These Are The Symptoms and Signs You May Have a Blood Clot in Your Leg
They might not sound very life threatening, but a blood clot that develops in the deep veins of your leg, if left untreated and unable to dissolve of its own volition, may detach and travel to your lungs, causing a pulmonary embolism (or PE). In most cases, a leg blood clot will form due to lengthy periods of travel, for example if you remain immobile in cramped spaces—such as an airplane or bus—with few opportunities to stretch your legs or get up and walk around. 10 Warning Signs Your Heart Isn't Working Properly
How to Prevent Heart Disease. About 610,000 people die from heart disease each year in the U.S. alone. There are tons of factors that can cause a person to develop heart problems, but most of them come down to poor lifestyle choices. Your body gives you warning signs early on so that you can catch an illness in its early stages or even prevent it altogether and save your life. Here are 10 of the most common red flags that indicate bad heart health. A cough that won't quit 1:38 A persistent cough can be a symptom of all kinds of health issues, and cardiovascular disease is one of them. For instance, a chronic cough that produces a pinkish bloody liquid is very common in people with heart failure. Despite what it sounds like, heart failure doesn't mean that the heart completely stops beating. It just means that a person’s heart isn’t pumping blood as well as it should be. As a result, the body doesn't get enough oxygen since it’s carried to all the tissues by the blood. Nausea and loss of appetite 3:07 A lot of heart disease patients show a lack of appetite, nausea, or both, even if they've had just a couple bites of food. The reason for that is built-up fluid around the liver and intestines that interferes with proper digestion. These symptoms are usually accompanied by abdominal pain, upset stomach, or feeling bloated. In fact, abdominal cramps that come and go in short spurts are extremely common right before a heart attack. Your skin becomes paler or takes on a bluish tint 5:28 Being naturally pale doesn’t necessarily mean you have a heart condition. But sudden paleness can be a result of reduced blood flow due to a heart that’s not pumping blood as effectively as it should be. Shock, which can be caused by any condition that prevents the blood in your body from circulating properly, is the main reason why people who are suffering from a heart attack or heart failure turn pale all of a sudden. Chronic or sudden fatigue 7:02 Fatigue can be one of the main symptoms indicating an impending heart attack. Women are more likely to experience heart-related fatigue than men, with 70% of female heart attack patients reporting that they’d felt extremely tired before their episode. Physical or mental activity isn't the reason for such exhaustion, and it increases by the end of the day if it’s due to a failing heart. It’s really hard for this symptom to go unnoticed. Sometimes it's exhausting just to perform even the simplest tasks, like making the bed or taking a shower. Music: The 126ers - Darkness of My Sun Density & Time - City of Jewels https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music TIMESTAMPS 10. Pain that spreads to the arm 1:01 9. A cough that won't quit 1:38 8. Swollen legs, ankles, and feet 2:25 7. Nausea and loss of appetite 3:07 6. Extreme levels of anxiety 3:47 5. Lightheadedness or fainting 4:26 4. Your skin becomes paler or takes on a bluish tint 5:28 3. Skin rashes or unusual spots 6:20 2. Chronic or sudden fatigue 7:02 1. Increased perspiration 7:45 SUMMARY -If their heart isn’t working properly, a lot of men feel pain in their left arm, while women experience the same pain in either or both arms. -A persistent cough can be a symptom of all kinds of health issues, and cardiovascular disease is one of them. -When your heart isn’t pumping enough blood through the body, fluid from your blood vessels leaks into surrounding tissues. Your lower extremities are the most affected simply due to gravity. -A lot of heart disease patients show a lack of appetite, nausea, or both, even if they've had just a couple bites of food. -People who suffer from extreme anxiety from a very early age or most of their life are more prone to developing coronary heart disease. -Feeling lightheaded and experiencing temporary loss of consciousness, also known in the scientific community as “syncope”, is super common among heart patients. -Sudden paleness can be a result of reduced blood flow due to a heart that’s not pumping blood as effectively as it should be. -People with eczema were found to have a 48% chance of suffering from high blood pressure and a 29% possibility of having high cholesterol. -Sometimes it's exhausting just to perform even the simplest tasks, like making the bed or taking a shower before a heart attack. -People experience flu-like symptoms, have clammy skin, and sweat regardless of the air temperature or physical exertion. Blood Clots,Recognize,Symptoms, What to Expect-Clip 1
Learn how to recognize Deep vein and Superficial vein thrombosis and what to expect.BLOOD CLOTS -- HOW TO RECOGNIZE 1)Superficial-reddness, mild burning if along the Saphenous vein. Other surface veins may have a visible or palpable lump usually feels like a hard cord or pencil under the skin. Could continue into a DVT You can expect to be put on coumadin and will have only minor impairment if at all. It can be deceptively symptom free until the entire Saphenous vein becomes like a cord most of the way from your thigh down to the ankle. You most likely will not experience any leg swelling but you should see the vein become more prominent and then become hardened. 2)Deep vein-If in calf, dorsa flex the foot. If sharp pain then suspect thrombosis. 3)Deep vein- If between the thigh and knee-Femoral vein Can be difficult to detect at first because it tends to become established before symptoms develop. Symptoms may present as a lower muscle pain or pulled groin muscle. Further these pains may not always be present. They can be intermittent at first misleading you into thinking it's just a pulled muscle.Experience feelings of fluid build up upon standing and weakness in Quads at first . Later a feeling of dizzyness AFTER mild exertion. A craving for sweets for energy. DO NOT attempt to treat with anti-inflammatory NSAIDs like Aleve or Ibuprofen. Tylenol okay to use. Take a couple of aspirin a day until you have a chance to get to a doctor's offc. Do the pinch test to see if you are dehydrated...if skin does not snap back immediately start drinking fluids now. One you first feeling fluid building up and/or dizzyness upon standing you are probably within three days of requiring admission to the ER at the hospital. You will know you have reached a critical stage when your thigh muscles become weak, feel more and more pressure each time you stand and you feel dizzy after walking just a few yards. At this point you must go to the ER but try to have a bowel movement and pee before you go....you probably won't be able to for the next week or so. Just the physical swelling will cause that.DO THESE THINGS RIGHT NOW (TODAY) BEFORE GOING TO THE HOSPITAL FIRST THING: Laxative-If you even think you may have a thrombosis-Start immediately on either All-Bran cereal or Mira-Lax with each meal SECOND THING: Plan ahead-Transport (911=$900)/meals, grocery shopping, business now SECOND THING: Buy a pair of thigh high compression stockings 20-30mm Hg-no Rx nec. WHAT TO EXPECT: At the ER they will put an IV line in you to keep fluids going into your body. Your leg diameter will continue to swell for the next few days. Be sure you ask for a doppler to confirm thrombosis. Your pain levels will increase...you won't be able to walk but a few meters without passing out from orthostatic hypotension. If you are on diuretics for BP CONTINUE THEM. ASK THE HOSPITAL DOC (DAY 1) IF YOU CAN HAVE SOMEONE BRING YOU 20-30 mm thigh high COMPRESSION STOCKINGS FOR IMMEDIATE USE. You will need measurements of your ankle, calf, and thigh at the widest part. You will only use these until about two or three weeks after you get home then order some stockings at 30-40mm for the next 4-6weeks and then go to 40-50mm. As soon as you can (when the 30-40mm began to stretch and lose compression. The hospital may give you some short knee high compression socks which are useless and just slow your progress or they may use a machine with a pressure cuff to stimulate circulation---they usually don't get the cuff adjusted tight enough to do any good....take some control here and do it yourself. Each day, Ask your hospital doc if your vital signs have returned to normal (such as kidney function). If so then don't let the hospital keep putting IV fluid into your body...that just makes your leg feel like it is going to burst plus it makes it almost physically impossible for you to use the toilet in your room no matter where it is. They will argue the IV is for your benefit. Tolerate what you can but take control. You will also feel your upper body begin to retain fluid as well. This will also make going to the toilet a lot more difficult. Until you can get the fluid in your body down (ask doc to use lasix for that) you will be in great pain and pretty immobile and severely constipated and unable to pee. You will be put on Coumadin or Warfarin accompanied with a few shots of Lovenox injections for about ten days. The Coumadin you may be on forever. You will also be given medication for pain.

Cauliflower ear drainage BEST COMPILATION
Cauliflower ear (complication of hematoma auris, perichondrial hematoma, or traumatic auricular hematoma)[1] is a condition that occurs when the external portion of the ear suffers a blow, blood clot or other collection of fluid under the perichondrium. This separates the cartilage from the overlying perichondrium that supplies its nutrients, causing it to die and resulting in the formation of fibrous tissue in the overlying skin. As a result, the outer ear becomes permanently swollen and deformed, resembling a cauliflower. The condition is most common among prize-fighters and martial arts competitors such as boxers, mixed martial artists, wrestlers, martial artists, and in full-contact sports such as rugby football. source: Wikipedia I must state that in NO way, shape or form am I intending to infringe rights of the copyright holder. Painful swelling of the calves Answer: B. Rationale: Skin having central red spots with reddish extensions radiating outward is called a spider angioma seen in clients with chronic liver disease. Meanwhile, painful swelling of the calves is seen in deep vein thrombosis. Angioedema is seen as swelling of the tongue, lips, throat and extremities. This is an uncommon, known side effect of ACE inhibitors, an antihypertensive medication. Hopefully this client had been instructed by his prescriber or nurse to call 911 if he experienced swelling of his tongue, lips, and throat; as the situation can sometimes become critical and need emergent treatment! NURSES should never take lightly the importance of their responsibility to explain side effects of the medications that they are administering to their clients. It may save a life!

» Best Diet For Removing Calcium Deposits & Plaque Buildup From Your Blocked Arteries
How I quickly improved my dad’s blood flow and circulation in only 30 days - NO drugs or diets! ►► http://drsam.co/yt/CureBlockedArteriesNaturally =============================================== Best Diet For Removing Calcium Deposits & Plaque Buildup From Your Clogged Arteries =============================================== When attempting to remove calcium deposits from the their blocked arteries, most people mistakenly stop eating any food that contains calcium. This is wrong and counterproductive because calcium has many benefits and it’s a very important mineral, especially in your BONES… But NOT in your arteries and heart. In fact, calcium deposits and plaque buildup is a sign of early aging. So you really need to be proactive and reverse and remove calcium and plaque buildup For anti-aging purposes For improved blood flow and circulation To help reduce your risk of a heart attack or stroke. And the good news is that no matter how old you are or how “bad” things may seem in your arteries, you can DEFINITELY help reverse and remove calcium and plaque buildup… quickly and easily. And you can do it naturally, without drugs or crazy restrictive diets. I’ve done it over and over again with hundreds and thousands of my clients, including my father! Your “Diet” The types of foods you eat AND avoid is very important for removing plaque building and preventing calcium deposits in your arteries and veins. The right foods will direct calcium and important minerals directly into your bones, instead of your arteries. The best type of diet to follow is an anti-inflammatory and low insulin-stimulating/blood sugar diet. CARBOHYDRATES 50% of your diet should come from low-glycemic, anti-inflammatory carbohydrates. This is because high insulin levels due to high blood sugar from the WRONG forms of carbohydrates, causes plaque to build in the lining of your arteries. There’s nothing wrong with carbohydrates… You just want to eliminate or minimize sugars and simple carbs such as white bread, cereals, pasta and most carbs that come in a “box”. Instead, you want to eat more natural carbohydrates such as Yams/sweet potatoes Quinoa Buckwheat (contains NO wheat or gluten) Legumes/beans Some fruit Lots of vegetables PROTEINS Less than 25% should come from healthy proteins. Most people eat way too much protein, especially in America. It’s not natural to eat so much protein. Your body doesn’t require much protein and “high protein” diets actually CAUSE plaque and calcium buildup in your arteries. Best Healthy Proteins Wild caught fish (salmon is great) Grass fed bison/buffalo Free range eggs (including the yolks) Small amounts of free-range chicken FATS 25% from healthy fats Most people eat way too much of the WRONG fats and barely any healthy “good” fats. Stay away from hydrogenated oils and trans fats. Do NOT cook or heat your fats. Stay away from most vegetable oils, especially the junk at the local supermarket. These are the WORST types of fats because they cause plaque buildup. Best Healthy Fats: Organic, extra virgin coconut Organic avocado Extra virgin olive oil Raw nuts (almonds & walnuts are great) LIQUIDS Don’t drink your calories. Nothing with sugars. No sodas, even if they are “no calories” because they acidify your body and cause calcium deposits. You also need to eliminate dairy. Milk is for babies and cow milk is for BABY COWS! Drink lots of water (lemon for taste), some green tea and maybe 1-2 cups of organic coffee. Multi-point Segmental Blood Pressure Test - How it Works - Blue Ridge HealthCare
http://www.blueridgehealth.org - Deborah Denton, RVT with Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute leads us through a multi-point segmental blood pressure test at Blue Ridge HealthCare's Grace Hospital in Morganton, NC. This test allows technicians to find areas of block arteries without having to perform an invasive procedure. Cuffs are place at various points on the arms and legs (even toes sometimes) and blood pressures are compared between the cuffs to find suspect areas where blood might be backing up.

How to Stop Leg Muscle Cramps
Legs seem to have a mind of their own. Who hasn’t been ready to slip off to dream world when suddenly your legs begin to contract and cramp? Strangely, they don’t seem to cramp during the day. These nocturnal cramps are common and can prevent a good night’s sleep. They can also generate pain in the feet, calves and thighs. Cramps last anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes. Occasionally, they last for days. In today’s video, we’ll explore ways to prevent leg cramps. The 3 major causes of leg cramps are: - Lack of exercise - Dehydration - Poor blood flow Let’s look at a few ways to prevent leg cramps: Magnesium deficiency Magnesium is an all-purpose mineral and works wonders in alleviating leg cramps. To add magnesium to your diet, eat plenty of dark leafy greens, bananas and dates. Other magnesium-rich foods include pumpkin seeds, yogurt, and dark chocolate. Another way to add magnesium is to use its oil form. Simply massage on your legs before turning in for the night. Make Your Own Magnesium Oil Ingredients ½ cup Magnesium Chloride Flakes; ½ cup distilled water; Directions Pour water into a pan and bring to a boil; Add magnesium flakes; Stir continuously until they are dissolved; Remove from heat and cool; Pour mixture into a spray bottle; Apply 5 – 10 sprays to each leg one hour prior to bedtime. Get Your Daily Dose of Vitamin D If you are eating healthy and drinking enough water and still have leg cramps, you may have a Vitamin D deficiency. Vitamin D is what prompts the body to properly absorb calcium. Without enough vitamin D, the calcium isn’t able to balance fluids in your body. One source of vitamin D is exposure to the sun. Another way is to eat seafood. Still one more way is to simply take a supplement. Stretching Exercises Performing a few slow and easy stretches can stimulate blood flow, which will then transport oxygen and vital nutrients throughout your muscles and body. Here’s an easy stretch: Find a small ledge/incline (think – vehicle gas pedal); Rest the ball of your foot on it and allow your heel to touch the floor; Slowly shift your weight forward (pressing the pedal); Hold this position for 2 seconds; Return to starting position and rest for 10 seconds; Repeat 6-8 times on each foot. This exercise should allow you to feel a good stretch. It can stretch calves, which is where most cramps originate. A note of caution; keep the incline low. Perhaps just stack one book on top of another. Otherwise, you will put too much pressure on your calves. Need Instant Relief from Cramps? Try this simple exercise: First, extend your cramped leg straight out in front of you and flex your ankles Point toes up, toward your knee Grab your toes for a good stretch Stand up straight and take a few slow steps to increase blood flow Massage your calves with your fingers, in a circular motion. Electrolyte Imbalance If you aren’t drinking enough water, you may have an electrolyte imbalance. Here’s an easy recipe to make your own effective electrolyte beverage. Ingredients 1 quart of water; 6 tsps sugar (or ¼ cup organic honey); ¼ to ½ tsp unionized sea salt; Juice from one lemon; 2 limes; Add a few cubes of ice and enjoy this drink daily. Knee injury ,Injuries - Everything You Need To Know - Dr. Nabil Ebraheim
Dr. Ebraheim’s educational animated video describing the anatomy and associated injuries of the knee joint. Disrupted quadriceps •Patient is unable to actively extend the knee. The most common cause of ACL ruptures: •Traumatic force being applied during twisting motion. •Side stepping or landing from a jump. Patient complains of: •Immediate pain •Knee giving way •Swelling Aspiration of the knee •If aspiration of the knee joint shows evidence of blood within the joint there is 75-80% chance of ACL and meniscal injury. Lachamn’s test- ACL knee exam •Knee is flexed at 30 degrees. •ACL tear of the knee is identified by pulling on the tibia and examining the frontward motion of the lower leg in comparison to the upper leg. Radiological exam – ACL •MRI of the knee joint shows bone lesions or bruising associated with tears of the ACL. Injury is found in the typical location; middle of the femoral condyle and posterior part of the tibia laterally. Posterior cruciate ligament tear (PCL) •Common cause of injury is a bent knee hitting a dashboard in a car accident. Tibial Sag Test –PCL knee exam Quadriceps active test-PCL knee exam •The examiner stabilizes the leg of the patient and then the patient is asked to actively contract the quadriceps muscle. •The tibia is seen actively reduced from the posterior subluxed position. Lachman’s test-PCL knee exam •Knee is bent 20-30 degrees. •The posterior drawer test is carried out while the patient is in a supine position and the knee is flexed to 90 degrees. •The amount of translation of the tibia relative to the femur is observed. The dial test is performed while the patient is in the supine or prone position and both knees are in 90 and 30 degrees of flexion. More than 10 degrees of external rotation indicates significant injury. Common meniscal tears Symptoms include •Knee pain •Pain with straightening the knee •Swelling •Locking •Weakness

Soak Your Feet In Cold Water Every Night, What Follows Will Surprise You!
Ice baths are becoming more and more popular with professional athletes as well as the so-called weekend warriors. Immersing tired joints and muscles in ice water stimulates blood flow and reduces inflammation. It causes the veins to constrict, removes toxins from the blood, and alleviates the delayed on-set of muscles soreness. So, if it works for people who have done strenuous exercise, then others should be able to adopt a similar regime an expect good results too. Many health professionals involved in physical therapy are considering the health benefits of acupuncture and its relationship to Eastern medicine. Within these circles, the importance of having healthy feet is widely accepted as essential for overall health. They reason that the nerves in our body, all the way down to our feet are connected. A certain area of our feet where the nerve endings exist may affect the nervous system, while another area could affect the pulmonary system. So, damage to our feet could result in serious internal issues throughout our bodies. By putting these two theories together, we arrive at the conclusion that caring for our feet and improving blood flow from the foundation up, could improve our general health. Then, why not try an ice bath for your feet? It’s meant to be done for two weeks, and is best done in the evening so you can relax. It also doesn’t take long to prepare or to perform. Plus, you’ll be strengthening your immune system. You can do this even when your suffering from a minor illness like a cold or the flu. Here’s what you’ll need: - A bucket large enough to completely immerse your feet in; - Tap water; - About 20 pieces of ice. Here’s what you’ll do: Put the water and ice cubes in the bucket and wait for the water to get nice and cold. Put your feet in the water until they’re totally submerged. At first, you’ll want to remove your feet, but don’t worry, they’ll quickly get warm in the ice bath. Your body will compensate by trying to regulate its temperature. Count to 15 and remove your feet. Exploding Guts Prank!
Subscribe for new pranks! ►► http://brrk.co/BreakSubscribe In this month's prank, we use the power of pranks to address some important issues. Ever strain so hard you feel like your guts will burst? Can someone's guts explode? Well, if you've seen gym fails and workout fails you might have seen people who have come close. This prank, though... we take it all the way, with the EXPLODING GUTS prank. Normally when a bodybuilder or weightlifter strains too hard his only danger is a hernia, but in the most epic weight lifting accident ever, this guy attempts to break the world record for clean and jerk (though, his form isn't very good) and things go horribly wrong. Instead of a broken world record for weightlifting he gets a broken stomach and mangled body, when his guts burst out of his abdomen. The hard part about these special effects pranks (sfx pranks) is that they are very hard to make look real. We had to do make it really look like real guts and real gore were bursting out of his stomach. Kind of like the chest burster scene in alien. We used CO2 cannisters and a camel pack bladder, hidden inside of a weightbelt, and triggered by wireless remote to make this prank look real. Look at the audience reactions and you'll see that people really believed a man's guts were exploding. Careful, it's gross, but at least it wasn't the weightlifter prolapsed rectum video that went around a while back. 6 Exercises to Kill Chronic Knee, Foot or Hip Pain
If you, just like 15 to 25 percent of people in the US, suffer from chronic knee pain, or just get tired sore feet from constantly being on the go, pay attention to these 6 exercises to cure chronic knee, foot or hip pain. You don’t need an expensive treatment if you regularly perform the simple workout at home. Knees are the second largest source of recurrent pain, and once you add in the feet and hips, it turns out that the legs can cause big problems for a lot of people. Simple tip-toeing, besides strengthening your calves, helps improve your balance by reducing the area in contact with the ground, which makes keeping your balance quite a challenge. It strengthens your glutes and core muscles, improves your posture while simultaneously relieving back pain, increases the flexibility of your ankles, stretches the muscles around your shins, which are an otherwise difficult muscle group to target. Heel raises, ankle circles, resistance training and toe games are all effective exercises for relieving pain in different parts of your legs. Try to do rolling foot massage on a daily basis and do as many reps as you want or have time for. It gives the bottom of your foot a nice stretch and prevents foot-related injuries in the long run. Music: Diamond Ortiz - Inevitable https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music TIMESTAMPS Exercise #1. Heel raises 1:01 Exercise #2. Tip-toeing 3:22 Exercise #3. Ankle circles 4:34 Exercise #4. Resistance training 5:47 Exercise #5. Toe games 7:42 Exercise #6. Rolling foot massage 9:24 Bonus 10:04 SUMMARY -You’ll need to grab a chair for this exercise. Stand behind it and use the back of the chair to support yourself. This exercise helps strengthen your ankles and works the muscles around the knee. -Simply tip-toe around your house kind of quickly. This will strengthen your calves and give a little workout to your toes and the balls of your feet. Aim to do this exercise regularly for 5 to 15 minutes or until you get tired. -This exercise helps loosen up the tendons and muscles in your legs and ankles. It’ll improve your flexibility, range of motion, and overall comfort while walking or standing. -Resistance training targets the muscles in your calves and inner and outer thighs, not only toning but also strengthening them. -Toe games is an important exercise because it strengthens the tiny muscles in your toes and feet. They tend to be underdeveloped, which can be a big problem since they support your arches, keep your toes properly aligned, and even contribute to balance. -Rolling foot massage works the muscles in the heels and balls of your feet. It’s also a nice relaxing massage for your arches. -If your feet are killing you after a long day, use one thumb to put pressure on the spot between your big toe and pointer toe and use the other thumb to press the point between your ring toe and pinky toe. Gently massage these spots for up to 15 minutes for easy and quick relaxation. How To Check The Blood Flow In Leg? - Manipal Hospital
The video describes how to check one’s lower extremities for signs of poor blood circulation in legs. The steps involved are explained in detail and the parameters to check are stated. Poor circulation in feet can cause pain or numbness. A healthy foot must be warm, must not be swollen and of normal colour as any problem with the above indicates poor blood flow. Numbness is another factor that must be checked for as well as the wiggling of the foot to test for muscle function and blood flow. A blood circulation test known as Capillary refill test which is used to assess blood circulation in legs and blood flow of the leg is described. An explanation of what capillaries are is given and then the process of conducting the test where the pinched toenail turns pink within 2-3 seconds is shown. If you experience any of the described symptoms, make an appointment with a medical expert to talk about options to improve blood circulation in legs and how to improve circulation in feet. 9 Foot Problems Your Feet Reveal About Your Health
9 foot problems Your Feet Reveal About Your Health In this video I will reveal what could be lurking behind your most common foot problems. I will also show you what it may mean about your general health and what you can do about it Let’s get straight into it No 1. Sudden Hair loss on the feet and toes What this might mean is you have Serious circulation problems You may think not having hair on your toes is a good thing especially during sandal season, but having hair on your toes is actually a good thing. Get it checked out Sudden baldness can be a sign that your feet aren’t getting enough blood flow to sustain hair growth. Expect your doctor to check for a pulse in your feet, which is an indication that your heart may not be able to pump enough blood to your feet. 2. You feel Frequent foot cramping What this may mean is your suffering from either Dehydration or nutritional deficiencies Randomly occurring cramps are extremely common in the feet so don’t get too worried. They can be as serious as circulation and nerve issues, or as harmless as a nutritional deficiency. If you’re exercising, be sure to drink plenty of water, since dehydration often leads to muscle cramping. You might also try upping your intake of potassium, magnesium, and calcium (with your doctor’s go-ahead, of course), since their deficiencies make cramps more common. Or you may like to try For relief, soaking your feet in a warm foot bath and stretching your toes toward your nose, not pointing down. If the cramps don’t let up, see your doctor who can test for circulation issues or nerve damage. 3. A sore that won’t heal What this may mean – well its probably a sore that’s taking time to heal but it could also mean Diabetes or skin cancer Stubborn sores are red flags for diabetes. Uncontrolled glucose levels in the blood can lead to nerve damage all the way down to your feet, which means any cuts, sores, or scrapes can come and go without you ever feeling it. If infection sets in you could be in trouble. A non-healing wound can also be a sign of skin cancer. Melanoma can pop up anywhere on your body—even in between your toes—so be sure to include your feet in your regular skin checks. (Brush up on your mole-detecting skills here.) 4. constantly cold feet What this may mean: Hypothyroidism Hypothyroidism is the most common cause of feet that just can’t get warm. And if you’re over 40, you could be living with a sluggish thyroid without even knowing it. Unfortunately, cold feet are the least of your problems—hypothyroidism can also cause hair loss, fatigue, unexplained weight gain, and depression. Get your feet feeling toasty again by heading to your doctor for a simple blood test, and you’ll start warming up shortly after starting the daily medication. 5. A Sudden enlarged big toe What it might mean: Gout or other inflammatory issue if you The sudden onset of a red, hot, swollen, or painful joint then get immediate medical attention,”. It may be nothng or it maybe something more serious such as gout, inflammatory arthritis, infection, or trauma. 6. Bunions What it might mean: An Inherited faulty foot structure If you thought your bunions were caused exclusively by a closet full of gorgeous (yet restrictive and often painful) shoes, you can stop blaming the boutique. Bunions are actually a sign of a flawed foot structure that’s often inherited and aggravated by inappropriate shoes. 7. Heel pain especially in the morning What it might mean: Plantar fasciitis You can’t mistake it—that sharp pain in the bottom of the heel when you get out of bed or stand up from a chair. It’s a strain of the ligament that supports the arch of the foot. whether you did it by wearing too-tight shoes, walking in flip-flops, or wearing worn-out workout trainers, the longer you let it go, the longer it takes to heal. Your podiatrist will probably tell you to ease up on walking at first, rethink your footwear, and adopt a good stretching routine. 8. Flaky, itchy, or peeling skin What this may mean: a Fungal infection Even if you’re never donned an athletic jersey in your life, you could still be walking around with athlete’s foot—which is basically a fungal infection. It causes itchiness and peeling, and can be treated by applying anti-fungal cream and keeping your feet as cool and dry as possible during the day.

Here are some causes of blood clots and what you can do at home to prevent them
Please watch: "17 Foods That Will Clean Your Arteries Naturally And Protect You From Heart Attacks" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VU-R7Ifr8pI --~-- Blood clots are the body's natural way of stopping bleeding from a wound. Without the clotting ability, you could bleed out over something as simple as a scratch. Unfortunately, your body sometimes creates blood clots in the veins when you have been injured. These clots cannot escape the skin, but are deep within the tissues of the body. Often, these clots dissolve on their own and get absorbed, but sometimes, they will break off the walls of the veins and start flowing through the body. These can become dangerous. If you have been injured and are concerned about the possibility of developing blood clots, speak with your doctor and follow his advice. You can also be proactive at home and help your body keep from making clots by doing 7 simple things. 1. Walking. Taking a walk and taking one often, is what WebMD recommends. By getting up and getting moving, you cause the blood to flow, not allowing it collect on the vein walls. WebMD actually recommends taking five to six walks a day. 2. Virgin olive oil. Using virgin olive oil in your cooking not only replaces unhealthy fats, but it gives you a substance that everyday Health reports helps prevent blood clots from forming . 3. Less salt. No one wants to give up salt, but the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality recommends cutting back on this flavor enhancer if clots run in your family or if you are trying to prevent them. You can start by just slowly cutting back the amount until you've removed enough that you are on a "low-salt" diet. 4. Red grape juice. Who doesn't love to drink some red grape juice? everyday Health points out that the flavonoids found in deep red grapes help prevent blood clots from forming. Try drinking a glass of juice every day as a preventive measure. 5. Vitamin E. WebMD shares some interesting findings on a study on vitamin E. It appears to reduce the risk of blood clots forming when people are forced to remain inactive due to small spaces or physical inability to move. Before you jump on dosing yourself with vitamin E, you need to speak with your doctor. Too much of the vitamin can be dangerous. Trust your doctor to give you the right amount. 6. Elevation. If you are concerned about deep vein thrombosis, WebMD suggests elevating your legs. If you're already dealing with clots, this may help alleviate discomfort caused by them as well. 7. Turmeric. Many are recommending turmeric for preventing the formation of blood clots. According to Medical News Today, although turmeric shows great promise in preventing clotting in animals, none of the results have been able to be replicated in people. So far, this one is a bust. Your health is important. Taking measures to help your body heal is the wisest thing you can do for yourself and your family. Heal SWOLLEN Legs Ankles Feet NATURALLY (edema cure fix heart disease kidney liver walking help diet
This video will give you a tip on possibly healing swollen legs, feet with diet. I'm not a doctor so consult with your physician before any changes in lifestyle. Originally I thought I was suffering from deep vein thrombosis DVT which blocks the arteries going to and from your legs and feet. UPDATE: 6/1/2015 After my feet continuing to swell for almost a year I got health insurance and went to the doctor and did an EKG, blood work, etc. & showed no signs of something wrong. I decided to go to the cardiologist and they did an echocardiogram & stress test. My heart was functioned at 100%, no enlargement, blockages, etc. However they discovered I was born with a bicuspid aortic valve. You suppose to have a tricuspid valve. Next they are going to do a CatScan to see if there is calcification of my aorta. There is probably leakage so the reason for the edema. Overall I'm happy to know what is going on.

Limb Salvage on non-healing wounds!
Peripheral Artery Disease Treatment by world renown surgeon Dr. Julio Rodriguez Lopez of Western Vascular Institute Arizona. Performed in Western Vascular Institute's In-Office Cath Lab. Peripheral vascular disease PVD / Peripheral Arterial Disease – is a chronic disease where plaque gradually builds up in the arteries leading to limited blood flow or entirely block the flow of blood also called an occlusion. This Plaque that builds up in your arteries and veins is a waxy fatty substance caused by high levels of cholesterol and worsened by smoking. The plaque builds up on the arterial or vessel wall as it passes through the vessels along with the blood and can lead to the hardening or atherosclerosis of the arteries and eventual occlusion. Peripheral arterial disease is a very common disease affecting 1 in 20 Americans over the age of 50. Symptoms: Fatigue or cramping of the muscles in the calf, hip, thigh, or buttock muscles. Discomfort after walking even with rest. Pain in toes while resting, & open wound on toes or feet. Risk Factors: Age over 50 yrs. young Overweight, history of stroke or heart disease. Other risk factors include diabetes, family history of high cholesterol, high blood pressure, or PAD/PVD, smoking & not enough exercise. Causes: Smoking, high cholesterol, genetic factors including heredity, diabetes, obesity. Diagnosis: Your vascular surgeon will perform a physical examination and will most likely perform the following tests: a. Ankle Brachial Index or ABI test for a blood pressure comparison of the upper and lower peripheral system. b. A duplex ultrasound and doppler ultrasound will be performed to evaluate the flow of blood through the vessels and identify any occlusions or narrowed areas. c. Angiography- a contrast medium or dye is injected into the blood vessel under x-ray imaging to allow the doctor to see how the blood flows through the arteries and veins and locate blockages in the flow of blood. Treatment: Conservative treatment Our Surgeons will usually recommend a patient to begin medication management and lifestyle changes. These changes include increasing exercise, quitting smoking, controlling blood pressure, controlling diabetes and controlling cholesterol. In addition to exercise the patient is encourage to eat a healthy diet and try to lose weight to decrease the pressure on the peripheral arteries. Minimally Invasive surgical treatment If conservative management is unsuccessful the surgeons will proceed to a more aggressive management of the disease process. Our surgeons will generally suggest performing a balloon angioplasty and stent placement if the blockages are not managed by conservative means. An additional tool the surgeons have to remove the blockage and improve blood flow is a laser atherectomy device. This device allows the surgeons to vaporize the plaque blockage inside of the vessel by using a high energy light (laser). Invasive surgical treatment If minimally invasive treatment is not recommended or if it is unsuccessful invasive surgical techniques are used. Surgical bypass is a open surgical procedure where the affected vessel segment is removed and a natural or synthetic graft is placed to reroute the flow of blood. This procedure does not treat the overall disease process, rather it is used as a means of blockage/occlusion removal.
