Fr. Mike Schmitz "Reflections on the Holy Mass" — Arlington Diocese Men's Conference 2018
Fr. Mike Schmitz is a priest for the Diocese of Duluth, Minn. He currently runs the Newman Center at the University of Minnesota-Duluth and is also the Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry for the Diocese. He is known nationally for his videos and social and digital presence. Speaking on the meaning of the Mass, Fr. Mike reminds the men, "The heart of religion is worship; and the heart of worship is sacrifice." "Even if [you] don't feel anything (at Mass), it doesn't matter. Why? Because as Catholics, we do not worship an experience; we worship the Reality, God Himself." 11 Secrets to Memorize Things Quicker Than Others
We learn things throughout our entire lives, but we still don’t know everything because we forget a lot of information. Bright Side will tell you about 11 simple memorizing tips that will help you remember everything and improve your memory. TIMESTAMPS Why we forget things 1:04 How to remember everything 2:00 How to memorize something quickly 2:30 How to memorize something for a long time 3:20 Try to understand what you learn 4:17 Learn the most necessary information 5:11 Serial position effect 5:45 Interference theory 6:06 Learn opposite things 7:22 Build your own «mind palace» 7:22 Use «nail words» 8:19 Make up stories 8:40 Use a tape recorder 9:10 Visualize 9:51 Choose only the best materials 9:59 SUMMARY - Your brain is like a hard drive — the space is limited. Remember Sherlock Holmes? He couldn’t name all the planets of the Solar system — this was not because he missed school or something like that, but because he was too smart to have such irrelevant information in his memory. He deliberately erased facts he would never need. This is what your brain does: it protects you from overloading with information. That’s why all new data is stored in the short-term memory, not the long-term one. So, if you don’t repeat it or use it, you forget it very quickly. A German psychologist, Hermann Ebbinghaus researched the memory and its mechanisms. He described the Forgetting Curve which shows that just one hour after learning something new we forget more than half of the learned information. One day later we remember only about 30% percent. Well, you see where this is going. - There is a memorization technique called «Spaced repetition». To keep some information in your head for a longer time, you need to try to put it into your long-term memory. Forced memorization is not very effective in this case because your brain can’t make sense of the information quickly and form strong associations. Here it all depends on the reason why you are learning something. - To memorize something quickly, repeat the information right after learning it. The second repetition should be after 15-20 minutes. You don’t need to return to the information between repetitions — just rest and do something different. Let your brain relax. Repeat the learned material the third time after 6-8 hours. And you should have the final repetition 24 hours after the first contact with the information. Do you know any other memorizing tips? If yes, share them in the comment section below! Motivation to Go to Catholic Mass
You may have heard priests or devout Catholics say something like, “If only people knew what was happening at Mass, they’d be more willing to go.” That may be true, but in this video, Fr. Mike also gets to the more practical—and painfully direct—heart of the matter. He points out that the heart of worship is sacrifice, and ultimately it’s not about how engaged or entertained we are. Mass isn’t about us; it’s about God and what he asks of us. The Mass: A Heavenly of an Experience (Part I)
In this two part talk, Karlo takes the mind and heart on a scriptural journey into the heavenly realm and discovers that the divine drama taking place in Heaven is the very same reality that every Catholic encounters at every Catholic Mass, especially in the Liturgy of the Eucharist. With an in depth study of the Book of Revelation, Karlo pulls out the various details that reveals the nature of the heavenly worship and shows how Catholics on earth, while attending Mass, participate in that very same worship. Karlo demonstrates that the Catholic Mass is truly Heaven on earth and thus a heavenly experience.

The instructions in these lessons are taken directly from God's word and are His instructions for interpreting His Bible.

The Meaning of Advent
http://www.thereligionteacher.com What is the meaning of Advent? The meaning of the word Advent is "to come" or "coming." So you could say that the definition of Advent, meaning coming, is the liturgical season in which we prepare for the coming of Jesus into the world. We spend the four weeks of Advent in preparation for the coming of Jesus into the world. We celebrate and prepare for two comings: the coming of Jesus into the world at Christmas (the Nativity) and the Second Coming when the Son of Man will return riding on the clouds.

John Wauck, a Chicago native, is a priest of the Prelature of Opus Dei. He studied Renaissance History and Literature at Harvard University and holds a doctorate in Philosophy from the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross (Rome), where he currently teaches a course on literature and the communication of the faith. He also teaches the philosophy of art in Catholic University of America's Rome program. Before moving to Italy in 1995, he wrote speeches for the Attorney General of the United States and the Governor of Pennsylvania. He has participated in several documentary films and worked as an on-set consultant on one major motion picture. Our program is based on the three core statements about sacred art in the Catechism of the Catholic Church: Catechism of the Catholic Church 2502 Sacred art is true and beautiful when its form corresponds to its particular vocation: evoking and glorifying, in faith and adoration, the transcendent mystery of God - the surpassing invisible beauty of truth and love visible in Christ, who "reflects the glory of God and bears the very stamp of his nature," in whom "the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily." This spiritual beauty of God is reflected in the most holy Virgin Mother of God, the angels, and saints. Genuine sacred art draws man to adoration, to prayer, and to the love of God, Creator and Savior, the Holy One and Sanctifier. 2503 For this reason bishops, personally or through delegates, should see to the promotion of sacred art, old and new, in all its forms and, with the same religious care, remove from the liturgy and from places of worship everything which is not in conformity with the truth of faith and the authentic beauty of sacred art. 2513 The fine arts, but above all sacred art, "of their nature are directed toward expressing in some way the infinite beauty of God in works made by human hands. Their dedication to the increase of God's praise and of his glory is more complete, the more exclusively they are devoted to turning men's minds devoutly toward God" (SC 122). Spiritual Content Due to the sacred nature of the art that we teach, it is our belief that, if we are to be consistent with our mission, an important part of our program should be a daily plan of liturgical and devotional prayer. "Genuine sacred art," which, in the words of the Catechism, 'draws man to adoration, to prayer, and to the love of God', can only spring from minds and hearts that are truly centered on God. SAS Daily Timetable: Spiritual activities in red are encouraged as core to the formation of a sacred artist. During the Morning Prayer and Evening Prayer periods we will be covering recommended prayerful texts for the formation of sacred artists. The idea is to punctuate the day with prayerful and contemplative moments to help us to keep our focus on the source of all Beauty, Truth and Goodness which is Christ fully present in the Blessed Eucharist. Each week there will be an English-speaking priest available for confession and spiritual direction if desired. http://www.donymacmanusstudios.com/spiritual_content.html

DREAM - MEMORIZE GOD'S WORD, Persecution is Coming
www.IChooseMyEternityNow.wordpress.com Transcript of Dream on Apr 2-3, 2018: (link here soon) Luke 21:12 12 But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons. You will be brought before kings and rulers for My name’s sake. If you are interested to give your heart to the Lord Jesus Christ, and to ask Him to forgive you for your sins and to ask Him to be your Saviour and assign your eternal soul to Him; then you can pray a prayer something like this: Adults or anyone can pray: Dear Jesus Christ, the Son of God: I have much sin in my life and I need You as my Saviour. I am a sinner in need of forgiveness. I am sorry that I have gone against Your Word for my life. Please forgive me for all of my sins. I'm so sorry for my sins against You. I believe You shed Your blood, died on the Cross, rose from the dead on the 3rd day, to pay the full penalty of my sins and to give me eternal life in Heaven with You. Help me to live for You now and to become all You want me to be, in You. Help me to have You at the center of my life from now on and to develop a close and personal relationship with You. I turn from my sinful and selfish lifestyle and strive to please You now instead and have You at the center of my life. I receive Your Holy Spirit into my heart and life right now as a seal that I belong to You now. I pray I'm counted worthy to be included in the Rapture to start my eternity with You then. Help me to share your love with others, so they too can come to know You as their Saviour. Thank you for everything You've done for me. In Jesus name I pray. Amen. Children and Teens can pray: Dear Jesus Christ, The Son of God: I know I do wrong things. Please forgive me for my sins. I am sorry for the sins - for doing wrong things against You and Your Word. I believe You shed Your blood, died for me on the Cross, rose from the dead on the 3rd day, and paid for my sins in full. Please come into my heart today so that I can go to Heaven when You call for me to go, to live my eternal life with You. I love You Jesus. Thank you for dying for me and for washing my soul clean with Your Blood. I receive Your Holy Spirit into my heart today, as a seal that I belong to You now. I pray I'm counted worthy to escape God's wrath and to go to Heaven in the Rapture to be with You. Thank you for everything You've done for me. In Jesus name I pray. Amen. Younger children can pray: Dear Jesus Christ, The Son of God: I believe You are the truth. I believe You died for me, so that I can go to Heaven to live with You forever. Thank you for washing me clean with Your Blood and saving me. I believe You love me and that You are God. I receive You today into my heart. Please take me to Heaven with You at the Rapture. In Jesus name I pray. Amen. John 3:16-18 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 10:13 For "whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved." What is CATECHISM? What does CATECHISM mean? CATECHISM meaning, definition & explanation
What is CATECHISM? What does CATECHISM mean? CATECHISM meaning, definition & explanation. A catechism is a summary or exposition of doctrine and serves as a learning introduction to the Sacraments traditionally used in catechesis, or Christian religious teaching of children and adult converts. Catechisms are doctrinal manuals - often in the form of questions followed by answers to be memorised - a format that has been used in non-religious or secular contexts as well. The term catechumen refers to the designated recipient of the catechetical work or instruction. In the Catholic Church, catachumens are those who are preparing to receive the Sacrament of Baptism. Traditionally, they would be placed separately during Holy Mass from those who baptized, and would be dismissed from the liturgical assembly before the Profession of Faith (Creed) and General Intercessions (Prayers of the Faithful). Early catecheticals emerged from Graeco-Roman mystery religions, especially the late cult of Mithras meant to educate their members into the secretive teachings, which competed with the Christian Church as an underground religion in the 1st to 4th centuries CE and allegedly shared its many ritual practices. Today, they are characteristic of Western Christianity but are also present in Eastern Christianity.

Reformation Fire at a Catholic Shrine
"'Is not My word like a fire?' says the Lord" (Jer. 23:29). Mike Stockwell, Robert Gray, Mike Gendron, Chuck O'Neal & many others were blessed to love our Catholic neighbors with action and Gospel truth at the premier Portland Catholic shrine during the Reformation Fire Conference Gospel outreach. Have you wondered how you can reach Roman Catholic men and women with the true Gospel of Jesus Christ in your city at your local Catholic church? Here's a few ways. Have you wondered what goes on at a Catholic Mass? Idolatry. Lots of antichrist idolatry. Take a look. PARAGRAPH 1378 of the CCC: “Worship of the Eucharist. In the liturgy of the Mass we express our faith in the real presence of Christ under the species of bread and wine by, among other ways, genuflecting or bowing deeply as a sign of adoration of the Lord.” Exodus 20:4-5 "You shall not make for yourself a carved image — any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; 5 you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me." *A ministry of Beaverton Grace Bible Church, for more information visit BeavertonGraceBible.org
