8 Signs Of High Blood Sugar Levels

05:35
When you have high blood sugar levels, your body will give you these warning signs. What most people don’t know is that high blood sugar levels can cause severe damage. Whether you’re diabetic or not, high blood sugar can cause damage to your nerves, organs and blood vessels. The real danger though is when your blood sugar level does not go down. It’s when it doesn’t go down where serious health problems can occur. One of the reasons why people suffer from high blood sugar is because they are uneducated about the seriousness of it and the signs that our body gives. Reducing your sugar consumption is one of the most important health tips that you should listen to. Weight loss is just one of the many benefits of lowering your sugar intake. #BloodSugar #HighBloodSugar #BloodSugarLevels Timestamps: Constantly Thirsty 0:58 Increased Eating Habits 1:20 Constant Urination 1:54 Chronic Fatigue 2:22 Blurry Vision 2:45 Dry Skin 3:07 Impotence 3:29 Weight Gain 3:44 Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music Summary: - The main reason why high blood sugar causes you to be thirsty is polyuria. When your blood sugar level is high, your kidneys cannot keep up. So they produce more urine to get rid of the excess glucose they cannot absorb. This causes you to become dehydrated, according to WebMD. - If you find that your eating habits are increasing, you might have high blood sugar levels, according to the Mayo Clinic. The reason why high blood sugar levels can cause increased eating is that glucose is unable to enter the cells. It could be because of lack of insulin or possibly insulin resistance. When this happens, your body is unable to convert the food you eat into energy. So if your body feels it doesn’t have enough energy, it will require more food to try and produce glucose. - This sign is directly linked to constant thirst, according to the Mayo Clinic. Your kidneys are unable to keep up with the excess sugar, so they only way they can get rid of it is through urination. Keep an eye on your trips to the bathroom. If you find you are going every hour, you could have high blood sugar levels. But this could also mean you have a more serious health issue. The best advice is to go talk to your doctor. - You might think that having high blood sugar means you have a lot of energy. The total opposite can happen though. When you have high blood sugar, you urinate more and you become thirsty because your kidneys cannot absorb the glucose and create energy, says WebMD. With no energy, your body will become weak and tired. - When you have high blood sugar, it can cause the lenses of your eyes to swell, WebMD. Anyone that has had swollen lenses knows that it causes your vision to become blurry. In most cases, this is just temporary, but consult a doctor to get a proper diagnosis. - If you experience this sign, your blood sugar levels may have been high for quite some time. High blood sugar levels can cause the nerves to become damaged and also causes the body to lose fluids rapidly, explains WebMD. If this process continues for years, the body’s nerves become damaged and the skin becomes dry. - For men, when it comes to performance in the bedroom, they rely on proper blood flow, according to WebMD. High blood sugar disrupts that blood flow and even damages the nerves and blood vessels. - If you have high blood sugar, chances are you might be insulin resistant. In this case, your cells no longer respond to insulin. It is extremely difficult for insulin-resistant cells to take glucose from your blood. Because of this, your blood sugar levels begin to build up over time. This can cause you to gain weight, according to Livestrong. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subscribe to Bestie : https://goo.gl/tUqro6 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our Social Media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/bestieinc/ ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A1C is an average of the patients blood sugar (glucose) readings over the past three months and is the single most important test that can predict the future for the diabetic patient. Since the test correlates with the future complications from diabetes in the next few weeks to over 20 years; it is like a crystal ball for the diabetic patient says Dr. Anup, MD. A high level correlates with increased complications like blindness, heart attack, kidney damage, hospitalizations and even expenses on diabetes. It is absolutely necessary for a diabetic to understand this test and to know what to do if the levels are high, so that they can better control their condition and can avoid complications from diabetes. Harry Boxer: Charts on Canopy Growth, Tandem Diabetes

03:05
At MoneyShow San Francisco, Harry Boxer: technicals will tell you what to do at all times. Trade what you see, not what you think. Joe Granville once said you're better off with a number on a chart, not the name of a company. You will think twice about selling because of the fundamentals story. I put swing trades on 3 cannabis stocks. CGC went from $7 to $45. Tandem Diabetes TNDM from $4 to $40. So many stocks are spiking up. The market may be in final phase, 3 days, 3 months or even a year.

Insulin and Weight loss ➠ How to Control & Lower Insulin Resistance Levels Fat Loss Diabetes Leptin

08:31
Everything you need to know about Insulin and Weight Loss. In this video I reveal how to control and lower insulin resistance. Lower your insulin levels and battle diabetes with diet and exercise. 🔥 FREE 6 Week Challenge: https://gravitychallenges.com/home65d4f?utm_source=ytube&utm_term=insulin Fat Loss Calculator: http://bit.ly/2O5Dxzw Insulin and weight loss. What exactly makes these two so dependent on each other? If you dig through a little bit of fat loss research you'll see right away that insulin is very closely connected with burning fat and losing weight. In fact without reducing insulin there is almost no way we can burn a substantial amount of fat no matter how hard we exercise and diet. And even though most people have heard about insulin spikes not being good for weight loss the average person doesn't truly understand why. Well my hope is that today I can explain this in a way that anybody can understand. It all starts with you eating food. When you eat food the chewed up food particles get broken down further in your stomach into very small parts and then they pass through your intestines at which point your body absorbs and breaks down those nutrients and calories again and dumps them into your bloodstream. These broken down nutrients can't just jump into the cells that need them for their daily functions without some help. That's where insulin comes in. Insulin is a hormone secreted by your pancreas and it gets released into your bloodstream when your body senses that blood sugar has increased. Very high blood sugar levels are not good for you and your body knows this. So insulin acts as a bridge between your cells and the sugar found floating around in your blood. Without insulin your blood sugar would be very high because your body wouldn't be able to get that sugar into the cells. This is actually pretty much what type 2 diabetes is. When people are insulin resistant which means that insulin isn't doing its job they usually wind up being labeled as a type 2 diabetic which means that they need an external source of insulin for example either a shot or a pill to get their blood sugar down. So what does all of this have to do with fat loss and weight loss. Well whether you eat pasta brown rice or drink a can of soda all of it will eventually be broken down and it will be blood sugar floating around in your bloodstream. The only difference is that whole high-fiber carbs like brown rice will take a lot longer to digest which means that the sugar will be released into your bloodstream slowly while the can of soda will pretty much be released all at once. When it's released into your bloodstream slowly you give your body a chance to actually use it overtime so you won't require quite as much insulin which leads to less of it being stored as fat. Before insulin starts storing blood glucose into fat cells it will first store as much of it as possible into your liver for later use. The liver can only hold a limited amount of blood sugar and then the excess starts to get dumped off into your muscle cells. Now your muscle cells can hold more of this glucose then your liver can however it also has its limit. By building more muscle you're going to be able to increase this limit and use more of the blood sugar for your muscles rather than storing it as fat, however again even the most muscular person on the planet is going to have a limit of how much of this blood glucose can actually be used by the muscles. Once that limit is reached we hit a point called spillover where the sugar that came from mostly carbohydrates in your diet will begin to be stored in fat cells in order to lower the sugar found in your blood stream to normal levels. So insulin is an anabolic hormone that causes weight gain and growth. The opposite hormone to insulin is a catabolic hormone known as glucagon which is released when blood sugar drops too low. Glucagon just like insulin goes in and acts as a bridge between the stored energy in your cells and your bloodstream. Except it has the inverse effect. So it pulls energy from your cells and dumps it into the bloodstream. Before your body will start pulling fat from fat cells for energy it will first pull that stored glucose from your liver and your muscle cells. This is why so many low carb diets work. When you don't have that many carbs it's easy for your body to use up the carbs stored in your muscles and your liver and then proceed straight to burning fat for energy. This is the same reason why ketogenic diets work. Except an added benefit to ketogenic diets is that your body becomes more efficient at using fat for energy which means more fat will burnt.

This allows you to make needed adjustments and helps reduce the risk of complications associated with diabetes. Check your fasting and postprandial (post-meal) blood sugar levels on a regular basis. You must check your blood sugar level first thing in the morning to get your fasting rate, then two hours after eating your first meal. Your fasting blood sugar level should be less than 95 milligrams per deciliter (mg/dL), while your two-hour postprandial blood sugar goal should be less than 120 mg/dL. 2. Science Explains How Much Sleep You Need Depending on Your Age

09:21
How to Get Enough Sleep for Your Age. People usually think that 7–8 hours of sleep is enough, but that's not always the case. In fact, the number of hours you need to enjoy proper sleep depends and stay healthy depends on your age. Follow some simple rules to restore energy and get the most out of your recharge time. What happens when you experience a lack of sleep 1:09 If you constantly feel sleepy, are easily irritated, feel exhausted during the day, or often yawn, you most likely suffer from sleep deprivation. Not getting enough sleep also increases the risk of developing the following problems and diseases: exhaustion, depression, changes in hormone function, cardiovascular diseases, visual impairment, and diabetes. How much sleep is needed for your age 3:44 Scientists have established the connection between age and the required number of hours a person needs to have a good night’s sleep. Newborns 0–3 months old need about 14–17 hours of sleep daily. If you're the parent of a 1- or 2-year-old toddler, make sure they sleep for no less than 11–14 hours every day. Kids from 6 to 13 years old still need more sleep than adults: 9–11 hours. Young adults of 18–25 years old need less sleep: just 7–9 hours every day. The same can be said about adults between 26 and 64 years of age: 7–9 hours are enough for them to rest. Elderly people older than 65 sleep even less: 7–8 hours a day. Each person has individual needs, which may change these numbers. People who are sick, stressed, or, on the contrary, extremely active need more sleep to recharge. How to get enough sleep and feel refreshed every day 5:36 Fall asleep and wake up at the same time every day. A fixed schedule will regulate your body clock. Don't overeat, have tonic drinks before bed, and avoid cigarettes and alcohol. Create a cozy and comfortable atmosphere in your bedroom. The temperature in the room shouldn't be higher than 75ºF. A short walk in the fresh air before going to bed will help you fall asleep more quickly. Try not to use gadgets before going to bed, and turn off electrical appliances at night. Even if you aren't tired, you still need to go to bed at the same time every day. If you're lucky, you'll fall asleep after a short while. Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music TIMESTAMPS Lack of sleep 1:09 Age and sleep 3:44 Sleep improvement 5:36 SUMMARY -Being sleep deprived negatively affects the quality of future bouts of sleep. Not getting enough sleep weakens your immune system and can have serious consequences. Your emotional state can also be affected by a lack of sleep. -Scientists have established the connection between age and the required number of hours a person needs to have a good night’s sleep. What I Would Eat if I had Diabetes?

Take Dr. Berg's Body Type Quiz: http://bit.ly/BodyTypeQuiz Dr. Eric Berg talks about Sugar and diabetes. Sugar increases insulin which lowers the sugar in the blood and puts it in storage as fat. A healthy diet should consist of fats and moderate amount of proteins. A diabetic diet should have high quantities of fat. Sugar stimulates hunger and you carve for more food. 40 % of all heart diseases are related to excess sugar. Keeping your blood sugar levels in control is a primary objective for a healthy body. The current recommendations for carbohydrates based on the American Diabetes Associations is 45-60 grams of carbohydrates PER MEAL!!!!! not per day, per meal. http://www.diabetes.org/food-and-fitn... blood sugar problems can be improved if the right foods are eaten, but overall sugars and carbs must be reduced. Fats can be increased. Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, 50 years of age is a chiropractor who specializes in weight loss through nutritional and natural methods. A1C test is a blood tests that gives you an average level of your blood sugar over the previous 90 days. The higher the percentage, the higher your average blood glucose levels are, and the higher your risk for either diabetes or related complications due to chronic high blood sugar and insulin levels. It’s much more accurate than checking your blood sugar levels. Needless to say, all of us will look and feel much better and actually help prevent MOST diseases by keeping your A1C levels lower. So with that said, I’m going to quickly discuss 10 clinically proven ways that you can quickly, easily and naturally improve your blood sugar levels, lower your A1C and help avoid and/or reverse many health problems. 1. Exercise Daily Regular, daily exercise can help you lose unwanted fat. But more importantly, helps improve “insulin sensitivity”. 2. Eat The Correct Carbohydrates When you eat carbs, your body converts it into sugar (mostly glucose). As your blood sugar goes up, your body secretes insulin to help lower it back down to a normal, healthy range. Now, carbs are not evil. However, the wrong carbs, especially in high amounts ARE bad for your health. Focus more on vegetables, some yams, little bit of rice, legumes, quinoa and whole grains. Get rid of the bad carbs and eat less total carbs.(2,3,4,5) 3. Eat More Fiber Fiber has so many benefits and sadly, most people are barely getting any. You should be eating at least 25 grams or more. While most Americans are barely getting around 5-10. 4. Eat Smaller Meals, More Often I’m sure you’ve heard about this when it comes to weight loss. However, one of the reasons for the weight loss is the lower blood sugar levels from eating smaller meals. (9,10,11) 5. Watch What You Drink You should never drink your calories -- no sodas, juices, alcohol, “shakes” or anything similar. They all digest quickly and spike up your blood sugar. 6. Manage Your Stress Levels You can’t have health without also discussing stress management. What’s interesting is that stress increases blood sugar levels AND decreases insulin sensitivity. (15,16) And this is because of a change in hormones such as glucagon, cortisol, testosterone, adrenal hormones and so forth. (17,18) 7. Better Quality Sleep You can’t manage your stress if you don’t get enough, quality sleep. Again, this has to do with a negative changes in your hormones when you don’t sleep well. (20,21) 8. Drink Apple Cider Vinegar Apple cider vinegar, like exercise, helps lower blood sugar levels AND improve insulin sensitivity. (22,23,24). 9. Lose Fat Losing unwanted fat and decreasing your belly fat has numerous health benefits. This is even more true with blood sugar levels because the lower your body fat, the higher your insulin sensitivity. 10. Take Natural Supplements Most people just give up after a week or two since they aren’t getting results fast enough, especially for the amount of time and effort. This is why I always suggest people take natural supplements. ======================================== ======================================== Thank you for watching. Please Tell Me Your Success Story: https://bit.ly/2O9C0HT FREE Insulin Resistance Mini Course: http://pxlme.me/-i717vtY Take Dr. Berg's Advanced Evaluation Quiz: http://bit.ly/EvalQuiz Your report will then be sent via email analyzing 104 potential symptoms, giving you a much deeper insight into the cause-effect relationship of your body issues. It's free and very enlightening. Dr. Berg talks about what is insulin resistance (IR). IR is the body's defense mechanism of rejecting sugar (glucose). The body is against excess glucose and to do this it shuts down insulin receptors. There is so much damage that is created with excess glucose - inflammation, diabetes, heart disease, etc. Using ketones as your primary fuel source is a cleaner fuel, and is the body's natural preferred fuel. A ketogenic diet helps not just weight loss, but many body problems over time. MORE DATA: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZiITC... It is about the time that you are not eating. 31:24 Insulin inhibits lipolysis, stopping you from burning fat. 32:24 On a 7 day water only fast, your insulin falls and you switch from burning food to burning fat. 33:13 During fasting, as your insulin falls, you get a counter-regulatory hormone surge, increasing adrenaline, noradrenaline, growth hormone and cortisol. 33:53 There is a period of gluconeogenesis at around 24 hours into fasting. You will burn protein, not muscle. 35:40 If the old protein is never broken down, you cannot build new protein. 37:26 You get much better retention of lean mass with an intermittent fasting strategy over cutting calories. 38:24 Biggest Loser style diets sink metabolic rates. 42:15 Women can fast. Ghrelin is the hunger hormone. Women have higher ghrelin spikes. 43:01 If you don't eat over 24 hours ghrelin spikes 3 times, at breakfast, lunch and dinner, then drops. Hunger does not continue to increase. 45:04 Cravings disappear with fasting and keto. 49:38 You can eat high carb foods and keep low insulin. 51:09 Sugar is more fattening than other carbohydrates. 53:51 Natural foods have natural satiety mechanisms. 01:08:31 Type 2 diabetes is misunderstood by doctors. 01:10:08 Blood glucose is a symptom of type 2 diabetes. We treat the symptom, not the disease. 01:12:15 Type 2 diabetes is reversible, except for the very late stage. 01:16:42 The longer you've been overweight the more it effects weight loss. 01:18:08 There are conflicts of interest in medicine. Much evidence is produced by pharmaceutical companies. Universities take funding from industry and produce shoddy research. 01:30:21 Bias in nutrition science is rampant and has stymied the advancement of actual science. Special interest needs to be out of research.

How Many Eggs Can I Eat Per Day?

04:26
Keto Health Summit: https://ketohealthsummit.com Take Dr. Berg's Free Keto Mini-Course: http://pxlme.me/-i717vtY or go here: https://www.drberg.com/how-to-do-ketosis Download Keto Essentials http://bit.ly/2DH0d6o In this video, Dr. Berg talks about how many eggs can be consumed per day. Eggs have a lot of nutrition, tons of fat soluble vitamins (vitamin A, k2, E), Omega 3 Fatty Acids, high quality proteins, B vitamin, lutein and zeaxanthin. Lutein and zeaxanthin are very powerful phytonutrients or antioxidants to repair any potential damage that occurs in the artery walls or the eyes. He also talks about cholesterol on eggs and how our bodies makes a lot of cholesterol. Different Egg Labels: • Cage Free • Free Range • Natural • Veg. Feed – Fed using Soy beans and Corn (GMO) • Pasture-Raised and Organic Eggs – The eggs that we have to consume. It has a definition of “Out in the pasture in the grass”. Someone in my podcast ask the question, how many eggs can I eat per day. The first thing I am gonna talk about is when you actually buy eggs, you'll see them in many different labels packages, cage free eggs, free range, natural, or eggs fed vegetarian feed, this really means nothing. Because cage free means they are outside the cage but they are still in the barn, free range again the definition is very limited who knows what that means, natural there is no real legal definition of what natural means I mean what would be, there is an artificial eggs? then we have vegetarian feed which only tells you that you can only feed with soybeans, corn which are both GMO we don't want that. We want the pasture-raised eggs. Pasture-raised has the definition of "Out of the Pasture, in the grass." That's where we want them living and eating grass and bugs and things like that. And we definitely want organic on top of that. Organic and Pasture-raised, not Pasturized. Now the cool thing about eggs is they have a lot of nutrition, tons of fat soluble vitamins, vitamin A, vitamin k2, vitamin E, Omega 3 Fatty Acids, high quality proteins, it is like a complete perfect food, it has B vitamin, the only vitamin it doesn't have is vitamin C. And that is why we need to eat other things too like salad and things like that. It even has lutein and zeaxanthin which are very powerful phytonutrients or antioxidants specifically to repair any potential damage that occurs in the artery walls or the eyes. And so if we have a repair action right here, the cholesterol in the eggs are not gonna accumulate. So even though eggs have cholesterol, your body makes cholesterol a lot like 3,000mg. so when you eat more, your body makes less. And you are gonna actually have higher amounts of good cholesterol as well. Having more cholesterol is not gonna be damaging especially if you have the antioxidant to protect the wall of the artery because the problem is never been the cholesterol in the first place. The problem is the oxidative damage on the artery wall which then the cholesterol comes as the band aid to heal it. Cholesterol is never been the villain, cholesterol is needed to support brain and nerve function and all the cell walls. Cholesterol is needed to make bile and vitamin D, it is needed to make hormones. There are more problems with low cholesterol than there is in high cholesterol. Guy Tries 7 DAY WATER FAST DIET💧 No Food for A Week Results

22:06
Check our what happens AFTER THE WATER FAST here: https://youtu.be/VCX49y2j-Rw ⚠️WATER FASTING IS NOT FOR ANYONE WHO: ❌ is under 18 years old ❌ has an eating disorder ❌ is underweight ❌ is pregnant or breast-feeding ❌ has heart problems ❌ has type 1 diabetes ❌ has an autoimmune disease ❌ has uncontrolled migraines ❌ is undergoing a blood transfusion ❌ is taking specific medication; seek the advice of a doctor ⚠️DISCLAIMER: I am in no way a medical expert on fasting, nor am I instructing anyone to try a 7 day fast. This video was made for documentation purposes only. I've made my own choice to fast, knowing all of the health risks that may be involved. Please speak to your doctor before attempting any type of fast. ⚠️FASTING vs EATING DISORDER: There is a clear difference between Fasting and an Eating Disorder. Someone does NOT develop an eating disorder from dieting or fasting. An eating disorder is developed in the psyche of an individual, usually well before they decide to diet or fast. People who enter a fast or diet with a clear perception of body image and health goals, know there is a means to an end. With an Eating Disorder, there is no end. People with an Eating Disorder suffer from a psychological standpoint, in which they have an un-realistic perception of body image. Therefore, they may take dieting, fasting, or binging, to an extreme to “achieve” their desired weight goals. In the end, a person with in eating disorder may never be satisfied with their body, no matter how skinny or unhealthy they may be making themselves. If you or someone you know is suffering from an eating disorder, DO NOT ATTEMPT ANY FAST OR DIET. Please be advised by a medical professional. What Will Happen If You Start Eating Oats Every Day

10:07
Doctors and nutritionists highly recommend making oatmeal a part of your diet and having it as your healthy morning meal. The secret is simple: good-quality environmentally-friendly oats help you feel and look better on the inside and out. Oats have some unique properties thanks to the wide variety of vitamins and minerals they contain. Zinc helps cleanse the skin and remove toxins and other harmful compounds. Iron is one of the most important elements for the nutrition and saturation of moisture in skin cells. Magnesium promotes blood circulation and noticeable skin cell renewal. While protein is extremely important, your body also demands carbohydrates and fats, both of which you can find in oatmeal. Oats are also rich in antioxidants that help alleviate itching, inflammation, and high blood pressure. The slow carbohydrates found in oatmeal help curb your appetite and maintain normal blood sugar levels. All those nutrients in oats not only boost your metabolism but also prevent the accumulation of fat and toxins in the body. Thanks to the antioxidants present in oatmeal, the probability of damage to the walls of blood vessels by free radicals is reduced significantly. If you find it boring to just have oatmeal for breakfast every day, you’ll love the recipes we have put together to help you turn a boring oatmeal breakfast into something way more flavorful. Music: Mint Chocolate 2a - Vibe Mountain https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music TIMESTAMPS Your skin will look better. 0:51 Your muscles will get much-needed protein. 1:48 You’ll get a boost of antioxidants. 2:31 You'll be full of energy. 3:19 You'll lose weight. 4:19 Your cholesterol will decrease. 5:00 You'll have a lower risk of developing heart disease. 5:40 You'll get rid of digestive problems. 6:00 Oatmeal recipes: Apple pie oatmeal 6:50 Oatmeal raisin cookies 7:43 Almond butter-banana oatmeal 8:55 SUMMARY -Oatmeal is ideal for treating inflammatory conditions, like eczema, dermatitis, and skin rashes. It also promotes healthy skin overall. -One serving, or about half a cup, of oatmeal gives your body 15% of the recommended daily amount of protein. Don’t forget about vitamin E, antioxidants, and glutamine, which help muscle fibers regenerate faster. -Oats are rich in antioxidants that help alleviate itching, inflammation, and high blood pressure. -Oatmeal is full of carbohydrates that give your body the energy it needs. -Beta-glucan in oats keeps you from overeating by helping you feel fuller for a longer amount of time and promoting the release of a satiety hormone. -The linoleic acid and soluble fiber contained in oatmeal helps lower the level of bad cholesterol in the blood. -Oats are rich in good healthy fats and support the cells in the heart and circulatory system. -Experts recommend getting at least 25-38 grams of dietary fiber every day since it’s ideal for good digestion. -Try apple pie oatmeal to boost your metabolism. You’ll need oatmeal, almond milk, cinnamon, maple syrup, a large apple and apple sauce to cook it. -The ingredients you’ll need for oatmeal raisin cookies are flour, sea salt, baking soda, butter, an egg, brown sugar, cinnamon, raisins, apple sauce and fast-cooking oats. -To cook almond butter-banana oatmeal, you’ll need oatmeal, milk, almond butter, honey and a banana. How Long Foods Stay In Your Stomach

08:18
How long does the process of digestion last? Do you find yourself still hungry no matter how much you eat? If so, you might be eating foods that are too high on the glycemic index. It’s definitely something worth knowing if you’re struggling with excess weight. The glycemic index is a system of values given to foods according to how quickly they cause an increase in blood glucose levels. To put that in layman’s terms, it basically measures how fast different foods are digested by the body. Glucose is a simple sugar that gives your body energy, and you get it from the foods you eat. Your blood is what carries this sugar throughout your body to all your hungry cells and tissues. That’s why it’s called blood glucose. If you eat something that’s high on the index, your blood glucose will spike, giving you a fast boost of energy. TIMESTAMPS: What glycemic index is 0:58 Foods that digest slowly 3:30 Foods that digest moderately 4:08 Foods that digest quickly 4:34 Foods that don’t have a glycemic index value 5:27 What about pizza? 6:09 Are all low-glycemic foods healthy? 6:43 Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ SUMMARY: - The glycemic index is a system of values given to foods according to how quickly they cause an increase in blood glucose levels. To put that in layman’s terms, it basically measures how fast different foods are digested by the body. - If you eat something that’s high on the index, your blood glucose will spike, giving you a fast boost of energy. - Foods and drinks are actually split into three groups: low, medium, and high. Low items rate from 1 to 55, medium is from 56 to 69, and high items are from 70 and above. - According to the experts at Bodytomy, some low-glycemic foods, like cooked vegetables or a salad, can remain in your stomach anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. - There are also foods that really don’t really have a glycemic index value since they don’t contain any carbs. But they can still take a while to be digested by your stomach. It can take you anywhere from 2 to 5 hours for your stomach to digest meats, like chicken, lamb, and pork. - If you’re having pizza that’s just dough, cheese, and sauce, that might rate high on the glycemic index, mostly because of that dough. But believe it or not, adding toppings actually makes your slice healthier! - You might encounter foods that will be low on the index, but if they’re processed, they most likely still contain tons of saturated fats, sugar, and empty calories. Why is My Blood Sugar So High In The Morning

06:56
Get my prediabetes and diabetes type 2 management guide here to control your blood sugar better https://goo.gl/z7bR6y Morning blood sugar readings can sometimes be all over the place. Depending on what you had for dinner or what snacks you had during the evening. What time you took your medicine can play a factor as well. But if you have consistently high blood glucose readings every morning, it could be one of three reasons that we are going to discuss in this video. DAWN PHENOMENON Researchers feel the most common reason for high blood glucose levels in the morning is the dawn phenomenon. The glucose is going up from sources other than digested food. Some of it is produced by the liver from stored starch and fatty acids. Livers that produce too much glucose are one of the main ways diabetes causes high blood glucose levels. Other organs also produce small amounts of glucose. This is called “gluconeogenesis” for those of you who like the technical stuff. Organs produce glucose to keep blood glucose from going too low at night or other times of not eating. From about 2 AM to 8 AM, most people’s bodies produce hormones, including cortisol, glucagon, and epinephrine. All these hormones increase insulin resistance and tell the liver to make more glucose. The idea is to get you enough glucose to get out of bed and start the day. Everyone has a dawn phenomenon. Otherwise they’d be too weak to get breakfast. But in people without diabetes, insulin levels also increase to handle the extra glucose. People with diabetes can’t increase insulin levels that much, so their early morning blood glucose levels can rise dramatically. Experts disagree on how many people have a dawn phenomenon. Estimates range from 3% to 50% of Type 2s and from 25% to 50% of Type 1s. Is dawn phenomenon a serious problem? It can be serious. According to the American Diabetes Association, “Some people with dawn phenomenon find that their glucose continues to rise until they eat in the morning. For others, levels will settle down a few hours after waking, regardless of whether or not they eat.” According to columnist Wil Dubois, the higher your A1C, the more likely you are to have a significant dawn phenomenon. It could be that spending a number of hours each morning out of control is having a significant effect on your overall control. Some people have high glucose levels in the morning because their medicines wear off overnight. This could be true of medicines like insulin, and metformin. If you are taking any long-acting medicine, consider asking your doctor about changing meds, doses, or times THE SOMOGYI EFFECT In some cases, medicine can be too strong. If your glucose goes too low in the night, you could have a rebound high in the morning. This is called the Somogyi effect. If you are waking up high and are suffering pounding headaches, or find your sheets sweat-soaked, the odds are you are having lows in your sleep…You need to visit with your doctor about taking less meds. According to Dubois, the new insulins are much less likely to cause a Somogyi reaction. But because of cost, people are going back to NPH insulin. NPH is cheaper, shorter-acting, and more likely to cause a low, leading to a rebound high in the morning. WANING INSULIN If you take insulin and have been experiencing high blood sugar in the morning, your insulin may simply be wearing off too soon. If this is the case, your doctor can adjust your dosage or change what time you are taking the insulin to prevent high glucose levels. Pinpointing the Cause for Effective Treatment If your blood sugar is fairly even when you go to bed and at 3 a.m. but is higher in the morning, you are probably experiencing dawn phenomenon. If your blood sugar is low at 3 a.m., but high in the morning, you probably suffer from the Somogyi effect. If your blood sugar is elevated at 3 a.m. and then higher still in the morning, you probably have waning insulin. Even if you’ve identified the reason behind your high morning number, never attempt to correct it on your own. Instead, talk with your doctor. Together, you can find a treatment plan that gets you back on track in the morning. How can this situation be corrected? Once you and your doctor determine how your blood sugar levels are behaving at night, he or she can advise you about the changes you need to make to better control them. -Changing the time you take the long-acting insulin in the evening so that its peak action occurs when your blood sugars start rising -Changing the type of insulin you take in the evening -Taking extra insulin overnight -Eating a lighter breakfast -Increasing your morning dose of insulin -Switching to an insulin pump, which can be programmed to release additional insulin in the morning

Your Ears Can Indicate Your Health: Don't Ignore These 8 Factors

10:10
It is a normal hygienic procedure to clean our ears once every few days. However, not all of us know that ear wax can also indicate the state of our health. With the help of a Q-tip, you can check the color of your ear wax and understand what it means. TIMESTAMPS What do we know about the human ear? 0:35 Ear wax of a gray color 1:28 Ear wax with traces of blood 2:09 Ear wax of a brown color 3:02 Ear wax of a black color 3:40 Ear wax of a white color 4:25 Ear wax with an unpleasant smell 5:14 Liquid ear wax 6:03 Dry earwax 6:36 See a doctor if you have the following symptoms 7:06 What you shouldn't do to avoid any problems 8:14 Three most interesting facts about your ears 8:47 SUMMARY Ear wax is not a body waste to get rid of regularly, quite the contrary - it's a kind of protection. It keeps the ear canal lubricated, therefore, prevents the ears from itching. Moreover, it prevents different pollutants from entering the inner ear. Even more surprisingly, this substance has antibacterial properties. Our body is a clever mechanism. Did you know that when we chew, the movement pushes ear wax to the outer part of the ear? This way, your ears self-clean! If your ears tend to produce a big amount of ear wax creating a build-up, you can take some preventive measures yourself. - It's effective to use agents softening the wax. They can be mineral or baby oil, or ear drops. It is enough to put a few drops of these substances into your ear once a week to soften the ear wax and help it to come out faster and with ease. - Another way to take care of your ears is to buy a special at-home kit for their irrigation. Find out how to tell if you’re doctor is giving you the best treatment, or whether he’s on the big pharma payroll. The Breakthrough “Pancreas Jumpstart” Technique Will Lower Your Blood Sugar And Even REVERSE Your Type 2 Diabetes It fixes your insulin resistance so you can throw away your insulin injections and diabetes medication. Study after study has shown this natural technique works, regardless of how old you are, how long you’ve had the disease, or how high your blood sugar is. The “At-Home” Medical Discovery That Saved My Life I did it without relying on the pharmaceutical companies, or their “bandaid fix” medications. I couldn’t believe the results… Everyone who stuck to this program lowered their blood sugar and reversed their Type 2 Diabetes. In case you have questions, I’ve collected a couple of the most common ones here to answer: Does Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer really work? Yes! Like I said, virtually every single person who has completed the program has been able to reverse their diabetes. It jumpstarts your pancreas to start producing enough insulin again, and retrains your body to absorb and use that insulin. Obviously, you can’t just download the system and then never use it. Its works, if you work it. That’s why I’ve made it so simple to follow. How soon can I stop taking my medication? Remember, I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes, and then decide with your doctor when to go off your medication. Dr. Taylor’s study showed that within 8 weeks, every participant had brought their blood sugar down to normal levels, and reversed their disease. Around half reversed their disease at 4 weeks. The fastest recorded was 11 days. So depending on factors like your genetics, the severity of your disease, and how committed you are to the program, most people will destroy their Type 2 Diabetes in between 2 and 6 weeks. Is it scientifically proven? Absolutely. The Diabetes Destroyer System is based on research at Newcastle University in England, Harvard University here in the US, and dozens of other studies. There have been studies all over the world showing that these principles can reverse your type 2 diabetes. Is Honey Good for Diabetes

03:46
Is Honey Good for Diabetes Download Diabetes Management Book: http://bit.ly/2g0NDAH Hello, I'm Ty Mason from TheDiabetesCouncil.com, researcher, writer and I have type 2 diabetes. Today I'm going to answer the question, Is honey good for diabetes. But before we get into that, make sure you download my free diabetes management book which also includes a diabetes grocery shopping guide (foods to eat and avoid). I have a 2 year old grandson. He is a joy and one of my favorite activities with him is to introduce him to some of the characters of even my childhood. Winnie the Pooh is one of his favorites. Pooh and his constant quest for honey with his friends in the Hundred Acre Wood amazes us still. Honey is 80% sugar and 20% water. Honey, if stored in air tight containers will never spoil. In fact there were sealed honey vats found in the tomb of King Tut that contained edible honey, despite over 2,000 years beneath the desert sands. Honey is the only food we know of that includes every substance necessary to sustain life. Honey is filled with things like enzymes, vitamins, minerals, and water. It’s also the only known food that contains pinocembrin, an antioxidant associated with helping our brain functions. Sounds like a great food doesn’t it? Well, for the person with diabetes we really need to focus on that first fact, 80% sugars. Some people think that since honey has all the good stuff in it and it is sweet, we can substitute it for sugar and be fine. And they may be right. A recent study looked at eating the same amount of honey and the same amount of table sugar in people with Type 2 diabetes. Those that ate honey did have a bigger spike 30 minutes after the meal. But then their blood sugar leveled out and remained lower than the table sugar eaters over the next 2 hours. Another study, however, showed an increase in A1C over an 8 week honey replacement program. But, in a very recent study (2014) conducted at the Department of Pharmacology, School of Medical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia, researchers looked at various other studies and conducted their own in laboratory rats to determine the effects of honey combined with metformin as part of the treatment plan for type 2. The results were rather encouraging. They concluded “These research findings reinforce the therapeutic prospects of using honey....as an adjunct to standard anti-diabetic drugs in the management of diabetes mellitus.” This study says the antioxidants and other nutrients in honey are extremely beneficial and may also help in the treatment of heart and other diseases that affect those with diabetes. So, is honey good for diabetes? Surprisingly yes. Even the Malaysian researchers were surprised when they stated, “This is a bit startling as honey is sweet and rich in sugars…” Now, don’t go out and eat a jar of honey. But it appears you can substitute it for sugar or add it to your oatmeal and actually help control your diabetes. Again, portions are the key. I hope this answered your question is honey good or bad for diabetes. Don’t forget to get your diabetes management book. Let me know if you have any other diabetes related questions.

The gallbladder is a vital organ that stores and concentrates bile and when it's gone, fat digestion, fat soluble vitamin absorption (vitamin A, D, E, K) can be a problem. Diabetes Mellitus Cure, & Prevention | ( PART 02 )

24:53
It is a silent killer by the word silent i men it’s a symmetric or it does not cause symptoms so and as i said initially also that symptoms of Diabetes start happening when blood sugar levels chart crossing to 250 - 300 so. So it doesn't mean that 180 200 220 are normal and we have realised that so body is not going to be able to handle 180 220 sugars and slowly the organs start get affected by the high sugar level mildly elevated sugar level and that can cause kidney diseases, so we actually come across lot of Patients who are diagnosed with diabetes if already have some nerve damage they already have some eye damage & Kidney damage. And this is all Because of this silent phase where it went undetected and undiagnosed. Regarding diabetes considered as mother of all diseases i would rather say it is insulin resistance, because it’s fats that creates insulin resistance which causes everything. Even if you are not diabetic insulin resistance causes hypertension which also increases your cardiac diseases your stroke risk, heart Attacks everything. It’s insulin resistance the real culprit that’s creating multiple problems. I would say all food is good, provided you know how to eat them, how to cook them and what proportion to eat them. Fruits and vegetables are good have 2 or 3 servings of Fruits. Lots of vegetables they are very good for health. Roti, dal, sabji & Rice they form the base of indian foods. Rice is good for health, no problems, wheat is also good. Generally when we process this rice we loose a good amount of Nutrients, so it’s better to have rice which is not processed or less processed, In Fact Brown rice is much better. Wheat, Jawahar, Bajri, Ragi they are more wholesome grains, you can start introducing them in daily diets, they also have less Glycemic index, and they are better for sugar controls. Generally you can have everything in moderations. Avoid high starch rice like Basmati rice they have very high glycemic Index. Home remedies if you are making it at home with your own hands, we are fiber with that lot of things that we use in the kitchen simplest being fenugreek seeds or what we call it Methi, which is actually been proved in the scientific laboratory to have glucose lowering effects, but you need to have 25 grams of Methi everyday which is like really bitter, you can soak them overnight drink the water, and add the seeds in salads make it more nutritious. Cumin, Jeera they all have beneficial effects but Methi is the only one to have scientifically proven effects on sugar. If you are disciplined and managed sugars well people live for 30 to 40 years of diabetes on just a couple of tablets. If you are maintaining your A1C levels just on your lifestyle measures you are doing a great job. It is very difficult to say if your diabetes is gone away you have kept it very well controlled. Keep going doing it. The long term complications of Diabetes as we know sugar effect circulate throughout your body so they will affect each and every organ of your body typically we would divide them into two sets microvascular complications which means diabetes affecting the eyes, specifically the Retina which is the back of your eye where damage happens where there is bleeding and this can affects your vision permanently. Secondly diabetic nephropathy and third is diabetic neuropathy. The other part is microvascular disease which happens related to the circulation in bigger organs like your Brains so causing strokes, brain attacks and your Heart causing Heart Attacks. And circulation of blood into your legs which can cause Gangrene which can lead to amputations. These are the typical complications of type 1 or type 2 diabetes long standing uncontrolled. Artificial sweeteners are definitely much better and safer most of them are USA FDA Approved so we would definitely recommend using sweeteners. Usually side effects happen to people using heavy doses of sweetners. People who are addicted to branded diet version of beverages. Consuming them in large quantities on a regular basis can cause problems. Sucralose based ones a safe but needs to have in moderations. The most popular question asked by most patients Can diabetes patients eat “Banana, chikoo, Grapes, Mango and Custard Apple” Although they are high in Glycemic Index they also have their nutritive values like Bananas are very good in Calcium, Custard Apple is very good in Calcium, Mangoes are very good in Vitamin A, Grapes in Vitamin C, so there are loaded benefits with these fruits though their glycemic index is high, so The key is to have these fruits properly, So you can Have Mangoes, Bananas, Grapes and Chickos but as a Thumb rule don’t have them with the meals. Definitely no Aam Raas with the sugars. Have the whole fruit typically after 2 or 3 hours after the meal or around mid morning snack. Don’t have it daily because it keeps spikes your sugars. And after eating go for a walk and burn out your calories.

Okra Health Benefits | Does It Prevent Diabetes?

http://www.nutritionforest.com/blood-sugar-support.html http://www.nutritionforest.com Nutrition Forest Blood Sugar Support Made with an superb blend of herbs and nutrients, Blood Sugar Support is formulated to help the body maintain healthy blood sugar levels that are in the normal range. The key herbs include Cinnamon, Gymnema Sylvestre, Banaba, Bitter Melon, and Guggul. Also added are effective amounts of Chromium Picolinate, Vitamin C and Vitamin E. The recommended dose is one capsule three times daily with meals. While eating a sugary snack, fruit, and carbohydrates, it breaks down into glucose (blood sugar) that is important for energy in your cells. In order to get into that glucose into your cells, your body produces insulin that acts like the key unlocking the door. Excess glucose can lead to diabetes but excess insulin or insulin resistance is a problem too. Unfortunately, most people’s blood sugar is not properly balanced. If you’re getting too much glucose, it leads to high blood-sugar levels, which your body can’t break down and stores as fat. Ironically, not getting enough sugar can also lead to putting on extra pounds! Eating too little glucose can lead to a low blood sugar level, causing your body to go into “starvation mode” where it burns your lean muscle instead of the fat – a double whammy to your system and your diet. Maintaining healthy blood sugar levels in the normal range is not only critical for energy and mood, but also for cardiovascular, nervous system, and immune health . Since the typical diet is high in refined carbohydrates and sugars, it’s no wonder that such a high proportion of our population has blood sugar concerns. Hectic lifestyles, chronic stress , and genetic predispositions can also easily upset the delicate balance of physiological events that influence glucose and insulin levels. It is very important that blood sugar levels are kept as close to normal as possible. For most people with diabetes, a healthy range is between 90 and 130 mg/dl before meals and less than 180 mg/dl at one to two hours after a meal (see chart below). A doctor or health care provider can tell a person with diabetes about how and when to test blood sugar. It is helpful to keep a record of blood sugar readings several times during the day. diabetes type 2 diabetes diabetes symptoms symptoms of diabetes type 1 diabetes hypoglycemia glucose prediabetes diabetes mellitus low blood sugar blood sugar levels normal blood sugar low blood sugar symptoms hypoglycemia symptoms normal blood sugar level high blood sugar symptoms of low blood sugar glucose levels symptoms of high blood sugar blood glucose levels normal glucose levels high blood sugar symptoms glucose test glucometer how to lower blood sugar blood sugar chart juvenile diabetes symptoms of hypoglycemia fasting blood sugar blood sugar range what is normal blood sugar normal blood glucose levels diabetes test normal sugar level signs of low blood sugar normal blood sugar range blood sugar test what is hypoglycemia glucose meter high glucose levels blood sugar levels chart signs of high blood sugar causes of diabetes signs of hypoglycemia diabetes treatment normal fasting blood sugar continuous glucose monitoring blood glucose meters blood glucose sugar level lower blood sugar foods that lower blood sugar blood sugar monitor glucose level chart high glucose low blood sugar levels glucose monitor

The Role of Insulin in the Human Body

01:50
Developed and produced by http://www.MechanismsinMedicine.com Animation Description: This patient-friendly animation describes the main role of insulin in the human body. When food is ingested, it travels along the digestive tract where it is broken down into its component nutrients in order to be absorbed into the bloodstream. One such nutrient is glucose, a simple sugar. Glucose gets absorbed by the stomach and intestines and then enters the bloodstream. It travels through the circulation to all body cells. Once absorbed into the bloodstream, glucose circulates causing the blood sugar level to rise. An increased level of blood sugar sends a signal to the pancreatic beta cells, which respond by secreting the hormone insulin into the circulation. Insulin is necessary for glucose to reach and be used by several important target tissues throughout the body. These include the liver, muscle, and adipose tissue. Insulin is necessary to keep blood glucose levels stable in the body. Circulating insulin binds to specific insulin receptors located on the cell membrane of tissue cells throughout the body. Upon binding, a signal is sent to the nucleus of the cell, instructing it to transport glucose channels to the cell surface. These channels allow glucose to enter the cell. Glucose enters the cell through a process called facilitated diffusion.
