Learn how to make Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms with Johnsonville® Italian Sausage. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms WHAT YOU NEED 48 large fresh mushrooms 1 pkg. (19 oz.) Johnsonville® Italian Mild Sausage Links 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs 1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened 2 Tbsp. fresh parsley, finely chopped 1 Tbsp. lemon juice 3 garlic cloves, minced 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated PREPARATION Preheat oven to 400ºF. Remove mushroom stems and discard; set caps aside. Place mushroom caps on foil-lined baking sheets; set aside. Remove sausage casings. In a skillet, cook and crumble sausage over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Remove from heat. Stir in bread crumbs and set aside. In a bowl, combine the cream cheese, parsley, lemon juice, and garlic until smooth. Combine cream cheese mixture and sausage. Fill each cap with sausage and cream cheese mixture. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. A new family favorite! Sausage Stuffed Jumbo Portobello Mushroom Caps. COMMENT, LIKE, SUBSCRIBE, SHARE! Sausage Stuffed Jumbo Portobello Mushroom Caps Ingredients: 4 – 6 large Portobello mushroom caps, cleaned ¼ cup olive oil 2 Tbsp. Marsala cooking wine Sausage Stuffing: 1 ½ lbs. ground sausage (hot and sweet) 2 Tbsp garlic, minced (approx. 2 cloves) 1 yellow onion, chopped 2 cups baby portobello mushrooms, chopped 1 cup panko bread crumbs 1 cup Havarti cheese 1 cup parmesan cheese 2 Tbsp. parsley (fresh or dried) 1 tsp. seasoned pepper 1 tsp. chili powder ½ tsp. salt Directions: 1. Clean out the inside of the Portobello mushroom caps 2. Brush olive oil and marsala cooking wine mixture on mushrooms 3. In skillet, cook garlic, onions and baby portobello mushrooms in hot olive oil, until soft. 4. Add pepper, chili powder and salt to softened vegetables. 5. Add in ground sausage. Mix well and cook together until almost done. 6. Stir in 2/3 cup panko bread crumbs; combine thoroughly. 7. Turn off/remove from heat, and stir in cheeses and parsley; combine well allowing cheese to melt. 8. (Sneak a taste in to be sure you like it!) 9. Stuff mushroom caps with filling. 10. Spring remaining 1/3 cup panko bread crumbs on top. 11. Drizzle any remaining olive oil and marsala wine mixture over top. 12. Bake on 325 degrees, for 50 minutes. Enjoy!!! Video Cooking Demonstration and Recipe for Mushroom Caps stuffed with Pork. Tasty , unusual, budget friendly and easy. High in Protein and nutritionally sound. Do give it a try. INGREDIENTS: 40 grams passata 29 grams bread cubed 70 grams mozzarella cheese 60 grams diced bacon 270 gram large mushrooms 60 grams diced onion 300 grams lean pork mince 1 clove garlic diced 10 grams butter. Spray oil METHOD: Remove stalk from muchroom and dice, add to mince. Fry top side of Mushrooms until brown, remove from pan and keep warm. mix mince, garlic, passata and parsley and make into 4 flat patties and fry 3-4 minutes each side and remove from pan. Add butter to pan, fry off bacon and onion, add bread and place small mounds of mixture on top of patties lay cheese on top and place in oven grilll until bubbly hot and serve. If you've ever tried stuffed mushrooms, and like them, then your going to love Vito's Portobello stuffed delicacy Portobello Mushrooms Recipe: 4 large Portobello mushrooms, with stems cut out ½+cup mozzarella cheese ½ + cup cheddar cheese 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese 1/3 cup Romano 1/3 cup of Italian seasoned bread crumbs chopped ham or pepperoni, crumbled Italian sausage Various chopped vegetables such as: artichoke hearts, different colored bell peppers, onions, chunks of zucchini, diced tomatoes, etc. Italian herb mix such as basil, rosemary, bay leaves oregano and thyme, salt and pepper to taste if needed. First spray or rub the top of each washed off Portobello cap with a little olive oil. Put them in the oven underside down on a broiler pan and broil at 450 degrees for 15 minutes. This will soften them and help drain some of the moisture from the Portobello caps. Remove the caps from the oven and puncture them so that the moisture can drain. Turn them over and keep on the pan to fill and cook. Fill the cap with the cheese mixture, vegetables and meats if desired. Add herbs and salt and pepper to your taste. You can make the Portobello’s cheese only, cheese and vegetable, cheese and pepperoni, cheese and sausage or a combination of everything. Top off with Mozzarella and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Put the oven on bake at 400 and bake for 15-20 minutes. Keep an eye on it. When the cheese browns on top, the mushrooms are done. Let them cool for 5 minutes, cut with a pizza cutter and serve. In the episode where I made these I combined the cheeses and breadcrumbs, with chopped artichoke hearts and a half a stick of melted butter. I filled the caps with this mixture only and it made delicious cheesy, tangy mouth watering Portobello appetizer! Sausage Stuffed Mushroom Caps
SAUSAGE STUFFED MUSHROOM CAPS 1 lb. ground sausage (flavored is your choice) 2 celery stalks, finely diced 1 cup frozen chopped onion or 1 small onion finely diced ½ cup Italian flavored bread crumbs ½ cup grated parmesan cheese 1 ½ lbs. white mushroom or 6 Portobello mushrooms Heat the oven to 325F. Clean the mushrooms remove and chop the stems. Spray with olive oil and prepare for stuffing. In a large fry pan, brown ground sausage making sure to break it up into small pieces. When there's still a little pink in the meat, add the celery to soften. Fry for 8 minutes, then add onion. Cook for 8 more minutes then add the stems. Cook for 3 more minutes then add the bread crumbs. Remove from heat and cool slightly. When the stuffing has cooled slightly, stuff the mushroom caps and top with parmesan. Bake for 20 minutes

Chicken Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms

Roughly chop the stems. 3. Crush and mince the garlic and slice the scallions. Combine with chopped mushroom stems. 4. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add chicken sausage and cook for about 4 minutes, constantly breaking up the sausage as it cooks. 5. Add in mushroom stems, scallions and garlic. Stir and cook another 3 minutes, continuing to break up the sausage. 6. Stir in cream cheese and remove from heat. Mix in breadcrumbs, parsley and parmesan cheese. Let cool slightly. 7. Using a small spoon or your hands, stuff each mushroom cap with the filling. Place on a baking sheet and brush each stuffed mushroom with melted butter. 8. Bake for 15 minutes in the middle of the oven. Increase the temperature to 450°F and move the mushrooms to the top rack. Cook for an additional 5 minutes to crisp the tops.

Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms with Chef Greg | REC TEC Grills
Ingredients: 2 Large Button or Cremini Mushrooms 2T Olive Oil 2T Marsala Wine 1 Italian Sausage ½cup shallots, diced 1T Garlic, minced 1/2t Kosher Salt ¾ Cup Panko Bread Crumb 6oz Mascarpone Cheese 1/2cup Asiago Cheese 2T Parsley, fresh chopped • Preheat REC TEC to 375º • Remove the mushroom stem and toss in oil and Marsala wine • Cook Sausage in cast iron pan, 12-15 minutes until cooked. • Add Shallot, Garlic, Salt, Pepper, cook for 8 minutes. • Off the heat stir in the Cheeses, Bread Crumb, and Parsley. • Cool the mixture and stuff into the mushroom caps. • Cook for 35-40 minutes. *Chef Tip- try substituting the Sausage for fresh Spinach and Artichoke Hearts for a tasty vegetarian appetizer. Sausage-Stuffed Mushrooms - Lakeland Cooks!
Sausage-Stuffed Mushrooms Perfect for holiday entertaining, these warm hors d'oeuvres can be assembled a day ahead and chilled, then baked before serving. Ingredients: 3 Italian hot sausages, casings removed or 1/2 pound bulk sausage, crumbled 1 1/2 teaspoons dried oregano 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese (about 3 ounces) 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 1 8-ounce package cream cheese, room temperature 1 large egg yolk Olive oil 24 large (about 2-inch-diameter) mushrooms, stemmed 1/3 cup dry white wine or apple juice Directions: Sauté sausage and oregano in heavy large skillet over medium-high heat until sausage is cooked through and brown, breaking into small pieces with back of fork, about 7 minutes. Using slotted spoon, transfer sausage mixture to large bowl and cool. Mix in 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder, then cream cheese. Season filling with salt and pepper; mix in egg yolk. Brush 15x10x2-inch glass baking dish with olive oil to coat. Brush cavity of each mushroom cap with white wine; fill with scant 1 tablespoon filling and sprinkle with some of remaining ½ cup Parmesan cheese. Arrange mushrooms, filling side up, in prepared dish. (Can be made 1 day ahead. Cover and chill.) Preheat oven to 350°F. Bake uncovered until mushrooms are tender and filling is brown on top, about 25 minutes. Makes 24. Sue's Tips: Baby Portabella mushrooms are a good choice for this recipe.

Kim's Italian Sausage stuffed mushrooms
Chef Kim demonstrates the making of her recipe for Italian sausage stuffed mushrooms. The marinara sauce recipe is on Facebook.com/chefkimmeri. Italian sausage stuffed mushrooms yield about 15-20 mushrooms ingredients 15-20 mushrooms 3 tbsp butter 2 tbsp olive oil, approximately 1-2 tsp fresh minced garlic ¼ cup minced onion ½ - ¾ lb sweet or hot Italian sausage 1 egg 1 cup fresh breadcrumbs ¼ cup marinara sauce 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese 2 tbsp shredded Parmesan procedure Remove the stems from the mushrooms and set aside. Heat a large skillet with the butter and 1 tbsp olive oil. Once it is fairly hot, add the mushroom caps. Cook the mushrooms, turning over after the first side is browned, and continue until the caps are soft. They should definitely be browned. Don't steam them. This happens if your heat is not high enough. Also, don't over load the pan. It should be one layer of caps, you may have to do two batches, depending on the size of your pan. After they are cooked, remove them from the pan. You can use this same pan to cook the sausage and you don't need to clean it first. You can grind the mushroom stems in a food processor if you choose. You don't have to use the stems. Heat the pan again and coat it with the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Add the garlic and onion. Cook, stirring occasionally over medium to medium high heat, for a few minutes. Then add the sausage, breaking it up so it cooks evenly. Once the sausage is partially cooked, add the ground up stems. Season the sausage with salt and pepper. Remove it to a large bowl after it is cooked, draining off the excess fat. Allow it to cool for a few minutes then add the remaining ingredients, except for the Parmesan. It is best to use your hands to mix it with. You can wear plastic gloves if you desire. Once it is mixed well, taste it for additional salt and pepper. Place the mushroom caps on a baking sheet pan. Squeeze together about a tablespoon of the mixture in your hand and then and fill the mushrooms. Top each one with Parmesan. **these can be made a day ahead of time and chilled. Preheat oven to 400. Cook for about 10 minutes.

Remove stems , leaving caps whole (optional chop stems and include in stuffing). Brown sausage and set aside. Sauté finely chopped garlic and parsley in olive oil. Add grated cheese, chopped stems (if desired) and breadcrumbs. Mix well. Remove, slice and place in mushroom caps, this is optional. Sprinkle oil in baking dish so they don’t stick to the bottom. Place in baking dish, sprinkle a little more oil and bake in oven for about 20-25 minutes (depending on size of mushrooms) at 350 degrees. Garlic Parmesan-Stuffed Mushrooms
Here is what you will need! Makes 15 Ingredients 15 mushrooms 1 tablespoon canola oil 2 tablespoons chopped garlic ½ tablespoon kosher salt ½ tablespoons freshly ground black pepper 8 ounces softened cream cheese ¼ cup Italian breadcrumbs ½ cup shredded parmesan cheese, divided 2 tablespoons chopped parsley Kosher salt Freshly ground black pepper Chopped parsley, to garnish Preparation 1. Preheat oven to 350°F 2. Cut the stems off of each of the mushrooms and finely chop them, setting the mushroom caps aside for later. 3. Heat the oil in a pan over high heat. Cook the chopped stems with the garlic, salt, and pepper for about six to eight minutes, constantly stirring. Be careful not to burn the garlic. Remove from heat. 4. In a medium bowl, combine cooked stems, cream cheese, breadcrumbs, half of the parmesan, parsley, salt, and pepper, mixing until evenly combined. The mixture should be extremely thick. 5. Space out the mushroom caps evenly on a baking sheet, upside down. Spoon a generous amount of the cream cheese mixture on top of each mushroom. Top each mushroom with a sprinkle of parmesan cheese. A much younger Chef Audrey B shows you how to make her delicious stuffed mushrooms with sausage and chèvre (goat cheese). Recipe 1 pound ground pork or sausage 12-16 mushrooms (amount depends on size) 1 teaspoon dried sage 1 teaspoon dried ancho chili pepper 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1 teaspoon cumin 1 tablespoon fennel seed salt and pepper *all spices are too your taste and not really set in stone chopped fresh rosemary 8 ounces of goat cheese or cream cheese 1 cup fresh grated parmesan Preheat oven to 375ºF. Brown the pork and add the seasonings. Once browned, add the goat cheese and half of the parmesan. For the mushrooms: wash and then using a spoon remove the stem and gills. Salt the cap side of the mushroom. Fill the mushrooms and top with the remaining parmesan. Place on a rack on a cookie sheet and bake for 20 minutes at 375ºF. Broil for 5 minutes to brown the cheese a bit.

Sausage Stuffed Portobello Mushrooms Ingredients • 4 Large Portobello mushroom caps • 3 tablespoons olive oil, divided • 3 teaspoons balsamic vinegar, divided • ¾ bulk Italian sausage (chicken or turkey) • ¼ cup onion, chopped • 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped • 3 ounces sun dried tomatoes, roughly chopped • 1 cup fresh basil, roughly chopped • Sea Salt and Pepper Directions Brush dirt from the outside of the mushrooms and using a teaspoon, carefully scrape the gills from inside the cap and discard. Arrange the mushrooms in a single layer on a nonstick baking sheet. Whisk together 1 tablespoon of the olive oil and 2 teaspoons of the balsamic vinegar in a small bowl. Brush the mushrooms with the mixture, season with salt and pepper and roast them just until tender when pierced with the tip of the knife, about 5 to 7 minutes. Remove from the oven and blot any accumulated liquid from inside the mushroom caps with a paper towel. Set aside. While the mushrooms roast, heat the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a heavy skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and saute until softened, 2 minutes. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant. 1 minute additional. Add the sausage and continue cooking until the sausage is browned and cooked through. 4-5 minutes longer. Add the remaining balsamic vinegar, sun dried tomatoes, and basil. Combine well and season with Salt and pepper. Divide the sausage mixture between the 4 mushroom caps, pressing the mixture gently with the spoon to form a mound.

Italian Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms
Ingredients: 1/3 cup breadcrumbs 25-30 mushrooms 1/2 onion, chopped 3 garlic cloves, chopped 1/4 cup chopped parsley 1/2 cup parmesan cheese 1/2 cup ricotta cheese Salt and pepper to taste Instructions: Preheat oven to 375 F. Rinse mushrooms and remove stems from mushroom caps. Set aside caps and mince stems. Cook sausage in a medium sauté pan for 6-8 minutes or until browned. Remove from pan leaving oil behind. Add chopped onions, garlic and mushroom stems to pan. Cook for about one minute, then add chopped parsley. Continue cooking for 2 minutes. Add sausage back to pan and cook for an additional minute, then drain. In a large bowl mix cooked sausage, parmesan cheese, ricotta cheese and breadcrumbs. Season with salt and pepper, if needed. Using a tablespoon, fill mushroom caps with sausage mixture, putting pressure in the center to fill the middle of the caps. Place stuffed caps on a large baking sheet and bake for 12 minutes. STUFFED MUSHROOMS 12 large MONTEREY MUSHROOMS 1/2 pound ground sausage, or beef, turkey, chicken, lobster, etc. 1/4 cup onions, chopped 1 garlic clove, minced 1 tablespoon celery, chopped 1 tablespoons red or green bell pepper, chopped 3 tablespoons Gruyère cheese, grated 1 teaspoon fresh chopped parsley, or 1/8 teaspoon dried parsley 1 tablespoon plain panko bread crumbs 1. Gently clean mushrooms with a small pasty brush, or rinse quickly in a bowl of fresh cool water. Dry on clean paper towel, or kitchen towel. 2. Remove stems, carefully, from mushroom caps. Chop stems to use in mushroom filling. Place mushroom cap on baking sheet coated with olive oil. 3. Brown ground sausage in a 12-inch skillet, over medium-heat, breaking down meat into small pieces. About 3-4 minutes. Add onions, celery, bell pepper, and mushroom stems. Cook for an additional 3 minutes. Remove from heat. 4. Add Greyère cheese, parsley, and garlic. Stir well. 5. Stuff each prepared mushroom with sausage filling using a 1 tablespoon measuring spoon. 6. Top stuffed mushroom with a drizzle of olive oil, bread crumbs, and Greyère cheese. 7. Stuffed Mushrooms Recipe
Hi Guys, today I’ll show you How to Make Stuffed Mushrooms. This is a very simple and classic appetizer that you can prepare quickly. PRINT RECIPE here: https://anitacooks.com/recipe/stuffed-mushrooms/ We’ll need ½ medium red onion, 1 tablespoon chopped garlic, 2 tablespoons cream cheese, 3 tablespoons grated parmesan, ½ cup of breadcrumbs, ¼ cup chopped flat leaf parsley, these are the chopped mushroom stems from 16 mushrooms and here are the mushrooms. These are baby bellas or crimini variety. You can substitute white button mushrooms. Try to get bigger mushrooms so you can fit more stuffing into them. Wipe the mushrooms with a damp paper towel to clean them. Remove the stem, they snap right off. Save the stems and chop them into small pieces. Heat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit or 200 degrees celsius. Heat up a pan and pour in 3 tablespoons of olive oil. Add the onions and garlic, sautee until golden. Add the chopped mushroom stems, ¼ tsp salt, ¼ tsp ground black pepper and sautee until golden. Add the chopped parsley and stir. Let the mixture cool down a little, add the parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs. Add the cream cheese. It’s easiest to use your hands and break up the cream cheese. The mixture should hold together like this in clumps. It will make it easier to fill the mushrooms. Oil a baking sheet and oil the tops and bottoms of the mushrooms. Fill each mushroom cap, it’s easiest to get a clump of the mixture and gently push it into the hole. Form a mound with the stuffing. All of the mushrooms have been stuffed. Bake these at 400 degrees for 15 minutes or until the mushrooms are cooked and the stuffing is golden brown on top. The mushrooms are cooked nicely, the stuffing is a little crispy on top and very flavorful. As with most appetizers, plan on 2 to 3 per person. You can easily double this recipe.
