Medicare Supplements - 5 Things To Know Before You Buy A Medicare Supplemental Policy

07:00
Call (888) 310-0376 to Compare All Medicare Supplement Plans in Your State. Get Instant Access http://free-mini-course.com I explain 5 things you should know about Medicare Supplements before you buy. As far as Medicare Plans go, Medicare supplemental coverage is a little easier to understand than Medicare Advantage. So what is Medicare supplement insurance and how does it work? Medicare supplemental insurance is also known as Medigap. It is private health insurance designed to supplement original Medicare by helping to pay some of your share of costs for Medicare-covered services. Medicare supplement plans are standardized insurance policies and are designated by the letters A through N. Standardization means that the same plan will generally have identical benefits no matter which company sells it. The second thing you should be aware of is that Medicare supplements are different than Medicare Advantage plans. While a Medigap policy pays your share of costs after Medicare pays, an Advantage Plan is another way to get your Medicare benefits and these benefits are paid by the plan. Medicare Advantage Plans are often PPOs or HMOs and require you to receive services from network providers. Medicare supplement policies on the other hand allow you in most cases (except Medicare Select) to choose your own providers without network restrictions. You cannot be canceled from your supplement unless you stop paying premiums. Advantage Plans are good for one year and require you to renew annually. Get Instant Access - http://free-mini-course.com - Unlock the information you need to choose the best plan for your circumstances. The third thing you should know is when you can buy a Medicare supplement. The best time to buy is during your Medigap Open Enrollment Period which lasts for 6 months and begins when you are both 65 or older and eligible for Part B. This in the best time to buy because an insurance company cannot: Refuse to sell you any policy it sells Make you wait for coverage Charge you more due to health problems Another time to get Medicare supplemental coverage is when you are entitled to Guaranteed Issue Rights. These rights are triggered by a change in your circumstances, such as; your Medicare Advantage Plan leaving Medicare or not renewing for the following year or your employer or Union group insurance is ending. The fourth thing you should know is how to compare Medicare Supplement Plans. Standardization make comparing plans easy. Once you look at the Medicare supplement benefits chart you will be able to see what is covered by each plan and then compare that plan across several companies. Fifth, you need to be aware that Medicare supplement rates can vary widely between plans. It's not uncommon to see $100 or more difference in monthly premiums for the same plan. Plans that are worthy of consideration include Medicare supplement Plan F and Plan N. Plan F is the most popular nationally and the most comprehensive. Medicare supplement Plan N is a good option if you can handle a little out-of-pocket expense. When comparing Medicare supplement policies remember that the best Medicare supplement is the one that fits your budget and gives you the most bang for your buck.

Compare Medicare Supplement Plans: Differences Between Carriers & Plans

03:15
https://www.medicarefaq.com/videos/compare-medicare-supplement-plans Compare Medicare Supplement Plans: Differences Between Carriers & Plans If you are newly eligible for Medicare, you may not understand that Medicare doesn’t cover all of your health care costs. Part A covers hospitals, and you have a deductible; and part B covers doctor visits, and you also have a deductible with your part B. Then Medicare will cover 80% of your medically necessary healthcare costs. So, choosing a Medicare supplement, or a Medigap plan covers that 20% that Medicare doesn’t cover, and those deductibles. So, the standardized Medicare supplements are letter plans, letter plans A through N. The most comprehensive plan is the letter plan G, which covers all your Medicare co-insurances, covers your hospital deductible. The only thing that plan G doesn’t cover is your part B deductible. Medicare Advantage VS Medicare Supplement An alternative to getting Medicare supplement is a Medicare Advantage Plan. A Medicare Advantage Plan replaces your Medicare with a managed care, HMO and PPO, that is somewhat limiting because you have a network of doctors, and you have co-pays and co-insurances throughout the year. Choosing a Medicare supplement or Medigap Plan over a Managed Care, HMO, or PPO has a lot of advantages. You have the freedom of choosing any doctor that accepts Medicare, any hospital that accepts Medicare nationwide and you can travel, and go on vacation, and use your Medicare supplement in other states. It’s also guaranteed renewable as long as you keep paying the premium. Open Enrollment Now, the best time to enroll in a Medicare supplement is during that one in a lifetime open enrolment opportunity, which is 3 months prior the month of, and 3 months after your 65th birthday. You can certainly apply for a Medicare supplement outside of this window, but an insurer can decline you for certain health conditions or age. Now because the Medicare supplements are standardized plans, they are identical to each other, there’s no difference in coverage. The only thing that isn’t identical is the price or the premium, and the insurance company that you chose. So, it doesn’t make sense to pay more for the same coverage. However, comparing the plans and the companies, can be very confusing, and sometimes time consuming. Seniors are so relieved after they speak with a licensed agent here at Medicare FAQ. Top Rated Insurance Companies Our agents have the ability and technology to research all the Medigap plans with dozens of top rated insurance companies. This is why our clients stay with us year after year. This is an important decision, and at Medicare FAQ helps educate the client, putting all of the puzzle pieces together. So, the Medicare supplements, the Medigap Insurance, is the truest form of health insurance when you are on Medicare. What Are The Best Medicare Supplement Plans (Medigap) In 2018?

08:32
Best Medicare supplement plans. Get a free quote: http://medicaresavingscenter.com or call 800-208-4974. This video explains what the best Medicare supplement plans are in 2018. There was a change in benefits for 2017 on the Medicare level; the Part B deductible went from $166 (in 2016) to $183 in 2017. This did affect all Medigap plans and not just the plans that don't cover the Part B deductible. The premiums on Plan F will have to increase to cover this change as the insurance companies will have to pay for the difference in benefit. In 2018, the best Medicare supplemental insurance plans are plan F, G and N. Plan G is the #1 plan with plan N and F as runner ups. If you are in CA or another state that has a birthday rule, then going with Plan F to start is usually a good idea. Please refer to my video about Medicare supplement plans in California if you are a resident there. The lower rates and most importantly lower rate increases on Plan G and N make these plans far more superior over Plan F. In almost every case the premium difference between F and G more than covers the only benefit difference which is $183 for the year. For example, the most you would pay out of pocket for the year with Plan G is $183 and the premium difference between F and G is almost always more than $183, thus saving you money. The best way to save money is to allow us to shop the rates for you and ensure you will not be overpaying for your supplement plan. IN addition, by being one of our clients you will have the benefit of annual rate reviews to ensure you will not be in the situation in the future where you are overpaying! As the rates go up over time, the best defense is a broker (us) who will shop the rate each year. Call us at 800-208-4974 for a FREE quote comparison. Medicare Supplement Plan G vs F vs N (What's Changing?)

Medigap Plan G. I discuss what you need to know about Medicare supplement Plan G vs Plan F and Plan N. I also compare Medicare supplement Plan G vs Plan N and Plan F. I compare Medicare supplements (aka Medigap Plans) to help you make an informed decision about which Medicare supplement is best for you. For most people turning 65, Medicare supplement Plan G will offer the best value today. However, there are changes in the relationship between Medicare supplement Plan G and Medigap Plan F and Plan N that you should be aware of before you make a decision. In this video, I will show you these changes and discuss how they may impact your decision making as you decide if the Plan G Medicare supplement is right for you. This is for two reasons – first; because the previously popular plans Medicare supplement Plan F and Plan C are being phased out as of January 2020. Second, Medicare supplement Plan G is usually a lower premium AND a better value. Most people shopping for a Medigap Plan today find Medicare supplement Plan G as their best value. Let’s take a quick look at the Medicare supplement plans so you can see why: . In the column below the Plan letter you can see the percentage of insurance coverage offered by that plan. For example; Medigap Plan F show 100% coverage in each category all the way down. That means that Medicare supplement plan F covers 100% of all the co-pays and deductibles that you would normally have to pay with Medicare Part A (inpatient hospital coverage) and Medicare Part B (outpatient coverage). It’s a great plan and would be an easy decision for many people entering Medicare, except that it is being phased out in January 2020 and Plan G usually offers equal benefits for less money. Take a look -- Medicare supplement Plan G has all the same benefits except this row right here: Medicare Part B deductible. That is a calendar year annual deductible. It resets every January 01. It can change every year. In 2017 it’s just $183. We expect it to increase to $250 over the next five to seven years. That’s it. All you pay is the annual Medicare Part B annual deductible and your premium. Other than that, Medicare and your Medigap Plan G pay all your Medicare related in-patient and outpatient expenses. The math here is simple, if Plan G is $183 less in premiums per year, then it would be exactly equal to Plan G. You pay the $183 deductible out of pocket, then you have all the same benefits as a Plan F. However, Medicare Supplement Plan G is usually $300 to $400 a year less in premiums than a Medigap Plan F. That means you can pay the $183 Medicare part B deductible out of pocket and have money left over. That makes it a better value. People considering a Medigap Plan G often compare the price and benefits to a Medigap Plan N. Plan N usually cost much less than Plan G, but there is a catch! In fact, Medicare supplement Plan N can cost 25% to 35% less than a Medigap Plan G. However, Plan N has less coverage and an asterisks you need to be aware of. Just like with Medigap Plan G, with Medigap Plan N you pay that Medicare Part B deductible out of pocket. The asterisks indicate that you will also pay a small co-pay of up to $20 when you see a doctor, $50 for an emergency room visit. Medicare supplement Plan G is for those who want peace-of-mind. Once you have a Plan G you don’t have to worry about co-pays or excess charges or anything. You can see any doctor, whether they charge excess charges or not. You pay a little extra, but you have peace-of-mind that your healthcare is taken care of. for Part D drug plan info visit: http://www.medicare.gov Also visit : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medigap Get your Medicare Guide to supplements here: https://www.medicare.gov/Pubs/pdf/02110-Medicare-Medigap.guide.pdf And your Medicare & You Guide here: https://www.medicare.gov/pubs/pdf/10050-Medicare-and-You.pdf

Medigap Plan G - 877-88KEITH (53484)

Medigap Plan G. Complete Medicare Resource Center here: http://www.medsupsavings.com/ 877-88KEITH (53484) Best Medicare Supplement Plan: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WGqCGQNF5mw Medicare Plan F – Just Say NO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0OE29IMXbNU Medicare Plan N - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vORbZsWDrzg Medigap Plan G Explained: Coverage and Cost Details You Need to Know Medigap Plan G is one of several comprehensive supplement insurance plans to help with uncovered costs not paid by Medicare. This plan is usually purchased when you sign up for Medicare Part A and B coverage. There are other supplement plans providing similar coverage for those with Medicare plans. This supplement plan provides an option that allows beneficiaries to save throughout the year on medical costs when they satisfy their deductible. This plan is commonly compared to other supplement plans including Medigap Plan F. What Medigap Plan G Covers This plan is similar to Plan F except it does not pay the deductible in Part B coverage. Plan G helps cover coinsurance, out-of-pocket costs, excess charges and copayments. Services that Plan G pays in full includes Part A deductible, Part A copayment and coinsurance for hospice care, Part B copayment or coinsurance, Part B preventative care coinsurance, Part B excess, and the first three pints of blood. Foreign travel insurance is also available up to specified policy limit. Plan G also covers hospital costs and coinsurance for a year (365 days) after Medicare exhausts payments. This plan along with Plan F is the only supplement insurance options to cover all excess expenses up to 100 percent. The excess payment is often the responsibility of the patient; these costs are passed to the patient when Medicare is not accepted as a form of payment for services. Plan G Supplement Option and Availablity The premium payment for Medigap Plan G may be higher than other supplement options. This can be a good thing for some people as the plan itself helps pay more of what Medicare doesn’t cover. The premium payment for the plan may be higher, but the plan itself is standardize. This means other companies offering this coverage have to keep terms similar in nature according to federal regulations. The insurer sets the rate you pay but it should be about the same as other companies due to standardizing. Upon satisfying your deductible you pay 20 percent of costs for supplies and services for Part B. Part B has a premium payment paid monthly that is separate from the premium paid with Plan G. The Plan G policy can be obtained in your home state but rates may differ depending on company. Some states may not have this supplement insurance plan available as they are under no obligation to offer it. To learn more about this plan you can contact a licensed insurance agent or contact Medicare for more information. There is detailed information you can review about other supplement insurance plans to help you make an informed decision. It is recommended to sign up for supplement insurance when signing up for Medicare Part A and B. Most cases you are required to have Part A and B coverage before you can enroll. When comparing supplement plans pay close attention to services and costs they cover. ================================================== QUICK AND EASY MEDICARE SUPPLEMENT QUOTES http://www.medsupsavings.com/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Med-Sup-Savings/1709195569306815 Twitter: https://twitter.com/MedSupSavings LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/pub/keith-armbrecht/5/11b/3a0 YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/BigHealthGreatWealth

Medicare Supplement Plans 2018 | What Do I Need to Do?

08:33
http://SeniorSavingsNetwork.org 1-800-729-9590 2018 Medicare Supplement Plans | What Do I Need to Do? If you are on a Medicare Supplement plan, this end-of-the-year Medicare season has nothing to do with you, except for the need you have to shop your drug plan. Medicare Supplements (not to be confused with Medicare "Advantage" plan), do not change benefits and you cannot be canceled from such a plan. Your Medicare Supplement, whether Plan G, Plan F, Plan N, etc. will remain with the same benefits as when you signed up. What can change? The rates. If you are notified of a rate increase, you can shop your Medicare Supplement plan ANY time of the year, not just in October, November, or December of each year. You are in complete control and there is not a "season" for shopping Medicare Supplement plans. Medicare Advantage plans change every year and it is critically important that you shop those plans during the small, eight-week period of the "Annual Election Period." We do not specialize in these plans due to their complexity and the number of problems we have seen with senior clients on these, sometimes "free"/no premium HMO plans throughout the country. My Medicare Supplement shopping service is 100% free. If you would like to know the BEST plans available where you live, please call me at 1-800-729-9590. You can actually call 24 hours a day here. We will get you the best, unbiased, independent rate information customized for what you qualify for, which is far different than just giving you a "quote engine" and having you look at companies that might not even be available for you, given, your health qualifications, etc. If you would like to NOT have to become and insurance agent in order to figure out the best plan and you would like some behind-the-scenes help from an agency who has helped thousands of clients in 46 states over the past 25 years, please call my office. There is no charge for my help. How? The same way there is no charge for your auto insurance agent's help, or homeowner's insurance agent. We work the same way. Medigap Plan G - Plan F vs Plan G Comparison - Why Plan G Provides More Value!

Medigap Plan G is less expensive than Medigap Plan F and offers only 1 single difference. The only difference is the annual part b deductible of $166. Additionally, the rate increases with Medigap Plan G are often less than that of Plan F, which makes it a better all around solution for nearly everyone. That means that your premium will be less in the beginning and will stay lower over time, which is a win/win. If another agent compared Plan F vs Plan G for you and still said that Plan F was the best option, then it’s very likely that agent is looking out for their commission, not your best interest. Average annual savings can reach $600 per year in year one alone and they go up after that because of the rate stability. Plan F Vs Plan G: Which Medicare Supplement Plan Is The Best?

Find out whether Medicare Supplement Plan F or Plan G is the best deal! The most popular Medigap plans go head to head as compare the prices and benefits to find out which Supplemental plan is the best! Get Your Free Medicare Supplement Quotes: http://www.medicarehero.com/shop-for-coverage Choosing the right Medicare Supplement plan (also referred to as Medigap Plans) can often be a confusing process. Our goal today is to help our readers gain some insight into the two most popular Medicare Supplement Plans available, Plan F and Plan G. During this video we will discuss Medicare supplement Plan F vs Plan G now this is one of the most common questions we received from clients on a daily basis in our office. This video will explain in real-world terms what the difference in insurance coverage really is and then take you behind the scenes and show you our live quoting software that insurance companies never want you to see. This behind the scenes look is going to reveal the price that each insurance company is currently charging for both Plan G and Plan F. Finally we're going to take the difference in price we discovered together and weighed it against the difference in benefits to see if Plan F or plan G is the best and most valued Medicare supplement Plan. Now the first thing I want you to know before we get into the benefits of these two plans is that Medicare pre-designed 10 Medicare supplement plans and they named him with letters so that it's easy for you the consumer to shop and find the best price. This means simply that any company that you see that offers Plan F, plan G, or any other plan off on here is offering absolutely identical benefits to any other company offering you the exact same plan after plan G. so it doesn't matter if you select united healthcare, Bluecross Blueshield, Aetna, Cigna, Mutual of Omaha, New Era or any other company… they all offer the exact same coverage at the exact same doctors and they'll pay exactly the same way so the bigger question here is which plan is best to go with and which company is going to offer us the best price. Now with that said I want to show you why out of these ten Medigap plans available to be sold the conversation still always boils down to plan f vs plan G. So we'll start with Plan F because it's the easiest to understand and it provides the most coverage. You'll notice every box going down the screen is checked. It's that easy! What this means is with Plan F your Medicare coverage turns into 100% percent coverage so you will never open your wallet or pay a dime out of pocket anywhere for your Medicare card is accepted. There's no co-pays or deductibles, all of your Medicare coverage is simply one hundred percent coverage. You just pay your monthly premiums and you are done for the year. Now with Plan G you will notice that the only difference is one box that is not checked and that is the part b deductible. The Medicare Part B deductible is only a $183 deductible, so if you're not familiar with the deductible what that means is with plan G you pay the first $183 out of pocket once per year. You pay that deductible at your doctor's office or wherever you receive healthcare services. Once you have paid $183 out of pocket then Plan G basically turns into Plan F where everything is one hundred percent covered. So the only difference in coverage between Plan F and plan G is that simple $183 deductible. Now when we get outside of Plan G the benefits of the other plans drop much more then their price does making them hard to recommend. You'll notice if we look at Plan K we have about fifty percent coverage on a lot of items, with no coverage for the Part B deductible, excess charges, or foreign travel. plan L only provides 75% coverage. Plan A and Plan B provides such little benefits that nobody even enrolls in them. They just don't provide enough coverage at all. That's why the focus remains on Plan F or plan G. Now since we know that the absolute only difference between plan G and Plan F is a one time per year deductible of $183 we can safely assume that as long as we can save more than $183 per year in our premiums then we're going to be better off with plan G. ================================================== QUICK AND EASY MEDICARE SUPPLEMENT QUOTES http://www.MedicareHero.com/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Medicarehero/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/medicare-hero YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC76BF06WxgcKZXrK4O438MQ

This is especially true in states that have specific laws reducing the value of Plan G. In addition, some insurance companies are preparing for Medicare Supplement Plan D to be one of the top selling plans in Medicare. To be clear, I am referring to the Medicare Supplement Plan D and NOT Medicare Part D prescription drugs. Medicare supplement Plan D is a direct competitor to Medicare supplement Plan N. Is Medicare Supplement Plan N the right plan for you? Let’s take a look. When comparing Medigap Plan N vs. Plan G, people that prefer the Plan G to the Plan N tend to be people who would rather pay a little extra each month and avoid having to do the extra work to avoid excess charges. The plans are identified by letter across the top row. The category of Medicare services are in the left hand column. In the column below the Plan letter you can see the percentage of insurance coverage offered by that plan. You can find this table on our website and in various Medicare publications. With Medigap Plan N we see that it covers 100% “Medicare Part A coinsurance and hospital costs (up to an additional 365 days after Medicare benefits are used up.). Notice that all the supplements have this coverage. Also, notice down here that Medicare Supplement Plan N pays the Medicare Part A deductible. In 2017 that deductible is $1,380 per event. It will change every year, but with a Medigap Plan N that doesn’t matter. Your supplement will pay it. Without a supplement you pay the deductible up front, then have 60-days of hospital coverage before you start paying a copay. With Medicare supplement Plan N you can be an inpatient in the hospital for more than 365 days with 100% coverage. You will have no out of pocket costs for Part A. The asterisks indicate that you have the Medicare supplement Plan N copay. You will be required to pay up to a $20 co-pay for every doctor visit and a $50 copay for every emergency room visit unless you end up an inpatient in the hospital. Then the $50 copay is waived. The important qualifying words here are “up to”…$20. Here is what you can expect. So notice that with Medicare supplement Plan N you have 100% coverage until you get down to this line item referring to the Medicare Part B deductible and Medicare Part B excess charges. Here Medigap Plan N has no coverage at all. You are expected to pay those fees out of pocket. That’s important. Later in this video I am going to go over a real life example using a common joint replacement that will clear up some of the most common questions and misunderstandings about Medigap Plan N. In order to evaluate if Medicare supplement Plan N is right for you, you need to know what the Medicare Part B deductible is and what it is expected to be in the future. It’s also critical that you understand Medicare Part B excess charges. So let’s focus on these and then go over a real life example to show you how Medicare supplement Plan N works with office visits, hospital stays and physical therapy. If a doctor or hospital does not accept Medicare assigned rates, they are paid 5% less from Medicare, but allowed to charge you 15% more. The amount the doctor or hospital charges you that is more than what Medicare pays the doctor for that service is called an excess charge. Excess charges are only allowed on Medicare Part B services. Those are outpatient and physician services. There are also some states that either forbid or severely restrict Medicare Part B excess charges. These state laws are called Medicare Override Measure or MOM laws. If you live in either Connecticut, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Rhode Island or Vermont your state either forbids or limits Medicare Part B excess charges. for Part D drug plan info visit: http://www.medicare.gov Also visit : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medigap Get your Medicare Guide to supplements here: https://www.medicare.gov/Pubs/pdf/02110-Medicare-Medigap.guide.pdf And your Medicare & You Guide here: https://www.medicare.gov/pubs/pdf/10050-Medicare-and-You.pdf

Once Plan G policyholders pay their Part B deductible ($183 for 2018), they essentially have the Plan F. Plan G monthly premiums are typically much less expensive than the Plan F premiums. Medicare Supplement Plan G vs Plan F Difference Explained: Compare Prices

11:38
http://www.medicareforher.com/supplement-plan-g-vs-plan-f ... In today’s episode we compare the exact difference between a medicare supplement plan g and plan f. We will also link to reviews and prices so you can get an even better idea of what choice you should make. Here is the conversation written out: Wendy: So today's episode we have Catherine...hi Catherine! She writes in and says “Tripp, can you please tell me the differences between a Plan F and a Plan G. I am trying to weigh them out and decide the best option for myself.” So first let's make sure that everyone understands; a Plan F and a Plan G is a Medicare Supplement… Tripp: Correct. Wendy: And these plans are called standardized, they are regulated by the government. Tripp: Correct. So all the Plan F by this particular carrier, say it is Humana and it's AARP or it is New Era or Aetna, a Plan F has the standardized benefits. Wendy: Meaning they're all the same across the board. Tripp: They are identical. So the same doctors, the same hospitals; the difference being how much each carrier just chooses to charge you the client per month on the premium. Wendy: And when he told me this I was just astounded. Tripp: Same plan. Wendy: And I think a lot of people don't realize that. They assume okay well if this carrier charges this amount and this carrier charges this amount, it must mean better benefits. Tripp: Right and it may be a carrier that they have “heard of” but the coverage is the same...it is identical. Wendy: It’s amazing. Tripp: A Plan F is a Plan F; a Plan G has the exact same benefits as another Plan G from Florida to North Carolina to Maine to Arizona, it doesn't matter. An F is an F and a G is a G. Wendy: Okay. So once we have that figured out, the next thing we have to determine is which plan is the best for your situation. So they are supplements; a Plan F is what is known as, they call it… Tripp: The Cadillac of all plans. And I think still a high majority of retirees and mature women, this is geared for the women, typically go with the Plan F because it is the most complete plan; so when they hear that knowing that your major objective is peace of mind and no headaches and you want to make sure everything is taken care of, that is why a lot of keep automatically “Gimme that Plan F!” Wendy: Yeah, and I can see that. It is like all inclusive, like when you choose a resort if you are traveling, you see one that covers everything, you realize you can just relax on your trip and you don't have to worry about being nickled and dimed and you can just kick back. So that would be a plan F, it covers pretty much everything. Tripp: It covers your Part A deductible, Part B deductible; the original Medicare, they are going to pay eighty percent, your Medicare Plan F is going to pay the remaining twenty percent for Part A and Part B. Wendy: Okay. And one other thing I just remembered, when you are deciding between the two, it was just released in recent legislation that the government is going to stop all Plan F’s in January 2020, so that is something to keep in mind. Trip: Now if you have already got a plan F, you are grandfathered in, as they say; but somebody that is aging into Medicare in 2020, like your father, he will not be able to get a plan F, they are taking it away. Wendy: Yes he turns sixty five in October 2020. Tripp: Right. So he will not be eligible to get a plan F. If you already have it you can keep right on rolling with it. Again I, as of the last couple of years we have written more Plan G’s than Plan F’s and we are getting ready to cover why as far as the cost effectiveness you will see. We offer all Medicare Supplement plans and work in most states. We are based in Jupiter Florida and have clients from coast to coast. Florida residents face a problem with their Medicare Supplement costs not experienced anywhere else in the country. Simply put, Florida seniors pay much more for Medigap coverage than seniors in the rest of the country, almost twice as much. Even so, rather than choose a plan with some of the limits associated with Medicare Advantage, choosing a High Deductible Plan F can offer the best coverage, the most choices and flexibility and still keep costs down to a very affordable level. The only difference between a standard Plan F and the High Deductible Plan F is that with the High Deductible option you must pay for the first $2,180 of covered medical expenses in any given year. After that $2,180 deductible is satisfied, remaining expenses are covered 100% just like the standard Plan F. The maximum out of pocket annual expenditure is the key to the value of the High Deductible Plan F. The annual or monthly insurance premium must be paid regardless of your health condition or services you need. If you have a high insurance premium, you are guaranteed to pay a high amount each year. With a low insurance premium and high deductible, your Medicare costs will remain low and are typically capped near or below what would be your annual premium with a regular Plan F. In other words, in the good years your costs are low, in the bad years your costs are only about as high as they would have been with a normal Plan F. Consider that the average annual medical claim is only about $500 and seniors seldom spend more than $2,000 per year, with most years you will save well over $1,000 per year compared to a standard Plan F. Medicare Supplement costs and availability vary by state and even by county. The unusually high costs for Plans F, G and N in Florida make the High Deductible Plan F a viable option for most seniors. Let’s take a look at some real life examples, using services covered by Medicare and some of the lowest cost Medigap insurers to see why the High Deductible Plan F makes sense for seniors in Florida. We are an Independent Medicare Insurance Broker. We work in your best interest and offer all Medicare Supplements from the major insurance carriers.

Texas Medicare Supplement Plans | What Are Best? How To Compare Plans?

04:47
Compare Texas Medicare supplement plans and learn about the best Medigap plans available. Call Us For A Free Quote Comparison: 800-208-4974 Visit us at: http://www.medicaresavingscenter.com This video explains the best Medicare supplement plans in Texas. It is important to compare Plan F vs. Plan G vs. Plan N. In Texas there are a lot companies offering the same exact Medigap plans. Medigap plans are standardized and are exactly the same no matter what company is offering them. For example. Plan F is the same weather it's being offered by AARP, Cigna, Mutual Of Omaha, Aetna or any other company. The only difference is the price. It is very important to make sure you are not overpaying for your coverage. Call us at 800-208-4974 for a free quote comparison. Plan F is the most popular plan available, however, it is not the best option. Often, Plan G will provide much more value over Plan F. This is because the difference in premium between F and G more than covers the benefit difference. In addition, the rate increases on Plan G tend to be much lower on average, then Plan F. Plan N is also a great option. For those who don't plan on going to the doctor very often, or simply, just don't want to pay very much for their insurance, Plan N may be a great fit. When you are shopping for a Medicare supplement plan in Texas it's important to have an independent broker run a quote comparison for you, so you can see what company has the best rates. Give us a call at 800-208-4974, we would love to help you out! ------------------------------------------------------------------ Our website: http://www.medicaresavingscenter.com Our YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQ_yu7GyDaUjm4Owrmx5QZg?sub_confirmation=1

Medicare Advantage vs Medicare Supplement

07:49
My Website: http://www.medicarescreenshare.com Contact Me: MedicareScreenShare@gmail.com Now the big question, should I sign up for a medicare advantage or a medicare supplement. Well as you probably learned in my medicare 101 video medicare advantage plans are part C of medicare and are run by medicare-approved private insurance companies. And they must at least cover what medicare parts A and B cover. Some plans even offer prescription drug coverage along with other benefits. Now medicare supplements as opposed to replacing your medicare parts A and B with another plan work with them. Medicare supplements are designed to fill some to all the gaps in medicare depending on which plan you choose. These plans are also offered by private insurance companies. Medicare supplement plans have predictable cost, they are standardized, they do not have networks of doctors and hospitals. And you have options of different plans to cover some to all the gaps in medicare. On the negative side you do need to get separate drug coverage, they almost always have higher monthly premiums, and these premiums increase each year because of your age and also because of the experience of the risk pool they put you in. So if your in a unhealthy area your premiums will increase faster than if you live in a healthy area. Medicare advantage plans are lower cost, with the most popular plans having $0 premium. Most include drug coverage. Most also have some small benefits for hearing, dental, vision, and wellness. The most popular benefits like these are free gym memberships. The negatives of medicare advantages are the networks where you need to see their doctors at their hospitals. the plans are not standardized and change yearly, and you can have max out of pockets of $6,700. And finally Medicare advantage plans are much more expensive in the long run for chronic conditions. Now lets look at overall satisfaction of medicare advantage and medicare supplement plans. 15% of medicare advantage customers rated their insurance as fair or poor, compared to 6% rating traditional medicare with a supplement as fair or poor. 24.8% of people that are leaving medicare advantage plans because they had problems with provider access… So these people did not like being in a network of hospitals or doctors… And also 21.5% of people said they dis-enrolled because of misinformation and marketing abuse. Okay, I know I painted a pretty negative picture of medicare advantage. These $0 premium plans really do not have much of an advantage to them, but there are good plans in areas of the country that are worth seriously looking at. I mostly run into 0 premium plans where I market, so they are the ones I focus on the most. And as always remember if you have any questions make sure to call me at (920) 960-4312 or shoot me a email at medicarescreenshare@gmail.com. Thanks again and have a wonderful day! Medicare advantage plans maximum out of pockets are increasing with the popularity of their $0 premium plans. But you can see with this graph that there are other plans with different maximum out of pockets that you can choose form. But the average maximum out of pocket is still $5,257. This plan helps cover gaps left from Medicare coverage Part A and B. The plan is similar to popular option plan F and common choice for those seeking supplement plan coverage. This high deductible plan is known to have lower premiums depending on service coverage, but in the long run it can help make healthcare costs easier and affordable. Here is a brief summary of what you should know about this supplement plan. What Does Medicare Supplement Plan F HD Cover? After the annual deductible plan F HD covers the deductible associated with Part A coverage. The plan covers the deductible for the year period and three pints of blood. Plan F HD covers coinsurance of a hospital stay for 61 to 365 days. Coinsurance for skilled nursing care facilities and hospice care is also covered. For Part B insurance about 20 percent of costs approved by Medicare, the yearly deductible and excess charges from Medicare (what Medicare did not cover from a service), is covered in Plan F HD. Foreign travel health emergencies under Part A or B are covered. Medicare Part B premium payments are not covered under Plan F HD. Keep in mind income guidelines for Part A premiums apply. This means you could be responsible for paying Part A premiums if your income is high enough; in this case Plan F would not cover the deductible. What Costs Are Associated with the Plan? Applicants can get a quote detailing how much they would pay under Plan F HD. Applicants close to their 65th birthday may be eligible to receive lower rates. This is obtained through the open enrollment period which continues for a few months after your birthday. You can apply if you are seeking Part A or B coverage. During your initial enrollment you can't be turned down and medical underwriting is waived. Plan F HD helps cover the first 60 days of hospitalization. If hospitalization continues past 60 days Medicare pays a specific amount each day and Plan F HD will pick up what is left over. If hospital stay is continuously needed after 365 days Plan F HD could pick up all costs. The number of days Plan F HD covers for skilled nursing and hospice care varies. This plan also has other factors that help determine your costs such the age you obtain coverage, the premium amount issued based on your age and community rating in which people in a certain age bracket would pay the same premium amount for their policy. Additional Details to Know Medicare Supplement Plan F HD Compare other supplement plan options for Medicare costs if Plan F HD does not seem suitable. This plan has a high deductible version that is recommended for those in good health. Plan G is the most common alternative option to this plan. It offers similar coverage but is considered affordable considering deductible costs you have to pay before the supplement policy covers gap expenses.

Medigap Plan N and More For Florida Residents

We work with clients from coast to coast and are based in Jupiter Florida. ...... That leaves us with Medigap Plan N. Medigap Plan N is the unsung hero of Medicare Supplements. It packs a lot of coverage into a very well-priced, low-cost package. On average, a Medigap Plan N will cost between 25% and 35% less than a Plan F, saving $600 or more in annual premiums. How is a Plan N different that the complete coverage of a Plan F? Medigap Plan N is different than a Medigap Plan F is three ways. First, you pay the annual Medicare Part B deductible. That deductible is just $166 per year as of 2016. It may be more or less in the years ahead. Only Medigap Plan F and Medigap Plan C pay that Medicare Part B deductible, and that is why those two plans will be discontinued as of 2020. Medigap Plan N and all other Medicare Supplements require you to pay the annual Medicare Part B deductible. It’s just $166 and it’s no big deal compared to the hundreds of dollars you save in premiums. The second way Medicare Supplement Plan N is different that a Medicare Supplement Plan F is that with Plan N you pay up to a $20 co-pay when you visit the doctor and a $50 co-pay for an emergency room visit unless you are admitted to the hospital. If you see a doctor a couple times per year, a $20 co-pay is a fair exchange for the hundreds of dollars in lower premium. The third and final way that a Medicare Supplement Plan N is different that a Medigap Plan F is that Medigap Plan N does not insure against Medicare Part B excess charges. Now, this scares a lot of people until they understand how inconsequential this feature really is. Only doctors who do not accept Medicare Assignment can charge a Medicare Part B excess charge. Medicare assignment simply means that Medicare assigns the price to the service. Only 3%, three out of 100 doctors do not accept Medicare Assignment which then allows them to bill an excess charge. All you have to do is ask your doctor if they accept Medicare Assignment. Odds are 97% that they do. If so, then that feature of a Plan N is of no concern. If your doctor is one of the three out of one-hundred that does not accept Medicare Assignment, simply request that they bill you only the assignment rates so that Medicare covers the cost of his or her services. It’s that simple. Most seniors on Medicare never encounter a doctor that does not accept Medicare Assignment in their entire life. There you have it. If you are considering a Medicare Supplement to add coverage to your Original Medicare, consider and price at least Medigap Plan F, Medigap Plan N and Medigap Plan F-HD. In states outside of Florida, also, consider Medigap Plan G (detailed in a separate article). To find the best prices for each of these plans, simply complete a quote request. We will email you the prices and information you need. If you are more interested in a Medicare Advantage plan, contact us for details. Medicare Supplement Plans - Tips To Compare Plans

02:00
Here are some helpful tips on how to compare Medicare supplement plans. Comparing Medicare supplement plans is relatively easy because plans are standardized. For example, Medicare supplement Plan F will include the same benefits no matter which insurance company offers it. Some things to consider once you have decided on a plan are the monthly premium, the customer service from the company offering the plan and the pricing model. Pay particular attention to Medicare supplement early enrollment discounts when comparing companies. Get our Free Mini-Course: Medicare Advantage or Medicare Supplemental? Medicare Supplement Plan N - Is Medigap Plan N the Best?

03:42
Medicare Supplement Plan N Http://www.Medisupps.com 888-891-0229 Learn Why Plan N is one of the best choices for Medicare Supplement Insurance! This will be one of the most popular choices for Medicare supplement plans in 2017. If you're one of the 130,000 GE Retirees losing healthcare benefits, you already know that you will be receiving a $1000 per year allowance. One important thing to remember though is: You do NOT have to get your Medicare Supplement through OneExchange! You only need to get your Part D drug plan through them to receive the subsidy each year. OneExchange's website currently is only showing just a few (out of well over 30) plans available in most areas, AND they are ridiculously overpriced! Medicare Supplement Plan N in 2016 is an outstanding choice due to it's lower premiums that both Plan F and G, and could be your best option to hopefully fit your budget whether your are a GE retiree or not. You owe it to yourself to get a second opinion regardless of which Medicare supplement plan your considering, and I assure you that you will be amazed at how much lower the premiums can be for the plans from each carrier. Let us help! Medicare supplement plan N is quickly becoming one of the most popular Medigap plans available today. Many people are enjoying the lower premiums as well as the outstanding coverage that Medicare supplement plan N provides. Although Medigap plan F and G are still more popular than this plan, more and more people are realizing that if they are healthy or coming off a Medicare advantage plan, Medicare supplement plan N is one of the best choices to enroll in. This is because plan N has lower premiums each month than plan F or plan G. The tradeoff however, is that with plan N you might have some additional out of pocket expenses. These expenses include things like the part B annual deductible, up to a $20.00 co pay per doctor's visit, and perhaps a $50.00 co pay if you visit the emergency room but you're not admitted. And although Medicare supplement plan N does not cover part B excess charges, most people do not ever see these charges and if they do they are typically minimal. Therefore you should not be concerned with any additional out of pocket expenses if the premiums are low enough to consider Medicare supplement plan N over plan G or plan F. To get instant online quotes for Medicare supplement plan N simply visit Medisupps.com. There you can be assured that you can view online quotes without getting calls from 10 different agents. While we might call you myself to see if you have everything you need for Medigap Plan N, I promise no one else will ever get your information. Companies have rate increases each year and they all charge different premiums for the exact same coverage. Now you don't have to try to learn on your own! Finding Medigap Insurance for 2018 has never been easier. At Medisupps.com we make the learning process and applying for coverage as easy as possible. And we'll check your rates each year, something the big carriers never do for people. Why? Because they don't want you knowing about lower rates with other companies! That's why our clients love our service. You pay the same premium if you allow us to help with Medicare Supplement plans in 2016 or if you went direct to an insurance carrier. Wouldn't you want experienced advisors on your side each year for no cost shopping the rates for you? And finding Medicare Part D for 2017 doesn't have to be confusing either, we'll help get you on the right track with drug plans also even though we don't "sell" them. We'll also keep you posted on any changes affecting Medicare coming up in the future. Medicare Supplement Plans in 2018 won't change, but things like the 2018 Medicare Part B deductible and premium will so you need to know these costs. The Medicare Part B deductible for 2017 is $183 and this is an annual deductible. We look forward to discussing Medicare Supplement plans with you and finding the best Medicare coverage to fit your needs. Simply call us at 888-891-0229, or visit our website www.Medisupps.com. What is Medigap Insurance and Do You Need It?

08:59
Get Medigap Help: https://www.remedigap.com or call 888-411-1329 In this video, I'll explain how Medigap works, how you're responsible for the 20% Medicare won't cover. I'll also provide a case study on someone who needed to get Medigap - but waited too long and was unable too due to a health issue. ---- Medicare only covers 80% of your healthcare costs, leaving you with the remaining 20% coinsurance with no out of pocket maximum. The entire 20% is your responsibility and doesn’t reset at the beginning of the year. I’ll tell you how Medigap works to protect you from that 20% coinsurance so you can make informed decisions about your benefits. So, what is medigap insurance and do you need it? Whether or not you need Medigap insurance is a personal decision and definitely an important one as Medicare only covers 80% of your healthcare costs. And because Medicare doesn’t have an out of pocket limit, the remaining 20% can continue to grow leaving you financially vulnerable. And, no one wants to be in a vulnerable position - especially when it comes to your money. Most people are used to coinsurance. You probably had it at some point. But the main difference between your under age 65 health insurance and Medicare is the out of pocket limit -- which Medicare doesn’t have. Now, If we take a look at the average person visiting the doctor a Medicare Part B claim might be $100. Medicare pays 80% of that...so, $80 and you pay $20. You might be thinking, “no big deal”. A few doctor visits a year isn't going to break the bank. And that’s true for many people. But you need to take two things into consideration -- #1 You don’t know what the future holds in terms of your health. #2 Medicare doesn’t have an Out of Pocket limit. This is where Medigap insurance comes into play. Medigap is private insurance that’s meant to fill in the gaps of what Medicare doesn’t cover - such as the 20% coinsurance. And, The most popular plans F, G, and N will cover that 20% coinsurance...offering you financial protection and peace of mind. When you first enroll in Medicare, you get a one time use it or lose it opportunity and it’s called a Medigap Open Enrollment Period. This is when you can put a Medigap plan in place without answering any health questions or go through medical underwriting. So, if your Part B effective date is February 1, the Medigap Open Enrollment period allows you to buy a plan and have it begin in Feb, Mar, Apr, May, Jun, or Jul...it’s an important 6 month window, because when it closes -- it can’t be reopened. Why is that so important? Think back to that 20% coinsurance. If you decide to not add a Medigap plan during your Medigap Open Enrollment period, then you leave yourself financially vulnerable. And, If you decide to add a Medigap plan later when something happens, it just might be too late. After 6 month window closes, you have to answer the health questions and get approved by the insurance company’s medical underwriting department. So there’s no guarantee that a policy will be yours. You’ve now put the decision making in the hands of the insurance company. So, are you still wondering what is medigap and do you need it? If so, make sure to watch this video. The good news is you don’t have to make a decision right this very second. In fact, you might want some more information or even some more guidance. So, I have more good news, you don’t have to look very far, because help is right in front of you...hello! Give me a call or send me an email if you prefer and I’ll get your questions answered and help move you through the process. Medicare Part D - 5 Things To Know Before You Enroll in a Part D Plan

Call (888) 310-0376 to Compare all Medicare Part D Plans in Your State. Get Instant Access to my Medicare mini-course. Visit: http://medicare-mini-course.com In this video I explain 5 things you should know about Medicare Part D before you enroll. There have been significant changes to the Part D program since its inception in 2006. Visit http://affordablemedicareplan.com and get access to hundreds of articles on Medicare Part D, Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement insurance. There have been changes to enrollment periods, how premiums are calculated as well as adjustments to the Standard Benefit Model. Some things haven't changed such as who is eligible to join and how plans work. Here are 5 things you should know about the Medicare Part D program and Part D plans in particular. One. You need to know what Part D is and how it works. So what is Medicare Part D? Part D is optional prescription drug coverage for Medicare beneficiaries who are enrolled in both Medicare Parts A and B. Although Part D is optional, you should enroll when you first become eligible or potentially be subject to the Part D penalty which will have an impact on what you pay for as long as you are enrolled in a plan. Part D is offered by private insurance companies and is not part of original Medicare. Plans are offered by service area and you must live in a service area to be eligible for a plan. You can get Part D in one of two ways; you can enroll in a stand-alone plan (PDP) or you can enroll in a Medicare Advantage Plan that includes drug coverage. Plans are effective for one calendar year. Two. Understanding the terminology of Part D is important. Medicare Part D Premiums -- Premiums are paid monthly and have ranged in the low to mid $30 range for the past few years. Part D Deductible -- The deductible is the amount you may be required to pay prior to your plan paying a share of prescription drugs. Part D copayment / Coinsurance -- This is the amount you pay at the pharmacy. Drugs are place in tiers and normally a plan has four or five tiers. Initial Coverage Limit -- This amount is set annually by Medicare and will be the same for all plans. It is the amount both you and your plan will pay prior to you reaching the Part D coverage gap. Medicare Part D Donut Hole -- This is the coverage gap that you may enter if you exceed the initial coverage limit. Part D Catastrophic Coverage -- This phase is reached after you have spent a fixed amount in the Donut Hole, currently $4750. During this phase you will pay very small copayments or coinsurance amounts for your drugs. Third. You should understand the Medicare Part D enrollment periods. There are 3 types of Part D enrollment periods. When you first become eligible you have a seven month window to submit an application. If starts three months before the month you turn 65 or if you will receive Part D due to a disability it will start 3 months prior to your 25th month of disability. The Part D Annual Election Period is the time to compare Part D Plans because you are able to switch, drop or enroll in a plan. Part D Special Enrollment Periods are time that you can enroll in a plan, normally due to a change in your individual circumstances. Such as, moving from a plan's service area or losing other creditable drug coverage like from an employer or union (including (COBRA). If you live in a nursing home you also are entitled to a Special Enrollment Period. The 5 Star Special Enrollment Period allows you the opportunity to switch into or enroll in a 5 Star-rated plan once per year. Plans are rated from one to five stars by Medicare and are a reflection of the experience people who have been in enrolled in the plan have had. You are allowed to enroll between December 30th and November 8th. If you qualify for Medicare extra help you can change plans anytime. Fourth. You must know how to conduct a thorough comparison of Medicare Part D plans. You can see all available plans for your service area at the Medicare Plan Finder at medicare.gov. But don't choose a plan based on premium alone. There's a lot more to plan cost than the monthly premium. Start your search for the best plan by exploring the Medicare Part D formulary for each plan. The formulary is the list of drugs which are covered by a plan. There is no universal Part D formulary, each plan will be unique. Formularies are either Basic or Enhanced. Making sure all your drugs are covered is your number one goal. Also compare: Plan Deductibles Copayments and Coinsurance amounts Pharmacy Networks Part D Mail Order benefits Fifth. You should be aware that your Part D premium may not be what is published at medicare.gov. Premiums are now tied to your annual income. If you qualify for Medicare extra help, you may pay $0 premiums, but if you earn over $85,000 as an individual or over $170,000 filing jointly, you are going to pay more.

Learn about Medicare supplement plans in Colorado, how to compare and what Medigap plans are best. Call Us For A Free Quote Comparison: 800-208-4974 Visit us at: http://www.medicaresavingscenter.com This video explains what the best Medicare supplement plans are in Colorado, how to compare them and get quotes. It is important to learn about Medicare supplement plans before you go out and purchase a plan. If you live, or are moving to the state of Colorado this video will explain, in detail, what Medigap plans are best and how to go about comparing the plans. Medicare supplement plans also known as "Medigap" plans are insurance plans sold by private insurance companies. They are designed to pay for what Medicare does not pay in full. The three most popular plans are F, G and N. Plan G provides the most value for your premium dollar, and I explain why in the video. One thing, the insurance companies don’t want you to know if that the Medigap plans are exactly the same no matter what company is offering them. For example, Plan F is exactly the same weather it is being offered by UHC, Aetna, Cigna or any other carrier. The only difference is the price! This is why it is important to allow us to help you compare plans, this ensures you won’t be overpaying for your supplement. In addition, all the Medicare supplement plans (Plans A-N) are accepted anywhere in the country that accepts Medicare, regardless of what company the plan is with. For example; you can have a Plan G with any company and it will be accepted anywhere in the country, as long as they take Original Medicare. There are no networks or referrals needed with a Medigap Plan! If you are unsure about which plan is best for you, please give us a call at 800-208-4974. Many folks think Plan F is the "best plan" when in fact you will get much more value out of a Plan G or Plan N. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Our website: http://www.medicaresavingscenter.com Subscribe To Our YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQ_yu7GyDaUjm4Owrmx5QZg Medicare Supplement Plan G vs. F: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nTikSGP502k Medicare Supplement Plans By State: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLhENX2SJv7MsH105gzUFOZGZ3FOL-hDAw
Medicare Supplement 2018 - Plan F vs Plan G - Which Plan is Best?

Medicare Supplement Plan F vs Plan G-Which Plan is Best? CLICK HERE http://seniormarketsolutions.com - 1-800-784-8969 Cullen Teska from Senior Market Solutions talks about the differences between Medicare Supplement Plan F and Plan G. Medigap Plan F has historically been a very popular plan as it offers the most coverage for Medicare costs. In recent years, however, Plan G has increased in popularity because of its affordability. The 2 most popular Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plans are Plan F & Plan G. Should you choose Medigap Plan F or Plan? For those with Medicare, Medicare Supplement Insurance (also called Medigap) can help ease the burden of potentially high out-of-pocket costs such as deductibles, coinsurance and other fees. When comparing Medigap Plan F and Plan G, you'll see there's only one major difference in benefits — Plan F covers the Medicare Part B deductible and Plan G doesn't. Medigap Plan F Coverage With Medigap Plan F, you get coverage on all nine basic benefits listed above. In fact, 56% of Medicare beneficiaries enrolled in a Medigap policy in 2014 were enrolled in Plan F. A Medigap Plan F policy could cost more in monthly premiums than some other Medigap plans that offer fewer benefits. Newly eligible Medicare beneficiaries won't be able to purchase Medigap Plan F or Plan C starting in 2020. Until that time, you can still likely purchase Plan F in your area if it is available and if you qualify. So how does Plan F compare vs. Plan G? Medigap Plan G Coverage Medigap Plan G has almost all of the same basic benefits as Plan F, except for coverage of the Medicare Part B deductible ($183 in 2018). This means that once your Part B deductible is paid in full, a Medigap Plan G policy would offer the same coverage as Plan F. Opting for Medigap Plan G coverage could equal lower monthly premiums depending on your location, your insurance provider and other factors. Deciding which plan is right for you could come down to availability, the cost of monthly premiums and whether or not you want coverage for the Medicare Part B deductible. Deciding on Medigap Plan F vs. Plan G How much your monthly premium costs could be determined by several factors. Your current health, age, gender, your location and your Medicare Supplement Insurance company could all influence your premiums, depending on when you buy your policy. The best time to buy a Medigap plan is during your Medigap open enrollment period. Insurers can't use your health against you during this time. You can't be denied coverage or charged higher premiums due to your health history. Your Medigap open enrollment period begins the month you are 65 years old and enrolled in Part B. Medicare supplement plans vs. Medicare advantage plans

05:27
-------- Click link ----- http://Medigaplist.com Medicare supplement plans vs. Medicare advantage plans are a typical topic that people research for while using Google or Bing. In this video I talk about the difference between Medigap plans and Medicare advantage plans. Medicare supplement plans vs. Medicare advantage plans can be a confusing comparison because you are really talking about oranges and apples. Medicare supplement plans are always labeled with a letter like Medicare supplemental plan F or Medicare supplement plan G. The Medicare advantage plans will not have a letter label unless someone points out they are also called Medicare Part C. Medicare supplements vs. Medicare advantage plans are easy to compare because of the upfront payment or out of pocket costs when you use them. A Medicare supplemental plan F doesn't have any out of pocket costs and a Medicare advantage has all the out of pocket costs. The Medicare supplemental plan F might have a premium every month of $200 but doesn't have a co pay or deductible cost. The Medicare advantage plan might have a "0" premium but has an out of pocket cost of $6700 a year. Medigap plans are always known to be better coverage with no networks and the Medicare advantage plans are always cheaper. Medigap Plan F - Is it STILL the best choice?

07:55
https://www.remedigap.com [888-411-1329] Chances are you’ve heard of Medigap Plan F. It’s known as the cadillac of all ten Medigap standardized plans. But even though Medicare Plan F has been popular for years, is it still the best plan? But does that mean Medicare Supplement Plan F is still the best choice? Today I’ll share 3 facts about Plan F and go over actual client cases and their average rate increases for the last three years. So how do I know about Medicare and Medigap insurance? Let me tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Joann Quinn. I’m Co-founder of REMEDIGAP.com and a Medicare Supplement Specialist (aka insurance agent...but far from the stereotypical type). I’m also a former teacher and my passion for educating transfers over to Medicare. Here are 3 facts about Plan F. Fact #1 Medigap Plan F has the best benefits of all ten Medigap Plans. It’s the only plan to offer 100% coverage in all categories. In a nutshell, it covers all Medicare deductibles, co pays and coinsurance. If you go to the doctor and Medicare pays its portion of the bill, Plan F will pay the rest. Fact #2 Medicare Supplement Plan F is first dollar coverage. That means it pays immediately including the Part B deductible that must be met before Medicare will begin paying its portion costs...which is 80%. In actuality, it’s the insurance carrier paying the part b deductible for you. But, just because it pays the deductible for you doesn’t mean you’re not paying it. Do you really think the insurance company is going to let you get away with a freebie? Most of the time, that deductible is incorporated into your premium. Fact #3 Plan F is going away and staying around, so let’s clear up the rumor. Congress decided that insurance companies can longer sell first dollar coverage plans beginning Jan 1, 2020 to anyone newly eligible for Medicare. Don’t panic! If you’re enrolled in Medicare or were eligible for Medicare before that date...no worries...you can still buy Plan F after 2020 or keep the Plan F you already have.

How To Choose A Medicare Plan | Don't Buy A Medigap Plan Until YOU Watch This Video Plan F Or Plan G

08:18
How To Choose A Medicare Plan | Don't Buy A Medigap Plan Until YOU Watch This Video Plan F Or Plan G | Visit Us At : http://medicareplandiscounts.com/ Let Us Help, Call Us At 1(844) 280-0785 Knowing the differences and choosing the right plan, could actually save you 100's of dollars in premium each yr. If you or a loved one are turning 65 you're probably overloaded w/mail & phone calls from big insurance co's pressuring you to sign up with them. Sorting thru mail & info & figuring out the difference between the plans and parts of Medicare is confusing & overwhelming. We get it... Not to mention you want to make sure you're not paying too much for a plan or getting ripped off, because different insurance co's can charge different rates for the same plan. The good news is, Medicare standardizes all the Plans. Choosing a plan is not as hard as it seems. The most popular plan is Plan F. It is also known as the Cadillac plan because it fills in 100% of gaps that Medicare doesn't cover. But guess what? Plan G is the best kept secret. Medicare Supp Plan G is a great option that many don't know about. You can actually save several 100's of dollars by choosing Plan G. Let's take a quick look at all the Medicare Supp Plans & you'll see what I mean. This is a chart of the standardized plans. We've highlighted Plan F & G. As I said before Plan F is known as the Cadillac plan because it covers 100% of gaps that Medicare doesn't & it also includes a Foreign Travel Benefit. Plan G looks almost identical to Plan F. In fact it is identical to Plan F in every way except for the Part B deductible which in 2016 is $166. So what does that mean? It means you have to pay the $166 ded before 100% of expenses are paid. This could be a good deal. Let's compare apples to apples. We know that Medicare Supp Plans allow you to keep your Dr., Hspl & Specialist & you never have to worry about networks or referrals. The plan travels with you anywhere in US, there are no copays w/Plan F & G. But what makes Plan F & G unique is that they are the only plans that cover Part B excess charges. An excess charge is the amt over what Medicare deems as reasonable & customary. So, if your Dr or provider charges more than Medicare allows, this is known as an excess charge. With any other Supp Plan you could be on the hook for those excess charges, only Plan F & G cover them. Plan F & G are one of the only plans that cover Foreign Travel so if you like to travel or have relatives overseas, you want to make sure you pick a plan that covers Foreign Travel. Plan F & G are the same in every way except for the Part B deductible and the cost. Let's look at some examples. This is our client Selma. She is 88 yrs old. She was covered under her husband's retiree medical plan until he passed away. She had 30 days to pick up a Supp Plan & under Medicare guidelines because she lost credible coverage she was guaranteed issued into Plan F no medical questions asked. We knew if we put her in Plan G she would save lots of money. Here is the rate comparison for Selma. She is 88 yrs old, non-tobacco user. Plan F would be $302 w/Transamerica & Plan G is $235 w/Bankers Fidelity. Let me pause, as an independent agent we have access to all the carriers in your state. Our job is to shop the market & that's what we did for Selma. We were able to find the lowest rate regardless of the plan she chose. So not only did we save her money by helping her choose a Plan G, but we got her the lowest rate in the market. The premium difference between a Plan F & G is $67/mo.That's a lot of money for someone on a fixed income. Keep in mind Selma will still have to pay the $166 deductible, but her saving is still over $600/yr. Let's look at another example. This is our client Larry. He is 66 yr old non-tobacco user. Plan F w/Aetna is $188 & Plan G w/Mutual Omaha is $150. The premium diff is $37/mo or $284/yr. Keep in mind he is 66, over time this savings adds up. So with Good Old Fashioned Common Sense & Basic Arithmetic you can see that Plan G is a better value & you still get great coverage. Medicare doesn't cover everything. You pay about 20% of expenses. Picking up a Medicare Supp Plan can fill in those gaps. But it's important to not only choose the right plan but the right insurance co. Our job at MedicarePlanDiscounts.com is to help you shop the market & find the right plan & the right insurance co. Let us help you. Call us at 1 844-280-0785 for a free quote, no obligation.
