The main reason is that the simple carbs in bread prevent calcium from being digested properly and bringing help to your nervous and cardiovascular systems. Moreover, if you add instant coffee, there will be no benefit to your health at all! - The latest research actually shows that combining these two vegetables can disturb the biochemical pathways of your body. This can lead to excessive calcination and swelling, and the vitamins contained in both vegetables won’t be digested properly. Above all, these products have different digestion time, which again, confuses the system. - Potatoes with meat: the starch contained in potatoes demands alkalotic digestive fluids, and the proteins from meat demand acidic ones. In certain studies, Americans has been found to be the #1 population in vitamin D deficiency. Some of the main symptoms of vitamin D deficiency are a weakened immune system, candida or bacterial overgrowth, emotional ups and downs, hormone imbalance, trouble putting on muscle or losing weight, weakened bones or teeth, cancer, heart disease, or diabetes. Vitamin D supports having a healthy immune response, digestive health, hormone balance, and more. The biggest causes of vitamin D deficiency are not getting enough sunlight, certain chemicals from plastic bottles (bpa), and toxicity. Try to get outside everyday for about 20-30 minutes of natural sunlight. Certain foods that are sources of vitamin D are wild caught fish, raw fermented milk, mushrooms, and eggs. However, there are small amounts in the food you eat. For a good supplement, I would recommend a high quality vitamin D supplement. You don’t want to take vitamin D2, but you do want to take vitamin D3. For supplementation, take about 2000-5000 IUs a day. However, if you have a severe deficiency, then for 1-2 months, you may take 5000 IUs twice daily. Lastly, you want to take your vitamin D3 with some form of fat like coconut oil or avocado to help absorption in your body. Magnesium stearate is added to at least 90 percent of all vitamin supplements, and it is made by adding a magnesium ion to stearic acid. It has lubricating abilities, which is often the reason why it is added to supplements, and it prevents the sticking of capsules and pills to each other. Immunology published a study which showed that stearic acid could suppress the activity of our natural killer cells, T cells, and thus cause “ a loss of membrane potential and ultimately cell function and viability.” It is in fact sourced from hydrogenated oils like cottonseed oil, and it is often rich in pesticide residue, as it is genetically engineered. Titanium dioxide. This is a common pigment in vitamins and supplements, and the exposure to it can weaken the immune system. “Titanium dioxide has recently been classified by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) as an IARC Group 2B carcinogen ‘possibly carcinogen[ic] to humans,’” explains the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health & Safety on its website. “This evidence showed that high concentrations of pigment-grade (powdered) and ultrafine titanium dioxide dust caused respiratory tract cancer in rats exposed by inhalation and intratracheal instillation.” Carrageenan. A warning issued by the Cornucopia Institute, a highly-effective food activism group, warns that it causes “gastrointestinal inflammation, including higher rates of colon cancer, in laboratory animals.” It also leads to gastrointestinal symptoms (spastic colon, irritable bowel syndrome/IBS, chronic diarrhea, inflammatory bowel disease, etc.), so you must avoid it in order to stay safe. Silicon dioxide. It is in fact just common sand, but it is used as an expensive filler, with the aim to make the bottle weigh more, and thus give the impression that it is of higher quality. Artificial colors. Artificial colors are related to various issues, from cancer to hyperactivity in children. Unfortunately nobody was around to tell me that all the supplements that I bought were just leading to one thing and that was expensive pee. Seriously guys the supplement industry is huge. And there are a lot of products that you're told will help you build muscle or help you burn fat 3 times as fast but the truth is that most of these supplements are just gonna burn a whole in your wallet and you going to wind up spending money that you could have spent on good food that would actually get you way more results. Today I want to go over the top five BS supplements that you should stay away from. Let's start with number one liquid ketones. the reason why I wanted to mention liquid ketones first is because they're becoming more and more popular right now. The whole idea is that liquid ketones are supposed to help you enter ketosis faster so liquid ketones are really growing in popularity especially with the keto diet crowd. Unfortunately somebody should tell them that this supplements claims are just straight up lies. In order for your body to go into ketosis you have to restrict carb intake enough for your body to begin converting fat into ketones which will be used as energy. Simply put you're using fat as your primary source of fuel when you don't have any carbs. This process of using ketones for energy known as ketosis essentially allows people to Target their fat stores and burn more fat. Ketosis happens naturally when you take glycogen or carbs away from the body not when you add something in. Randomly adding in ketones into your body will not put you into a state of ketosis. Again ketosis leads to ketones, but ketones don't lead to ketosis. So when your body is in ketosis that leads to Natural Ketone production for fuel not the other way around. Adding in extra ketones for no reason will just give you extra fuel to burn before you start burning your own fat stores. Which was the whole point of taking the liquid ketones to begin with. It's actually really really stupid when you think about it. Anyway...Next up are massgainers That's right Massgainers are a complete waste of money and here's why.... first of all mass gainers are not healthy at all. Then you add in either water or whole milk if you really want to add extra calories. Then blend it with some ice & walla you have yourself a killer massgainer thats cheaper & much more effective than what you would get out of a commercial mass gainer. Next on the list are multivitamins & I know a lot of people are going to lose it when I explain this because some people really do think that taking a multivitamin everyday Will magically keep them healthy. don't worry about my diet ....I got my multivitamins. Sorry to break it to you but your multivitamin is only doing two things... one overfilling the pockets of supplement companies & two giving you expensive piss......thats pretty much it. 3 studies published in the journal....annals of internal medicine found that multivitamins & minerals didn't perform any better than a placebo pill in regard to People's Health. Meanwhile supplements like multivitamins continue to lead a multi-billion-dollar industry. First of all we don't even understand the full spectrum of vitamins minerals & antioxidants present in real fruits & vegetables. Like what I mean is we might know about half of them or maybe 10 percent of them or maybe 1 percent of them...we don't know. But even that aside when you take the vitamins that you think we need to stay healthy & you make a synthetic pill I don't care if it's in a veggie cap its foreign to your body..

By cons, food and food supplements containing Vitamin B8 (biotin) may NOT qualify: be essential for healthy bones, teeth, hair, nails or skin; help strengthen the resistance of the nails; reduce fatigue and maintain vitality. These effect are now banned claims for foods and dietary supplements containing Vitamin B8 (biotin). Deficiency, uses and properties assumed vitamin B8 Biotin intake deficiency is sometimes seen in people who suffer from alcoholism or kidney failure , and among those who take treatment against epilepsy. Biotin deficiency is reflected, for example, skin problems, hair loss, of conjunctivitis or muscle cramps. Biotin is proposed to treat fragile and brittle nail problems, the acne , oily skin problems, as well as the fall and graying hair. It is sometimes used to relieve foot pain that accompany advanced forms of diabetes . How effective for vitamin B8? The effects of biotin on skin problems have been demonstrated. Studies have also demonstrated efficacy on fragile nails. However, except in cases of deficiency , the biotin administration has shown no effect on the fall or graying hair. Precautions Vitamin B8 No adverse effects are known to date, even if important contributions. Biotin is soluble in water, the excess contribution is eliminated in urine. Forms and dosage of Vitamin B8 Biotin is in the form of tablets, capsules or injectable solutions. The recommended daily intake is 50 mcg per day (0.05 mg) and a balanced diet normally covers the needs. When used to treat skin disorders or nails, biotin is usually prescribed at a dose of 15 mg per day. Food sources of Vitamin B8 Biotin is found primarily in the egg yolk, liver, kidneys, milk, soybeans, oats, mushrooms, sprouts, the yeast and the royal jelly . The next one I want to talk about, green tea. Very powerful, that epigallocatechin-3-gallate, that EGCG, is really powerful. Allows your body to mobilize fats quite a bit better, so it's a very good thing to be drinking while you're fasting. Then, we've got coffee, of course. Coffee will not break a fast as long as it's black. Totally good to go. Again, the caffeine mobilizing fatty acids. You're good there. It's going to help expedite the process of fasting. It's going to help expedite glycogen removal, or should I say, storage, that the carbs and the glycogen and the glucose isn't in your bloodstream anymore. It goes into the muscles. We definitely want that, so that's powerful. Here's a kind of a weird one. It's going to be most teas, black, green, or whatever, but I have to say this now, certain herbal teas with fruit. You see some herbal teas out there, the have little chunks of apple, they have little chunks of berries that are dehydrated. You're getting the fructose from those fruits, so I would highly recommend staying away from those. That's a no-go. So then, back to the fasting-safe, now we've got different sodas that I want to talk about. Zevia, for one, I've talked about this in a video. That's a soda that's sweetened with Stevia, so you're good to go there. And, as much as I hate to say this, I'm going to go on the record by saying I don't think that aspartame is good. I don't think it's healthy, but a lot of people ask. Diet Coke, diet sodas, you're going to be okay. Aspartame doesn't technically break a fast. So, you're okay there. I just don't think it's the best thing to do, but I know that a lot of you are wondering that, so I'm going to go ahead and say it. When we look at any kind of carbonated beverage, you're usually good to go, so I'm just going to say carbonated water, carbonated H2O, sparkling beverages, things like that. People also always ask about vaping, because there's oil, and you're ingesting the vape. Does vaping break a fast? Generally, no. You're not swallowing the oil, you're inhaling it. What I will say is that vape, the nicotine that is usually in vape, just like smoking, affects your electron transport chain. It affects NADH. That's why you get a high from it. That's why you get a buzz. The jury is still a little bit out on whether not not nicotine technically would constitute breaking a fast, but for the sake of the metabolic function of a fast, you're okay. I'm going to leave this here for now. There might be one or two more that I add, but I want to start going over the things that will break a fast. I already talked about herbal teas that have fruit in them. Now, the big one, guys. MCT oil and powder. I love that stuff and it's great for keto, but it does break a fast. There's still eight calories per gram. Unlike most fats that are nine calories per gram, MCTs only have eight. It's a little bit different. They still are digested. They still elicit a metabolic response. It's still food. It's still calories. If you have a couple of tablespoons of MCT oil, you're still looking at a couple hundred calories. That's definitely not fasting, okay? So, MCT oil does. So does coconut oil. Same kind of thing. You've got to be careful there.

In this video we briefely discuss why you should get your vitamins and minerals from diet rather from supplements, wherever possible. If you are taking supplements for health, fitness, muscle growth, body building or simple well being, this is a crucial point to understand for you. It is often drilled into us to "eat your five a day", i.e. fruits and vegetables. But why is this preferred over taking supplements? No one really explains! The fresh food you eat is loaded with nutrients necessary for good health, such as magnesium, calcium, and vitamins A and C. In certain cases, dietary supplements should be used. Dietary supplements contain nutrients in a highly-concentrated form. Therefore any intake recommendations and requirements are met pretty quickly. Taking dietary supplements can also have a psychological and motivating effect. Dietary supplements are expensive and, if used incorrectly, can lead to side effects. Overdosing on individual nutrients upset the balance of nutrients, thereby harming the body. Many people are confused about which supplements they should take. For most people, it boils down to healthy eating. If you can get your vitamins and minerals from whole foods, that’s always best. In general, a multivitamin is safe and okay, but it’s important to check with your clinician before starting any kind of supplement. Often, supplements can interact with medications or other vitamins you’re taking. You should also be aware that some supplements do not combine well. For example, if you take iron with calcium, you won’t absorb the iron well. However, if you take iron with vitamin C absorption is enhanced. In the United States, most of our food is fortified so true vitamin deficiency is very rare. An exception to that is with vitamin D, which is the most common clinical deficiency that exists in men and women. It’s important to be screened for vitamin D deficiency because it can lead to thinning of the bones and an overall decrease in bone health. So not only will avocados help you burn fat, but you'll also be strengthening your immune system and absorbing more cancer fighting cartenoids than ever. Next we have eggs. Eggs are great to incorporate into your diet plan because they’re high in protein, high in healthy fats and they can help you feel full for a very low amount of total calories. Eggs are also one of the most bioavailable sources of protein out there. Meaning that your body can very efficiently digest, absorb, and assimilate the protein found in eggs. Having a solid protein source like eggs in your diet will help you prevent muscle loss while you eat less calories to create enough of a deficit to burn fat. The next food isn't really a food, but instead its a drink that's been proven very effective at helping you fight that belly fat...apple cider vinegar. Apple cider vinegar has been shown to help people lose weight and waist circumference. These aren't they typical animal studies that you constantly see that don't necessarily guarantee the same results for people. Instead these are human studies. One of these studies was 12 weeks long and it demonstrated that obese individuals could lose anywhere from 2.6 to 3.7 pounds just by consuming 1 to 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar per day. It has also been shown to improve blood sugar spikes after meals, and it can help increase fullness after a meal. In fact one study showed that taking apple cider vinegar with a high carb meal could result in people eating 200 to 275 less calories for the day. Keep in mind, you want to make sure that you dilute only one to two tablespoons of the apple cider vinegar in water. Don't drink it straight up. Next I have another high protein food for you and that's tuna. Tuna is a very lean fish that's pretty much entirely made up of protein. This makes tuna a great option to increase protein intake without increasing calorie intake too much. The important thing is if you're buying canned tuna you want to make sure you get the tuna in water not oil. If you get it in oil then all the extra calories that you save from this low fat fish will be canceled out. Fish in general is a great option for when you're trying to burn fat
