3 Weird Tips on Lowering BAD LDL Cholesterol and Increase GOOD HDL Cholesterol

02:20
Do you want to lower your cholesterol? In this short video, I share three unusual ways of improving your cholesterol levels naturally. Links to all the studies and further info on improving your cholesterol naturally, so you may be able to avoid medication altogether: http://bit.ly/cholesterol-heart-attacks You're unlikely to hear the tips in this video from a doctor. Yet they can be highly effective at getting your cholesterol to a healthy level. In fact, one of them was found in a study to lower the heart disease risk for 9 out of 10 people. My name is Gareth Churchill and I’m natural health researcher for Erudite Lifestyle magazine. We report on the latest breakthroughs in alternative medicine as well as expose the bogus claims. When it comes to cholesterol, new advances are being made all the time on how to balance your cholesterol and lower your risk of heart disease naturally, and avoid spending a lifetime on pharmaceutical drugs with possible side effects. My first unusual tip is to eat FAT. That's right, I said FAT. But not any fat. I mean healthy fats that can help boost your GOOD HDL cholesterol. This includes fatty fish, olives, flax seeds and avocados. My next tip is to drink ALCOHOL. Or to be precise, one glass of red wine a day. Again, research suggests it can raise HDL cholesterol by as much as 15% and help get your cholesterol to a healthy ratio. My final tip is to try CHELATION therapy. This was first developed to remove heavy metals from the arteries of factory workers. However, doctors were amazed to discover it can help flush out cholesterol plaque as well, and has been found to lower the risk of heart disease for 9 out of 10 people. In this short video I’m only scratching the surface on how to get your cholesterol to a healthy ratio and lower your risk of a heart attack or stroke. On the Erudite Lifestyle website we explain in detail how to flush toxic cholesterol plaque from your arteries, to lower your blood pressure and improve your all round health. We also reveal why cholesterol may not be the #1 cause of heart attacks at all. And what you need to ask your doctor to check for instead. What’s more, you can get our FREE report on 7 Brain Foods for a smarter, faster and clearer mind. Sounds interesting? Then click the link below. How to PREVENT STROKE? Drink a Pint of BEER Everyday to PREVENT STROKE, HEART ATTACK & HEART DISEASE

13:33
Drinking beer reduces heart disease! Prevent STROKE and Heart Disease by DRINKING a Pint of BEER Everyday! Traditional beers such as ale and stout can cut the risk of heart disease, according to research. They contain a high level of antioxidants --compounds which mop up harmful chemicals thought to cause heart attacks. Scientists have already proved that wine can reduce the risk of heart disease by thinning the blood and preventing dangerous clots. A research team based at the University of Scranton, in Pennsylvania, has found that dark ales and stouts can reduce the incidence of atherosclerosis - when artery walls become furred-up with cholesterol and other fatty substances. The scientists, led by Professor Joe Vinson, believe the risk of atherosclerosis could be cut by as much as half through drinking ale. Heart disease is Britain's biggest killer, claiming around 250,000 lives each year. It accounts for one in four deaths in men and one in five in women. Professor Vinson and his team, who are presenting their findings at the International Chemical Congress of Pacific Basin Societies in Honolulu, carried out their experiments on hamsters. They gave the hamsters the equivalent of two beers a day and monitored the build-up of cholesterol in their arteries. The rate in some of the hamsters was cut by half. A separate study presented at the same congress suggests beer can cut the risk of cataracts, especially in diabetics. Can alcohol affect cholesterol? Research shows that moderate alcohol consumption can raise your “good” cholesterol levels by increasing the speeds at which proteins are transported through the body. Drinking more than what is considered moderate, however, has an opposite effect, because it can raise both cholesterol and triglyceride levels. How does beer affect cholesterol? The scientists dosed human cancer cells with resveratrol and found that the compound inhibited the key action of a cancer-feeding protein. 07. Red Wine Can Help You Fight Your DIABETES

02:20
A glass of red wine every night may help people with Type-2 diabetes manage their cholesterol and cardiac health, suggests new research. People with diabetes are more susceptible to developing cardiovascular diseases than the general population and have lower levels of "good" cholesterol, the study said. "Initiating moderate wine intake, especially red wine, among well-controlled diabetics, as part of a healthy diet, is apparently safe, and modestly decreases cardio-metabolic risk,” the study said. Additionally, both red and white wine can improve sugar control, depending on alcohol metabolism genetic profile, the findings showed. While slow alcohol-metabolisers who drank wine achieved an improvement in blood sugar control, fast alcohol-metabolisers (with much faster blood alcohol clearance) did not benefit from the ethanol's glucose control effect. The study led by researchers at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU) in Beersheba, Israel aimed to assess the effects and safety of initiating moderate alcohol consumption in diabetics, and sought to determine whether the type of wine matters. The two-year trial was performed on 224 controlled diabetes patients (aged 45 to 75), who generally abstained from alcohol. They gradually initiated moderate wine consumption, as part of a healthy diet platform, and not before driving. "Red wine was found to be superior in improving overall metabolic profiles, mainly by modestly improving the lipid profile, by increasing good (high-density lipoprotein or HDL) cholesterol, while decreasing the ratio between total cholesterol and HDL cholesterol," the study said. "The differences found between red and white wine were opposed to our original hypothesis that the beneficial effects of wine are mediated predominantly by the alcohol,” principal investigator Iris Shai said. "Approximately 150 ml of the dry red or white tested wines contained approximately 17 g ethanol and approximately 120 kilocalorie, but the red wine had seven-fold higher levels of total phenols and four to 13-fold higher levels of the specific resveratrol group compounds than the white wine,” Shai pointed out, underlining the effects of non-alcoholic constituents of red wines. The study was published in the journal Annals of Internal Medicine. Health benefits Of Drinking Whisky In Hindi. || शराब पीने से होने वाले अद्भुत फायदे Red wine, in moderation, has long been thought of as heart healthy. The alcohol and certain substances in red wine called antioxidants may help prevent heart disease by increasing levels of high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol (the "good" cholesterol) and protecting against artery damage. While the news about red wine might sound great if you enjoy a glass of red wine with your evening meal, doctors are wary of encouraging anyone to start drinking alcohol. That's because too much alcohol can have many harmful effects on your body. Still, many doctors agree that something in red wine appears to help your heart. It's possible that antioxidants, such as flavonoids or a substance called resveratrol, have heart-healthy benefits. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Follow us on social :- facebook page --- http://goo.gl/wFsYdK twitter ---- http://goo.gl/IzAn6u google + ---- http://goo.gl/LSgqKf ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DISCLAIMER: The information provided on this channel and its videos is for general purposes only and should not be considered as professional advice. LOWER TRIGLYCERIDES , 10 Steps to Lower Triglycerides

10:34
LOWER TRIGLYCERIDES , 10 Steps to Lower Triglycerides. When Triglycerides Inch Up Maybe you've put on a few extra pounds. Now your yearly blood work comes back showing high triglycerides. These fats are an important source of energy in your body, but at high levels they can hurt your heart. Like cholesterol, triglyceride troubles can lead to clogged arteries and possibly to a heart attack or stroke. Luckily, there are many ways to lower your triglycerides. Look at How You Eat That creamy latte, grilled cheese sandwich, or scoop of ice cream before bed can all lead to high triglycerides. If you often eat more calories than you burn - like many of us do - your triglycerides may start to inch up. The worst offenders are sugary foods and foods high in saturated fat, like cheese, whole milk, and red meat. Say No to Sugar If you have high triglycerides, get your sweet tooth in check. Simple sugars, especially fructose (a sugar often found in fruit), raise triglycerides. Watch out for foods made with added sugar, including soda, baked goodies, candy, most breakfast cereals, flavored yogurt, and ice cream. Uncover Hidden Sugar Learn to spot added sugars on food labels. Words to look for include brown sugar, corn syrup, words ending in "ose" (dextrose, fructose, glucose, lactose, maltose, sucrose), fruit juice concentrates, cane syrup, cane sugar, honey, malt sugar, molasses, and raw sugar. Focus on Fiber Swap out foods made with refined white flour, and bring on the whole grains. You'll eat more fiber, which helps lower your triglycerides. For breakfast, have a bowl of steel-cut oats with berries instead of a bagel or sweet cereal. At lunchtime, try a salad loaded with veggies and garbanzo beans. Choose brown rice or quinoa at dinner instead of potatoes or pasta. Eat the Right Fat A little fat is good for you, when it's the healthy kind. Choose foods that naturally contain mono- and polyunsaturated fats: avocados, walnuts, chicken without the skin, canola oil, and olive oil. Avoid trans fats, which are found in many processed foods, French fries, crackers, cakes, chips, and stick margarine. Don't eat much saturated fat, found in red meat, ice cream, cheese, and buttery baked goods. Choose Fish Instead of Red Meat The same omega-3 fats that are good for your heart can help lower your triglycerides, too. Next time you eat out, get the fish instead of a burger or steak. Eat fish at least twice a week. Salmon, mackerel, herring, lake trout, albacore tuna, and sardines are all high in omega-3s. Eat Your Nuts and Greens Other good sources of omega-3s: Walnuts Flaxseeds Spinach Kale Brussels sprouts Salad greens Beans Do You Need an Omega-3 Supplement? Ask your doctor. Capsules can give you a concentrated amount of omega-3s, but not everyone needs them. You may be able to lower triglycerides by making healthier choices in your life. And high doses of omega-3s can cause bleeding in some people. If your doctor says it's OK, look for capsules with EPA and DHA, two powerful types of omega 3 Cut Back on Alcohol. Do you unwind with wine, beer, or a cocktail? Switch to sparkling water with a squeeze of lime juice. Or try a tangy herbal iced-tea blend that tastes great without added sugar. Excess drinking is one cause of high triglycerides. That means more than one drink a day for women and two drinks a day for men. For some people, even small amounts of alcohol can raise triglycerides. Lose Weight Extra weight, particularly around your waist, raises triglycerides. One of the biggest things you can do to bring your levels down is to take it off. It doesn't have to be dramatic, either. Get Moving If you're carrying around a few extra pounds, starting regular workouts can get you in shape and lower your triglycerides at the same time. Aim for 30 minutes of exercise five days a week, and be sure to break a sweat and get your heart pumping. You can cut your triglycerides by 20% to 30%. If you're new to exercise, try a dance class, go for a swim, or take a brisk walk each day. When Habits Need a Helping Hand If lifestyle changes haven't helped enough, your doctor may suggest adding a prescription medicine. Fibrates, niacin, statins, and high-dose fish oil are a few of the options. Your doctor will look at all your blood fats -- triglycerides and all types of cholesterol -- to decide the best way to protect your heart.

Alcohol and High Blood Pressure - Effects, Treatment, Management

03:00
Alcohol and High Blood Pressure - Effects, Treatment, Management What is High Blood Pressure? http://alcoholmastery.com/alcohol-and-high-blood-pressure-effects-treatment-management/ High blood pressure has many causes, this post is primarily concerned with the relationship between alcohol and high blood pressure. Blood Pressure is the measurement of the pressure of the blood against the walls of your blood vessels. A BP monitor calculates the force of the blood from both the beating heart and the resting heart. Alcohol can cause high blood pressure (HBP) while you’re drinking, and long term heavy drinking can cause chronic high blood pressure. HBP can lead to a heart attack or heart failure, stroke, and kidney failure. Dr Brian Silver of Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, says "Somehow the binge drinking compounds [HPB] -- and more than just a little bit." Men with really HBP are at even greater risk. 6 or more drinks consumed in one sitting can quadruple the risk of having a heart attack or stroke. Dr Silver, who is also a spokesman for the American Heart Association, says “There have been studies that alcohol [consumption] can increase blood pressure 15 to 20 points. And if you start off hypertensive, raising your blood pressure 15 or 20 points probably does as much as double your risk of stroke, so this certainly fits with things we already know." What are the Symptoms of High Blood Pressure? There are really no symptoms of high blood pressure, other than it registering on a blood pressure monitor. So it is vitally important that you know this reading. High blood pressure can cause aneurysms, narrowing of the blood vessels and arteries, kidney failure, stroke, heart attack, blindness, and amputations. Treatment for High Blood Pressure The best way of controlling your blood pressure is to live a healthy life. Here’s 7 ways that you can lower your blood pressure and keep it down. Reduce alcohol intake Lose weight Exercise regularly Eat a healthy diet Reduce salt intake Reduce caffeine Stop smoking The more of these you choose to implement in your life, the better your blood pressure will be, and you’ll get the other benefits that come with a healthy lifestyle. There are also medications that can be prescribed in emergencies. Outlook The outlook for this condition depends on how much personal responsibility you take. If you go all out to change what you’re putting into your body, eliminate all the drinking and smoking, all the crappy foods and food additives, the outlook for a long and healthy life is very positive. You need to have a regular check up or get yourself a Bp Monitor to give yourself a ballpark figure. If you drink, or smoke, or eat shit foods, you can be sure it's not doing your blood pressure any good. Alcohol and high blood pressure is just another risk you're taking with heavy drinking. New Study On Red Wine Health Benefits published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition. Red Wine and Your Gut? (Interesting Study Results). Benefits Of Red Wine - Why Red Wine Can Be Super Healthy - New Study On Red Wine Health Benefits I'm sure you've probably heard that red wine can be a very healthy drink option, but you most likely only heard about the generic benefits of the antioxidants and resveratrol in red wine. But here's another MAJOR reason in this video why red wine in moderation (1-2 glasses per day max) can be a super healthy part of your routine. In this new study was reported that people who drank 2 glasses of red wine per day (dry red wine, not sugary dessert wines) had higher levels of beneficial bacteria in their gut and lower levels of pathogenic bad bacteria in their gut. This is great news as you know from reading this benefits of red wine video how vastly important your gut flora balance is to everything from your digestion, immunity, metabolism, skin health, and much more. But the powerful health benefits of red wine don't stop there... Red Wine Is Good For You - Yet another exciting part of this new study is that the red wine drinkers also decreased systolic and diastolic blood pressure, triglycerides, LDL cholesterol, and CRP (C-reactive protein). CRP is a measure of overall inflammation in your body, so it's great to see an association between red wine and reduced inflammation. The interesting part of the study is that red wine was compared against equivalent servings of gin (equivalent alcohol serving) and none of the benefits mentioned above were seen in the group consuming the gin. This means the benefits were probably related to the polyphenols and resveratrol in red wine and not necessarily the alcohol content itself, although there is likely a synergistic effect of the alcohol and other compounds in red wine since the group receiving de-alcoholized red wine got less of a blood pressure benefit. Some studies show that red wine consumed with a meal can slow and moderate the blood sugar response you get from that meal. This is yet another benefit to keeping your hormones balanced, lowering insulin levels, controlling appetite, and staying lean! Many doctors agree that something in red wine appears to help your heart. It's possible that antioxidants, such as flavonoids or a substance called resveratrol, have heart-healthy benefits. Any hardworking gal knows that kicking back with a girlfriend and a glass of red wine is a fabulous way to de-stress. The best part? But sometimes we need to know what NOT to do or eat. And, when you have very high triglycerides...there are certain foods and ingredients that you should avoid. You may know some of them...like sugars and fats. But there are other subtleties regarding what foods to avoid and why they are on the "Do Not Eat List" when you have very high triglycerides. When we have very high triglycerides, we have too much fat in our blood. That fat comes from the foods we eat, and our bodies can also make it from the extra calories in our diet. So it is important to watch what we eat. The first ingredients on our "Do Not Eat" list are certain fats—they are called the "bad fats." Trans fats are one of the worst fats out there, so you should strive to avoid these completely. On labels, they may be hiding under the name "hydrogenated" or "partially hydrogenated" oil. Fried foods, shortenings, and commercially processed junk foods may contain trans fats. The good news is the food industry has cut way back on its use of trans fat. In fact, trans fats are banned in some places. Unfortunately, manufacturers often substitute saturated fat for trans fat. Saturated fat is also a "bad fat"—read labels and limit, for example, foods with tropical oils. These include coconut, palm and palm kernel oils. The American Heart Association recommends that no more than seven percent of your daily caloric intake should come from saturated fat. No problem...there's lots of "fat-free" foods in the grocery store, right? Yes, just be careful—these usually replace fat calories with sugar calories. Why should this matter? Sugar equals calories. And if those calories are not burned immediately for energy, they are converted into triglycerides in the body. So you need to watch your intake. Read labels and limit foods with simple sugars listed in the first few ingredients: sucrose, glucose, fructose, corn syrup, honey, molasses and maltose. You will also need to avoid sugary drinks like sodas, fruit juice and the sugar packets you may like in your coffee and tea. "Refined" or white breads and pastas are all simple carbohydrates—which is a fancy way of saying sugar. These grains have had many of their nutrients stripped away during the refining process. All of these foods are easily broken down into sugars, and then stored as fat. So, that means white breads, white rice, white pastas are also on the "Do Not Eat" list. Now that you have an idea of what not to eat, one last word on what not to drink. Alcohol. Whether it is wine, liquor, or beer, alcohol can contribute to very high triglyceride levels. Alcohol adds extra calories to the diet—which we have already learned can be converted to triglycerides. Alcohol actually packs a lot more calories per gram than carbohydrates (7 calories per gram versus 4 calories per gram). Also, people tend to make poor diet choices when drinking; meaning an already indulgent dinner can easily move right into dessert! If you have very high triglycerides, it is recommended that you avoid alcohol all together. But, as a general guideline, the American Heart Association recommends no more than one drink a day for women and two drinks a day for men. Managing very high triglycerides with diet can be done. But, it requires willpower and dedication. Most of all...reduce excess calories and keep your weight in check. For some people, however, dietary changes will not be enough. That is why it is important to work with your doctor and to find an overall treatment plan that works for you. Sources: Rosenson RS. Approach to the patient with hypertriglyceridemia. How to Lower Cholesterol Naturally - Foods That Lower Cholesterol Naturally If you're already eating plenty of the following foods that lower cholesterol naturally, keep up the good work! But if your idea of eating well is to opt for the "buttered popcorn" instead of the "extra buttered popcorn," consider adding these healthy choices to your diet. Oats If you're looking to lower your cholesterol, the key may be simply changing your morning meal. Switching up your breakfast to contain two servings of oats can lower LDL ("bad") cholesterol by 5.3% in only 6 weeks. The key to this cholesterol buster is beta-glucan, a substance in oats that absorbs LDL, which your body then excretes. Banish bland oats with this dessert-worthy ginergersnap oatmeal recipe. Red wine Scientists are giving us yet another reason to drink to our health. It turns out that high-fiber Tempranillo red grapes, used to make red wine like Rioja, may actually significantly lower cholesterol levels. A study conducted by the department of metabolism and nutrition at Universidad Complutense de Madrid in Spain found that when individuals consumed the same grape supplement found in red wine, their LDL levels decreased by 9%. In addition, those who had high cholesterol going into the study saw a 12% drop in LDL. So go ahead and drink a glass for that cholesterol-lowering benefit. Salmon & fatty fish Omega-3 fats are one of the natural health wonders of the world and have been shown to ward off heart disease, dementia, and many other diseases. Now these fatty acids can add yet another health benefit to their repertoire: lowering cholesterol. According to research from Loma Linda University, replacing saturated fats with omega-3s like those found in salmon, sardines, and herring can raise good cholesterol as much as 4%. (Here's everything you need to know about buying the healthiest fish possible.) Nuts If you're looking for a snack food that lowers cholesterol levels, research shows that you should get cracking! In a study published by the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, people who noshed on 1.5 oz of whole walnuts 6 days a week for 1 month lowered their total cholesterol by 5.4% and LDL cholesterol by 9.3%. Almonds and cashews are other good options. However, while nuts are heart healthy, they're also high in calories, so practice portion control—1.5 oz is about a shot glass and a half. Use a shot glass to measure out your portion so you can see exactly how it looks. (Here's what happens if you eat too many nuts.) Tea While tea has become well known for its cancer-fighting antioxidants, it is also a great defense against high LDL cholesterol levels. According to research conducted with the USDA, black tea has been shown to reduce blood lipids by up to 10% in only 3 weeks. These findings were concluded in a larger study of how tea may also help reduce the risk of coronary heart disease. (Here's how to make the perfect cup of tea every time.) Beans Beans, beans—they really are good for your heart. Researchers at Arizona State University Polytechnic found that adding ½ cup of beans to soup lowers total cholesterol, including LDL, by up to 8%. The key to this heart-healthy food is its abundance of fiber, which has been shown to slow the rate and amount of absorption of cholesterol in certain foods. Try black, kidney, or pinto beans; each supplies about one-third of your daily fiber needs. Chocolate Yes! This powerful antioxidant helps build HDL ("good") cholesterol levels. In a 2007 study published in AJCN, participants who were given cocoa powder had a 24% increase in HDL levels over 12 weeks, compared with a 5% increase in the control group. Remember to choose the dark or bittersweet kind. Compared to milk chocolate, it has more than 3 times as many antioxidants, which prevent blood platelets from sticking together and may even keep arteries unclogged. Margarine Switching to a margarine with plant sterols, such as Promise activ or Benecol, could help lower cholesterol. Plant sterols are compounds that reduce cholesterol absorption; a study published in AJCN found that women who had a higher plant sterol–based diet were able to lower total cholesterol by 3.5%. Garlic Aside from adding zing to almost any dish, garlic makes the list of foods that lower cholesterol; it's also been found to prevent blood clots, reduce blood pressure, and protect against infections. Now research finds that it helps stop artery-clogging plaque at its earliest stage by keeping cholesterol particles from sticking to artery walls. Try for 2 to 4 fresh cloves a day. Olive oil Good news: This common cooking ingredient can help your health. Olive oil is full of heart-healthy monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFAs), which lower LDL cholesterol—and have the welcome side effect of trimming belly fat. Use it to make your own salad dressings, marinate chicken and fish, or roast vegetables.

► TOP 10 Causes Of High Blood Pressure

07:22
How I lowered my dad's blood pressure, without drugs or diets ►►http://drsam.co/yt/SeeItYourself ======================================= Top 10 Causes Of High Blood Pressure ======================================= 1. AGE Most people don’t realize that AGE is one of the BIGGEST factors for high blood pressure. I discuss this in my very important article, but what’s important to note is that after the age of 40, 33% of the population has high blood pressure and after the age of 60, over 71% of the population has hypertension! So, if you’re over the age of 40 and have high blood pressure, it may not be your fault. But it IS your responsibility to fix it right away and here is how I lowered my dad’s blood pressure naturally, in just 30 days. 2. GENETICS & FAMILY HISTORY Well, not much can be done here. This is in fact my own problem because I have a family history (on my dad’s side) of hypertension, heart attacks and especially strokes. You can read more about it, include my personal favorite solution that my dad, my family and I use to promote healthy blood pressure levels, naturally! 3. SMOKING Come on people, smoking has NO health benefits. STOP smoking! 4. ALCOHOL A little bit of alcohol is okay, especially if it’s organic red wine. But drinking every night will cause damage to your heart, arteries and liver. Alcohol is a toxic and it’s acidic, both being bad for your body. 5. BEING OVERWEIGHT Similar to smoking, being overweight has no health benefits. And the older you get, the harder it is to lose that unwanted fat. 6. SODIUM Salt has its benefits actually. Regular table salt or salt found in processed foods and packages is BAD for you. However, “natural” salts such as Himalayan rock or Celtic sea salt is GOOD for you and can actually help LOWER blood pressure. I’ll discuss this in a future article. 7. STRESS Well know stress is bad. However, you can’t get rid of it. What’s important is the MEANING you give to stressful situations. If you freak out, get negative and focus on the problem the entire time … you put your body under extra stress. The secret is to focus on the SOLUTION and to know that “this too shall pass” and worrying about the problem isn’t going to help anything… Especially our blood pressure or heart. 8. LACK OF PHYSICAL ACTIVITY We sit too much these days. Just get outside and walk daily, even if it’s just for 15-20 minutes. It’ll do wonders for your physical AND mental health! 9. MEDICAL CONDITIONS This goes back to “genetics”. And if you know you have a genetic “problem”, which is making things worse, then you MUST make changes to your life-style because your body is more sensitive than the average person. This is a similar problem with my dad and why he had a stroke. 10. MEDICATION Ironically, many “heart” medications actually cause more heart PROBLEMS in the long run. They can increase your cholesterol, blood sugar or blood pressure levels. They can decrease blood flow and circulation. And they all cause extra stress on your liver and kidneys, which then cause more problems for your heart.
