How Does Our Skin Turn Sunlight Into Vitamin D?
We know vitamin D is good for us and that we get it from the sun, but how exactly does our skin make it? During exposure to sunlight, the solar UVB photons with energies 290-315 nm are absorbed by 7-dehydrocholesterol in the skin and converted to previtamin D(3). “ Does Milk Really Contain Vitamin D? http://healthyeating.sfgate.com/milk-really-contain-vitamin-d-5415.html “Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin, which means your body can store it in the liver and fat cells, that promotes the absorption of calcium, aids in neuromuscular function and supports the immune system. What Are Vitamin D Deficiency Symptoms?
For more info: https://draxe.com/vitamin-d-deficiency-symptoms/?utm_campaign=Youtube-Apr-2015&utm_medium=social&utm_source=youtube&utm_term=vitaminddeficiency In this video I’m going to talk about the benefits of vitamin D as well as symptoms of vitamin D deficiency. In certain studies, Americans has been found to be the #1 population in vitamin D deficiency. Some of the main symptoms of vitamin D deficiency are a weakened immune system, candida or bacterial overgrowth, emotional ups and downs, hormone imbalance, trouble putting on muscle or losing weight, weakened bones or teeth, cancer, heart disease, or diabetes. Vitamin D supports having a healthy immune response, digestive health, hormone balance, and more. The biggest causes of vitamin D deficiency are not getting enough sunlight, certain chemicals from plastic bottles (bpa), and toxicity. Try to get outside everyday for about 20-30 minutes of natural sunlight. Certain foods that are sources of vitamin D are wild caught fish, raw fermented milk, mushrooms, and eggs. However, there are small amounts in the food you eat. For a good supplement, I would recommend a high quality vitamin D supplement. You don’t want to take vitamin D2, but you do want to take vitamin D3. For supplementation, take about 2000-5000 IUs a day. However, if you have a severe deficiency, then for 1-2 months, you may take 5000 IUs twice daily. Lastly, you want to take your vitamin D3 with some form of fat like coconut oil or avocado to help absorption in your body. The Healing Power of Sunlight
Sunlight. It has great healing power. Our Raw Vegan Health Cookbook: http://www.markusworld.com/healthycookbook/powsun Facebook: http://www.markusworld.com/facebook/powsun Instagram: http://www.markusworld.com/instagram/powsun Markus Rothkranz website: http://www.markusworld.com/Markus/powsun Online Health Store: http://www.markusworld.com/products/powsun German website: http://www.markusworld.com/german/powsun Life cannot exist without sunlight. Sunlight is healthy for you. It gives you more energy, you get sick less, it helps build stronger bones and teeth, helps the immune system and the list goes on. It also gives you the best form of vitamin D. Vitamin D protects you from many diseases; and no, you don’t get cancer from sunlight. You get cancer because you’re not healthy. Eating poorly causes toxins in the body and as they come to the skin’s surface they can turn to melanoma. Then what about overexposure? OK, eat healthy. Eat greens as it will protect the body from the inside just as chlorophyll protects plants. God doesn’t make mistakes; we are designed to be in the sun. Researchers in Sweden followed 30,000 women over 20 years who avoided sunbathing during the summer are twice as likely to die as those who sunbath every day…. http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/joim.12251/abstract Abstract. Results. There were 2545 deaths amongst the 29 518 women who responded to the initial questionnaire. We found that all-cause mortality was inversely related to sun exposure habits. The mortality rate amongst avoiders of sun exposure was approximately twofold higher compared with the highest sun exposure group, resulting in excess mortality with a population attributable risk of 3%. Sunscreen causes skin cancer. http://www.jabfm.org/content/24/6/735.full Abstract. Many primary care providers advise patients to use sunscreen as a means to reduce their risk for skin cancer, especially cutaneous malignant melanoma (CMM). Despite the availability and promotion of sunscreen for decades, the incidence of CMM continues to increase in the U.S. at a rate of 3% per year. There currently is little evidence that sunscreens are protective against CMM. A number of studies suggest that the use of sunscreen does not significantly decrease the risk CMM, and may actually increase the risk of CMM and sunburns…. Vitamin D protects the body from Multiple sclerosis, diabetes, …and many other diseases http://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/19381980.2016.1248325 Abstract…….This review considers the studies that have shown a wide range health benefits from sun/UV exposure. These benefits include among others various types of cancer, cardiovascular disease, Alzheimer disease/dementia, myopia and macular degeneration, diabetes and multiple sclerosis. The message of sun avoidance must be changed to acceptance of non-burning sun exposure sufficient to achieve serum 25, OH, D, concentration of 30 ng/mL or higher in the sunny season and the general benefits of UV exposure beyond those of vitamin D. Diet and lifestyle cause cancer http://www.cancer.org/cancer/cancercauses/dietandphysicalactivity/diet-and-physical-activity Research has shown that poor diet and not being active are 2 key factors that can increase a person’s cancer risk. Besides quitting smoking, some of the most important things you can do to help reduce your cancer risk are: Get to and stay at a healthy weight throughout life. Be physically active on a regular basis. Make healthy food choices with a focus on plant-based foods. The evidence for this is strong. The World Cancer Research Fund estimates that about 20% of all cancers diagnosed in the US are related to body fatness, physical inactivity, excess alcohol consumption, and/or poor nutrition, and thus could also be prevented. Sunlight has many benefits…oxygenates skin, lowers blood pressure, wounds and bones heal faster, improves eyesight…, and much more. People that get lots of sun….gain many benefits.... http://www.who.int/uv/faq/uvhealtfac/en/index1.html The sun's rays provide warmth and light that enhance your general feeling of well-being and stimulate blood circulation. Some UV radiation is essential to the body as it stimulates the production of vitamin D. Vitamin D has an important function in increasing calcium and phosphorus absorption from food and plays a crucial role in skeletal development, immune function and blood cell formation. Five to 15 minutes of casual sun exposure of hands, face and arms two to three times a week during the summer months is sufficient to keep your vitamin D levels high. https://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2013-05/uoe-scb050713.php https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2290997/ http://www.wakingtimes.com/2015/01/20/sunlight-not-cause-skin-cancer/ http://jnci.oxfordjournals.org/content/91/15/1304.long http://www.medical-hypotheses.com/article/S0306-9877%2808%2900599-9/abstract

7 Signs of Low Vitamin D (How Many do You Know?)
So many people in the industrialized nations are deficient in Vitamin D, it is truly an epidemic. When you consider that it is not just a vitamin, but also a pro-hormone, you can begin to understand the importance of this deficiency. Vitamin D deficiency can lead to weakened bones, yes, but it can also lead to weakened immune systems as well. The risk of cancer, and many other illnesses, increases with a dropping vitamin D level. The best way to get Vitamin D is from the Sun and from your diet. If you live too far north for the Sun, and can't get enough in your diet, then you should supplement. Having a healthy Vitamin D level is very important to your good health and longevity. *Vitamin D & Weight Loss Video: https://youtu.be/M0GBrrt2YWI * ------- Join me and let's optimize your health! ------- A Good Vit D Supplement: https://amzn.to/2I1UFmz Vit D + Vit K2 Supplement: https://amzn.to/2rry7FC Get Dr Berry's Best-Selling Book: LIES MY DOCTOR TOLD ME 📕--▶ http://a.co/g53H5g7 FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/kendberry.md/ INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/kendberry.md/ TWITTER: https://twitter.com/KenDBerryMD Thanks so much to Mary C., Lisa G., Paul R., Doyle R., Robyn D., Jeff P., Joe W., and John C. for being generous Patrons, and helping make this video possible… ▶You can help too, by becoming a Patron: https://goo.gl/kJJYws 🆕 Patron-Only FaceBook Page: https://goo.gl/XLVjmc (you may have to type a code to prove you're human) 📳Speak with Dr. Berry face-to-face about medical questions you might have using eVisit: https://goo.gl/7ibtW5 Ken D Berry, MD, FAAFP, is a Board Certified Family Physician and Fellow in The American Academy of Family Physicians. 10 Serious Lack Of Vitamin D Warning Signs
Muscle weakness is usually caused by a Vitamin D deficiency. Muscles have Vitamin D receptors. They must have a constant supply of Vitamin D to function. If your body has a deficiency of Vitamin D, your muscles will have trouble functioning. Bone Pain Shunning the sun and being lactose intolerant can leave you with a deficiency of Vitamin D. This can lead to bone pain, which can be difficult to distinguish from muscle or joint pain, but generally manifests as a deep, full pain that can't be isolated to an exact area. Constant Respiratory Problems Studies show that Vitamin D may help defend against respiratory illness. This is especially true in children. If your child has severe asthma, you may want to increase their Vitamin D intake. Sweaty Head Years ago, doctors used to ask new mothers if their newborns' heads were sweating more than normal. This is apparently a very early sign that a baby is Vitamin D deficient. If you're breastfeeding, you'll need to increase your sun exposure or consume more foods rich in Vitamin D. Depression According to the Vitamin D Council, this essential nutrient helps your brain's neurotransmitters produce the fluid serotonin. This produces our feelings of happiness. Studies have linked low levels of Vitamin D with episodes of depression. This happens especially during the winter months, because of the lack of sun during that time of year. Chronic Infections The Mayo Clinic has advised that Vitamin D is crucial to our body's health. It is a necessary vitamin in helping our body fight infections. If you notice you or your child is prone to getting infections, you might want to ask your doctor to give you a Vitamin D blood test. Cardiovascular Disease Articles published by the National Institutes of Health have shown that deficiencies in Vitamin D can lead to congestive heart failure. Make sure your body maintains the proper amounts to guard against the risk. Home tests are available to check if you have a lack of Vitamin D. Psoriasis Although psoriasis is not always caused by a lack of Vitamin D, it's used in treatment. The Mayo Clinic claims that if you have a lack of Vitamin D it will be harder for your body to defend itself against psoriasis. Chronic Pain Studies have shown that low Vitamin D levels impact a person's chances of having chronic pain. People with darker skin are more prone to these effects, because they need more sun exposure to actually absorb any Vitamin D. Tiredness Vitamin D is one of the necessary vitamins for your body to create energy. Without it you can end up feeling tired most of the day. This will make it hard for you to get around or even get to work. You should consult your doctor if you have constant feelings of tiredness. Hypertension Harvard University conducted a study on women. The study showed that women with low levels of Vitamin D have a 67 percent increased risk of hypertension. If you suffer from anxiety, you may want to consider purchasing Vitamin D supplements and adding them to your daily routine. Crankiness Vitamin D also affects the levels of serotonin in your brain, which is what impacts your mood. If you're feeling cranky, it might be because you're not producing enough serotonin!

Vitamin D kills the flu virus so STOP BLOCKING OUR SUNLIGHT !
Did you know JP-8 jet fuel exposure suppresses the immune response to viral infections?- http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19022873?ordinalpos=1&itool=EntrezSystem2.PEntrez.Pubmed.Pubmed_ResultsPanel.Pubmed_DiscoveryPanel.Pubmed_Discovery_RA&linkpos=2&log$=relatedarticles&logdbfrom=pubmed So why are they spraying chemtrails or chemical contrails which block out natural sunlight? WHY are they doing this? If the World Health Organisation were so concerned about the swine flu pandemic they would be aware that natural sunlight is a very good source for the body to make vitamin D and would be concerned about the artificial cloud covering which is being created by aircraft now worldwide. My first videos in April 2009 started with the heavy chemtrail spraying in my area showing blue skies turn a hazy white blocking out the sun for the rest of the day. I know from users who contact me that there is a 24/7 campaign of chemical spraying in the atmosphere in the USA. From my research I found that chemicals could be added to aviation fuel. Please see my video: CHEMTRAILS CHEMICALS ADDED TO AVIATION FUEL GOVERNMENT DOCUMENT NOW ONLINE- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gIPgdZcQUws For the DEFRA documents. DEFRA says chemicals added to aviation fuel can be a cost effective way to spray a so-called protective screen as to block out the suns rays and reduce global warming. ( This however would have an opposite effect. Please look up Global Dimming and the Hydrological Cycle on Google. ) BUT, is this really about protecting the earth or is it about stopping you receiving natural sunlight and making vitamin D? Vitamin D is important for helping the immune system fight the flu virus. One reason why the flu may be more contagious in the winter time is because of the lack of sunlight. The lack of sunlight prevents our skin from producing sufficient levels of vitamin D. There is now documented evidence about the roles of solar ultraviolet-B radiation and vitamin D in reducing case-fatality rates from the 1918-1918 influenza Pandemic in EU. I quote: There are two mechanisms whereby vitamin D can reduce the risk of death once the pandemic influenza virus infection took hold: reduced production of pro-inflammatory cytokines and reduced risk of bacterial pneumonia. The type of vitamin D which can fight viruses can ONLY be made from natural sunlight. It is known as D3, which is made from sunlight when 7-dehydrocholesterol in our skin reacts with UV light. I quote: It is then twice activated in the liver and kidney to make 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D. This attaches to receptors on genes that control their expression, which turn protein production on or off. Vitamin D regulates the expression of more than 1,000 genes throughout the body. They include genes in macrophages, cells in the immune system that, among other things, ATTACK AND DESTROY VIRUSES. A report in The Washington Post on August 3rd 2009 says: Millions of Children In U.S. are Found to Be Lacking Vitamin D- http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/08/02/AR2009080202114.html There are articles documenting that exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation in sunlight before immunization suppresses systemic as well as local immune responses- http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19450899?ordinalpos=6&itool=EntrezSystem2.PEntrez.Pubmed.Pubmed_ResultsPanel.Pubmed_DefaultReportPanel.Pubmed_RVDocSum Which mean the vaccination doesnt work so well as a unsuppressed immune response is needed to build up anti-bodies and immunity to that particular vaccine. So another reason to block out the natural sunlight. If our governments were so concerned about the swine flu surely they would put a stop to these climate change experiments which blocks out everyones natural sunlight. The fact that they or the media will not even report on the chemtrails happening above us only leads me to be more suspicious of what the chemical spraying is really about. Epidemic Influenza And Vitamin D- http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/51913.php Repeated Aerosol-vapor JP-8 Jet Fuel Exposure Affects Neurobehavior and Neurotransmitter Levels in a Rat Model- http://www.scribd.com/doc/17102227/Baldwin-Figueredo-Wright-Wong-Witten-2007 This video is a re-upload from tarot1984s channel- http://www.youtube.com/user/tarot1984

Sun & Vitamin D
The sun is very important. Vitamin D like Vitamin C or Vitamin A is very important. When we are deficient in the sun, when we become deficient in the exposure, we became deficient in Vitamin D. Vitamin D is created to interact with the skin and the sun. Today doctors, specific the dermatologists, have turned the sun for many people into the enemy, when it is one of our best friends. The use of sunscreen, there are people who will not walk out of the door and spend one minute in the sun without putting a sunscreen. Some people go to the point where they do not walk around their own house without putting a sunscreen on. What the field of dermatology has done is cut off people from their Vitamin D. And this is showing up in many diseases including cancer. My recommendation, and this is not easy because it depends on the weather, one’s latitude, but getting exposure whether be through direct sun light until one is a little bit pink, for cancer patients it is very important, it is much better to take nutrients from the sun than it is to take Vitamin D supplements, though if one is in a high latitude where the weather is very cold and one cannot get to the sun and one cannot afford sun lamps, or going to these centers where they have tanning beds. Radiation, natural radiation, of the invisible spectrum, and into the infra-red, are healthy, are necessary. So, don´t pay attention to dermatologists, avoid the sunscreens to the maximum possible. Of course if one goes out into the noon sun, into the sun is high over head, and needs to spend some time, sure, sunscreen can protect us from being burnt, but there is nothing healthy about them, and there´s nothing really protective . We need the sun, we need sun exposure. We need Vitamin D. So for patients who are diseases, either increase their sun exposure, daily exposure, to the point of getting a little bit pink is incredibly healthy. If you if you can’t do that then take a good Vitamin D3.

Best ways to increase Vitamin D levels? - Ms. Sushma Jaiswal
The best way to obtain Vitamin D from nature is to expose your body to sunlight. In India, the pollution levels are also too high. According to WHO reports, Indian cities are among the very polluted cities in the world. So in order not to expose our lungs to the polluted air, we have to take sunbath very early in the morning when the pollution settles down. So in the mooning it is relatively fresh air. So it is the best time to take sunbath or expose your body to the sun. St out in the balcony or take a walk in the open area with little bit of sunlight and little bit of shadow. This is one method, which I the easiest and least expensive. Sunlight can directly be absorbed in your body and can directly manufacture Vitamin D in the body. Another thing is take Vitamin D rich foods like milk and milk products, eggs, some fishes, liver. Fishes like salmon, mackerel, sardines etc which are rich in Vitamin D. fortification of food another process. It is more common in western countries and in India the technology has not yet come. So if we want to take Vitamin D supplements, it is another way. These supplements come in various ways like synthetic supplements which has a lot of chemical composition again is very harmful to your only because in order to prevent Vitamin D deficiency , you are taking some chemicals. Everyday our chemical consumption is around 3000 chemicals per day and then we are increasing the consumption again in some other way, there are some natural supplements, organic supplements and there are some supplements which are emulsion of 2 or 3 types of supplements. So you choose wisely which type of supplement is useful for you and take the call. So stay healthy.

How to Blast Belly Fat with Vitamin D- Thomas DeLauer
How Vitamins D & K Blast Belly Fat is an in-depth explanation of the many benefits of vitamins D and K and how they work together to battle belly fat. Find out what the best food sources for these and how they actually help to clot the blood and assist the body in absorbing calcium. Learn all about the supplements that are most important with my coaching Blogs and Videos at http://www.ThomasDeLauer.com How Vitamin D3 Works 1. Vitamin D was discovered in 1920 where its importance in our bodies was realized in discovering a way to cure rickets, a painful bone disease in children (2) 2. Vitamin D fortified foods began within a decade, making rickets rare in the US (2) 3. Vitamins are defined as an essential nutrient that your body cannot produce on its own and must acquire from the diet - Vitamin D is not actually a vitamin, but a hormone, which is a chemical that regulates body physiology. (1) a. Your skin makes vitamin D when exposed to sunlights, so it does not need to acquire it from food if adequate sunlight is available (2) i. The only natural foods that contain vitamin D are fish and egg yolks (2) What Does Vitamin D Do? 1. We are discovering more and more ways that the body utilized vitamin D as time goes on a. Vitamin D receptors, proteins that bind to vitamin D, exists in many of the body’s tissues, including the heart, muscles, endocrine glands, prostate and many others. (2) 2. Bone health - vitamin D is essential for our bodies to be able to absorb calcium. Without enough vitamin D, the body absorbs only 10-15% of dietary calcium, versus 30-40% when our vitamin D levels are normal. How to Get Enough Vitamin D Now that we understand how important vitamin D is in our bodies, and how likely it is that we do not have enough, how do we get more? 1. Sunlight - It can be a good idea to first spend a bit of time in the sun before applying sunscreen a. spend 10-15 minutes three times per week without sunscreen on. This may be enough to prevent deficiencies (5) 2. Fatty fish, such as salmon, tuna and mackerel, and egg yolks (5) 3. Fortified foods: Many foods have been fortified with vitamin D, so look for this at your grocery store. Such foods include some milks, yogurts, orange juices and cereals (2) 4. Mushroom trick: mushrooms are a great source of natural vitamin D a. Exposing mushrooms to sunlight prior to eating them will ramp up their vitamin D levels! So sit them on your window sill or backyard prior to adding them to your food (6) 5. UV Lamps a. They are similar to tanning beds, but not identical. They carry the same skin-cancer risk as the sun or tanning beds, so be careful not to overdo it. These are a great option for those who live where there is little access to direct sunlight (8) 6. Supplementation: Last is supplementation. It is best to obtain some sunlight and concentrate on adding additional vitamin D in your diet. That being said, if you believe you are lacking vitamin D you can always buy supplements. Total recommended intake can vary from about 200 IU to 400 IU per day, including what you get from diet and sunlight. (5) 1. 5 Of The BEST Vitamins for Healthy Looking Skin!
An excellent skin care routine is going to keep your skin rejuvenated, protected, and well-nourished. Unfortunately, not everyone uses protective measures or eats according to what their skin needs and this is what causes dry skin, skin damage, and easily scarred skin. For those looking to change up their routine and start paying more attention to your skin, there are a number of vitamins you should be consuming to ensure your skin is at optimal health. • Vitamin K: this is an extremely important vitamin as it allows your blood to coagulate, heal bruises, and it tackles dark areas of skin. If you are prone to getting spider veins, stretch marks, or dark circles under your eyes, try consuming more vitamin K to watch these disappear. Choose to eat items like kale and cabbage. • Vitamin D: because it is recommended that you protect your skin from the sun, a lot of people actually don’t get enough sunshine into their systems. Our bodies can synthesize vitamin D from sunshine which is important for fighting off infections. It is highly recommended that you take a vitamin D supplement if you do not spend a lot of time outdoors. • Vitamin E: this is an oil-soluble vitamin that is considered an antioxidant. It helps protect your skin from free radical damage and can reduce acne breakouts. Consuming this type of vitamin is rather easy since it is found in many seeds, nuts, fruits, and vegetables. • Vitamin C: this vitamin is easily obtainable from numerous kinds of citrus fruits as well as plenty of vegetables like Brussel sprouts, bell peppers, and broccoli. Vitamin C is an antioxidant which can help protect your skin from free radical damage and it helps to boost collagen production. The neat thing about vitamin C is that is can actually reverse photo-aging signs. • Vitamin B3: this can be found in both plant and animal foods and is considered essential for healthy skin. It is known as niacin and is used to reduce the appearance of aging skin. It is used in a lot of different skincare products as well as supplements since it is good for brain and nervous system health. It is sometimes even used as an exfoliate in exfoliating creams. Other than the above vitamins, you should also be looking to consume vitamin B5, folic acid, and choline. Choline plays a critical role in skin cell membrane production, folic acid boosts collagen synthesis, and B5 helps in preventing water loss from your skin cells. The key to healthy skin is paying attention to what your nutrient intake is and whether you have any vitamin deficiencies. Overall, if you are staying protected against the sun and are consuming a vitamin rich diet, your skin will be healthy. ▶ Subscribe to the channel! - https://goo.gl/nJ8d6r Royalty free Pictures from www.pixabay.com www.pexels.com Royalty Free Music from Audio Library – No Copyright Music

The Sun Exposure Cancer Myth
Keto Health Summit: https://www.ketohealthsummit.com/tickets DATA: https://thetruthaboutcancer.com/sun-exposure-cancer/ https://academic.oup.com/jnci/article/97/3/161/2544132 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5129901/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23237739 https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2018/03/07/dose-sunshine-exposure-could-cut-risk-cancer-one-fifth/ In this video, Dr. Berg talks about the relationship between UV light, sun and Cancer. Dr. Dan Coit, a surgical oncologist that research melanomas or cancers of the skin and he found out that they are not related to sun exposure. Melanocytes are cells in the skin that release melanin that protects our skin against UV light. You get vitamin D from the sun and vitamin D is very protective against a lot of different types of cancer. He also talks about how some chemicals from the sunscreen can actually trigger cancer. Hey guys so i want to talk about the relationship between the uv light, sun and cancer. So there's definitely the thought out there that you need to stay out of the sun because it it's going to cause cancer and i just want to talk about the different aspects because that is not hundred percent true. There's a really good doctor that you should look into if you wanted to know more information about this. He is a surgical oncologist and his name is Dr. Dan Coit. He research melanomas which are the cancer of the skin. And he basically found out they are not related to the sun exposure. Which is quite interesting. Melanocytes are cells in the skin that release melanin which is a pigment that protects our skin against that UV light. That is what supposed to happen. Now you when you get sun you get vitamin D and Vitamin d is very protective against cancer not just in the skin but in a lot of different types of cancer. So why would the sun give you cancer if the sun gives you vitamin D that’s suppose to protect you against cancer. Here's what i think that is happening I think of a couple things number one If you're consuming a lot of sugar that you are setting your body up for a lot of oxidative damage. And you get a repetitive sunburns which causes inflammation and which we know cancer tends to go in the areas of the inflammation. So that's bad and you don't want to do that but the other thing is sunscreen actually have chemicals that are carcinogenic. Some of the chemicals of some of the sunscreen Actually can trigger cancer. So here you are putting stuff in your skin its absorbing into the bloodstream number one and number two it is blocking the vitamin D absorption so now you don't have the benefit of vitamin D but we get the chemicals because we are thinking that “Oh yea it is the sun that is causing the cancer” So we need the kind of align this information into something that makes sense. First of all you don't want to over do it with the sun. You don't want to also do tanning beds because you are getting a different type of UV. It is true that the sun does give some radiation that does cause damage in the cells but normally we are supposed to have antioxidants in our cells that protects us. Normally we supposed to have enough vitamin D to protect us and enough melanin in the skin to protect us. So i think if you are consuming very healthy foods a lot of antioxidant and you're not overdoing it with too much sun so you don't get burned, I believe that the sun is going to be healthy for the skin. It’s a fat-soluble vitamin in a family of compounds that includes vitamins D-1, D-2, and D-3. Your body produces vitamin D naturally when it’s directly exposed to sunlight. You can also get it through certain foods and supplements to ensure adequate levels of the vitamin in your blood. Vitamin D has several important functions. Perhaps the most vital are regulating the absorption of calcium and phosphorus, and facilitating normal immune system function. Getting a sufficient amount of vitamin D is important for normal growth and development of bones and teeth, as well as improved resistance against certain diseases. If your body doesn’t get enough vitamin D, you’re at risk of developing bone abnormalities such as soft bones (osteomalacia) or fragile bones (osteoporosis). Here are three more surprising benefits of vitamin D. 1. Vitamin D fights disease In addition to its primary benefits, research suggests that vitamin D may also play a role in: reducing your risk of multiple sclerosis, according to a 2006 study published in the Journal of the American Medical Associationdecreasing your chance of developing heart disease, according to findings published in Circulationhelping to reduce your likelihood of developing the flu, according to 2010 research published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition 2. Vitamin D reduces depression Research has shown that vitamin D might play an important role in regulating mood and warding off depression. In one study, scientists found that people with depression who received vitamin D supplements noticed an improvement in their symptoms. In another study of people with fibromyalgia, researchers found vitamin D deficiency was more common in those who were also experiencing anxiety and depression. 3. Vitamin D boosts weight loss Consider adding vitamin D supplements to your diet if you’re trying to lose weight or prevent heart disease. You can find a great selection of vitamin D supplements In one study, people taking a daily calcium and vitamin D supplement were able to lose more weight than subjects taking a placebo supplement. The scientists said the extra calcium and vitamin D had an appetite-suppressing effect. In another study, overweight people who took a daily vitamin D supplement improved their heart disease risk markers. Beware of D-ficiency Many factors can affect your ability to get sufficient amounts of vitamin D through the sun alone. These factors include: Being in an area with high pollutionUsing sunscreenSpending more time indoorsLiving in big cities where buildings block sunlightHaving darker skin. (The higher the levels of melanin, the less vitamin D the skin can absorb.) These factors contribute to vitamin D deficiency in an increasing number of people. That’s why it’s important to get some of your vitamin D from sources besides sunlight. The symptoms of a vitamin D deficiency in adults include: tiredness, aches and pains, and a general sense of not feeling wellsevere bone or muscle pain or weakness that may cause difficulty climbing stairs or getting up from the floor or a low chair, or cause you to walk with a waddling gaitstress fractures, especially in your legs, pelvis, and hips Doctors can diagnose a vitamin D deficiency by performing a simple blood test. If you have a deficiency, your doctor may order X-rays to check the strength of your bones. If you’re diagnosed with a vitamin D deficiency, your doctor will likely recommend you take daily vitamin D supplements. If you have a severe deficiency, they may instead recommend high-dose vitamin D tablets or liquids. You should also make sure to get vitamin D through sunlight and the foods you eat. Food sources of vitamin D Few foods contain vitamin D naturally. Because of this, some foods are fortified. This means that vitamin D has been added. Foods that contain vitamin D include: salmonsardinesegg yolkshrimpmilk (fortified)cereal (fortified)yogurt (fortified)orange juice (fortified) It can be hard to get enough vitamin D each day through sun exposure and food alone, so taking vitamin D supplements can help. How much do you need? There has been some controversy over the amount of vitamin D needed for healthy functioning. Recent research indicates that you need more vitamin D than was once thought. Normal blood serum levels range from 50 to 100 micrograms per deciliter. Depending on your blood level, you may need more vitamin D. Dr. Venkata seshaiah Watch And Subscribe To The Channel. Benefits Of Sunlight - What Vitamin Do You Get From The Sun
Benefits of Sunlight – What Vitamin Do You Get from the Sun? Get our Free Book - Natural Health Remedies http://healthswat.com/FreeRemedyBook Benefits of Sunlight – What Vitamin Do You Get from the Sun? Without the sun, life on earth is impossible. No living being can thrive without the sun. There are numerous benefits of sunlight, some of which are detailed in this article. What Vitamin Do You Get from the Sun? So, what vitamin do you get from the sun and why is life so dependent on it? An essential vitamin we get from the sun is vitamin D. Vitamin D plays numerous roles in the body. It is found to be inside the entire body and is also present in white blood cells. Thus, a deficiency of vitamin D can make you prone to flu and sickness. It is also a crucial element for strong bone and muscle formation. It helps the body absorb calcium, and low levels of vitamin D can cause diseases such as rickets which makes the bones soft and brittle. Furthermore, this vitamin helps regulate blood pressure and kidney functions. Benefits of Sunlight It is difficult to sum up all of the benefits of sunlight as there are so many and many more are yet to be discovered. According to a research done at University of Edinburgh, as soon as you are exposed to sunlight, a compound known as nitric oxide is released in the bloodstream that helps decrease blood pressure, which automatically lowers the risk of a stroke and heart attack. Sunshine also helps treat skin problems such as acne and eczema and skin redness. Research has found that a specific ultraviolet ray from the sun can be effective for killing germs and bacteria by causing mutations in the DNA of the bacteria, which gradually stops them from further reproducing. Another advantage is particularly valid for babies. According to studies, the height and growth of a child are affected by exposure to the sun as sun is a vital element in bone and muscle formation. Sunlight also helps you stay awake. When you are exposed to the sun, the secretion of a hormone known as melatonin (sleep hormone) decreases in the body, which helps you stay awake and alert through the day. Furthermore, sunlight is known to prevent Alzheimer’s disease to some extent. Moreover, serotonin is a hormone, also known as the happy chemical, which is released in the brain when you are exposed to sunlight. Serotonin is responsible for boosting the state of the mind and helping you feel calm and centered. Low levels of serotonin in the body due to less exposure to sunlight are known to cause depression and poor memory. Although there are many benefits of sunlight, you should still be careful about exposing yourself to the sun for long durations as that too can be harmful. Always wear sunscreen before stepping out into the sun. No, The Sun Doesn’t Cause Skin Cancer! - How To Prevent Cancer With Sunshine
In this video, you'll learn why vitamin D from the sun is vital for your health and how it can prevent more cancer. Download this free e-book and learn how to boost your vitamin D levels to prevent cancer. https://goo.gl/DLWeFe Summary of video: Vitamin d benefits Vitamin D levels from sun exposure lower the risk of several diseases, such as cancer. Sun exposure helps build and maintain bone density and reduces fractures. Humans also need sunlight to control their biological clocks. Sunlight also makes you feel better. Sunlight consists of a mixture of electromagnetic radiation energy of various wavelengths. Ultraviolet, or UV, radiation, consists of UVA, UVB, and UVC. UVC never reach earth or human skin. UVA is able to penetrate deeper into the layers of your skin than UVB rays. UVB is the only form of UV radiation that stimulates the production of vitamin D. UVB rays hit the skin’s surface and creates Vitamin D3. Vitamin D3 is still inactive until both the liver and kidneys build 25-vitamin D.   When the sun is at its highest point in the sky, the UV levels are more intense. In the morning or afternoon, the sun’s radiation is weaker and make it harder to generate vitamin D. The sun’s radiation is most intense at the equator. Vit d deficiency There are several reasons we can become vitamin d deficient these include: Age Staying indoors Wearing too much clothes Too much clouds Polluttion Place with long winters Skin color The way to know your vitamin D level is to ask for a 25-hydroxy vitamin D test also called a 25(OH) D test. This test measures the circulating form of vitamin D that the liver generates before the kidneys activate it. The unit of measurement used for vitamin D is nanograms per milliliter. Aim to have a 25-vitamin D level of at least 30 nanograms per milliliter or even better 40-50. Sun exposure for vitamin d Our most abundant source of vitamin D is the sun. Most of us need only a few minutes a day of sun exposure during the summer months to have healthy vitamin D levels. The goal is not to get tanned. You should only get enough sun exposure to maintain healthy 25-vitamin D levels. If you live in a place where you can't get enough sunshine, then there are other ways to get vitamin D.It’s almost impossible to obtain an adequate amount of vitamin D from your diet. Therefore the only other sensible way to get vitamin D other than the sun is through supplements. There are two types of vitamin D used in fortified foods and supplements, Vitamin D3 and D2. Vitamin D2 is as effective as D3 at raising vitamin D levels. Skin cancer sun The pharmaceutical industry started our fear of the sun. Aggressive “educational” campaigns funded by the cosmeceutical industry created an anti-sunshine hysteria. They convinced everyone that no amount of unprotected sun was safe. The campaigns made people fearful of the sun, and their sales soared. Sunscreens There is little evidence that sunscreen prevents most types of skin cancer.Until recently, most sunscreens blocked only UVB radiation and not UVA rays. The sunscreens enabled people to stay unprotected against UVA rays for unlimited periods of time.  That raised the risk of melanoma in the United States and other Western cultures. When you wear sunscreens, you can't generate any vitamin D. Instead of using sunscreen wear more clothes to protect your skin. Or stay in the shade. The most common sunscreens on the market contain chemical filters. Oxybenzone in sunscreens can cause allergic skin reactions. You have a decreased risk of developing colon, prostate, and breast cancer if you maintain adequate vitamin D levels. There is no credible scientific evidence that moderate sun exposure causes melanomas. Regular, moderate amount of unprotected sun exposure is necessary for good health. People who get regular, moderate sun exposure are less likely to get melanoma than those who don’t get enough sunshine. If you avoid getting sunburned, the benefits of sun exposure will far outweigh the cons. Vitamin D - Synthesis and Roles in the Body
This is a brief overview of how Vitamin D is synthesised in the body, how it acts on the vitamin D receptor and what effects it has on the body. Vitamin D can be made in the skin when it's exposed to sunlight. First cholesterol is turned into 7 dehydrocholesterol by an enzyme called dhcr7. UVB radiation from the sun, then turns this into previtamin D, which spontaneously transforms into vitamin D at body temperature. This actually means that because Vitamin D can be made by the body, it's technically not a vitamin, since a vitamin by definition is something that can't be made by the body. There are 5 forms of vitamin D found in nature, but the body only makes one, Vitamin D3, also called cholecalciferol. Even when vitamin D has been synthesised from cholesterol, it is still not active, and there are two more steps needed until it becomes active. The first step is the conversion to calcidiol, which happens in the liver. Calcidiol is then converted to calcitriol which is the active form of vitamin D. This step happens primarily in the kidney and is controlled by parathyroid hormone, calcium and phosophate concentrations in the blood, and the concentration of calcitriol in the blood. Now that our vitamin D is finally active it circulates in the blood and acts like a hormone. When it reaches the cell, it binds to the vitamin D receptor also called the calcitriol receptor. This whole thing then forms a big complex with the retinoid X receptor, or RXR receptor. Finally the RXR receptor needs to be bound by Vitamin A, making a big structure composed of calcitriol, the vitamin D receptor, the RXR receptor and vitamin A. This complex won't be active until Vitamin A is present, which effectively means that Vitamin D is useless unless Vitamin A is also available in the cell. When activated, this complex binds specific areas of DNA and increases transcription of some dna and decreases transcription of other dna. functions of vitamin D Probably the most famous role of vitamin D is to increase the level of calcium in the blood. it does this by Promoting absorption of calcium from the gastrointestinal tract, meaning that we get more calcium from the food that we eat Reducing the amount of calcium that is lost in the urine, by Increasing reabsorption in the kidneys stimulating calcium release from bone by activating osteoclast cells Vitamin D also has effects on the parathyroid gland. It acts to stop parathyroid cells from proliferating too much. when the parathyroid gland becomes vitamin D deficient, it starts to grow to a bigger size than it is meant to and secretes too much parathyroid hormone, resulting in hyperparathyroidism. Vitamin D stops parathyroid cells from proliferating too much Vitamin D also has a role in the immune system with vitamin D deficiency and excess both having negative effects. Macrophages, dendritic cells, B cells and T cells can respond to and synthesise calcitriol. Earlier I said that the conversion of calcidiol to calcitriol happens primarily in the kidney but another place that this can happen is in immune cells. Vitamin D can also lead to the production of antibacterial peptides such as cathelicidin and beta defensin 4. These work by disrupting the cell membranes of bacteria, causing them to die. Summary So, in summary, the skin produces vitamin D from cholesterol when exposed to UVB sunlight. Vitamin D is converted to Calcitriol and is then active The most well known role of calcitriol is in calcium metabolism, but it has many other effects, such as in the immune system and on the parathyroid gland Future videos are going to look the roles of vitamin D in more detail, the amount of vitamin D that humans need and how the recommended daily allowance has been determined, the studies that have been done on vitamin D supplementation, what happens in deficiency and excess, and how prevalent vitamin D deficiency is.

Vitamin D & Brain Health: How D3 Affects Mood
Click Here to Subscribe: http://Bit.ly/ThomasVid Website: http://ThomasDeLauer.com Vitamin D & Brain Health: How D3 Affects Mood - Thomas DeLauer I talk about vitamin D a lot, but I really want to start making the connection to brain health, because a lot of us are battling with anxiety, we're battling with depression, we're battling with mood disorders and we don't always want to talk about it. But what if I told you that part of the solution very well could be our relationship with vitamin D, what we're getting from the sun. And not necessarily just the vitamin D that we're getting from the sun, but the vitamin D that we're getting from our food and potentially from our supplementation. I'm going to dive into the details of how that connection actually takes place. According to the National Library of Medicine we found that about 40-50% of Americans are already deficient in vitamin D. When you start thinking that vitamin D might be linked with mood disorders, well, then it's pretty evident that we need to be paying attention to it. Now the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics found that the link between vitamin D and our mood lies within the neurotransmitter serotonin. Now that serotonin neurotransmitter is what's responsible for us having a sense of well being. For us feeling calm, cool, and collected. Quite the opposite of feeling anxious or potentially depressed. Well, I'm going to get into the intricate details of it in just a minute, so you understand how serotonin works and so that you can make the connection. But what we have to remember first and foremost, is that a lot of these ties are still widely unknown. This is a pretty new topic, pretty new investigations when it comes down to vitamin D and the brain. Let's take a look at serotonin really quick. Okay? It's the job of serotonin, again, to help us feel good. The process of actually creating serotonin in the body is pretty interesting. You see, it comes down to something called trip to fan. What trip to fan is, is an amino acid. Those amino acids are usually derive from proteins that we consume. When we consume those proteins we generally require carbohydrates to allow the trip to fan to enter into the brain. Well, what researchers are now finding is that vitamin D could be a very critical component in that conversion process. Essentially, eat protein, get the trip to fan, have it go into the brain with the help of carbohydrates and then vitamin D comes in and assists in the metabolism and the creation of serotonin. Right at the very root of creating this neurotransmitter that helps us feel good. Now researchers are continuing to back up the fact that everything seems to be lying in what are called monoamines. Monoamines are a group of neurotransmitters including serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine. All three neurotransmitters that truly regulate how the brain operates when it comes to feeling good. Again, if we see that link between vitamin D and the creation of these monoamines you can get the hint that well, it might be pretty critical to overall feeling well. There's one study in particular that I really want to reference because it backs a lot of this up and it was done by Oregon State University. What it looked at was a 185 female participants that were all college students, okay, between the ages of 18 and 25. What they did is they initially measured their vitamin D levels. They found naturally that a lot of them were already deficient in vitamin D. But what they did is they monitored these women for an extended period of time. They monitored them over the winter time, over the spring, over the summer, and they watched their vitamin D levels fluctuate. Of course, naturally, in the winter time vitamin D levels were significantly lower. References 1) Can Vitamin D Improve Mood? | Healthy Eating | SF Gate. (n.d.). What is vitamin c? Vitamin C is commonly known to prevent and reduce cold symptoms. 2) Vitamin C is known as an ascorbic acid. 3) Ascorbic acid is a water-soluble nutrient found in some foods. 4) Vitamin C acts as an antioxidant helping to protect cells from the damage caused by free radicals. 5) What free radical does is that they are compounds formed when your body converts the food that you eat into energy. Some examples of free radical are from the environment such as air pollution and cigarette smoke. 6) So what does vitamin c do to your skin? The body needs Vitamin C in order to make collagen, a protein needed to help wounds heal. Collagen helps support tendons, ligaments and blood vessels and keeps the skin and other organs together. It also strengthens our immune systems by working properly by protecting us from diseases. Vitamin C replaces damage tissue that helps heal the wound faster. Also, vitamin c improves skin elasticity and helps create scar tissue and ligaments for quick recovery as well. 7) Vitamin C is a natural cure for skin problems. It is used in a lot of moisturizers, face packs & masks for making natural glow to the skin. It helps reduce wrinkles & preventing sagging skin by improving the elasticity. 8) Vitamin C shields our skin from the sun by protecting the skin form UV rays and the effect of sunlight exposure. It reduces sunburns as well and prevents consequences of long term sun exposure which can lead to skin cancer. 9) It also help protects DNA from photochemical reaction that can lead to tumour, skin discoloration and several kinds of skin cancer. So Vitamin C lightens dark discoloration like skin freckles & age spot & helps to get younger & smoother skin. 10) Improves skin texture because collagen provides structure for blood vessels. The tiny blood vessels under the skin carry oxygen & nutrients that the keep the skin healthy. If there are not enough nutrients, the skin will become dry and rough. So Vitamin C increases elastin formation, which thicken, protects and heals skin cells. This helps retain moisture, increases skin circulation and shapes the skin surface. 11) Moreover, Vitamin C helps take out the red out of the acne from your skin. The reason why there is redness is partially due to inflammation. So what vitamin c does is that it causes the immune system releases inflammatory chemicals known as leukotrienes to destroy acne bacteria. 12) eat more vitamin it is not only good for your body but your skin as well. The Importance Of Vitamin D For Testosterone (The Miracle Hormone)
Vitamin D is important for many different functions in the body. We can get vitamin D from the sun, from food and from supplements. Today I’m going to break down what vitamin D is, whether vitamin D can increase testosterone levels and finally how much you should be taking. For the most part, the research seems clear that vitamin D is positively tied to higher testosterone levels. Although more research needs to be done, I don’t think that it’s reasonable to expect a large increase in testosterone from supplementation if you’re already getting what your body requires. Get in the sun on a daily basis for at least 15 minutes minimum and consider supplementation if the circumstances call for it. Vitamin D is important for bone health, physical performance, cognitive health, sleep, etc… and so it’s worth taking regardless of any association with testosterone.
