How I got off Paxil quickly

04:46
After being "paxil free" for 2 weeks I decided to share how I did it. Ween with very little withdrawal. Disclaimer: Always consult with a medical professional before stopping ANY medication!!!! Withdrawals going cold turkey were very difficult to deal with. Tried twice and it was terrible. Alternatively, my weening process took about 2 months, and it was not all that bad! This is an explanation of how I succeeded, not on how YOU should do it. Comment with any questions or clarifications on the video. Share with others who could benefit in knowing it is possible to be paxil free.

My Introduction to Paxil

09:07
I was prescribed Paxil about 6.5-7 months ago. Regardless of what the doctor had told me, there are side effects and they are not pleasant. Since beginning Paxil, I had decided to get off of this drug and so far not so good. I do not feel that my problems warranted this prescription and I was ignorant and naïve and now ... I am so filled with rage over the makers of this poison and the doctors that hand it out like candy.

Bipolar Medications Changed My Life

02:52
I get a lot of questions about bipolar medications and, in this video, I answer them; including how they changed my life for the better. If you’re recently diagnosed, one of the biggest problems is finding the right medication for bipolar disorder that works specifically for you. Unfortunately, this can be extremely difficult and exhausting. After my diagnosis of bipolar 2, the first step was trying various medications to see what worked and what didn't. Unfortunately, the side effects of many of these bipolar medications can be severe, such as weight gain, extreme drowsiness, and other effects that hinder a person's ability to function. There was a point that the bipolar medications seemed to only increase my depressive and emotional behavior. I was incapable of communicating properly with those around me. Finally, I went to my doctors and demanded to find the right routine of medications. It took me around 5 years to find a steady regimen of medications that efficiently managed my bipolar disorder without dampening my personality and increasing my weight. I still experience highs and lows on medication, however, I have more control over it, whereas before my condition was in control of me. Hopefully, in the future, research will uncover new treatment methods with fewer side effects. Until then, do not lose hope and continue communicating with medical professionals seeking the right routine of bipolar medications for you. In the comments, I hope you'll share your experience with bipolar meds and, in what ways, have they helped you. ------- Hannah posts a new video every Monday morning on the HealthyPlace YouTube Channel. 💪⚡ Try Online Counseling: http://tryonlinetherapy.com/johnniejune If you are struggling with anxiety, depression or any other mental illness consider online counseling with a licensed professional at BetterHelp. It’s far cheaper and more convenient than in-person counseling. Believe me, you are worth it. Depression and anxiety are two things that I have dealt with for most of my (almost) 22 years. However, after many tries, I found the right antidepressant for me....Zoloft! Comment below if you have ever used Zoloft [Sertraline] and let me know how it affected you.

6 yrs psych drug free: How I made it through the darkest times of protracted withdrawal syndrome

12:17
For more see the post on Beyond Meds: http://beyondmeds.com/2016/02/09/6years-off/ Today is my anniversary off a huge psych drug cocktail I'd been on for 20 years. Below the video I made for this occasion is a cut and paste collection of the now 6 years documented since the also six year withdrawal process. http://beyondmeds.com/2010/01/10/recap-6-drugs-6-years-2/ In the video I speak to the inner resources that kept me going. I want to add here that I also was privileged to have a safe home and 24/7 hour care when I was bedridden and unable to leave the house for anything at all. Both the home and the care were provided for me by my husband. No one else in my life, including most of my close family had a clue what we were dealing with. I have to believe if they did they would have done more. The fact is there is nothing in society to help those who love us to understand what we are going through. There is a general denial by the medical establishment that this can even happen. This is something I’ve mostly been able to forgive but I don’t necessarily feel ready to spend much time with most of my family either. My mother is an exception here…she stayed in touch with my husband throughout the whole thing and was willing to do what she could. Indeed she often helped us stay afloat financially, which was, of course, critically important to staying alive. (I couldn’t speak very well for a couple of years so communicating by phone was out) So, my husband and I came through this together. There were many times I would have preferred to be alone given how heinously isolating this experience was simply by nature of the fact that no one can even begin to fathom what we are going through… This fact was painful for both me and Paul in different ways. For more info see: The isolation and sense of abandonment many people deal with when sick with protracted withdrawal illness. http://wp.me/P5nnb-3xy Those of us who have experienced protracted psychiatric drug withdrawal syndromes will always be the only ones who can give each other that acknowledgment. And it’s likely we will continue to freak out pretty much everyone around us when it’s at it’s worst. Anyway, the fact is I would be dead without Paul’s care and so that needs to be made clear as well. He has a deep trust and faith in life too and I wouldn’t have made it without his unusual ability to maintain that in the face of what I went through. Most people would have had me institutionalized, where I certainly would have died. It is a miracle that my husband could hold this space for me. Seriously a miracle. Most folks who come off these drugs don’t become as totally disabled as I did and can still leave the house etc. Not so for me and so, yes, my husband literally kept me alive and provided the space for me to literally disintegrate so that I could come back together again as well. One other person was a visitor during those darkest times. A woman who has become my dear friend. Sent to me from a volunteer organization to give me reiki, she could stand being with me as a witness when no one else could. Mary Joy had spent time as a chaplain in hospice and so knew how to be with people in pain. She told me once that she hadn’t seen another human being in all her time as chaplain who had to go through such an ordeal. She was completely serious. Having myself worked in hospice I know this to be true as well. It wasn’t something I would ever have concluded on my own, but since she said it and it rings true (I’ve worked in hospice too), I share it here now. How SSRIs (Paxil) Really Messed Me Up

09:46
Paxil, Prozac and Zooloft are all fluoride pills. In 1998 I convinced a psychiatrist to prescribe me Paxil for Social Anxiety Disorder due to Excessive Sweating. Both of these so called diseases were merely the result of a poor diet consisting of too much meat, carbs, sugar, caffiene and alcohol. A truly raw food diet will eliminate excessive sweating and prove your self control resulting in self confidence and personal power. (Also, forgive me for saying Celbrexa. I meant Cymbalta.) http://www.paxilprogress.org http://www.ahrp.org/risks/aldred0404.php http://www.facebook/mtbikemike

PAXIL withdrawal

04:55
I WENT TO HELL AND BACK FOR ONLY $4.00 BUCKS!!! Took Paxil and now im suffering. Awful medication. Be careful. This is what happens once you stop it. Cut me some slack, i know im talking weird, and rambling, but this is the real thing.. and it sucks! A minor correction: that was a Lincoln Zephyr that i kicked.. i know that i was at fault by doing that! Its just that all the emotions, having to go to work unwillingly, and constant stress all this combined with Paxil withdrawals led me to do something i never thought i would ever in my life do.

Christmas with Paxil

Just about a year now, since i had that horrible withdrawal from peroxetine/paxil. Something i hope i will never experience ever again in my entire life. It ruined my whole Christmas and New Year's last. I was not at the time, experienced in the whole prescription/ getting pills, refills etc.. the Dr's office was closed, and i ran out of paxil and i thought i was shit out of luck. I know that could of been prevented now, not then.. if i only knew. The doctor gave me no information about the drug.. the only thing he said is "here take this to the pharmacy, and thanks for coming."

Antidepressant Side Effects: What You Should Know

04:32
Feel Depressed or Anxious? Talk to Someone Now http://www.tryonlinetherapy.com/depressiontoexpression/ Antidepressants do hold their fair share of side effects. Let's be honest, anti-depressants have created some pretty serious horror stories in the past and continue to be scary option for those who suffer from anxiety or depression. I get it, taking antidepressants should be a decision you are comfortable with first. Of course, with every bad story from antidepressants there are also many success stories from people who used the exact same drug that others used who had these horror stories. I would say that my anti-depressant story is an extremely positive one. Let's talk about some of the side effects of these drugs and an important differentiation between POSSIBLE side effects and PROBABLE side effects. There's the key word right there :) If you are to comment, please refuse from naming any kinds of medications as everyones treatment is different. Let's not discourage the use of anti-depressants or promote them. Whatever works baby!! If you're curious of the side effects: • feeling agitated, shaky or anxious • feeling and being sick • indigestion and stomach aches • diarrhoea or constipation • loss of appetite • weight gain • dizziness • not sleeping well (insomnia), or feeling very sleepy • headaches • low sex drive • difficulties achieving orgasm during sex or masturbation • in men, difficulties obtaining or maintaining an erection (erectile dysfunction) • dry mouth • slight blurring of vision • constipation • problems passing urine • drowsiness • dizziness • excessive sweating (especially at night) • heart rhythm problems • confusion • agitation • muscle twitching • sweating • shivering • diarrhea • muscle pain • reduced appetite • confusion • feeling listless and tired • disorientation • agitation • seizures (fits) • suicidal thoughts SUBSCRIBE: https://bit.ly/2k1XpGt INSTAGRAM: http://www.instagram.com/depressiontoexpression FACEBOOK: http://www.facebook.com/depressiontoexpression TWITTER: http://www.twitter.com/expressionscott HELP ME: http://www.patreon.com/depressiontoexpression WEBSITE: http://www.depressiontoexpression.com QUESTIONS? scott@depressiontoexpression.com Our Mission: Create an honest dialogue about mental health by educating and inspiring people to express themselves freely with confidence Thank you to everyone who supports this channel and the mission of Depression to Expression. Enemy Number One: Paxil SSRI Withdrawal

07:22
Ok, first off, I want to make sure that I make it clear that what I had done was not wise. I do not want to come across as though I have the answers, because I do not. I may "think" that I have the answers for me, which may very well be the answer for you but it most definitely will NOT be the answer for many. I do not encourage anyone to do what I have done. During this entire ordeal I had not sought professional psychiatric or medical care whatsoever. If you're feeling really bad (you know what I mean here) then you need to see someone and not be as stubborn, ignorant, or take the risks that I have taken. I do not want to influence a single person in the wrong direction. My words are only for support, encouragement in a sense, but not to be highly influential in the choices that are right for YOU. Think about it passively if you wish, but don't take it any more seriously than that. PLEASE!!! This drug is a monster and a half. Be kind to yourself, please. Thank you.

Hey guys! This video was kind of rushed but just wanted to show you guys how i'm getting off my SSRI medication. I know a lot of people with POTS/ Lyme Disease were prescribed these before they found out the cause of there symptoms, or in my case, even after the POTS diagnosis and getting off them can be pretty horrible. I've finally found a way to do it that i think will be successful. Will make another update video soon about the lyme treatment i will be starting in the next few months! -Shannon xxo
