Top 3 Medicare Supplement Plans 2018

Contact Me: MedicareScreenShare@gmail.com My Website: http://www.medicarescreenshare.com Top 3 Medicare Supplement Plans On The Market Today Okay lets look at the Top 3 medicare supplement options in the market today. Lets get right into the presentation. Okay you have 15 different plan options to choose between to supplement original Medicare. The plans range from plan A to Plan N and cover some to all the gaps in Original Medicare. We will just be looking into the 3 most popular plans instead of confusing you with all 15 different coverage options. Looking more into plans F, G and N you can see why they are the most popular plans and why their market shares are growing so quickly. Plan F is the most popular because it is the easiest to understand and covers 100% of the gaps in Medicare. So if you enrolled into Plan F and have a Medicare approved claim, it will cover all the deductibles, coinsurances, and copays of Original Medicare. Plan G is also a very easy to understand plan with it coving 100% of the gaps in Medicare with one exception. That exception is that Plan G does not cover your Part B deductible. The Part B deductible in 2017 is $183… The last plan we will be comparing is Plan N. Plan N also does not cover your $183 Part B deductible much like Plan G… There is also a $20 copay for doctor visits and a $50 copay for emergency room visits that do not result in impatient admission. Lastly Plan N does not cover part Part B excess charges. Part B excess charges are when doctors or specialist charge up to 15% more then what Medicare is willing to pay for a test, sugary, or procedure. Plan F was on average the most expensive at $130 dollars, Plan G was $104, and least expensive was Plan N at $85. This is very consistent with what you will find throughout the United States. Now lets compare the three. Comparing Plan F to Plan G is very easy. All you need to do is some simple math to find out that Plan G will cost on average about $312 less a year than Plan F. Then subtract the only difference between the two. And if you remember the only difference is the $183 Part B deductible. So your net savings with Plan G after taking into account all benefit differences is $129. So with a Plan F you are paying an insurance company $129 a year to pay for your Part B deductible. And you can even pocket the whole difference of $312 if you do not go to the doctor at all… Some other factors to look at when comparing these plans is that Plan F will no longer be available to new enrollees in 2020, but you can keep your plan as long as you like if you signed up before 2020. Plan F ending will create a closed risk pool most likely leading to higher rate increases for Plan F after 2020. It is also important to point out that Plan G and N have had historically lower rate increases than Plan F in the past as well. So just because plan F is the most popular plan on the market does not make it the best. Comparing Plans G and N is a little more difficult. Again after some simple math you find out that you can save $228 a year with Plan N over a Plan G. But you need to factor in the Part B copays with Plan N. The $228 dollar difference between plans G and N is equivalent to 11.4 $20 office visit or 4.6 $50 emergency room visits. So you would have to have quite a few office or ER lists to make up the difference in cost, but do not forget about the Part B excess charges with Plan N. You can avoid these charges by only working with Medicare Assigned doctors, but the risk of being charged 15% more for a test, sugary, or procedure is one of the reasons why Plan N is less expensive. So excess charges are an important factor when deciding between Plan G and N, but if you are in great health then Plan N could save you a lot of money especially if you continue to stay healthy 5 to 10 years into your Medicare enrollment. Now which is the best of the three. Well I would have to pick Plan G in most cases. It is close between Plan G and N, but the safer long term bet is with Plan G. Now if you are exceptionally healthy you should seriously consider Plan N especially if the cost difference is over $200 a year. But remember if you do pick Plan N just always make sure your doctor except Medicare Assignment to avoid any Excess Charges. And finally Plan F. Plan F is only for the person where money really does not matter. Thanks for taking the time to check out this quick presentation and I hope you found it helpful. Medicare Supplement 2018 - Plan F vs Plan G - Which Plan is Best?

03:52
Medicare Supplement Plan F vs Plan G-Which Plan is Best? CLICK HERE http://seniormarketsolutions.com - 1-800-784-8969 Cullen Teska from Senior Market Solutions talks about the differences between Medicare Supplement Plan F and Plan G. Medigap Plan F has historically been a very popular plan as it offers the most coverage for Medicare costs. In recent years, however, Plan G has increased in popularity because of its affordability. The 2 most popular Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plans are Plan F & Plan G. Should you choose Medigap Plan F or Plan? For those with Medicare, Medicare Supplement Insurance (also called Medigap) can help ease the burden of potentially high out-of-pocket costs such as deductibles, coinsurance and other fees. When comparing Medigap Plan F and Plan G, you'll see there's only one major difference in benefits — Plan F covers the Medicare Part B deductible and Plan G doesn't. Medigap Plan F Coverage With Medigap Plan F, you get coverage on all nine basic benefits listed above. In fact, 56% of Medicare beneficiaries enrolled in a Medigap policy in 2014 were enrolled in Plan F. A Medigap Plan F policy could cost more in monthly premiums than some other Medigap plans that offer fewer benefits. Newly eligible Medicare beneficiaries won't be able to purchase Medigap Plan F or Plan C starting in 2020. Until that time, you can still likely purchase Plan F in your area if it is available and if you qualify. So how does Plan F compare vs. Plan G? Medigap Plan G Coverage Medigap Plan G has almost all of the same basic benefits as Plan F, except for coverage of the Medicare Part B deductible ($183 in 2018). This means that once your Part B deductible is paid in full, a Medigap Plan G policy would offer the same coverage as Plan F. Opting for Medigap Plan G coverage could equal lower monthly premiums depending on your location, your insurance provider and other factors. Deciding which plan is right for you could come down to availability, the cost of monthly premiums and whether or not you want coverage for the Medicare Part B deductible. Deciding on Medigap Plan F vs. Plan G How much your monthly premium costs could be determined by several factors. Your current health, age, gender, your location and your Medicare Supplement Insurance company could all influence your premiums, depending on when you buy your policy. The best time to buy a Medigap plan is during your Medigap open enrollment period. Insurers can't use your health against you during this time. You can't be denied coverage or charged higher premiums due to your health history. Your Medigap open enrollment period begins the month you are 65 years old and enrolled in Part B. Compare Medicare Supplement Plans: Differences Between Carriers & Plans

03:15
https://www.medicarefaq.com/videos/compare-medicare-supplement-plans Compare Medicare Supplement Plans: Differences Between Carriers & Plans If you are newly eligible for Medicare, you may not understand that Medicare doesn’t cover all of your health care costs. Part A covers hospitals, and you have a deductible; and part B covers doctor visits, and you also have a deductible with your part B. Then Medicare will cover 80% of your medically necessary healthcare costs. So, choosing a Medicare supplement, or a Medigap plan covers that 20% that Medicare doesn’t cover, and those deductibles. So, the standardized Medicare supplements are letter plans, letter plans A through N. The most comprehensive plan is the letter plan G, which covers all your Medicare co-insurances, covers your hospital deductible. The only thing that plan G doesn’t cover is your part B deductible. Medicare Advantage VS Medicare Supplement An alternative to getting Medicare supplement is a Medicare Advantage Plan. A Medicare Advantage Plan replaces your Medicare with a managed care, HMO and PPO, that is somewhat limiting because you have a network of doctors, and you have co-pays and co-insurances throughout the year. Choosing a Medicare supplement or Medigap Plan over a Managed Care, HMO, or PPO has a lot of advantages. You have the freedom of choosing any doctor that accepts Medicare, any hospital that accepts Medicare nationwide and you can travel, and go on vacation, and use your Medicare supplement in other states. It’s also guaranteed renewable as long as you keep paying the premium. Open Enrollment Now, the best time to enroll in a Medicare supplement is during that one in a lifetime open enrolment opportunity, which is 3 months prior the month of, and 3 months after your 65th birthday. You can certainly apply for a Medicare supplement outside of this window, but an insurer can decline you for certain health conditions or age. Now because the Medicare supplements are standardized plans, they are identical to each other, there’s no difference in coverage. The only thing that isn’t identical is the price or the premium, and the insurance company that you chose. So, it doesn’t make sense to pay more for the same coverage. However, comparing the plans and the companies, can be very confusing, and sometimes time consuming. Seniors are so relieved after they speak with a licensed agent here at Medicare FAQ. Top Rated Insurance Companies Our agents have the ability and technology to research all the Medigap plans with dozens of top rated insurance companies. This is why our clients stay with us year after year. This is an important decision, and at Medicare FAQ helps educate the client, putting all of the puzzle pieces together. So when they completed the enrollment process with one of our agents, they walk away with piece of mind and are clear about their Medicare covers they worked so hard for their whole life. So, the Medicare supplements, the Medigap Insurance, is the truest form of health insurance when you are on Medicare. Medicare Supplement Plan N vs Plan G (& Plan D)

This is especially true in states that have specific laws reducing the value of Plan G. In addition, some insurance companies are preparing for Medicare Supplement Plan D to be one of the top selling plans in Medicare. To be clear, I am referring to the Medicare Supplement Plan D and NOT Medicare Part D prescription drugs. Medicare supplement Plan D is a direct competitor to Medicare supplement Plan N. Is Medicare Supplement Plan N the right plan for you? Let’s take a look. When comparing Medigap Plan N vs. Plan G, people that prefer the Plan G to the Plan N tend to be people who would rather pay a little extra each month and avoid having to do the extra work to avoid excess charges. The plans are identified by letter across the top row. The category of Medicare services are in the left hand column. In the column below the Plan letter you can see the percentage of insurance coverage offered by that plan. You can find this table on our website and in various Medicare publications. With Medigap Plan N we see that it covers 100% “Medicare Part A coinsurance and hospital costs (up to an additional 365 days after Medicare benefits are used up.). Notice that all the supplements have this coverage. Also, notice down here that Medicare Supplement Plan N pays the Medicare Part A deductible. In 2017 that deductible is $1,380 per event. It will change every year, but with a Medigap Plan N that doesn’t matter. Your supplement will pay it. Without a supplement you pay the deductible up front, then have 60-days of hospital coverage before you start paying a copay. With Medicare supplement Plan N you can be an inpatient in the hospital for more than 365 days with 100% coverage. You will have no out of pocket costs for Part A. The asterisks indicate that you have the Medicare supplement Plan N copay. You will be required to pay up to a $20 co-pay for every doctor visit and a $50 copay for every emergency room visit unless you end up an inpatient in the hospital. Then the $50 copay is waived. The important qualifying words here are “up to”…$20. Here is what you can expect. So notice that with Medicare supplement Plan N you have 100% coverage until you get down to this line item referring to the Medicare Part B deductible and Medicare Part B excess charges. Here Medigap Plan N has no coverage at all. You are expected to pay those fees out of pocket. That’s important. Later in this video I am going to go over a real life example using a common joint replacement that will clear up some of the most common questions and misunderstandings about Medigap Plan N. In order to evaluate if Medicare supplement Plan N is right for you, you need to know what the Medicare Part B deductible is and what it is expected to be in the future. It’s also critical that you understand Medicare Part B excess charges. So let’s focus on these and then go over a real life example to show you how Medicare supplement Plan N works with office visits, hospital stays and physical therapy. If a doctor or hospital does not accept Medicare assigned rates, they are paid 5% less from Medicare, but allowed to charge you 15% more. The amount the doctor or hospital charges you that is more than what Medicare pays the doctor for that service is called an excess charge. Excess charges are only allowed on Medicare Part B services. Those are outpatient and physician services. There are also some states that either forbid or severely restrict Medicare Part B excess charges. These state laws are called Medicare Override Measure or MOM laws. If you live in either Connecticut, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Rhode Island or Vermont your state either forbids or limits Medicare Part B excess charges. for Part D drug plan info visit: http://www.medicare.gov Also visit : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medigap Get your Medicare Guide to supplements here: https://www.medicare.gov/Pubs/pdf/02110-Medicare-Medigap.guide.pdf And your Medicare & You Guide here: https://www.medicare.gov/pubs/pdf/10050-Medicare-and-You.pdf

Though Medigap Plan F pays 100% of the gaps in Medicare, it also has the highest premium. But is it worth it? Or are there better options for Medicare supplement plans that you should look at? Medicare Supplement Plan F is the most comprehensive plan offered by Medicare. It pays 100% of the gaps of Medicare Part A and Part B. What does this mean? With a Medicare supplement Plan F you'll receive no medical bills on all approve Medicare expenses. And the benefits of Medicare Supplement Plan F in 2019 are not changing, though the premiums could be raising substantially due to an increase in the Medicare Part B premium. So whether you're retiring, changing Medicare supplement plans, or just turning 65 be sure to also compare Medicare Supplement Plan G for 2019 as well. Click the link below to watch my video on Plan G. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s6UkiEZM430 Medicare Supplement Plan F for 2018 covers all the gaps in Medicare Part A and B. This means no co-pays, no deductibles to pay, and no coinsurance. You can simply show your Medicare card and your supplement card to any doctor, specialist, and hospital that accepts Part B Medicare and you'll never get a bill. If you're the type of person that never wants to ever receive a medical bill then Plan F for 2019 is definitely worth looking at. The most important thing to remember is that Medicare Supplement Plans are offered by private insurance companies, yet they are standardized by Medicare. This means that regardless of the plan letter, such as Plan F, each carrier must offer the exact same benefits within each plan letter. One of the most popular Medicare supplement plans of 2019 will most certainly still be Medicare supplement Plan F, even though it's going away in 2020. Therefore a Mutual of Omaha Plan F has the exact same benefits as an AARP Medicare Supplement plan F. The only difference is the amount of money you pay each month, which I guarantee you will in fact be different! In fact in some cases choosing the wrong company can result in you overpaying by hundreds or even thousands of dollars each year for the same coverage. Don't be this person! Just because a company has a low premium today, doesn't mean they're the best choice for next year or the year after. I keep my clients in the lowest premiums every year and they love it, and believe me it's not hard to do. However you would be surprised how many agents do not do this for their clients. One of the biggest reasons is that many people become an agent for Medicare Supplement plans hoping to make a great living. The truth is that 4 out of 5 agents end up leaving the industry after only one year! I started Medisupps.com back in 2009 and have personally helped over 2500 people with their Medicare Supplement insurance. Using an independent broker such as myself can result in massive savings every year. I check the rates for my clients each year so you don't have to. This results in you paying the least amount possible for your Medicare Supplement insurance coverage each year. The question is, how much will you pay for Medicare Supplement Plan F in 2019 or 2020 if you choose it? And is it really worth it? Medicare supplement Plan F is great coverage, but is there another way to save more money? You bet there is! And considering Medicare Supplement Plan F is being eliminated from the supplement plan lineup for new people in 2020, it's best to look at other options to avoid the likely high rate increases that will come along with that plan going away. Medigap Plan F - Is it STILL the best choice?

07:55
https://www.remedigap.com [888-411-1329] Chances are you’ve heard of Medigap Plan F. It’s known as the cadillac of all ten Medigap standardized plans. But even though Medicare Plan F has been popular for years, is it still the best plan? But does that mean Medicare Supplement Plan F is still the best choice? Today I’ll share 3 facts about Plan F and go over actual client cases and their average rate increases for the last three years. So how do I know about Medicare and Medigap insurance? Let me tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Joann Quinn. I’m Co-founder of REMEDIGAP.com and a Medicare Supplement Specialist (aka insurance agent...but far from the stereotypical type). I’m also a former teacher and my passion for educating transfers over to Medicare. Here are 3 facts about Plan F. Fact #1 Medigap Plan F has the best benefits of all ten Medigap Plans. It’s the only plan to offer 100% coverage in all categories. In a nutshell, it covers all Medicare deductibles, co pays and coinsurance. If you go to the doctor and Medicare pays its portion of the bill, Plan F will pay the rest. Fact #2 Medicare Supplement Plan F is first dollar coverage. That means it pays immediately including the Part B deductible that must be met before Medicare will begin paying its portion costs...which is 80%. In actuality, it’s the insurance carrier paying the part b deductible for you. But, just because it pays the deductible for you doesn’t mean you’re not paying it. Do you really think the insurance company is going to let you get away with a freebie? Most of the time, that deductible is incorporated into your premium. Fact #3 Plan F is going away and staying around, so let’s clear up the rumor. Congress decided that insurance companies can longer sell first dollar coverage plans beginning Jan 1, 2020 to anyone newly eligible for Medicare. Don’t panic! If you’re enrolled in Medicare or were eligible for Medicare before that date...no worries...you can still buy Plan F after 2020 or keep the Plan F you already have.

What Are The Best Medicare Supplement Plans (Medigap) In 2019?

08:32
Best Medicare supplement plans. Get a free quote: http://medicaresavingscenter.com or call 800-208-4974. This video explains what the best Medicare supplement plans are in 2019. In 2019, the best Medicare supplemental insurance plans are plan F, G and N. Plan G is the #1 plan with plan N and F as runner ups. If you are in CA or another state that has a birthday rule, then going with Plan F to start is usually a good idea. Please refer to my video about Medicare supplement plans in California if you are a resident there. The lower rates and most importantly lower rate increases on Plan G and N make these plans far more superior over Plan F. In almost every case the premium difference between F and G more than covers the only benefit difference which is $183 for the year. For example, the most you would pay out of pocket for the year with Plan G is $183 and the premium difference between F and G is almost always more than $183, thus saving you money. The best way to save money is to allow us to shop the rates for you and ensure you will not be overpaying for your supplement plan. IN addition, by being one of our clients you will have the benefit of annual rate reviews to ensure you will not be in the situation in the future where you are overpaying! As the rates go up over time, the best defense is a broker (us) who will shop the rate each year. Call us at 800-208-4974 for a FREE quote comparison. Medicare Supplement Plan G vs F vs N (What's Changing?)

21:35

I compare Medicare supplements (aka Medigap Plans) to help you make an informed decision about which Medicare supplement is best for you. For most people turning 65, Medicare supplement Plan G will offer the best value today. However, there are changes in the relationship between Medicare supplement Plan G and Medigap Plan F and Plan N that you should be aware of before you make a decision. In this video, I will show you these changes and discuss how they may impact your decision making as you decide if the Plan G Medicare supplement is right for you. Plus a simple technique you can use to evaluate which plan is right for you. This is for two reasons – first; because the previously popular plans Medicare supplement Plan F and Plan C are being phased out as of January 2020. Second, Medicare supplement Plan G is usually a lower premium AND a better value. Most people shopping for a Medigap Plan today find Medicare supplement Plan G as their best value. Let’s take a quick look at the Medicare supplement plans so you can see why: . In the column below the Plan letter you can see the percentage of insurance coverage offered by that plan. For example; Medigap Plan F show 100% coverage in each category all the way down. That means that Medicare supplement plan F covers 100% of all the co-pays and deductibles that you would normally have to pay with Medicare Part A (inpatient hospital coverage) and Medicare Part B (outpatient coverage). It’s a great plan and would be an easy decision for many people entering Medicare, except that it is being phased out in January 2020 and Plan G usually offers equal benefits for less money. Take a look -- Medicare supplement Plan G has all the same benefits except this row right here: Medicare Part B deductible. That is a calendar year annual deductible. It resets every January 01. It can change every year. In 2017 it’s just $183. We expect it to increase to $250 over the next five to seven years. That’s it. All you pay is the annual Medicare Part B annual deductible and your premium. Other than that, Medicare and your Medigap Plan G pay all your Medicare related in-patient and outpatient expenses. The math here is simple, if Plan G is $183 less in premiums per year, then it would be exactly equal to Plan G. You pay the $183 deductible out of pocket, then you have all the same benefits as a Plan F. However, Medicare Supplement Plan G is usually $300 to $400 a year less in premiums than a Medigap Plan F. That means you can pay the $183 Medicare part B deductible out of pocket and have money left over. That makes it a better value. People considering a Medigap Plan G often compare the price and benefits to a Medigap Plan N. Plan N usually cost much less than Plan G, but there is a catch! In fact, Medicare supplement Plan N can cost 25% to 35% less than a Medigap Plan G. However, Plan N has less coverage and an asterisks you need to be aware of. Just like with Medigap Plan G, with Medigap Plan N you pay that Medicare Part B deductible out of pocket. The asterisks indicate that you will also pay a small co-pay of up to $20 when you see a doctor, $50 for an emergency room visit. Medicare supplement Plan G is for those who want peace-of-mind. Once you have a Plan G you don’t have to worry about co-pays or excess charges or anything. You can see any doctor, whether they charge excess charges or not. You pay a little extra, but you have peace-of-mind that your healthcare is taken care of. for Part D drug plan info visit: http://www.medicare.gov Also visit : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medigap Get your Medicare Guide to supplements here: https://www.medicare.gov/Pubs/pdf/02110-Medicare-Medigap.guide.pdf And your Medicare & You Guide here: https://www.medicare.gov/pubs/pdf/10050-Medicare-and-You.pdf

2019 PLAN F VS Plan G WHITE BOARD COMPARISON

06:24
https://www.mymedicaretoday.com Pardon the video being up and down, I used this on Facebook. I'm trying to make the comparison as simple and to the point as possible here. Medicare Supplement or Medigap plans are often overcomplicated. I often find that my customers want an easy explanation of which to get. So in layman's terms, it depends on the person which is "BETTER". With the Plan F, you're paying for convenience, but over time, it will probably cost you a great deal extra because of higher statistical increases. This might still come in handy when you reach a much higher age and can't remember what bills you owe, since the Plan F pays all costs associated with Medicare Part A and B. Plan G is definitely the better value. It still pays all of the main things, but you pay your own Part B deductible (currently $183 as of 2018). This plan saves you much more than that in premium typically, and it also saves you over time as the increases are historically lower. Yes, plan F is going away, but not until January 1st of 2020. And it is only going away for people that get Medicare After that date. So, if you have it before then, you can keep it. Also, if you got Medicare before then, you should still be able to purchase the Plan F, given there are still insurance companies offering it. I hope this helps with your decisions. If you'd like a quote on different plans, click here: https://goo.gl/S3pb88 As alway, you can call me at 1-800-462-3980 or email me at justin@msgap.net https://bobbybrockinsurance.com West Virginia Medicare Plan F or Plan G West Virginia Medicare Plans South Carolina Medicare Plans Turning 65 Medicare West Virginia Missouri Medicare Plan F or Plan G Medicare Supplement Plans for West Virginia Other helpful videos are here: How we shop rates for you - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XrzX2U8Bcms&t=104s 2018 Medicare Update- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-iZe3P5EsOI&t=2s Other Plan F vs Plan G comparisons- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GqwHKC_xvNk&t=127s How to pick a drug plan or Part D- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wNiBEOL0yC4 Medicare Frequently Asked Questions- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dL-ATJ2ekD4&t=4s Medicare is a whirlwind of information! Call us at 1-800-462-3980 or 662-321-0996 anytime! WEST VIRGINIA PLAN F IS GOING AWAY MEDIGAP PLAN F IS GOING AWAY IS PLAN G GOING AWAY TOO WHY PLAN N MEDIGAP This time of year MILLIONS of senior citizens flock to the internet to find an answer as to how they can lower their healthcare out of pocket cost. It does not fall on deaf ears that you folks are all living on a fixed income, and costs continue to go up, up, and away! Where we come in is being able to subjectively shop your quote between the top names in Medicare each year. We can shop your Medicare Supplement plans without jeopardizing your ability to see the physicians and hospitals you want, and we can lower your costs most of the time without sacrificing your level of coverage! One of the most confusing things happening right now is the law MACRA that is phasing out Plan F for Medicare Beneficiaries who are turning 65 after January 1st, 2020. Right now there are a plethora of rumors going around as to how this will affect you the Medicare Beneficiary. Rumor ONE - Your Medicare Supplement Plan F will go away in 2020, and you'll be stuck with no coverage. Truth - Your Medicare Supplement Plan F is grandfathered in, and you will not fall without coverage just because you didn't change before that deadline. Rumor TWO - Plan F is being phased out January 1st, 2020 and this will mean your Plan F price is going to soar! Change now or sacrifice not being able to afford coverage later. Truth - There is some truth to this. Statistically you can see trends with carriers increasing Plan F at a more rapid rate than Plans G and N. Plan G has been the go to alternative to FAN FAVORITE Plan F for the last few years, but it is likely you'll see Plan N drop into that spot VERY SOON. Rumor THREE - Plan G will become the GUARANTEED ISSUE plan after January 1st, 2020, which will inadvertently swap the Plan F and Plan G rate increase momentums. TRUTH - This is actually a real possibility. Obviously rate increase projection is always speculation or an educated guess, but we can make a valuable assumption that Plan G increases will become more severe once they are the plan that has to absorb the GUARANTEED ISSUE business (Guaranteed Issue means you're outside of regular open enrollment but have a Special Qualifying Event that renders your Medicare Supplement company unable to ask qualifying health questions).

What is Medigap and What Do Medigap Plans Cover?

05:30
Wondering what is Medigap? In this video, we explain what Medigap plans are, how they work, what they cover, and why it’s so important not to miss your one-time Medigap open enrollment window. When you turn 65 and you begin using your Medicare benefits, you’ll notice that your medical services aren’t free. You’ll have inpatient and outpatient deductibles to pay as well as copays for things like visits to the doctor. The most expensive thing that you also must pay is your coinsurance. Medicare Part B only pays for 80% of your expenses. This leave you paying the other 20% for things like labwork, diagnostic imaging, medical supplies and even big-ticket items like outpatient surgery or chemotherapy. What’s really concerning is that there no cap our out of pocket limit on that 20%. You pay it forever with no stopping point. Paying 20% of the cost of a surgery or dialysis could be financially devastating. Fortunately, there’s a way for you to protect yourself against those future expenses, and that is by signing up for a Medigap policy during your Medigap open enrollment window. What Medigap Plans Are A Medigap plan, sometimes called a Medicare supplement plan – same thing – is a supplemental health insurance policy that fills in the gaps in Medicare’s coverage. Here’s how it works: Your medical provider bills Medicare for your healthcare services that you received. Medicare processes your claim and pays it share, minus any deductibles and coinsurance that you would normally be responsible for. Medicare then sends the remainder of that bill onto your Medigap policy which will then kick in to help you pay for some of those deductibles, copays and coinsurance that would normally be your responsibility. What Medigap Plans Cover There are currently 10 standardized Medigap plans available in all states except Minnesota, Massachusetts, and Wisconsin, where plans are slightly different. But most of you will have these 10 plans to choose from, and each plan covers a different set of benefits. The most comprehensive plans, like Plan F and Plan G, leave you with little to nothing out of pocket. There are also less comprehensive Medigap plans like Plan N with lower premiums that pay for some of your gaps and leave others for you to pay. This gives you the ability to choose a plan that has the right price and the right benefits for you. Because the federal government standardized Medigap plans in most states, you can shop the plans in your area based on price. For example, the benefits for a Plan G policy are the same no matter which insurance company you purchase it from. Here at Boomer Benefits, when we provide quotes for our clients, we quote all the insurance companies in their zip code, and in addition to their current rates, we also look at their rate increase history. This helps us narrow down to the insurance company that is the perfect choice for that client. Your One-Time Medigap Open Enrollment Window Everyone gets a 6-month open enrollment window to enroll in any Medigap plan they want. This window starts with your Part B effective date, and it is a “use it or lose it” window. This can be really important if you have some serious health conditions. You’ll have this one opportunity to buy a Medigap plan with no underwriting and no health questions asked. Sometimes we meet people who tell us that they were pretty healthy when they turned 65, so they failed to exercise that one-time chance to get any Medigap policy they wanted. They thought that they would just wait until they get sick, and then they would buy the Medigap policy. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work like that in most states. If you miss your open enrollment window, you can still apply for a Medigap plan later on, but they don’t have to accept you. They can turn you down for health conditions. This would leave you paying that 20% out of pocket on your own indefinitely. For something like cancer when you would be paying 20% of the cost of chemotherapy or radiation costs, this can be financially devastating, so if you want Medigap coverage, be sure not to miss your window. Medigap Plan G is less expensive than Medigap Plan F and offers only 1 single difference. The only difference is the annual part b deductible of $166. Additionally, the rate increases with Medigap Plan G are often less than that of Plan F, which makes it a better all around solution for nearly everyone. That means that your premium will be less in the beginning and will stay lower over time, which is a win/win. If another agent compared Plan F vs Plan G for you and still said that Plan F was the best option, then it’s very likely that agent is looking out for their commission, not your best interest. Average annual savings can reach $600 per year in year one alone and they go up after that because of the rate stability. What is Medigap Insurance and Do You Need It?

08:59
Get Medigap Help: https://www.remedigap.com or call 888-411-1329 In this video, I'll explain how Medigap works, how you're responsible for the 20% Medicare won't cover. I'll also provide a case study on someone who needed to get Medigap - but waited too long and was unable too due to a health issue. ---- Medicare only covers 80% of your healthcare costs, leaving you with the remaining 20% coinsurance with no out of pocket maximum. The entire 20% is your responsibility and doesn’t reset at the beginning of the year. I’ll tell you how Medigap works to protect you from that 20% coinsurance so you can make informed decisions about your benefits. So, what is medigap insurance and do you need it? Whether or not you need Medigap insurance is a personal decision and definitely an important one as Medicare only covers 80% of your healthcare costs. And because Medicare doesn’t have an out of pocket limit, the remaining 20% can continue to grow leaving you financially vulnerable. And, no one wants to be in a vulnerable position - especially when it comes to your money. Most people are used to coinsurance. You probably had it at some point. But the main difference between your under age 65 health insurance and Medicare is the out of pocket limit -- which Medicare doesn’t have. Now, If we take a look at the average person visiting the doctor a Medicare Part B claim might be $100. Medicare pays 80% of that...so, $80 and you pay $20. You might be thinking, “no big deal”. A few doctor visits a year isn't going to break the bank. And that’s true for many people. But you need to take two things into consideration -- #1 You don’t know what the future holds in terms of your health. #2 Medicare doesn’t have an Out of Pocket limit. This is where Medigap insurance comes into play. Medigap is private insurance that’s meant to fill in the gaps of what Medicare doesn’t cover - such as the 20% coinsurance. And, The most popular plans F, G, and N will cover that 20% coinsurance...offering you financial protection and peace of mind. When you first enroll in Medicare, you get a one time use it or lose it opportunity and it’s called a Medigap Open Enrollment Period. This is when you can put a Medigap plan in place without answering any health questions or go through medical underwriting. So, if your Part B effective date is February 1, the Medigap Open Enrollment period allows you to buy a plan and have it begin in Feb, Mar, Apr, May, Jun, or Jul...it’s an important 6 month window, because when it closes -- it can’t be reopened. Why is that so important? Think back to that 20% coinsurance. If you decide to not add a Medigap plan during your Medigap Open Enrollment period, then you leave yourself financially vulnerable. And, If you decide to add a Medigap plan later when something happens, it just might be too late. After 6 month window closes, you have to answer the health questions and get approved by the insurance company’s medical underwriting department. So there’s no guarantee that a policy will be yours. You’ve now put the decision making in the hands of the insurance company. So, are you still wondering what is medigap and do you need it? If so, make sure to watch this video. The good news is you don’t have to make a decision right this very second. In fact, you might want some more information or even some more guidance. So, I have more good news, you don’t have to look very far, because help is right in front of you...hello! Give me a call or send me an email if you prefer and I’ll get your questions answered and help move you through the process. Medicare Supplement Plans 2019 | What Do I Need to Do? Christopher Westfall

http://SeniorSavingsNetwork.org 1-800-729-9590 2019 Medicare Supplement Plans | What Do I Need to Do? If you are on a Medicare Supplement plan, this end-of-the-year Medicare season has nothing to do with you, except for the need you have to shop your drug plan. Medicare Supplements (not to be confused with Medicare "Advantage" plan), do not change benefits and you cannot be canceled from such a plan. Your Medicare Supplement, whether Plan G, Plan F, Plan N, etc. will remain with the same benefits as when you signed up. What can change? The rates. If you are notified of a rate increase, you can shop your Medicare Supplement plan ANY time of the year, not just in October, November, or December of each year. You are in complete control and there is not a "season" for shopping Medicare Supplement plans. Medicare Advantage plans change every year and it is critically important that you shop those plans during the small, eight-week period of the "Annual Election Period." We do not specialize in these plans due to their complexity and the number of problems we have seen with senior clients on these, sometimes "free"/no premium HMO plans throughout the country. My Medicare Supplement shopping service is 100% free. If you would like to know the BEST plans available where you live, please call me at 1-800-729-9590. You can actually call 24 hours a day here. We will get you the best, unbiased, independent rate information customized for what you qualify for, which is far different than just giving you a "quote engine" and having you look at companies that might not even be available for you, given, your health qualifications, etc. If you would like to NOT have to become and insurance agent in order to figure out the best plan and you would like some behind-the-scenes help from an agency who has helped thousands of clients in 46 states over the past 25 years, please call my office. There is no charge for my help. How? The same way there is no charge for your auto insurance agent's help, or homeowner's insurance agent. We work the same way. By being independent, we work for our client, not the insurance company. This way, we keep your best interest in mind when shopping the market. We will show you all of the available companies, then make a recommendation based on our actual experience with those companies in your market. This experience is priceless in the selection process. As discussed in this video https://youtu.be/TRMX3LZJ2bU Medicare Advantage plans have many differences to a Medicare Supplement (Medigap) Plan. The biggest is the network, in a Medicare Advantage Plan you will be required to stay in Network for all your Medicare procedures. This fact alone can cause some major problems if you need a specialist or care facility out of Network. The second biggest issue is that the plan can change at any time and you are locked in for a year. Your best option in most circumstances is to go with a Medicare Supplement during your original open enrollment and then making a change next year if you feel it is not a good fit or that the premiums are much to high. _________________________________________________________________ **Dont miss a single Medicare Supplement video Click Below to SUBSCRIBE** https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCpeawY2B_hUuZhV26QAwRuQ?sub_confirmation=1 _________________________________________________________________ Loran Marmes Medicare Solutions Team 844-528-8688 https://medigapinfo.net/ Facebook: https://business.facebook.com/medicaresolutionsteam

Medigap Insurance 2018: Which Medicare Supplement Plan is Best? Plan F vs Plan G

08:45
Medigap Insurance 2018: Which Medicare Supplement Plan is Best? Plan F vs Plan G CLICK HERE http://seniormarketsolutions.com - 1-800-784-8969 The 2 most popular Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plans are Plan F & Plan G. Medicare Supplements - 5 Things To Know Before You Buy A Medicare Supplemental Policy

07:00
Call (888) 310-0376 to Compare All Medicare Supplement Plans in Your State. Get Instant Access http://free-mini-course.com I explain 5 things you should know about Medicare Supplements before you buy. As far as Medicare Plans go, Medicare supplemental coverage is a little easier to understand than Medicare Advantage. So what is Medicare supplement insurance and how does it work? Medicare supplemental insurance is also known as Medigap. It is private health insurance designed to supplement original Medicare by helping to pay some of your share of costs for Medicare-covered services. Medicare supplement plans are standardized insurance policies and are designated by the letters A through N. Standardization means that the same plan will generally have identical benefits no matter which company sells it. The second thing you should be aware of is that Medicare supplements are different than Medicare Advantage plans. While a Medigap policy pays your share of costs after Medicare pays, an Advantage Plan is another way to get your Medicare benefits and these benefits are paid by the plan. Medicare Advantage Plans are often PPOs or HMOs and require you to receive services from network providers. Medicare supplement policies on the other hand allow you in most cases (except Medicare Select) to choose your own providers without network restrictions. You cannot be canceled from your supplement unless you stop paying premiums. Advantage Plans are good for one year and require you to renew annually. Get Instant Access - http://free-mini-course.com - Unlock the information you need to choose the best plan for your circumstances. The third thing you should know is when you can buy a Medicare supplement. The best time to buy is during your Medigap Open Enrollment Period which lasts for 6 months and begins when you are both 65 or older and eligible for Part B. This in the best time to buy because an insurance company cannot: Refuse to sell you any policy it sells Make you wait for coverage Charge you more due to health problems Another time to get Medicare supplemental coverage is when you are entitled to Guaranteed Issue Rights. These rights are triggered by a change in your circumstances, such as; your Medicare Advantage Plan leaving Medicare or not renewing for the following year or your employer or Union group insurance is ending. The fourth thing you should know is how to compare Medicare Supplement Plans. Standardization make comparing plans easy. Once you look at the Medicare supplement benefits chart you will be able to see what is covered by each plan and then compare that plan across several companies. Fifth, you need to be aware that Medicare supplement rates can vary widely between plans. It's not uncommon to see $100 or more difference in monthly premiums for the same plan. Plans that are worthy of consideration include Medicare supplement Plan F and Plan N. Plan F is the most popular nationally and the most comprehensive. Medicare supplement Plan N is a good option if you can handle a little out-of-pocket expense. When comparing Medicare supplement policies remember that the best Medicare supplement is the one that fits your budget and gives you the most bang for your buck.

If something happens, you get ill and you are looking at higher medical costs in the near future, you can switch to the Medicare supplement plan with the most comprehensive coverage. Medicare Supplement Plan N (2019) Https://www.Medisupps.com 888-891-0229 Learn Why Medicare Supplement Plan N in 2019 is one of the best choices for Medicare Supplement Insurance! This will be one of the most popular choices for Medicare supplement plans in 2019 and 2020. You owe it to yourself to get the facts regardless of which Medicare supplement plan your considering, and I assure you that you will be amazed at how much lower the premiums can be for the plans from each carrier. Let us help! Medicare supplement plan N is quickly becoming one of the most popular Medigap plans available today. Many people are enjoying the lower premiums as well as the outstanding coverage that Medicare supplement plan N in 2019 provides. Although Medigap plan F and G are still more popular than this plan, more and more people are realizing that if they are healthy or coming off a Medicare advantage plan, Medicare supplement plan N is one of the best choices to enroll in. Medicare Supplement plan F will no longer be offered to new beneficiaries after January 1st of 2020! This is because plan N has lower premiums each month than plan F or plan G. The tradeoff however, is that with plan N you might have some additional out of pocket expenses. These expenses include things like the part B annual deductible, up to a $20.00 co pay per doctor's visit, and perhaps a $50.00 co pay if you visit the emergency room but you're not admitted. And although Medicare supplement plan N does not cover part B excess charges, most people do not ever see these charges and if they do they are typically minimal. Therefore you should not be concerned with any additional out of pocket expenses if the premiums are low enough to consider Medicare supplement plan N over plan G or plan F. Here are some helpful tips on how to compare Medicare supplement plans. Comparing Medicare supplement plans is relatively easy because plans are standardized. For example, Medicare supplement Plan F will include the same benefits no matter which insurance company offers it. Some things to consider once you have decided on a plan are the monthly premium, the customer service from the company offering the plan and the pricing model. When to Choose Medicare Plan FHD Must See in New York and Florida

When to Choose Medicare Plan FHD - Must See for New York and Florida. Complete Medicare Resource Center here: http://www.medsupsavings.com/ 877-88KEITH (53484) Best Medicare Supplement Plan: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WGqCGQNF5mw Medicare Plan N - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vORbZsWDrzg Medicare Supplement Plan F HD and What You Should Know about What It Covers Medicare Supplement Plan F HD is part of a group of comprehensive supplement plan options for Medicare participants. This plan helps cover gaps left from Medicare coverage Part A and B. The plan is similar to popular option plan F and common choice for those seeking supplement plan coverage. This high deductible plan is known to have lower premiums depending on service coverage, but in the long run it can help make healthcare costs easier and affordable. Here is a brief summary of what you should know about this supplement plan. What Does Medicare Supplement Plan F HD Cover? After the annual deductible plan F HD covers the deductible associated with Part A coverage. The plan covers the deductible for the year period and three pints of blood. Plan F HD covers coinsurance of a hospital stay for 61 to 365 days. Coinsurance for skilled nursing care facilities and hospice care is also covered. For Part B insurance about 20 percent of costs approved by Medicare, the yearly deductible and excess charges from Medicare (what Medicare did not cover from a service), is covered in Plan F HD. Foreign travel health emergencies under Part A or B are covered. Medicare Part B premium payments are not covered under Plan F HD. Keep in mind income guidelines for Part A premiums apply. This means you could be responsible for paying Part A premiums if your income is high enough; in this case Plan F would not cover the deductible. What Costs Are Associated with the Plan? Applicants can get a quote detailing how much they would pay under Plan F HD. Applicants close to their 65th birthday may be eligible to receive lower rates. This is obtained through the open enrollment period which continues for a few months after your birthday. You can apply if you are seeking Part A or B coverage. During your initial enrollment you can't be turned down and medical underwriting is waived. Plan F HD helps cover the first 60 days of hospitalization. If hospitalization continues past 60 days Medicare pays a specific amount each day and Plan F HD will pick up what is left over. If hospital stay is continuously needed after 365 days Plan F HD could pick up all costs. The number of days Plan F HD covers for skilled nursing and hospice care varies. This plan also has other factors that help determine your costs such the age you obtain coverage, the premium amount issued based on your age and community rating in which people in a certain age bracket would pay the same premium amount for their policy. Additional Details to Know Medicare Supplement Plan F HD Compare other supplement plan options for Medicare costs if Plan F HD does not seem suitable. This plan has a high deductible version that is recommended for those in good health. Plan G is the most common alternative option to this plan. It offers similar coverage but is considered affordable considering deductible costs you have to pay before the supplement policy covers gap expenses. ================================================== QUICK AND EASY MEDICARE SUPPLEMENT QUOTES http://www.medsupsavings.com/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Med-Sup-Savings/1709195569306815 Twitter: https://twitter.com/MedSupSavings LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/pub/keith-armbrecht/5/11b/3a0 YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/BigHealthGreatWealth

The A, B, C’s of Medigap plans (Medicare Supplements)

07:47
The A, B & C’s of Medicare supplement plans (Medigap)explained by Tim Hanbury and Jason Mackey, authors of Medicare Blueprint. You will hear these plans called Medigap or Medicare supplement plans. Actually, they are the same thing and both names are used frequently. Medicare calls them Medigap plans, so we will use that term. As the name implies, it fills in the gaps in coverage of Medicare. These plans are sold by private insurance companies. The good news is that Medicare has standardized these plans to make it easier to compare them. So, for example, Plan G from ABC insurance company will have the same benefits as Plan G from XZY insurance company. There are 10 standardized plans and unfortunately, they are named by letters as well and this is where some people get confused about the different Parts and Plans. The plans range from Plan A to Plan N. Now, let’s look at a comparison of the plans. The plans give you a choice of how much out of pocket that you want to have. Plan F is one of the most popular plans since it covers 100% of the gaps in Medicare. It is also the most expensive plan. Another popular plan is Plan G.This plan covers all the same benefits as Plan F, except the for the Part B deductible. In most states, these are the only two plans that cover 100% of excess charges. Plan N is also a popular plan. This plan covers the same benefits as Plan G except after paying the Part B deductible, you will have a $20 copay for some office visits and up to a $50 copay for emergency room visits. Except for the eight states listed in the video, Plan N does not cover excess charges. What are excess charges? Medicare allows providers who don’t accept Medicare as payment in full to bill you for the remaining balance. This is typically called “balance billing”.Unlike employer or individual insurance, Medicare puts a limit on how much they can balance bill. The cap is about 15% above the Medicare approved amount. That doesn’t sound like a big cost for say an office visit, but what about a physician charge for outpatient surgery or an ER visit? We routinely see ER visits that cost thousands of dollars and that 15% can add up. Can you change to another insurance company? Yes, you can, but you will have to answer medical questions andif you have a severe medical condition the insurance company can either exclude coverage pre-existing conditions for 6 months or they can decline to cover you. This is why it is so important to not just look at the monthly premiums, because you may only have one chance to pick a Medigap plan. You need to look at the financial ratings and their history of increases. We have a software that shows all of this information. And in almost every case, the company with the lowest cost will end up costing you a lot more down the road. They lure people to buy with a low initial rate and then have big rate increases after the first year or two. Why do people choose Medigap plans? Well, you can go to any provider in the United States that accepts Medicare which is the majority of physicians and hospitals. You have the freedom to go to the providers that you want to see and not restricted by a network. Insurance companies don’t manage the care you receive. If Medicare approves the claim, then the insurance company pays their portion based on the plan you have. If Medicare pays, the insurance plan pays. You also have a wide choice of plans, so you can choose the coverage and the out of pocket that you are comfortable with.Plus, since the plan designs are standardized, you don’t have to change every year. The plans automatically renew as long as you pay the premium. Medicare does have a change starting in 2020. Plan Fwill no longer be offered to people turning 65 after January 1st, 2020. Anyone currently on a Plan F will be able to keep it and change to another insurance company offering Plan F as long as the medically qualify. Medicare Supplement Plan G (Best Medigap Plan for 2018)- Find out why it is my favorite!

Medicare Supplement Plan G (2018)- Find out why it is my favorite! CLICK HERE http://seniormarketsolutions.com - 1-800-784-8969 Medicare supplement Plan G aka Medigap Plan G is fast becoming the most popular Medigap choice for those people turning 65. Medicare Supplement Plan G is identical to Plan F, with the exception of the Part B deductible. Once Plan G policyholders pay their Part B deductible ($183 for 2018), they essentially have the Plan F. Plan G monthly premiums are typically much less expensive than the Plan F premiums. Therefore, although the deductible is not covered, Plan G policyholders will typically save money overall with the Plan G due to the premium difference. Ultimately, Medigap Plan G has the same benefits as the Plan F, minus the Part B deductible ($183 for 2018). Once the Part B deductible is paid, they both offer full coverage. UPDATED MEDICARE PLAN G INFORMATION FOR 2018 READ AND WATCH IF YOU ARE ASKING WHAT IS PLAN G? •Medicare Supplement Plan G does not pay the Part B annual deductible of $ 183.00 once per year. •Medicare Supplement Plan G pays the Part B excess when you see a provider that does not accept Medicare Assignment. •Medicare Supplement Plan G pays the 20% remainder of Medicare Approved Amounts. •Medicare Supplement Plan G pays 100% of the Part B excess when you see a provider that does not accept Medicare Assignment. •Medicare Supplement Plan G pays the $ 1340.00 Part A Deductible. •Medicare Supplement Plan G includes the Basic Benefits, pays the Part A deductible and includes the Skilled Nursing Coinsurance. •Medicare Supplement Plan G Includes Foreign Travel Emergency benefits. •Medicare Supplement Plan G includes the hospice coinsurance not paid by Medicare. Bottom Line: The only modernized Medicare Supplement better than G is plan F. Plan G is exactly like plan F except it does not cover the annual Part B deductible of $183. Sometimes, this plan may be more cost efficient than F depending on your age and the state you live. You can check out our video on plan f or plan g. Learn about Medicare supplement plans in Colorado, how to compare and what Medigap plans are best. Call Us For A Free Quote Comparison: 800-208-4974 Visit us at: http://www.medicaresavingscenter.com This video explains what the best Medicare supplement plans are in Colorado, how to compare them and get quotes. It is important to learn about Medicare supplement plans before you go out and purchase a plan. If you live, or are moving to the state of Colorado this video will explain, in detail, what Medigap plans are best and how to go about comparing the plans. Medicare supplement plans also known as "Medigap" plans are insurance plans sold by private insurance companies. They are designed to pay for what Medicare does not pay in full. The three most popular plans are F, G and N. Plan G provides the most value for your premium dollar, and I explain why in the video. One thing, the insurance companies don’t want you to know if that the Medigap plans are exactly the same no matter what company is offering them. For example, Plan F is exactly the same weather it is being offered by UHC, Aetna, Cigna or any other carrier. The only difference is the price! This is why it is important to allow us to help you compare plans, this ensures you won’t be overpaying for your supplement. In addition, all the Medicare supplement plans (Plans A-N) are accepted anywhere in the country that accepts Medicare, regardless of what company the plan is with. For example; you can have a Plan G with any company and it will be accepted anywhere in the country, as long as they take Original Medicare. There are no networks or referrals needed with a Medigap Plan! If you are unsure about which plan is best for you, please give us a call at 800-208-4974. Many folks think Plan F is the "best plan" when in fact you will get much more value out of a Plan G or Plan N. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Our website: http://www.medicaresavingscenter.com Subscribe To Our YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQ_yu7GyDaUjm4Owrmx5QZg Medicare Supplement Plan G vs. F: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nTikSGP502k Medicare Supplement Plans By State: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLhENX2SJv7MsH105gzUFOZGZ3FOL-hDAw

Medicare Supplement Plan N - Best Value?

14:43
Medigap Plan N | https://www.remedigap.com | 888-411-1329 Medicare Supplement Plan N can be a great value. It’s premiums are often 30% less than Plan F and 20% less than Plan G. That means some people can get Plan N for under $100 a month. So what’s the catch? Well, there’s no trickery or super fine print, but there are a couple benefits Plan N doesn’t cover.. Stick with me and I’ll tell you what they are: So, when we talk about Medicare Supplement insurance (which is also known as Medigap), Plan F is usually the first one to come to mind. After all, it’s the one most people have heard of...but when when we’re talking about value we immediately think of Medigap Plan G… but you should not overlook Plan N. It’s low premiums make it a great plan to consider...you just need to be aware of some benefits Medicare Supplement Plan N doesn’t have when compared to Plan G and Plan F. Taking a looking at Plan F, G and N side by side, Plan F, of course covers every benefit on the chart. Plan G and Plan N don’t cover the Part B deductible (that’s what these two plans have in common). Now let’s focus on what else Plan N does not cover, because this is where it separates itself from Plan G. Plan N Copays Medigap Plan N has provider and emergency room copays. This is how it works...Medigap providers can charge you a copay up to $20 per office visit. Now, the key here is the wording “up to $20”. So, it could be a $0 copay, a $20 copay or anything in between...but never more than $20. And, if you visit the emergency room, the copay is $50 per visit. However, that copay is waived if you’re admitted into the hospital and the emergency room visit is covered as a Medicare Part A expense. Okay, that was the easy part. Now, we’re going to focus on the Part B excess charges. This is a covered benefit with Plan F and Plan G, but not with Plan N. The good news is that you are only responsible for excess charges if the provider does not accept Medicare assignment. A doctor can provide care to Medicare patients and not accept Medicare Assignment. That probably bears repeating...a doctor can provide care to Medicare patients and not accept Medicare Assignment. When a Medicare provider doesn’t accept assignment they’re telling Medicare they don’t accept Medicare’s approved amount for payment. When the doctor sends your claim to Medicare, they provide the billed amount for the service. Let’s say the doctor billed $250. But Medicare has a set amount of money they pay for certain services. So, if the doctor billed $250 for your visit and Medicare’s approved amount is $100... the doctor can bill you 15% of Medicare’s approved amount (the $100) but only IF the doctor doesn’t accept Medicare assignment. Basically, the doctor is telling Medicare that they’ll see Medicare patients, but they don’t agree on Medicare’s approved amount. So they elect to not accept Medicare Assignment and therefore can send you a bill for 15% above Medicare’s approved amount for your claim. They can’t charge you more than 15% of the Medicare-approved amount...this is the limiting charge. So...Is this a deal breaker when considering Plan N? Well, it shouldn’t be. But you do need to be prudent in knowing if any of your providers don’t accept assignment. And, that includes specialists and any doctors who might treat you at the hospital. There’s an easy way to see if a provider accepts assignment. Now, you can always call a doctor’s office and ask...but, you never know who is on the other end of the phone and whether or not they understand what Medicare assignment means. That’s why I like to use Medicare.gov physician finder tool. As a side note, there are some states that do not allow excess charges (Medicare Overcharge Measure law): Connecticut, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont. Do you have a better understanding of Medigap Plan N? I’d love to know in the comment section below. How Often can I Change Medicare Supplement Plan ?

06:13
http://www.LibertySeniorSavings.com 88 Medicare Questions in 88 Days (888) 506-7510 Changing your Medicare plan all depends on what Medicare type of plan you have. If you have Medicare Advantage you are not on original Medicare. You are limited to networks, copays, the maximum out-of-pocket is $6,700 a year. Any procedure you have HAS to be authorized by the insurance company. Also you cannot travel and be covered by Medicare Advantage. It is an alternative to original Medicare. If you have Medicare Advantage, there is only one time of the year that you can make changes. That time frame is the fall period between October 15 and December 7. That is the only time you can make changes. Those changes don’t actually take effect until the 1st of January. Medicare Supplement on the other hand gives you freedom in choosing your doctor & hospital & there are no networks. You have no copays and no network restrictions. You can travel and be covered. You have choices of deductible. As of 2017, the 2 most popular plans have either zero deductible or $183 Annual deductible. There is NO max out of pocket like Medicare Advantage. You can change a Medicare Supplement 365 times a year if you like. There are no specific times to make changes like the Medicare Advantage. You want to check on several things with those two plans. It’s beneficial to have someone check out your plan. Is that working for you? Do you want to stay with that? Or do you want to go onto a Supplement & be able to choose your doctors/hospital and have no network restrictions? Medicare Advantage is completely different than a Medicare Supplement. Have a look at the screen. It is about the differences between Medicare Advantage vs. Medicare Supplement. Maybe you want something with a stable premium that you know how much you’re going to pay every month and there’s no surprises. So that’s just a thought or maybe you want to make some changes go from one Medicare Advantage company to the other. There is only one time of the year to make a change to your Part D Prescription Drug Plan. That’s the fall period October 15 to December 7. If have changed any of your prescriptions there might be another plan that might be better for you. That’s something that we offer at the check-in on the drug plan in the fall period. We offer this as a customer service only, we don’t actually handle drug plan. There’s just too many plans. We just use www.medicare.gov. Check out article/video on Part D Drug Plan. We show you step by step everything what we do. We just pop those in the mail to you. That way you can analyze it by deductible, premium and max out of pocket. People think that supplements are lumped into that time frame too but that’s not true. We help people change their supplement 365 days a year. Medicare protects seniors by having all the plans being standardized. This means brings the norm or to be the same. So what that means is every Plan G is the exact same benefits as another Plan G in the market. But Medicare doesn’t police what these companies can charge. See on the screen page 100 of the Medicare & You Guide Book 2016 where it states very clearly that insurance companies can charge different premiums for the exact same policy. Keep in mind that you just want to make sure you are comparing Plan F to Plan F or Plan G to Plan G. Customer service is very important here at Liberty Senior Savings. You get mail, cards, Medicare updates all year around. We do the Rate check in with folks. They do not have to change their plan by any means. We just check-in to make sure that there’s not another option for them that they could qualify for that might be less money for them. So on the Medicare Supplements you can change 365 days a year. We can save people $50/$100/$120 a month without changing any of their benefits.

Medicare Supplements | Top Medigap Buying Mistakes

05:07
https://www.abtinsuranceagency.com | (888) 465-9728 Medicare Supplement Plans can offer you excellent health coverage, but we see many people make costly mistakes when it comes to choosing their Medigap Plan. Today I’m talking about some of the top mistakes people make when shopping for Medicare Supplement insurance, and how to avoid them. The first mistake people make when buying a Medicare Supplement Plan is simply not doing their research. I always recommend that people explore all options, and look at your Medicare & You Guidebook – right there on page 79 you can find information about Medigap policies, including how to compare Medigap Plans. Before you talk to an agent or broker, or even call an insurance company direct it’s important to have that base knowledge about Medicare and Medicare Supplement insurance and what it covers. Another mistake people make is buying their plan directly from the insurance company. It can be very tempting to just call up the insurance carrier direct to buy your plan, but you are really doing yourself a disservice when you take that route. The reason being, as soon as you enroll direct with the carrier, you have just given up all of your choices and freedom. The insurance company has an internal sales department and they are more than happy to sell you a policy over the phone. Agent and broker commissions are automatically built into Medigap premiums, so there is never any additional cost to you to use a broker, and when you use an independent broker you are maintaining your freedom to shop other plans in the market. When you do receive rate increases, an independent broker will be able to let you know if there are new competitive prices for your plan in your area. Another mistake I’ll talk about it just enrolling with the cheapest possible company for your Medigap plan. Now, Medigap Plans are standardized, and the same exact plan can vary in cost depending on the company you go with. So while it is important to look at Plan Pricing when making your decision, you also want to look at the insurance company’s financials, and what their rate increase history has been. Sometimes, the best company to go with will be the lowest priced in the market, but often for just a few dollars more you can find a stronger A rated company with better financials that will end up saving you money in the long term. I also want to warn against pushy sales tactics. Especially for folks T65, you’re likely to receive lots of calls in the months before you turn 65. Some folks have told me they actually have thought about changing their phone number. These calls are often from big calls centers and with pushy sales people who are trying to get you to sign up right then and there, and then after that you never hear from them again. Remember that no one from ‘Medicare’ will actually be calling you and you don’t need to enroll before you feel ready. If you’re watching this video, you are already a step ahead of the game in doing your research. If you ever have any questions, or would like a free no obligation quote, please call me at 888-465-9728, or you can send me an email – and I promise your information is always kept private and secure.
