers, 1 works at the moment... I am not as good of a mechanic as you. But I am attempting a lot more repairs since I have been seeing your videos.
Andrew Camarata (1 месяц назад)
The tractor was already there, and the skid steers were broken.
Theking16 (1 месяц назад)
Just a recommendation you might find useful make a tow behind roller about the with of your ford. Make it so you can attach it to the hitch on the truck. When your tailgating gravel it gets compacted behind you. I’ve done this before not as good as a roller but way cheaper.
Grady Hood (1 месяц назад)
have you ever thought about buying a hydraulic thumb for your hitachi or yanmar? I feel like you could get some real use of of it, always dealing with rocks in your area
Grady Hood (1 месяц назад)
I didn’t even think about that. Gotcha
Andrew Camarata (1 месяц назад)

Dave Calvo (1 месяц назад)
Hey Andrew, good to see you running the Hitachi. That work you did definitely helped that driveway and it came out great, I was hoping they would spring for the gravel as it needs it once you run the excavator. I was wondering why you used the Ford and not one of the Bobcat skid steers? I do like that Ford and we will be getting one soon ourselves. FYI my partner and I did our first job as "Timberhitch LLC" today, a small tree job but I enjoyed every minute of it. Just want to say you were a big inspiration for us getting out company started and thank you for all the great vids buddy. Someday we will have to meet up and grab a drink.....Dave
