In this video, I’m going to talk about the benefits of vitamin D as well as symptoms of vitamin D deficiency. In certain studies, Americans have been found to be the #1 population in vitamin D deficiency.
Some of the main symptoms of vitamin D deficiency are a weakened immune system, candida or bacterial overgrowth, emotional ups and downs, hormone imbalance, trouble putting on muscle or losing weight, weakened bones or teeth, cancer, heart disease, or diabetes. Vitamin D supports having a healthy immune response, digestive health, hormone balance, and more.
The biggest causes of vitamin D deficiency are not getting enough sunlight, certain chemicals from plastic bottles (BPA), and toxicity. Try to get outside every day for about 20-30 minutes of natural sunlight.
Certain foods that are sources of vitamin D are wild caught fish, raw fermented milk, mushrooms, and eggs. However, there are small amounts in the food you eat.
For a good supplement, I would recommend a high-quality vitamin D supplement. You don’t want to take vitamin D2, but you do want to take vitamin D3. For supplementation, take about 2000-5000 IUs a day. However, if you have a severe deficiency, then for 1-2 months, you may take 5000 IUs twice daily. Lastly, you want to take your vitamin D3 with some form of fat like coconut oil or avocado to help absorption in your body.

Hey guys, we are going to talk about the 7 recommended supplements on a Ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting plan. The first one I am going to recommend is minerals. You want to potassium, magnesium, sodium and calcium those were electrolytes, and then trace minerals. Because minerals helps reduce insulin resistance and it puts you into fat burning a lot better. Plus, these minerals are alkaline which offset some of the uric acid buildup that comes from the ketogenic diet to lessen the chance to get a gout or the uric acid kidney stones. Number 2 vitamin B1, this is essential in the adaptation of sugar burning into fat burning, and it is also great to relieve stress. Vitamin B3 is really good for lowering cholesterol that is coming out of the fat cells or liver and it is also good to support the liver in general. Vitamin B5 is another key B vitamin that is essential in the adaptation to fat burning. If you are deficient in B5 and B1, you may notice more fatigue, keto flu and keto rash, any of those symptoms. Number 5, vitamin A which is also essential in dealing with insulin resistance and you would get vitamin A in cod liver oil, grass-fed cheese, grass-fed liver and egg yolks. No. 6 vitamin D and I recommend vitamin D3 version, this is really good for insulin resistance and improving that. It is also in cod liver oil, egg yolk. In fact if you consume cod liver oil, you get a 50/50 split of vitamin A and vitamin D so you could kill 2 birds at 1 stone. No. 7 choline which is essential of getting the fat off the liver. I recommend doing electrolyte powder for the minerals. I recommend nutritional yeast for B1, B3, B5 and it even has choline. I have a version that has non-fortified, it is in a tablet form with added B12. You have electrolyte powder, nutritional yeast, and cod liver oil and if you really have fatty liver you could have choline in addition to the choline that is in nutritional yeast to strip off the fat from the liver.

In our daily diets, it can be difficult to get every single vitamin and mineral necessary and that is why at times it is beneficial to take supplements. They can act as an added benefit and add to already good health.
Unfortunately, many individuals depend on supplements to work as replacements for good health. This is the wrong ideology in my opinion. Use supplements to improve already great health, do not use them as a crutch. Now which supplements to I recommend? Well here they are...
I take 3 supplements daily: Fish Oil, Vitamin D, and Magnesium L Threonate. Each have their benefits. These, in my opinion are 3 supplements you should take daily.
Fish Oil is beneficial because it has been shown to decrease inflammation in the body. It has also been shown to lower triglycerides and decrease the chance of heart disease. We get many omega-6 fatty acid from chicken, pork, and steak and not enough omega-3 fatty acid. A ratio of 2:1 or 1:1 omega-6 to omega-3 fatty acid is optimal for proper health and this is why fish oil can help.
Vitamin D is important for the regulation of calcium and phosphorus absorption, maintenance of healthy bones and teeth, and is suggested to supply a protective effect against multiple diseases and conditions such as cancer, type 1 diabetes and multiple sclerosis.
We get vitamin D from the sun but for all of us who work or may not have the chance to be outside during the winter taking vitamin d can help. It is estimated 70% of people are vitamin d deficient. Go to your doctor, get a blood test, and find out if you should be taking a vitamin d supplement.
Magnesium L Threonate Helps Increase Energy. It also has been shown to Calms Nerves & Anxiety. Last but not least it helps with digestion, relieves muscle aches and spasms and has been shown to
prevents migraine headaches.
Now I am not a doctor but I have done my research and talked with a reputable naturopathic doctor who fully supports these supplements and I am calling on you to take action and to consider taking these as well. It will improve your mind, body, and overall health.

I take DoTERRA Life Long Vitality vitamins (LLV) and DoTERRA’s probiotics daily.
The LLV supports the body and really fills in the gaps on vital nutrition that you might be missing in your diet. I am going to go over each vitamin that comes in the pack, talk about the benefits, and how to use them properly.
The microplex VM is a whole food vitamin supplement. This is a great vitamin because it comes from a whole food which allows the body to absorb the nutrients better. Most vitamins are not made this way and aren’t being absorbed. I did a little research and found that we can only absorb about 5% of synthetic supplements. Picking a vitamin that is whole food base is very important! So many of us are deficient in vitamins and minerals. The Alpha CRS is good at supporting the cells and is a great for detoxing the body, again this supplement is food-derived. The ingredients of this supplement can help reduce inflammation in the body, support a healthy metabolism, and improve liver function.
The EO mega has a great balance of omegas and fatty acids. It is full of antioxidants and can help balance hormones in men and women. This one can help with overall health and wellness.
These vitamins can improve overall wellness and support a healthy respiratory and digestive system. They are great for skin, hair, nails, and bone health. They are good for the heart, liver, and detoxifying the body. These vitamins are GMO free, gluten free, dairy free, and made with whole foods and essential oils!
It is suggested to take 2 capsules of each vitamin twice daily.
I also take DoTERRA’s PB Assist, which is a high quality probiotic, daily! I am a firm believer in taking a probiotic supplement daily because probiotics are full of the goof bacteria that your gut needs to be healthy. The gut is the brain of the immune system and if your gut isn’t properly functioning your overall health is comprised. The gut is made up of bacteria, 80% good and 20% bad. That balance can easily be thrown off because things like antibiotics, conventional products, and over the counter medications can kill that good bacteria. Taking a probiotic can restore that good bacteria in the gut.

Creatine is one of the few supplements out there that is actually well-backed by research in terms of its effectiveness. However, there’s a lot of confusion out there as to how to take creatine and how creatine works. In terms of “what does creatine do”, it simply allows a faster regeneration of ATP in our muscles. Since ATP is the main form of energy for our muscles, this enables us to perform an extra rep or two during our training. As for the best creatine to take and how to use creatine effectively, stick to creatine monohydrate and take your creatine with your post-workout meal. There seems to be a slight benefit to taking creatine post-workout, and it actually drastically improves its effectiveness by taking creatine with carbohydrates and protein. Now as for whether creatine causes hair loss or other side effects, research is inconclusive at the moment. Long-term creatine supplementation does not cause any adverse health effects but may increase DHT which is a hormone that accelerates male pattern baldness in those who are susceptible or have it in their family history. Thus, those who are susceptible may want to consider that. But more research is definitely needed – the findings aren’t as serious as many people make it out to be.
