The information provided should not be used as a substitute for professional services. 14 early warning signs that cancer is growing in your body Here are signs that are commonly ignored: 1. Wheezing or shallow breathing If you ask lung cancer patients what the first thing they noticed was, the majority would say it was their difficulty with breathing, or trouble catching their breath. 2. Chronic coughing or pain in the chest area Chest pain, incessant coughing, and even pain that reaches down the arms are symptoms of leukemia and lung tumors. 3. Frequently having fevers or infections White blood cells help our body to fight off infections and foreign invaders. Leukemia is a type of blood cell cancer that begins in bone marrow and causes the body to produce abnormal white blood cells, which reduces the effectiveness of its ability to fight infections. 4. Trouble with swallowing If you have difficulty swallowing, you may want to get checked for preliminary esophageal or throat cancer. It is also associated with lung cancer as well. 5. Lymph nodes that are swollen or lumps on the skin of your neck, underarm, or groin Any drastic changes in your lymphatic system should be carefully observed. These changes could be warning signs of lymphatic cancer. 6. Over-bruising and excessive bleeding When platelets and red blood cells act abnormally, there becomes excessive bruising and bleeding. This symptom can be a sign of leukemia. 7. Constant fatigue Feeling weakness in your body, and constant fatigue are symptoms of several different kinds of cancer. You’ll need to examine these symptoms in conjunction with other ones as well. As a general rule, if you ever feel exhasuted to where you can barely move without any physical reason, see your doctor. 8. Bloating in the abdomen or localized weight gain Women with ovarian cancer reported having “inexplicable abdominal bloating.” They said this bloating and weight gain happened suddenly, and appeared, disappeared, and reappeared for a long time. 9. Loss of appetite and feeling full This symptom is a warning sign for ovarian cancer as well. A vast majority of women said they “just couldn’t eat,” even if it had been a while since their last meal. 10. Pain the pelvis or abdominal area Leukemia and ovarian cancer can cause abdominal and pelvic pain. 11. Bleeding from the rectum or blood in stool This is a symptom commonly found in those diagnosed with colon cancer. If you ever notice blood in your stool, it is advisable to schedule a visit to your physician. 12. Rapid and unexplained weight loss Rapidly losing weight is a warning sign of digestive and colon cancers. It is also a sign that cancer has infected the liver. It you lose your appetite and stop producing a normal amount of waste, see your doctor.. 13. Digestive pain or stomachache having stomach cramps or frequent upset stomach pain may indicate colon or stomach cancer. 14. A red, sore, or swollen breast These are signs of breast cancer and should be examined by a physician. 15. Changes to the nipple If the nipple starts to look flattened, inverted, or turned sideways, see your doctor about possible breast cancer. Women diagnosed with breast cancer say the first thing they noticed was the changes to their nipples. 16. Abnormally heavy or painful periods/Bleeding in between cycles Several women say this is the number one symptom of endometrial or uterine cancer. Request a transvaginal ultrasound if your menstrual cycle has any significant changes. 17. Puffiness in the face Lung cancer patients report noticing “puffiness, swelling, or redness” in the face. This happens because lung tumors tend to block blood vessels, which stops oxygenated blood from flowing to your neck and face. 18. A sore that doesn’t heal Get to know the various kinds of skin cancer. Melanoma, basal cell carcinoma, and squamous cell carcinoma are three common types. Check your skin for odd growths or spots. 19. Changes in fingernails Liver cancer, skin cancer, and lung cancer all show warning signs through the finger nails. Black spots, or lines, whitening and thickening around the edges, and “clubbing” are all signs you should pay attention to. 20. Pain localized in the lumbar spine or lower right side Several patients diagnose with liver and breast cancer cancer report this as one of their first signs. Regardless if you are a male or a female, it’s vital to pay attention to any abnormal changes in your body, as well as your energy levels. This will help to detect any signs of cancer while it’s still early. The faster you realize something isn’t quite right, the faster you can start to take the proper steps to heal your body.

20 early warning signs that cancer is growing in your body

04:14
20 early warning signs that cancer is growing in your body 1. Wheezing/shortness of breath Lung cancer patients remember noticing this as one of their first symptoms but didn't initially connect it to cancer. 2. Frequent fevers or infections Frequently a sign of leukemia, a cancer of the blood cells that starts in bone marrow. It causes the marrow to produce abnormal white blood cells that hinder your body's infection-fighting abilities. 3. Difficulty swallowing Most commonly associated with throat cancer, but can be a good indicator of lung cancer too. 4. Weakness and fatigue Such a common symptom of cancer that it should be looked at in combination with other symptoms to determine which it is. 5. Feeling full and unable to eat This is a sign of ovarian cancer. A loss of appetite even when you haven't eaten for a while is a tip-off. 6. Anorexia Could be an early sign of pancreatic cancer. A sudden disgust for coffee, wine or smoking can be linked to this as well. 7. Rectal bleeding or blood in stool Common sign of colorectal cancer. Blood in the toilet should be a big enough sign to see a doctor immediately. 8. Lumps in the neck, underarm or groin area Swollen lymph nodes indicate changes in the lymphatic system which can lead to cancer. 9. Excessive bruising or bleeding that doesn't stop Suggests abnormalities with the platelets and red blood cells, which can be a sign of leukemia. Leukemia cells crowd out red blood cells impairing your blood's ability to carry oxygen leading to clots. 10. Bloating or abdominal weight gain Ovarian cancer patients reported unexplained bloating that came on suddenly and continued for a significant amount of time. 11. Unexplained weight loss An early sign of colon and other digestive cancers. Also a sign of cancer that has spread to the liver, affecting your appetite and the body's ability to get rid of waste. 12. A red, sore, or swollen breast Indicates inflammatory breast cancer, unexplained changes should be told to a doctor immediately. A nipple that appears flattened, inverted or turned sideways had also been noticed by patients diagnosed with breast cancer. 13. Swelling of facial features Lung cancer patients have reported noticing puffiness, swelling or redness of the face. Small cell lung tumors commonly block blood vessels in the chest preventing blood from flowing freely to the head. 14. Sore/lump on the skin that bleeds, becomes crusty or doesn't heal Different types of skin cancer (melanoma, basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma) can cause these, so be aware of any odd-looking growths or spots. 15. Changes in nails A brown/black dot under the nail can indicate skin cancer. Pale or white nails can be a sign of liver cancer. "Clubbing", which is the enlargement of the fingers with nails that curve down over the tips, can be a sign of lung cancer. 16. Unusually heavy or painful periods, bleeding between periods A common sign of endometrial or uterine cancer. A transvaginal ultrasound should be considered if the problem persists. 17. Chronic cough or chest pain Leukemia and lung tumors (among others), show symptoms that can mimic a bad cough or bronchitis. Some patients also reported a chest pain that extended to the shoulder and down their arm. 18. Pelvic/Abdominal pain Pain and cramping in the pelvis can be linked with the bloating signs of ovarian cancer. Leukemia also does this because it enlarges the spleen. 19. Pain in back or lower right side Often an early sign of liver cancer. Breast cancer can also be found through this as a breast tumor can press backward into the chest or spread to the spine/ribs. 20. Upset stomach Stomach cramps or a frequently upset stomach can be a sign of colorectal cancer. Subscribe ► https://goo.gl/1dVtUS Thank you for watching. Regularly performing self-exams and knowing what to look for can help you recognize when something has changed. Self-exams can be performed on other parts of the body as well, and can allow you to discover lumps before they develop into larger tumors. 2. Itchy Skin The body treats cancer as a bacteria. Wounds That Don’t Heal If you notice that a cut or another skin injury is taking a long time to heal, it could be a sign that cancer is growing in your body. Finding blood in your stools could be a sign of colon cancer, and it should be evaluated by a medical professional. 7. Changes in Urination Bladder function should be fairly regular when you are healthy. Changes in the strength of urine flow, color, smell, presence of foam or blood should be checked out immediately. 8. Bleeding Bleeding that is unexplained should always be checked. Blood from the uterus, nipple or in any bodily excretions can be a major sign of a problem. 9. Changes in Voice Cancer of the larynx can cause the pitch and tone of your voice to change. If you notice your voice changing or someone else mentions it, make an appointment with a health care professional. 10. Constant Coughing Cancer of the lungs, esophagus, throat and even stomach can cause constant coughing. Signs and Symptoms of blood cancer

02:25
‘Early diagnosis saves lives’. As with many other cancers, the earlier blood cancer is picked up and diagnosed, the better the treatment outcomes are. Because of the vagueness of the symptoms, which include tiredness, frequent infections, itchy skin, night sweats, sore bones and bruising, 33% - 10,000 cases - of all blood cancers are diagnosed via the emergency admissions route. This is too late and we want to change this because early diagnosis saves lives. The more awareness of the disease there is amongst the public and medical professionals, we can help to encourage earlier diagnosis – literally saving lives. Be careful: The First Signs And Symptoms Of Lung Cancer That You Should Not Ignore

05:05
Be careful: The First Signs And Symptoms Of Lung Cancer That You Should Not Ignore First. Lung cancer is the second most common cancer in men and women, and the leading cause of cancer death according to the American Cancer Society. While you may think that smokers are the only segment of the population at risk for lung cancer, you may be surprised to know that twenty percent of lung cancer deaths are people who do not smoke. The American Cancer Society explains that air pollution, secondhand smoke, gas, and cancer-causing agents, such as asbestos and gas oil, are the main risk factors for lung cancer. The best defense against lung cancer is to know the first signs and symptoms. The sooner you visit your doctor and the sooner the cancer is diagnosed, the better chance of recovery. Continue reading to learn about the first signs and symptoms of lung cancer. Frequent illness. If you have noticed a spike in your frequency of illnesses such as colds, flu, bronchitis or pneumonia, you should talk to your doctor about the possible causes of your depressed immune system. Dr. Kelley says that when cancer sits in lung tissue and bronchial tubes, the lungs become more susceptible to the disease. Unexplained weight loss. If you have lost interest in food or feel full quickly after eating, lung cancer may be affecting your appetite. Dr. Kelley recommends having a notebook to record symptoms and possible causes, such as food poisoning, food allergy, PMS in women, or gastrointestinal diseases. If the cause is unexplained, you need the attention of your doctor. Pain of the fingers. You may be surprised to know that thick and painful fingertips are a typical symptom of lung cancer. This is because lung tumors release chemicals in the bloodstream that stimulate the growth of bones and tissues at the fingertips and under the nails. Dr. Kelley says that you should tell your doctor about any thickening, swelling, or tapping on your fingers. Pain in the torso. If you experience persistent dull pain in the chest, shoulder, back, or abdomen, you may be experiencing direct pressure from a lung tumor. According to Dr. Kelley, chest pain is a symptom in one in four patients with lung cancer. Hoarsely. If your voice sounds a little hoarse or if you feel pain when swallowing or talking, you may have lung cancer. NHS Choices says that this common symptom is a reason to call your doctor, especially when accompanied by a persistent cough, wheezing or coughing up blood. Shortness of breath. This is a common symptom in women who are often misdiagnosed as a side effect of age or inactivity. Shortness of breath is a sign of adenocarcinoma, the most common form of lung cancer in women. Weakness in the upper limbs. Weakness in the upper limbs, loss of coordination and muscle cramps are all symptoms of paraneoplastic syndrome, a condition related to lung cancer in which hormonal substances are secreted by tumors. Breast growth in men. One less talked about symptom in male lung cancer patients is enlargement of the breast around and under the nipple. Dr. Kelley explains that this is a symptom of paraneoplastic syndrome, caused by the release of hormones, proteins and other substances into the bloodstream. https://youtu.be/cALmN0f5w_g

Early Signs that Cancer is Growing in Your Body

16:15
Don’t rely on routine tests alone to protect you from cancer. It’s just as important to listen to your body and notice anything that’s different, odd, or unexplainable. Here are some signs that are commonly overlooked: 1. Wheezing or shortness of breath One of the first signs many lung cancer patients remember noticing is the inability to catch their breath. 2. Chronic cough or chest pain Several types of cancer, including leukemia and lung tumors, can cause symptoms that mimic a bad cough or bronchitis. Some lung cancer patients report chest pain that extends up into the shoulder or down the arm. 3. Frequent fevers or infections These can be signs of leukemia, a cancer of the blood cells that starts in the bone marrow. Leukemia causes the marrow to produce abnormal white blood cells, sapping your body’s infection-fighting capabilities. 4. Difficulty swallowing Trouble swallowing is most commonly associated with esophageal or throat cancer, and is sometimes one of the first signs of lung cancer, too. 5. Swollen lymph nodes or lumps on the neck, underarm, or groin Enlarged lymph nodes indicate changes in the lymphatic system, which can be a sign of cancer. 6. Excessive bruising or bleeding that doesn’t stop This symptom usually suggests something abnormal happening with the platelets and red blood cells, which can be a sign of leukemia. Over time, leukemia cells crowd out red blood cells and platelets, impairing your blood’s ability to carry oxygen and clot. 7. Weakness and fatigue Generalized fatigue and weakness is a symptom of so many different kinds of cancer that you’ll need to look at it in combination with other symptoms. But any time you feel exhausted without explanation and it doesn’t respond to getting more sleep, talk to your doctor. 8. Bloating or abdominal weight gain Women diagnosed with ovarian cancer overwhelmingly report unexplained abdominal bloating that came on fairly suddenly and continued on and off over a long period of time. 9. Feeling full and unable to eat This is another tip-off to ovarian cancer; women say they have no appetite and can’t eat, even when they haven’t eaten for some time. 10. Pelvic or abdominal pain Pain and cramping in the pelvis and abdomen can go hand in hand with the bloating that often signals ovarian cancer. Leukemia can also cause abdominal pain resulting from an enlarged spleen. 11. Rectal bleeding or blood in stool This is a common result of diagnosing colorectal cancer. Blood in the toilet alone is reason to call your doctor and schedule a colonoscopy. 12. Unexplained weight loss Weight loss is an early sign of colon and other digestive cancers; it’s also a sign of cancer that’s spread to the liver, affecting your appetite and the ability of your body to rid itself of wastes. 13. Upset stomach or stomachache Stomach cramps or frequent upset stomachs may indicate colorectal cancer. 14. A red, sore, or swollen breast These symptoms can indicate inflammatory breast cancer. Call your doctor about any unexplained changes to your breasts. 15. Nipple changes One of the most common changes women remember noticing before being diagnosed with breast cancer is a nipple that began to appear flattened, inverted, or turned sideways. 16. Unusually heavy or painful periods or bleeding between periods Many women report this as the tip-off to endometrial or uterine cancer. Ask for a transvaginal ultrasound if you suspect something more than routine heavy periods. 17. Swelling of facial features Some patients with lung cancer report noticing puffiness, swelling, or redness in the face. Small cell lung tumors commonly block blood vessels in the chest, preventing blood from flowing freely from your head and face. 18. A sore or skin lump that doesn’t heal, becomes crusty, or bleeds easily Familiarize yourself with the different types of skin cancer —melanoma, basal cell carcinoma, and squamous cell carcinoma — and be vigilant about checking skin all over your body for odd-looking growths or spots.

7 Early Signs and Symptoms of a Brain Tumor Don't Ignore These

05:15
7 Early Signs and Symptoms of a Brain Tumor Brain tumors come in all shapes and sizes and so do their symptoms. "The key to a tumor's symptoms really depends on its location," says Theodore Schwartz, MD, a neurosurgeon with the Weill Cornell Brain and Spine Center. For example, if you have a tumor near the part of your brain that controls your arm or your eyesight, your symptoms may include limb weakness or blurry vision, Schwartz says. When you consider that every cell in your brain can form a tumor—and that your brain controls or interprets information from every part of your body—the list of possible tumor symptoms encompasses "almost anything imaginable," Schwartz says. Still, some signs and symptoms are more common than others. Here's what to watch out for. Seizures Regardless of your type of tumor, seizures are often one of the first signs of trouble. "Irritation from the tumor makes the [brain's] neurons fire uncontrollably, and you get abnormal movements," Schwartz says. Like tumors, seizures take many forms. You could experience whole-body convulsions, or jerking or flexing confined to one limb or one part of your face. Clumsiness If you find yourself fumbling with keys, missing steps, or struggling with your balance, that sort of clumsiness in your arms, legs, or hands could be a sign of trouble, Schwartz says. Problems speaking, swallowing, or controlling your facial expressions are some of the ways clumsiness could show up in or around your head, he adds. Numbness Like clumsiness, losing feeling in a part of your body or face is something to keep an eye on, Schwartz says. Particularly if a tumor forms on the brain stem—the place where your brain connects with your spinal cord—you may experience loss of feeling or clumsy movements. Changes in memory or thinking While it's true that tumors can cause big shifts in a person's behavior or personality, the types of radical transformations you sometimes hear about—or see in movies—are uncommon, Schwartz says. People with tumors are more likely to have issues remembering things, to feel confused, or to suffer less-dramatic thinking problems, he says. Nausea Feeling queasy or sick to your stomach, especially if those symptoms are persistent and unexplained, could be a sign of a tumor, Schwartz says. Vision changes Blurry vision, double vision, and loss of vision are all associated with tumors, Schwartz says. You may also see floating spots or shapes—or what's known as an "aura." Not usually headaches Breathe easy. Despite what most of us would assume, headaches are often not an early indicator of a brain tumor. "They could come on with a very large tumor, but they're not usually one of the first symptoms to emerge," Schwartz says. Everything else you need to know What causes a tumor? Schwartz says some genetic disorders can lead to brain tumors. "But the majority of tumors arise in people with no known risk factors or predisposing factors," he explains. Children and adults over 60 are more likely to develop tumors, but "everyone is at risk at any age," he adds. Despite what you may have heard, cell phones are not a known risk factor. "That's a common misconception, but there's no compelling evidence that pushes us to consider a link between cell phones and tumors," he says. For large or malignant brain tumors, treatments could involve surgery, medications, radiation, or chemotherapy. The good news: Not all brain tumors are serious. "Many tumors are small and benign, and require no treatment," Schwartz explains. "If we find one, we'll just monitor it for growth or changes."

9 Warning Signs of Bone Marrow Cancer

Like, Comment, Subscribe and invite all your friends to see our videos. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCUOF1_1_fY50PVN0TtItbDQ?sub_confirmation=1 9 Warning Signs of Bone Marrow Cancer 1. Exhaustion One of the earliest signs of multiple myeloma is a general feeling of exhaustion that fails to go away, even when one gets lots of rest and follows a healthy diet. These feelings of fatigue are usually related to the way multiple myeloma attacks the healthy cells of the bone marrow, which in many cases can result in anemia or inconsistent cytokine production. Because feelings of fatigue are fairly common, this symptom should be considered in combination with other signs of multiple myeloma on this list. For example, someone who has a family history of cancer, and especially bone marrow cancer, will want to be tested for multiple myeloma if they suddenly experience a long, generally unbreaking wave of exhaustion lasting several days or weeks. 2. Anemia Anemia, which occurs when the number of red blood cells reaches critically low levels, results from multiple myeloma because it causes the suppression or crowding out of healthy red blood cells. The most common side effect of anemia is an overpowering feeling of fatigue that may not break even with healthy diet, ample rest, fluids, or stimulants like caffeine. This feeling of general exhaustion can last for days or even weeks at a time. However, it should be noted that anemia is not only related to multiple myeloma and the development of bone marrow cancer. It can result from a number of other health conditions, from pregnancy to menstruation and iron and vitamin deficiency. Simply failing to get enough iron in the diet can cause anemia. 3. Pain in the bones One of the more obvious and distinct signs of multiple myeloma is feelings of pain in the bones. This is because multiple myeloma forms in the marrow of the bone and, as time goes on, its suppression of healthy red blood cells can cause the bone to thin and weaken, resulting in osteoporosis. Once this stage is reached, the chance of fracturing or completely breaking the affected bone increases substantially. It also results in mild to moderate feelings of pain in and around the bone. This pain may be more noticeable if the problem involves particularly critical bones, such as the spine, which are responsible for supporting multiple parts of the body. This pain tends to increase with movement and may be considerably more noticeable during the evening and early morning hours. If the spine is affected, the patient may experience compression fractures that cause slumping; over time, this could even result in a patient losing a few inches from their height. 4. Numbness Because multiple myeloma targets the healthy red blood cells of the bone marrow, in time it can cause the patient’s bones to weaken. While this often results in the affected bones becoming frailer and painful, it can also lead to general feelings of numbness. This sensation of numbness is most pronounced when multiple myeloma invades the vertebrae of the spine. As the problem spreads through the spine, it causes the bones to weaken, resulting in vertebrae coming into contact with each other and the nerves spiraling around the spine. In touching upon these highly sensitive nerves, multiple myeloma effectively scrambles the signal traveling between the brain and spine, leaving the area feeling numb. 5. Kidney problems If not caught early on, multiple myeloma can eventually lead to significant problems in the kidney. This is because the development of multiple myeloma results in the emergence of proteins that, when produced to excess — as they often are when multiple myeloma takes hold — can put undue pressure on the kidneys, resulting in damage or even kidney failure. Ideally, the patient would recognize other signs and symptoms of multiple myeloma — such as excessive fatigue or bone pain — and be able to take action prior to reaching the stage where kidney problems emerge. However, should those signs not raise flags, the emergence of kidney-related issues should be identified as a possible sign of multiple myeloma. 6. Hypercalcemia Over time, multiple myeloma results in the production of cancerous cells that effectively push healthy cells out of the bone marrow. This makes the bone feel weak, painful, and potentially numb. In time, it could cause the bone to fracture or completely break. This wearing down of the bones through multiple myeloma also results in a condition known as hypercalcemia, which emerges when there is an excessive amount of calcium in the blood. Hypercalcemia is often found in people with multiple myeloma, because their bones, which contain calcium, are effectively breaking down. Hypercalcemia introduces its own, rather significant health problems, from exhaustion to constipation and kidney issues. 7. Weight loss 8. Mental confusion 9. Frequent illnesses 9 Warning Signs of Bone Marrow Cancer By styH

Detecting Early Signs of Lymphoma Symptoms

03:29
http://howisurvivedlymphoma.blogspot.com There are many types of cancer and it is best that you become aware of the symptoms of signs of each so that you won't be surprised after spending lots of time thinking about things and realizing that you are already infected with one. Many kinds of the cancer disease are hard to determine, especially at the first phase, which is a vital stage to know if you have this so that you can undergo the necessary medications while the sickness can still be cured. One kind of cancer with symptoms that are confusing is known as lymphoma. Most of the signs and changes on your body that will occur if you have this can also happen in other kinds of illnesses. This kind of cancer starts in the lymphocytes, which can be found in the body's immune system. The condition will develop into solid tumor on the lymphoid cells. This illness is categorized in many types that are part of an extensive group of disorders that are referred to as hematological neoplasms. If you are starting to feel vital changes on your system, you must not disregard this. Check these common symptoms of this illness and consult your doctor for more information and proper treatment. 1. It is a good habit to check your body for any kinds of lumps that are already growing at certain areas. In this case, enlarged lymph nodes usually develop in the groin, armpits and neck. You will notice these if you are going to inspect your body when you are done bathing or when you are changing clothes. These lumps are painless, especially during the first few weeks of the cancer development. These nodes usually lead to other symptoms that are not exclusive to this kind of sickness. 2. The cells that are infected with whatever is causing the illness produce special chemicals that may cause the whole body to itch. This may become intolerable no matter what kind of creams you put on your skin, so you may be more determined to get checked by a professional. It may be okay to resort to self-medication during the first day or even two, but you really have to take the matter more seriously if the itchiness doesn't stop after you have tried everything. You wouldn't want to be faced with greater consequences as a result of your inaction, so you really have to consult the doctor to know what's the matter. 3. As the cancer cells grow, you will feel weaker and won't have the energy to do things that you used to enjoy. These cancer cells utilize most of the body's nutrients. Aside from this, you are also losing the drive to eat. This will lead to alarming weight loss and if you are not going to do anything about it, you will find it hard to enjoy life and become productive. Even if you don't have it, it will help to be armed with the right information about how to detect if you have lymphoma. It is also very important to undergo overall body exam once a year to make sure that you are fit and you are not suffering from any kinds of illnesses. http://howisurvivedlymphoma.blogspot.com

Symptoms of leukemia in toddlers | warning signs of leukemia in children

Symptoms of leukemia in toddlers Subscribe My Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCSQ9jXeLYjPBltSL9zCRvPQ Video Url: https://youtu.be/UilQB0RZNpc Coughing or trouble breathing: Some types of leukemia can affect structures in the middle of the chest, such as lymph nodes or the thymus a small organ in front of the trachea, the breathing tube that leads to the lungs. An enlarged thymus or lymph nodes in the chest can press on the trachea, causing coughing or trouble breathing. In some cases where the white blood cell count is very high, the leukemia cells can build up in the small blood vessels of the lungs, which can also cause trouble breathing. Swelling of the face and arms: The superior vena cava SVC, a large vein that carries blood from the head and arms back to the heart, passes next to the thymus. An enlarged thymus may press on the SVC, causing the blood to “back up” in the veins. This is known as SVC syndrome. It can cause swelling in the face, neck, arms, and upper chest sometimes with a bluish-red skin color. It can also cause headaches, dizziness, and a change in consciousness if it affects the brain. The SVC syndrome can be life-threatening, and needs to be treated right away. Headache, seizures, vomiting: A small number of children have leukemia that has already spread to the brain and spinal cord when they are first diagnosed. This can lead to symptoms such as headache, trouble concentrating, weakness, seizures, vomiting, problems with balance, and blurred vision. How to Recognize the Signs of Leukemia | Leukemia Signs and Symptoms Every Woman Needs To Know

05:15
====================================================== SUBSCRIBE TO MY CHANNEL PLEASE.... https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWDyU5Z3SKdlZ0tL8WLsvRw?sub_confirmation=1 ===================================================== How to Recognize the Signs of Leukemia Leukemia is a blood cancer that affects the white blood cells in your body that are usually in charge of fighting infections and diseases. Those who suffer from leukemia have corrupted white blood cells that crowd out the healthy cells and lead to serious problems. Leukemia can grow fast or slow, and there are several types. Recognize the common symptoms of leukemia and learn when to seek treatment. Check for symptoms that resemble the flu. These symptoms include having a fever, being tired, or having chills. If the symptoms fade after a few days and you feel healthy again, you probably just had the flu. That being said, if flu-like symptoms do not subside, see your physician. Leukemia patients often mistake leukemia symptoms to be those of the flu or other infections. In particular, look for: Continual weakness or tiredness Frequent or severe nosebleeds Repetitive infections Unexplained weight loss Inflamed lymph nodes Swollen spleen or liver Bleeding or bruising easily Small red marks on your skin Profuse sweating Bone cramps Bleeding gums Have a physical exam. When you visit your doctor, he will check to see whether your skin is abnormally pale. This could result from anemia that is associated with leukemia. Your doctor will also check to see whether your lymph nodes are swollen. Your physician also will test to see whether your liver and spleen are larger than normal. People also ask What are the signs and symptoms of leukemia in adults? What are the early symptoms of leukemia? Why do people get leukemia? How do you test for leukemia? 9 Early Signs of Lung Cancer

06:15
Lung cancer may not produce any noticeable symptoms in the early stages. In approximately 40 percent of people diagnosed with lung cancer, the diagnosis is made after the disease has advanced. In one-third of those diagnosed, the cancer has reached stage 3. Cough that won't quit Be on alert for a new cough that lingers. A cough associated with a cold or respiratory infection will go away in a week or two, but a persistent cough that lingers can be a symptom of lung cancer. Don't be tempted to dismiss a stubborn cough, whether it is dry or produces mucus. See your doctor right away. They will listen to your lungs and may order an X-ray or other tests. Change in a cough Pay attention to any changes in a chronic cough, particularly if you are a smoker. If you are coughing more often, your cough is deeper or has hoarse sound, or you are coughing up blood or more mucus than usual, it's time to make a doctor's appointment. If a family member or friend experiences these changes, suggest that they visit their doctor. Breathing changes Shortness of breath or becoming easily winded can also be possible symptoms of lung cancer. Changes in breathing can occur if lung cancer blocks or narrows an airway, or if fluid from a lung tumor builds up in the chest. Make a point of noticing when you feel winded or short of breath. If you find it's difficult to breath after climbing stairs or performing tasks you could do before without having a hard time breathing, don't ignore it. Pain in the chest area Lung cancer may produce pain in the chest, shoulders, or back. An aching feeling may not be associated with coughing. Tell your doctor if you notice any type of chest pain, whether it is sharp, dull, constant, or comes and goes. You should also note whether it is confined to a specific area or is occurring throughout your chest. When lung cancer causes chest pain, the discomfort may result from enlarged lymph nodes or metastasis to the chest wall, the lining around the lungs called pleura, or the ribs. Wheezing When airways become constricted, blocked, or inflamed, the lungs produce a wheezing or whistling sound when you breathe. Wheezing can be associated with multiple causes, some of which are benign and easily treatable. However, wheezing is also a symptom of lung cancer, which is why it merits your doctor's attention. Don't assume that wheezing is caused by asthma or allergies. Have your doctor confirm the cause. Raspy, hoarse voice If you hear a significant change in your voice, or if someone else points out that your voice sounds deeper, hoarse, or raspier, get checked out by your doctor. Hoarseness can be caused by a simple cold, but this symptom may point to something more serious when it persists for more than two weeks. Hoarseness related to lung cancer can occur when the tumor affects the nerve that controls the larynx, or voice box. Drop in weight An unexplained weight loss of 10 pounds or more may be associated with lung cancer or another type of cancer. When cancer is present, this drop in weight may result from cancer cells using energy. It could also result from shifts in the way the body uses energy from food. Don't write off a change in your weight if you haven't been trying to shed pounds. It may be a clue to a change in your health. Bone pain Lung cancer that has spread to the bones may produce pain in the back or in other areas of the body. This pain may worsen at night while resting on the back. It may be difficult to differentiate between bone and muscle pain. Bone pain is often worse at night and increases with movement. Additionally, lung cancer is sometimes associated with shoulder, arm, or neck pain, although this is less common. Be attentive to your aches and pains, and discuss them with your doctor. Headache Headaches may be a sign that lung cancer has spread to the brain. However, not all headaches are associated with brain metastases. Sometimes, a lung tumor may create pressure on the superior vena cava. This is the large vein that moves blood from the upper body to the heart. The pressure can also trigger headaches.
