Introduction to Kids Unite to Fight

05:04
We, at C.O.L.E.'s Foundation, are excited about getting students involved in childhood cancer awareness. More importantly, they will be digging into their own hearts to realize that throughout life, we have choices to make, and they can make a difference. C.O.L.E.'s (Caring Openly, Loving Eternally) Foundation was founded in September, 2008, in memory of a 3-year-old boy, Cole, who lost his battle to a rare, aggressive form of cancer called Adreno Cortical Carcinoma. The mission of C.O.L.E.'s Foundation is to create public awareness regarding children with cancer, provide outreach, support, and encouragement to their families, and advocate for research to find a cure. The program, "Kids Unite to Fight," is one way in which we can do this. Every school day, 46 more children will be diagnosed with cancer. Our goal with "Kids Unite to Fight" is to offer these children some smiles and hope by receiving letters of encouragement from children their own age. This project is so much more than just a project for the kids in the hospital. It's a project that can transform the lives of the next generation by simply helping them look beyond themselves. With your help, we are brightening the lives of children afflicted with cancer while instilling a sense of community in all our children. Again, we thank you for your willingness to participate in this rewarding program. Please know that you and your students are making a HUGE difference in the lives of these kids!

Steve Beshear

01:06:58
Steven Lynn "Steve" Beshear is an American attorney and Democratic Party politician who was the 61st Governor of Kentucky from 2007 to 2015. He served in the Kentucky House of Representatives from 1974 to 1979, was the state's Attorney General from 1980 to 1983, and was the 49th Lieutenant Governor from 1983 to 1987. After graduating from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 1968, Beshear briefly practiced law in New York before returning to Kentucky and being elected to the state legislature, where he gained a reputation as a consumer advocate. He parlayed that reputation into a term as attorney general, serving under Governor John Y. Brown, Jr. As attorney general, Beshear issued an opinion that copies of the Ten Commandments would have to be removed from the walls of the state's classrooms in the wake of the U.S. Supreme Court's decision in Stone v. Graham. He also clashed with first lady Phyllis George Brown when he opposed the practice of charging an admission fee for visitors to view the renovated governor's mansion. In 1983, Beshear was elected lieutenant governor in the administration of Governor Martha Layne Collins. His most significant action in this capacity was the formation of the Kentucky Tomorrow Commission, a panel charged with making recommendations for the future of the state. Triple-Negative Breast Cancer

00:51
My moms blog where you can get information for making a donation and/or simply follow her journey, she is an amazing writer: http://christinasrealtalk.blogspot.com/ Both my mom and dad do foster care to help the unfortunate, because they themselves suffered the same fate growing up. They want to intervene and make a positive impact. Throughout the years they have become loving parents to more than twenty kids from Oregon to Texas. It is hard for my family to ask for help, especially my parents since they have always been the ones providing aid. The fact is we need all the help we can get. This cancer is devestating to us and is taking a large toll on our family. We love our mom, she is the most amazing woman in the world, so I humbly ask you to make a donation, any small contribution is greatly appreciated. This cancer is devestating to us and is taking a large toll on our family. Read more on the rare triple-negative breast cancer.: http://www.breastcancer.org/symptoms/diagnosis/trip_neg/behavior.jsp

El ENGAÑO de los PLANES DE PENSIONES y porqué NO DEBES contratarlos JAMÁS

06:05

Dennis Hopper

29:22
Dennis Lee Hopper (May 17, 1936 – May 29, 2010) was an American actor, filmmaker, photographer, and artist. As a young man, Hopper became interested in acting and eventually became a student of the Actors Studio. He made his first television appearance in 1954 and appeared in two films featuring James Dean, Rebel Without a Cause (1955) and Giant (1956). During the next ten years, Hopper appeared frequently on television in guest roles, and by the end of the 1960s had played supporting roles in several films. He directed and starred in Easy Rider (1969), winning an award at the Cannes Film Festival and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay as co-writer. Journalist Ann Hornaday wrote: "With its portrait of counterculture heroes raising their middle fingers to the uptight middle-class hypocrisies, Easy Rider became the cinematic symbol of the 1960s, a celluloid anthem to freedom, macho bravado and anti-establishment rebellion." Film critic Matthew Hays notes that "no other persona better signifies the lost idealism of the 1960s than that of Dennis Hopper." This video is targeted to blind users. Auburn Coach Wife Kristi Malzahn Agrees with Match & eHarmony: Men are Jerks

12:22
My advice is this: Settle! That's right. Don't worry about passion or intense connection. Don't nix a guy based on his annoying habit of yelling "Bravo!" in movie theaters. Overlook his halitosis or abysmal sense of aesthetics. Because if you want to have the infrastructure in place to have a family, settling is the way to go. Based on my observations, in fact, settling will probably make you happier in the long run, since many of those who marry with great expectations become more disillusioned with each passing year. (It's hard to maintain that level of zing when the conversation morphs into discussions about who's changing the diapers or balancing the checkbook.) Obviously, I wasn't always an advocate of settling. In fact, it took not settling to make me realize that settling is the better option, and even though settling is a rampant phenomenon, talking about it in a positive light makes people profoundly uncomfortable. Whenever I make the case for settling, people look at me with creased brows of disapproval or frowns of disappointment, the way a child might look at an older sibling who just informed her that Jerry's Kids aren't going to walk, even if you send them money. It's not only politically incorrect to get behind settling, it's downright un-American. Our culture tells us to keep our eyes on the prize (while our mothers, who know better, tell us not to be so picky), and the theme of holding out for true love (whatever that is—look at the divorce rate) permeates our collective mentality. Even situation comedies, starting in the 1970s with The Mary Tyler Moore Show and going all the way to Friends, feature endearing single women in the dating trenches, and there's supposed to be something romantic and even heroic about their search for true love. Of course, the crucial difference is that, whereas the earlier series begins after Mary has been jilted by her fiancé, the more modern-day Friends opens as Rachel Green leaves her nice-guy orthodontist fiancé at the altar simply because she isn't feeling it. But either way, in episode after episode, as both women continue to be unlucky in love, settling starts to look pretty darn appealing. Mary is supposed to be contentedly independent and fulfilled by her newsroom family, but in fact her life seems lonely. Are we to assume that at the end of the series, Mary, by then in her late 30s, found her soul mate after the lights in the newsroom went out and her work family was disbanded? If her experience was anything like mine or that of my single friends, it's unlikely. And while Rachel and her supposed soul mate, Ross, finally get together (for the umpteenth time) in the finale of Friends, do we feel confident that she'll be happier with Ross than she would have been had she settled down with Barry, the orthodontist, 10 years earlier? She and Ross have passion but have never had long-term stability, and the fireworks she experiences with him but not with Barry might actually turn out to be a liability, given how many times their relationship has already gone up in flames. It's equally questionable whether Sex and the City's Carrie Bradshaw, who cheated on her kindhearted and generous boyfriend, Aidan, only to end up with the more exciting but self-absorbed Mr. Big, will be better off in the framework of marriage and family. (Some time after the breakup, when Carrie ran into Aidan on the street, he was carrying his infant in a Baby Björn. Can anyone imagine Mr. Big walking around with a Björn?)
