After Surgery Music for Dogs, Soothing Music for Dogs Post Operation, After Neutering or Spaying

01:00:18
If your dog is recovering from an operation, this music will comfort them during their recovery. Whether your dog has been neutered, spayed, or recovering from any type of surgery - use this music to soothe them. Relax My Dog are experts in creating relaxing music to help calm your dog and help dogs to sleep. Our music is composed in-house by our team of producers, and uses sound sweep technology designed to relax and calm your dog. If you dog has sleeping problems, anxiety problems or is stressed during fireworks and thunderstorms, you should try our music and watch your dog relax before your eyes! ♫♫♫ Relax My Dog Music on iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/gb/artist/relaxmydog/id439733931 Relax My Dog's music will help to calm and soothe your dog or puppy in a variety of situations. Console whimpering puppies, minimise separation anxiety, reduce hyperactivity, minimise fear of thunderstorms, stop unwanted barking, comfort sick or injured dogs and calm your dog on car journeys - Relax my Dog does it all! Relax My Dog's sound sweep technology is the high pitched noise that runs through a lot of our melodies. Many people believe that dogs hear two to three times more than humans - which isn't true. Actually, dogs hear the same as us - just two to three octaves higher. The sound sweep in our music is designed the same as a dog whistle - to hold your dogs attention to the music. Relax My Dog’s music is unique, and will help in a variety of situations as a substitute for medication. We have helped thousands of dogs and puppies worldwide to sleep and reduce their anxiety. Music therapy for your dog can keep them calm, happy and healthy, and it is a great way to rehabilitate rescue dogs - or just get your puppy or dog used to their new home. Being re-homed is an incredibly stressful time for dogs - as they have to get used to a lot of different sights and sounds, as well as their new family and any other pets in the household. We recommend that you play Relax My Dog during this time, and it will help reduce their heart rate and relax them while they explore their new surroundings. No more whimpering puppies - they will get used to your home in no time at all with the help of Relax My Dog's music! You may be crate training or obedience training, which can be a stressful time for both dog and parent, and our music will soothe your pup making your life easier. Crate training can be one of the hardest things about getting a new puppy - as being trapped in a new space and away from you is very scary for them. However, when listening to Relax My Dog you will notice your puppy start to relax, and get more used to their crate. It is also very useful to calm your dog during car journeys - which many dogs find a stressful time. They may associate it with vets visits - so we recommend playing Relax My Dog's music before and after visits to the vet to reduce their stress. The worst time of year for over 60% of dogs is Firework season - the loud bangs are really scary for them and you may notice a huge change in your dog during this time. Thunderstorms are another difficult time for dogs, with the majority of dogs being very scared of storms because of the unfamiliar loud noises. Relax My Dog is the perfect solution to this anxiety inducing situation - just play our firework and thunderstorm playlist to reduce your dogs anxiety and make them feel safe. The most common problem we hear is separation anxiety in dogs, they are pack animals and see their owners as their pack - being separated from you can cause severe anxiety in many dogs. Relax My Dog’s music has improved thousands of cases of separation anxiety and barking canines all over the world - just play them our music when you leave to go to the shops or out of the room, and you will notice a lot less barking and whimpering from your four-legged friend! So whether you have a Pug, Labrador, Pomeranian, Shi Tzu, Terrier or Great Dane - any breed can become relaxed and calm when listening to Relax My Dog. Canine Laser Spay Surgery 2012

08:11
Presenting CO2 Laser Spay surgery of a female dog who had birthed multiple litters. Replacing the conventional scalpel method, the high intensity of the laser cauterizes the blood vessels as it cuts through the tissue, resulting in less bleeding, along with sealing off the nerve endings, resulting in less pain for the patient. This video will take you through the experience of a spay done with the CO2 Laser from the first incision to the last suture. The surgery was routine and her healing successful. Due to the graphic nature of this video viewer discretion is advised.

Laparoscopic Dog Spay

05:17
A recent study concluded laparoscopic spays caused less surgical stress and up to 65% less post-operative pain than a traditional open surgical spay.* The entire surgery is performed through a few tiny incisions rather than a larger abdominal opening. Smaller incisions are less painful and reduce recovery time. Usually performed as an outpatient procedure so your pet recovers at home. Traditional open spays typically require an overnight stay. Allows for excellent visualization of abdominal organs. Controlled incisions eliminate pain and bruising caused by the tearing of tissue associated with traditional spays. In larger breed dogs gastropexy can be performed at the time of spay.

When to Spay a Female Dog: the true risks and benefits

19:19
When should you spay a dog and should you spay them at all? there are a lot of people who say the risks of spaying a female dog at any age are too great. What is the truth though? What are the real risks and benefits of spaying your female dog? The traditional , dogmatic view that all bitches should be spayed at around 6 months of age has more recently been challenge as more studies look into the risks and benefits of our female dogs undergoing this operation. Rather than make the decision easier though, the choice has become more confused. It is not as black and white as some would have you believe. If you just want my recommendations then I feel that the benefits of being spayed certainly outweigh the potential drawbacks and so all female dogs who are not going to be used for breeding should be spayed. For small breed dogs I would still recommend spaying at around 6 months old before their first season.  For larger breed dogs however, where there is no risk of them becoming pregnant and where they can be successfully managed while on heat, I recommend delaying this operation until they reach 1 year of age or a little older. Is this the right decision for you?  Well, here are the potential benefits and risks of spaying a female dog which you can discuss with your veterinarian to reach a decision you are completely comfortable with. The first benefit is a reduction in mammary cancer.  It is generally well accepted that the earlier a bitch is spayed, the lower it's chance is of getting mammary cancer.  It is said that if spayed before their first season a dogs chance of getting this disease is reduced by around 99.5%.  If spayed before their second season the risk still falls by about 94% and if before their third season by a respectable 75% Spaying a bitch at any age will virtually eliminate the risk of pyometra.  This is a life-threatening condition that affects 1 in 4 entire females by the age of 10 and generally requires emergency surgery to cure.  Even with treatment 5% of dogs will die and without treatment death is an almost certainty.Another very significant disease prevented by spaying. Video - the emergency pyometra: https://youtu.be/Fuvq-QSx6Fo Our final major benefit of spaying is an increase in life expectancy.  On average it seems that spayed females live on average 26% longer than their entire counterparts There are still some other benefits of spaying your dog however which include: - Preventing uterine and ovarian tumors, although these are very rare - Eliminating pregnancy related problems and the risk of cesarian section.  These can be fairly common in certain breeds - Reducing sexually transmitted diseases such as Brucella and Transmissible Venerial Tumors. My final benefit of spaying is a benefit to the population as a whole rather than an individual.  Every year around 1.5 MILLION animals are killed in US shelters. In Australia an estimated 200,000 animals are killed every year and in the UK this number is around 20,000. So those are the benefits but what are the side-effects and risks of being spayed and do these risks vary depending on what age a female dog is spayed?  Well there are some risks to spaying a female dog and some of these are more serious than others.  As for whether these downsides outweigh the benefits, that is up to you. The risks include incontinence, some ligament injuries, weight gain, some cancers, and finally certain autoimmune diseases. A Golden Retriever has open pyometra

07:18
Bloody vaginal discharge in this 9-year-old Golden Retriever. Abdominal distension. I palpated uterine swelling of around 2-8 cm wide but there was no abdominal pain. Lethargy. Blood test showed neutrophilia, leukocytosis and thrombocytopenia. This indicated septicaemia. The owner did not want any spaying and the dog went home after IV drip and medication. The vaginal discharge had diminished in amount. The very next day, the dog vomited and more bloody vaginal discharge. I advised an emergency spay as the owner wanted to wait the next day as she needed transport. "It may be too late for the dog," I said. "Now she is still alert after yesterday's IV drip and treatment." So, in the afternoon of Day 2, Dr Daniel spayed the dog. The uterus + pus weighed 1.4 kg in this 25.5-kg dog much loved by the lady owner. No more abdominal distension and appetite returned. The dog looked much better and went home on Day 4. As at April 2, 2014, around one week later, the dog is well and everybody is happy. My advice is to spay the female dog young, avoiding the drama, higher medical costs and emotional distress when a beloved senior dog suffers from pyometra Good video done by intern as part of her hands-on internship. Ending is abrupt. I spent many hours of discussion with her. I would have preferred some videos of the dog going home to end the movie. A happy ending but this was not shown. . Dog Healing - Accelerated Healing, Deep Relaxation and Sleep Aid with River Stream and Classical

01:07:26
Frequencies used: 1.0HZ, 1.5HZ, 7.83HZ This uses sine waves and subliminal nature sounds to help consciously and sub-consciously induce deep relaxation, deep breathing and an accelerated healing rate. 1HZ is associated with relief and healing stiff Muscles, Muscle pain (due to injury), Tendomyopathy, and stimulation of the Pituitary gland among many other healing properties. 1.5HZ is known as a Universal Healing Rate and is known to help relieve and heal Muscle pain and stiff Muscles, Arthritis, and Inflammation among other effects. 7.83HZ is the resonance of Earth, or Schumann Resonance. It is commonly used for: Accelerated healing, deep Relaxation, Nervousness, Hypertension, Insomnia, Headaches, Vertigo, frequency fatigue, Kundalini awakening and overall wellness among innumerable other health benefits. Rondo Alla Turca - Beethoven is playing in the background and is tuned to 432HZ. Before anyone questions or mentions this: This is a Midi tablature which I have slowed down to 12 BPM. It is not a perfect tab, and I am well aware of this. It is fed through a basic VST for the Piano sounds. The intention was for it to be used for dogs, and I highly doubt they will notice any imperfections. When playing this please use a comfortable volume because the last thing we want to do is damage your dog's delicate ears. This has been tested on my own dog, it has shown to be effective and he absolutely loves it. The nature sounds are licensed by Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/ Special thank you for Caroline Ford for recording the flowing water. As part of the agreement for usage I must indicate that I have made changes to the original recording by splitting and trimming it, while reversing and looping certain parts. Osteopathic treatment of spay adhesions in a young dog

05:33
Ella is a 1-year-old Golden Retriever who was spayed approximately 4 months prior. She has no lameness and no current problems. Treatment of the normal internal scar or adhesion after her spay surgery will reset the balance to her pelvic bones, shoulders and some spinal vertebrae - ensuring optimum mobility as she ages. Upon evaluation of her gait, there is no lameness however very subtle short striding of her LEFT front leg is perceptible with close observation. This short striding is not present at the end, after the treatment of her spay adhesion. Visit www.taylorholisticvet.ca/video-dogs for more information.

Dog Surgery Recovery- 7 Ways to Get a Dog to Eat

02:39
After surgery dogs experience grogginess, pain, and nausea. In this state, food can seem unappealing. A dog not eating after surgery is normal, but not ideal. If you have a dog that will not eat after surgery, learn more about what to do at: http://boneo.bio-rep.com/blog/dog-health/343/7-ways-to-help-a-dog-not-eating-after-surgery Dog Surgery Recovery- 7 Ways to Get a Dog to Eat: Warm it up: If your dog won't eat after surgery, try adding warm water to your dog’s kibble to soften it, making it easier to eat. You can also microwave the food for a few seconds to enhance the smell. Make sure the food isn’t too hot or it can burn your dog! Add flavor: Add a few spoonfuls of low sodium beef or chicken broth to give your dog’s food a meaty flavor that’s irresistible. Use canned food!: If your dog usually doesn’t get canned food, give it to him as a treat after surgery. He will be so excited, he’ll forget he didn’t want to eat! Hand feed kibble: If your dog is really resisting eating after surgery and nothing you try seems to work, you should hand feed him as much kibble as he will eat. A little t.l.c goes a long way for a hurting pup. Add eggs to your dog’s food: Cooked eggs add flavor to your dog’s food while also adding protein that can be useful in recovery. Try crumbling some cooked yolk on top of your dog’s kibble for a tasty treat. Add shredded chicken: Cooked shredded chicken, like eggs, can be a tasty protein packed addition. Make sure to use all white meat and remove the bones, so your dog doesn’t choke. Don’t force your dog to eat: If your dog won’t eat, don’t force it. Leave his food out overnight, he may feel better later and want to eat. If your dog doesn’t eat within 24 hours after surgery be sure to contact your veterinarian. An 11-year-old female Maltese has pyometra

06:12
Feb 11, 2016. Pyometra is a bacterial infection of the womb. This is veterinary educational video to teach vet students and dog owners. This old Maltese had passed black vaginal discharge for the past few days. She has a very painful swollen abdomen indicated a womb filled with pus. Diagnosis is pyometra. The rectal temperature is very low at around 35 deg. This dog is septicaemic and anemic. The owner was advised on an IV drip with antibiotics and spay the next day after the dog is stabilised. Chances of survival are below 50%. The owner decided to bring the dog home with medication. Spaying the female dog when she is young will have prevented this situation..

370,000 Reasons to Spay and Neuter | An Animated Short

01:44
Should you really spay or neuter your cat or dog? What difference does one animal make? A lot, actually: One female cat and her offspring can pave the way to the births of 370,000 cats in just seven years! Spaying and neutering is the single best thing that you can do to help solve the dog and cat overpopulation crisis. Spaying and neutering procedures are routine and affordable and can prevent hundreds of thousands of animals from being born into a world that tragically has no place for them. "Fixed" animals also live longer and are far less likely to develop (or are immune from) certain types of cancer and other diseases, and neutered males are less likely to run off. Communities spend millions of dollars coping with the dog and cat overpopulation crisis. The one-time cost of spaying or neutering is far lower than the expense involved in rounding up strays, feeding and housing abandoned animals, and euthanizing those for whom homes can't be found. To find a low-cost spay/neuter clinic near you, call 1-800-248-SPAY, and for help getting spay and neuter ordinances enacted in your community, check out PETA's free guide to passing animal-friendly legislation: http://www.peta.org/action/activism-guide/passing-legislation/. Alaskan Malamute Sheru got Neutered | Is Surgery Castration is Good for your Pet?

12:34
Sheru the Alaskan Malamute got Neutered | Is Surgery Castration is Good for your Pet? Our Alaskan Malamute "Sheru" is 3 years old weighed 98 lbs. and he went for Surgery Castration (Neuter) on 6/17/2015 @9:00AM we dropped him at Veterinary clinic and we picked him up @4:30PM, he was really sad. He is doing good, his stitches will be removed on 7/1/2015. I know many peoples likes to know how the recovery went and etc.. so anyone have any questions please don't hesitate to write or share, Thank You. Please do the following, you as a owner you know the best what your pet likes to eat or drink: When you bring your pet home he doesn't wants to eat or drink because he is scared, if you give him a piece of ice or even couple drops of water he won't because he thinks that his throat going to hurt (during surgery they put breathing tube in his throat) We brought Sheru home @4:45PM and next 2 hours he didn't drink or eat. Then we gave him his favorite drink and food.......it worked LIKE MAGIC. Drink: Milk Food: Chicken McNuggets from McDonald About 9:30PM more nuggets with Basmati plane Rice (mixed together) he ate then gave him pain killer (medicine) he went to sleep and I stayed all night with him at 2:30AM he woke up took him in backyard he did pee and then eat couple of more nuggets then went to sleep again. At 5:10AM woke up and took him in backyard for poop he did it, gave him duck treat he eat went to sleep again. NEXT day made his favorite Chicken and Rice. He is doing really well. These two sterilization procedures are done under general anesthesia, with your pet fully asleep and intubated (with a breathing tube in his or her throat). Before receiving general anesthesia, your pet is given a shot of medication to make him sleepy and to help with pain. Your pet's oxygen level and heart rate are monitored with a machine while he is under anesthesia. Dogs are kept on a heating blanket during surgery. Male dogs (neuter) have an incision made in the skin at the base of the penis nearest to the scrotum (the skin that holds the testicles). Both testicles are removed through this incision. The incision is closed with stitches under the skin that will dissolve and be absorbed by the body over time. The skin is closed with skin glue, skin staples, or stitches. Being re-homed is an incredibly stressful time for animals - as they have to get used to a lot of different sights and sounds, as well as their new family and any other pets in the household. We recommend that you play Pet Tunes music during this time, and it will help reduce their heart rate and relax them while they explore their new surroundings. Other cases where Pet Tunes can help is in the car, some animals become nervous when being driven, or even if your pet suspects that they are on the way to vets, get the YouTube app on and play it in the car to keep your pet happy and calm all the time. Guinea Pig Songs: https://goo.gl/yuj4UC Normally, a stressed guinea pig will show signs of irritability and more aggressive displays of behaviour, such as head tossing, fidgeting, or teeth-baring. A depressed guinea pig, on the other hand, will become very listless and not display much energy. If you catch your guinea pig vibrating or trembling, this signifies a good thing. Guinea pigs frequently convey their cheerful moods through giving off deep vibrating noises. Pet Tunes Guinea Pig music is sure to make them vibrate with happiness, and help you to bond with your Guinea Pig as their anxiety disappears. Rat Songs Playlist: https://goo.gl/6BVtRl Pet Tunes Rat music will help rats of any age become domesticated and stop any fear relating to human interaction. Domestic rats are born tame, but they still need to be socialized to bond to humans. Rats who were not properly socialized as babies will often exhibit fear toward humans. But even these rats can be quickly rehabilitated using a method called Trust Training, and this training paired with Pet tunes music will iron out any issues in no time. Cat Songs Playlist: https://goo.gl/pHJQVZ Pet Tunes cat music will help to calm and soothe your cat or kitten in a variety of situations. Our cat music is based on feline vocal communication and environmental sounds that pique the interest of cats; it is written in a musical language that is uniquely designed to appeal to the domestic cat. All of the music is recorded on traditional instruments and the human voice. Chinchilla Songs Playlist: https://goo.gl/X76mIQ Our Chinchilla music will help during the training and handling process for your Chinchilla to bond with you and become the perfect household pet. It’s important to introduce them to handling very gradually and gently, and in association with positive experiences so that they never feel threatened. It’s best to do this in the evening when chinchillas are naturally awake, and to help the process play Pet Tunes Chinchilla music. Hamster Songs: https://goo.gl/Kyot9r There are several different breeds and varieties of hamster, varying in size and temperament. Hamsters are nocturnal so they spend most of the day sleeping and become active in the evening and at night. If you need to calm down your hamster during the evening this music is perfect, if your hamster is poorly or injured it will help to soothe them by bringing down their heart rate and blood pressure. Rabbit Songs: https://goo.gl/5OVytH Whether you need to calm down your bunny, your rabbit is poorly or they are suffering with behavioural issues - this music will help to calm and soothe them and get them back to their normal self. ► Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/pet_tunes

This is Bree, a young to middle-aged chihuahua who was at the pound and scheduled to be euthanized due to a large tumor on her abdomen. Luckily she was brought to Vet Ranch where Dr. Matt found out it was NOT a tumor, but actually a hernia in her abdominal muscles that allowed her intestines to squeeze out of her abdomen. Her ENTIRE treatment was funded by our RIDICULOUSLY AWESOME viewers. She would have definitely been euthanized if not for you. THANK YOU for making this channel a reality. Canine Ear Hematoma | Cessna Lifeline | Surgery

21:06
http://www.cessnalifeline.com/ Canine aural hematoma is caused when blood accumulates within the cartilage layers (flap or pinna) of the dogs ears. It is also known as Pillow ear, Auricular hematoma or Aural hematoma. In aural hematoma, mild swelling and fluid filled swellings appear on the pinna (floppy part of the ear). The dog scratches and shakes its head which may resemble a possible ear mite infection or accumulation of a foreign body and shows discomfort and irritation. CAUSES There are various causes which can lead to aural hematoma. They are: › An ear infection › Ear mites infection (Otodectic Mange) › Excess scratching (which leads to rupture of blood vessels within the ear) › Injury on the flap or pinna SYMPTOMS Symptoms seen are: › Head shaking › Pain › Discomfort › Mild swelling of the ear flap or pinna › Fluid accumulation on parts of the ear › Fluid accumulation on the entire ear DIAGNOSIS Veterinarians will require a complete history of your dog which includes medical history, vaccination records, existing health concerns, current and previous medications, onset of symptoms, diet and exercise routine and any information which can help in establishing a correct diagnosis. › Physical examination – this involves a complete ear (otoscopic) examination, looking for any foreign body, mites infestation, internal injury, swelling, ruptures, bacterial or fungal infections, tumors and abscess › Complete Blood Count (CBC) › Needle aspiration of tumors › Needle aspiration of abscess (abscess is yellow pus whereas hematoma is bloody) TREATMENT Treatment is one or a combination of techniques. This depends on the causative agent involved in hematoma. This includes: › Antibacterial medications › Anti-fungal medications › Medications for treatment of secondary causes (mites, infections) › Treatment of wounds, tumors, scars, ruptures › Antibiotic medications Veterinarians will opt for: › Fluid drainage (this needs to be done multiple times as there are high chances of recurrence) › Surgical procedures › Use of Elizabethan collar (this restricts a pet from scratching its ear) PREVENTION There is no prevention for Aural hematoma. This is not a disease by itself but a secondary result from conditions such as wounds, injury, infections etc. HOME CARE & LIVING Treatment takes anywhere between a few days to weeks. Supportive care and a complete dosage will lead to a speedy and successful recovery. You have to administer and monitor all prescribed medicines as directed by your veterinarian. If you observe any behavioral changes or if the condition does not improve, please contact your veterinarian immediately. › Provide a stress-free environment for your pet. Keep water and food bowls within reach, avoid exercise and physical activity, keep away from noise and any kind of commotion. Do not travel with pets. › Routine and regular checkups to access the progress (for fluid drainage, ear cleaning, medications) › Exercise caution when dealing with pets. Daily cleaning and vacuuming, disposal of materials such as bandages, cotton swabs used for abscess or by ear secretions. Wear gloves and wash your hands thoroughly. Using disinfectants and proper hygiene protocols are strongly advised. If left untreated, this may cause permanent damage to the ear leading to deafness (loss of hearing) www.cessnalifeline.com www.cessnapetstore.in

Should I get my dog neutered?

05:25
So you've got a male do, a male puppy, should you get them neutered or not. Now for many years I've been an absolutely avid advocate of getting all male dogs neutered. I've been talking about it in the media and stressing the importance of that. The main reason for that is for population control, There are way too many dogs in this world and the way to stop that is to neuter and spay male and female dogs. So, that's been the over writing reason why for many years I've been a very strong advocate of neutering and spaying of pets. However, things have changed slightly and it's important to be specific about the change and I would still be a very strong advocate of neutering of most male dogs but I would be saying this now a days, do it on an individual basis. Don't just say blank, universal, every male dog should be neutered, when they're six months of age. It's different now, you have to look to the individual and why do you have to look to the individual? Well let's look at the pros and cons of neutering of male dogs . The pros to these, first of all, your male dog will not be able to breed anymore so you will not contribute to the massive number of unwanted puppies, that's number one. Number two, male dogs they don't have the same sexual habits, and what that means is they don't do things like chasing after bitches in season, I know some male dogs who if there is a bitch in season two miles away they'll be gone, they'll find a way out of their home, they'll dig a hole under a gate, they'll spot a crack in the door when somebody is coming in and they'll bolt so male dogs who aren't neutered tend to run away and get themselves into trouble and cause trouble for others, so that's the second reason, okay. The third reason is male dogs tend to be more aggressive to other male dogs. So male dogs are more likely to get into fights and that can be troublesome for lots of people. The fourth reason is that male dogs tend to cock their leg everywhere, they mark their territory, their testosterone in their body drives them to mark their territory with urine that means they lift their leg where ever they go and I often see it here at the vet clinic, a little dog will come in and he’ll cock his leg at the door, he’ll walk on the consult table and cock his leg at the consult table. They just keep doing it, if their neutered that behavior stops, so that’s a great deal for many folk. And the fifth thing is neutering protects male dogs from all sorts of medical conditions. Examples include testicular tumors, obviously the testicles are removed, they can’t get tumors on them anymore, inguinal hernias, and these are the hernias that happen in the groin area and perineal hernias that happen under the tail. Prostate disease, inflamed prostate gland and prostatic abscesses, it’s kind of a long list of diseases, that are prevented or minimized by neutering male dogs, indeed if dogs get these conditions one of the main treatments is to castrate them. So that’s the final group of reasons if you like why it’s important to get male dogs neutered but what about the negatives and that’s what I need to talk about now because these are some new things. The first thing is, the male dogs who are neutered are more likely to put on weight. It’s not inevitable; my own male dogs have always been neutered and they’ve always been very slim. It’s just is that if the dog is neutered they are more likely to, so if somebody is relaxed they are prone to give their dog many treats where as they can get away with doing that often with an entire male dog, if a male dog is neutered, they are more likely to get fat. So that’s something important to realize, the second thing is that are some diseases that are more common when a male dog is neutered and examples will be an under active thyroid gland, for dogs as they get much older there is a slightly increased risk of senile changes in their brain. Now I say that but in practice it’s an incidence which increases over tens of thousands of dogs so it’s not something that you see inevitably by any means, it’s just something they are aware of in big studies, okay. The third thing is there are some tumors which are actually more common in male dogs that are neutered in particular osseous sarcoidosis of big dogs or like giant dogs so if those dogs are neutered when they are young the incidents of those type of cancers goes up so for that reason we’re now starting to say for large breed dogs you should, if you’re going to neuter them you should wait until they are a year an a half of age. Overall though what I’d say is this is something you should talk to your vet about because it should be done on an individual basis. There are some male dogs that people bring to me an example would be a little male terrier dog whose 8 months old and he’s cock his leg on everything, he’s humping people’s leg and they tell me that he is aggressive with dogs when he goes out.

Hannah's Journey

06:48
We first met Hannah during Operation Potcake which was a mass spay & neuter program done in The Bahamas. She was practically hairless and had venereal cancer. She woke up from surgery wagging her tail despite being caged, driven to a strange place with strange people and having surgery. We all fell for her, none more than Monica who was here with OP as a volunteer from Seattle. After a bit of consideration and negotiation with her "owners" by Hannah Wareham, she was fostered by me for a couple months while her skin and venereal cancer were treated at Palmdale Vet. In April Hannah and I made the journey to Seattle to finally be reunited with Monica and to move into her furever home with her brother Murphy. This is my first attempt at making a video like this. I guess it'll do.
