How To Take Synthroid Properly | Best Way To Take Levothyroxine Correctly | When To Take Thyroid Medication After Eating Hey guys! This weeks video is all about how to take your thyroid medication properly to get the most out of it. Levothyroxine is a medicine used to treat an underactive thyroid gland (hypothyroidism) which affects 1 in 70 women and 1 in 1,000 men in the UK. The thyroid gland makes thyroid hormone which helps to control energy levels and growth. Levothyroxine is taken to replace the missing thyroid hormone. KEY FACTS: • Levothyroxine starts working straight away, but it may be several weeks before your symptoms start to improve. • The most common side effects of levothyroxine are caused by taking a bigger dose than you need. Your doctor can lower your dose to help reduce any side effects. • Before you start taking levothyroxine, your healthcare professional will do a blood test to see what dose you need. Once you start taking the medicine you'll have regular blood tests to see how well it’s working. HOW AND WHEN TO TAKE: • Unless told otherwise by your prescriber or healthcare professional take levothyroxine once a day in the morning, ideally at least 30-60 minutes before having breakfast or a drink containing caffeine like tea or coffee. • Both breakfast and caffeinated drinks can stop your body taking in levothyroxine properly so it doesn't work as well. • If you can't take it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach take levothyroxine at least 2 hours after eating food. • If you buy any medicines, check with a pharmacist that they are safe to take with levothyroxine. Levothyroxine should not be taken at the same time as indigestion remedies or preparations containing calcium or iron (which are contained in some vitamin products). These types of medicines reduce the amount of levothyroxine absorbed by your body. Leave at least 2-4 hours between taking your dose of levothyroxine and any such preparation. • Soya interferes with thyroxine absorption, therefore if you are taking thyroxine you should try to avoid soya. If you wish to take soya, there should be as long a time interval as possible between eating the soya and taking the thyroxine. • Avoid products such as kelp, as they may interfere with thyroid function & wellbeing. Kelp is derived from seaweed and is naturally high in iodine. Because of this it is sometimes marketed as a "thyroid booster" and can be purchased in dry preparations and tablets. As with iodine itself, it is of no health benefit to those with thyroid disease. • Levothyroxine medication interactions link - https://bnf.nice.org.uk/interaction/levothyroxine.html BLOOD TESTS: Your healthcare professional will do regular blood tests to check the levels of thyroid hormones in your body before and after starting levothyroxine. These will allow your doctor to adjust your dose to suit you. At the start of treatment you can expect to have blood tests often. Once your hormone levels are stable, you’ll usually have a blood test after 4 to 6 months, and after that once a year. You may need blood tests more often if you: • Are pregnant • Start or stop a medicine that can interfere with levothyroxine • Have any symptoms that could mean your dose is not quite right MISSED DOSES: If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember, unless it's almost time for your next dose. In which case just skip the forgotten dose. Do not take 2 doses together to make up for a missed dose. If you forget doses often, it may help to set an alarm to remind you. You could also ask your pharmacist for advice on other ways to help you remember to take your medicine. Want to see more videos about everything health and pharmacy? Treating Hypothyroidism With Synthroid

02:16
Learn How To Cure Hypothyroidism At: http://www.HypothyroidRevolution.org In alternative medicine, there is very little difference in curing hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism. This is because the treatment involves assisting the thyroid to heal, in either case. Those with hyperthyroidism should not use iodine, because it could overdrive the thyroid, worsening the condition. Curing thyroid disease requires a long-term commitment for a period of at least a year. Creating this problem took years of self-poisoning, so fixing it is neither quick, nor easy. Hypothyroidism medications are addictive, and the body becomes reliant on them, which is why the mainstream establishment maintains that people must take them forever. Those who have been taking hypothyroidism medications for years must slowly wean themselves from the drugs. Abruptly stopping these medications will result in extreme fatigue, and additional thyroid problems. Treatment Recommendations Eliminate and discard all non-stick cookware Eliminate Soy - Soy suppresses thyroid function, imbalances hormones, and it has been shown to cause goiters (an enlargement of the thyroid gland) in previously healthy individuals, which shows that it disrupts iodine usage. Adhere to an Alkaline Diet - This is extremely helpful when curing any chronic disease. Reference the Body pH and Disease article to guide you. Balance Estrogen Levels (Women) - Excess estrogen slows down the thyroid gland. This means eliminating birth control medications, increasing the fiber in the diet, and avoiding all non-organic meats. Growth hormones in meats lead to imbalanced hormones. Reduce dairy intake, because milk often contains lots of estrogen; primarily because cows are milked frequently during pregnancy. Exercise - Find a physical activity that is fun, and do it often. We believe that exercise could half the cure time in some cases, and curing is not possible without it. Hemp Fiber - This is a broad spectrum supplement and a mild laxative. L-Tyrosine - Tyrosine is a natural amino acid which helps the body produce its own thyroid hormone. This is also known to help with the depression, which usually accompanies hypothyroidism. Most naturopaths recommend that 500 mg. be taken 2-3 times daily. L-Arginine - Arginine is known to stimulate the thyroid and its hormones. It also improves immune function, improves fertility, and alleviates erectile dysfunction. Iodine - The thyroid needs iodine to function properly, and lots of people now suffer from iodine deficiencies. To test yourself, place some iodine (we use 2%) on your stomach. Make a dot the size of a silver dollar (or twice the size of a British 50p). If it disappears within 12 hours, then you are iodine deficient. Keep adding iodine in increasing amounts, until it no longer disappears in a 12-hour period. This works due to the fact that the body absorbs iodine at the rate at which it is needed. Do not use povidone iodine and do not orally consume iodine. This is especially an important precaution for those with Hashimoto's thyroiditis. Avoid all sources of fluoride - As already mentioned, fluoride suppresses the thyroid, and is likely to be the leading cause of hypothyroidism. Drink spring water, avoid soft drinks, use fluoride-free toothpaste, use a shower filter, and throw away non-stick cookware. Both coffee and tea naturally contain fluoride, so use iodine to compensate if these drinks are indispensable. Eat a natural diet - To help the body to heal itself, remove burdens on its immune system. This means that all processed foods, artificial flavors, colors, preservatives, white flour, white sugar, table salt, hydrogenated oils, aluminum, high fructose corn syrup, and etcetera should be eliminated from the diet. Organic food is the ideal. Do not trust marketing that reads "All Natural", because this phrase is unregulated, so anyone can use it for anything. Read labels carefully. Chlorophyll - Supplementing with chlorophyll provides essential copper, helps oxygenate the body, builds healthy red blood cells, and it overall assists with skin health. Chlorophyll is a safe method of orally supplementing with copper. Those who are using our Colloidal Copper Lotion are unlikely to need more copper. Zinc and Selenium: Studies indicate that severe zinc or selenium deficiencies can cause decreased thyroid hormone levels. Never take zinc on an empty stomach. Brazil nuts are high in both zinc and selenium. Coconut Oil: Buy organic, cold-pressed, coconut oil from a health food store. Take around 1 teaspoon of it daily. You can also use it to cook with, but be warned that it smokes at low cooking temperatures, so it should only be used for low-heat cooking. Coconut oil speeds the metabolism, encourages production of the thyroid hormone, and kills candida yeast.

9 Thyroid supplements Every Hypothyroid Patient Should Consider Using

36:41
Thyroid supplements (if used correctly) can help boost your thyroid function, help with weight loss and help you feel better. The problem comes with knowing WHICH supplements to take and at WHAT dose. It takes over 13 nutrients to create thyroid hormone, convert T4 to T3 and sensitize the cellular receptors to T3. Many thyroid supplements cram all of these nutrients into a supplement and call it "good". This is the WRONG approach to take. Instead basing your supplementation off of the needs of your body is far superior. That means using lab work and other markers to find what nutrients you need in what doses. 9 Thyroid supplements that I find most hypothyroid patients are deficient in: 1. Vitamin B12 - Thyroid hormone is involved in the proper absorption of thyroid hormone. See the video for a complete list of symptoms. Repleting low vitamin B12 is best done through sublingual or intramsucular injections. 2. Adrenal support - Most thyroid patients also have issues with cortisol dysregulation. If you have advanced adrenal fatigue most patients do better on adrenal glandulars. For more mild disease consider using adrenal adaptogens. If your cortisol is elevated consider using phosphatidylserine. 3. Zinc - Low levels of zinc can cause issues with your skin and issue with hair growth. Adding zinc boosts immune function, T4 to T3 conversion and acts as an anti inflammatory. Make sure to supplement with zinc bound to picolinic acid. 4. Iron - This is what I consider a "goldilocks" nutrient in that you don't want TOO much or TOO little. Unfortunately most doctors look for iron deficiency anemia and don't necessarily jus treat iron deficiency unless anemia accompanies it. Use these optimal levels to supplement with iron. 5. Magnesium - Hypothyroidism alters magnesium and low levels of magnesium can lead to issues like depression, anxiety and other changes like muscle cramps or restless leg syndrome. Replace low levels with magnesium glycinate, magnesium citrate if you have constipation or magnsium threonate if you have neurological issues. 6. Selenium - This nutrient is involved in the thyroid conversion process. Not only that but supplementing has been shown to reduce TPO antibodies and boost the immune system. In addition using iodine with selenium can help reduce negative side effects. 7. Probiotics - Up to 20% of thyroid conversion happens in the gut and inflammation can reduce this number. Hypothyroidism sets up the gut for imbalances that lead to inflammation. Using probiotics can help improve your GI function. 8. Digestive enzymes - Hypothyroidism leads to low stomach acid which can predispose patients to malabsorption of certain nutrients. Using enzymes can help digest your food, increase nutrient absorption and if taken in between meals may promote the breakdown of immune complexes. 9. Iodine - If used correctly iodine can be helpful in boosting thyroid function. The thyroid hormone is made up of iodine moieties and low levels of iodine can reduce the amount of functioning thyroid hormone in the body. Organic Icelandic Sea Kelp: http://bit.ly/OrganicSeaKelpCart10 Take Dr. Berg's Advanced Evaluation Quiz: http://bit.ly/EvalQuiz Your report will then be sent via email analyzing 104 potential symptoms, giving you a much deeper insight into the cause-effect relationship of your body issues. It's free and very enlightening. Dr. Berg talks about Intermittent Fasting and your thyroid. Many people are concerned about intermittent fasting because they think they will lower their calories and damage or slow the already slow thyroid. As long as you keep the calories the same or keep your nutrients the same and eat less frequent meals - you will not slow the thyroid. In fact, intermittent fasting can help convert T4 to T3 improving the thyroid. I do recommend doing a ketogenic diet with intermittent fasting. Selenium (Nutritional or Brewers Yeast), and iodine is best for the thyroid, and I recommend taking sea help. Make sure your sea kelp is organic is clean. You may want to avoid doing too many cruciferous vegetables as they could slow the thyroid even more. Vitamin A and D are also vital for the thyroid and "Virgin Cod Liver Oil" is the best for that. If I Have No Thyroid, Do I Have to Take Thyroid Hormones (Synthroid)?

Get Dr. Berg's Keto and IF Summary pdf: https://m.me/drericberg?ref=w1162195 Take Dr. Berg's Free Keto Mini-Course: http://pxlme.me/-i717vtY Dr. Berg talks about if you need thyroid hormones if you have no thyroid gland. The answer is yes, but try to find a natural thyroid hormone because it makes multiple hormones. The T4 and T3 hormones are only made by the thyroid but coverted by the liver so it's not just a matter of taking thyroid hormones, its a matter of them being effective, so if your liver or gallbladder are a problem, then you may have thyroid hormones, but they are not becoming activated. Natural Remedies for Hypothyroidism and Hashimoto’s Disease

06:01
For more info on autoimmune diseases: https://draxe.com/autoimmune-disease-symptoms/ In today’s video I’m going to share with you the three steps to overcome hypothyroidism and Hashimoto’s Disease. I’ll walk you through the top diet, supplements, and natural treatments to do so. Hypothyroidism is technically an autoimmune form of Hashimoto’s Disease, where your body is attacking itself and causing issues with the thyroid. What a lot of people don’t realize is that all disease begins in the gut. So, if you want to fix your thyroid, you need to heal your gut first. There’s a specific diet and specific supplements to take to heal leaky gut. Regarding your diet, going gluten free and grain free for a total of 90 days will improve hypothyroidism or Hashimoto’s. Make sure when you do start consuming grains, you consume sprouted grains. Also add lots of organic vegetables, fruits, bone broth, and organic meats, which are all easy on your gut. You also want to include probiotic-rich foods in your diet like kefir. You want to avoid fast food, excess sugar, and gluten. This diet is similar to the GAPS diet. Secondly, you want to get specific supplements to improve your hypothyroidism and Hashimoto’s disease. You want to consume selenium, ashwaghanda, and Vitamin B12. Additionally, making sure you’re detoxing your body, getting rid of silver fillings, and switching to natural cleaning and personal care products. If you want to overcome hypothyroid and Hashimoto’s disease, follow these steps and you will see great improvements! *This content is strictly the opinion of Dr. Josh Axe, and is for informational and educational purposes only. Does Levothyroxine Cause Weight Gain? What to do if it is slowing down your metabolism

22:11
Does Levothyroxine cause weight gain? That is the question I am going to answer in this video today. Here is a common problem: patients with hypothyroidism present to their doctor, get put on T4 medication like Levothyroxine or Synthroid and they CONTINUE to gain weight - despite no change in their diet or exercise routine. How can this be? In this video I answer what I think is going on in many patients and it has to do with T4 to reverse T3 conversion when certain patients are given medications that contain T4 only. In the setting of inflammation, trauma, infections, liver/kidney issues, low calorie diets and nutrient deficiencies the body can take T4 and convert it into the thyroid blocking metabolite reverse T3. High levels of reverse T3 then compete for binding at the T3 cellular receptor site and put the brakes on thyroid and metabolic function. So how do you treat this condition? Most patients will need medication containing T3 like natural desiccated thyroid or liothyronine/cytomel to "flush" the system. I also give several tips that I use in my office to help boost thyroid function if your doctor isn't willing to give you medication with T3 in it: 1. Optimize T4 to T3 conversion - I recommend you consider using Zinc or selenium: As promised here is the link to the zinc and selenium that I use in my office: Zinc: http://amzn.to/2aXp4Fg Selenium: http://amzn.to/2aHjTc5 2. Fix your adrenals - Consider using adrenal adaptogens or adrenal glandulars Here's what I use: DSF: http://amzn.to/2aC8l6d 3. Add high intensity exercise - To help lower insulin and leptin levels 4. Reduce inflammation and find hidden sources of inflammation - the easiest first place to look is at your diet 5. Lower leptin and insulin levels - It will be impossible to lose weight with leptin resistance and/or insulin resistance and both conditions reduce T4 to T3 conversion. More information in the video and the full blog post can be found here: http://www.restartmed.com/levothyroxine-weight-gain/ You can read more on my website here: http://www.restartmed.com/ This video is not intended to be used as medical advice. David Brownstein MD - Does Iodine Cause, Worsen, Treat or Improve Autoimmune Thyroid

10:32
Conventional medicine advises not to take iodine with autoimmune thyroid disorders and not to prescribe dessicated thyroid because it will exacerbate the disease. David Brownstein, MD challenges these concepts by presenting published research and clinical evidence that argue against the accuracy of these established models of practice. Significant animal, clinical and biochemical research supports the use of iodine in the majority of cases of hypothyroidism, with some exceptions. Detailed case studies elucidate the appropriate use of iodine to acheive outstanding clinical outcomes. David Brownstein, M.D. is a Board-Certified family physician and is an expert in the areas of thyroid and iodine. How To Lose Weight With Hypothyroidism

05:12
For more details, click here: http://dietvsdisease.org/how-to-lose-weight-with-an-underactive-thyroid/ To subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/c/DietvsDiseaseOrg?sub_confirmation=1 Losing weight and keeping it off can be a struggle. Especially if you have an underactive thyroid. Your metabolism has slowed down and you’re almost always feeling tired. In this video we're looking at 4 steps required to successfully lose weight with hypothyroidism. TITLE - How To Lose Weight With Hypothyroidism Slide - 1. Optimise Your Thyroid Medication If your medication is not helping to correct thyroid hormone levels, as well as relieve symptoms, then weight loss goes from difficult to impossible. Determine what type of medication is better for you, and also find the optimal dose required. While Levothyroxine is on average more effective, dessicated thyroid is a useful alternative that is reportedly much better tolerated. There is no difference between taking your thyroid hormone meds in the morning vs evening. Choose whatever is easier for you to have it on a fasting stomach. SLIDE 2. Cut Back on Added Sugars and Refined Starches I need to begin with this clarification: Carbohydrates are not inherently bad for you. That is, they do not make you fat or sick on their own. That said, carbs in the form of added sugars and highly refined starches are unhealthy and unnecessary. They offer almost zero nutritional benefit and make up a large portion of the excess calories we consume. Cutting back on added sugar is the most simple and direct way to cut out excess “empty” calories. This is done by limiting intake of junk foods, flavoured drinks, alcohol, white bread, most cereals, and a good portion of packaged food in your supermarket’s “health food” aisle. Now it’s unrealistic (and unfair) to expect yourself to completely avoid added sugar every day of the year. But you need to begin taking actionable steps that help you cut back and form healthier habits. Start by not having junk foods at home, or at least keep them out of sight in a cupboard you never use. 3. Base Meals Around Vegetables and Protein If you want to lose weight with an underactive thyroid, vegies and a source of protein should be the foundation of almost every meal you make, and plated first when serving. The main benefit of protein is that it’s much more satiating than both fat and carbs. That means it has a unique ability to reduce appetite and therefore your overall caloric intake too. STUDY - http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8862477, http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15466943 Studies show high protein diets may also reduce obsessive thoughts about food by 60% and cut desire for late-night snacks by half (3, 4). Foods high in protein include meat, seafood, eggs, nuts, legumes (beans) and dairy. Protein is also the muscle-building nutrient, so a high protein diet complements regular exercise. Nutrient-dense meals are even more important for those with hypothyroidism and other autoimmune diseases, where nutrient absorption and deficiency are more common. Emphasis goes to green leafy vegetables, mushrooms and cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage. As a general guide, the protein portion of your meal should be the size of your palm, and salad/vegetables the size of your hand. This would leave about 1/4 or less of your plate for healthy carbs if you so choose (such as rice or potato). 4. Increase Your Intake of Selenium and Zinc Selenium and zinc are two critical nutrients directly involved in thyroid function and metabolism. Selenium is an essential mineral that helps the body to recycle iodine. That’s the reason the thyroid has the highest selenium content (per gram of tissue) of all our organs. It’s thought that low selenium levels contribute to hypothyroidism through alternate mechanisms related to iodine. For this reason it’s fundamental to eat a diet that contains many selenium-rich foods, such as: Brazil nuts Tuna and sardines Beef and chicken Eggs Legumes Zinc is an essential mineral required to regulate TSH, which is a hormone from the brain that controls how much thyroid hormone your thyroid produces. In fact, the metabolism of zinc and thyroid hormones are closely interlinked, which is why a deficiency can lead to alopecia (hair loss). While zinc deficiency is very uncommon in the developed world, it’s still recommended to eat a variety of zinc-rich foods (8). This includes: Oysters and shellfish Beef and chicken Legumes, nuts and seeds Milk and yoghurt. Okay so I hope you found those 4 tips useful... In all honesty I've only JUST scratched the surafce here, there are certainly more steps to follow on after these ones. To find out more you can click the link in the description or on the youtube card where I've written about hypothyroidism and much more detail. Dietitian: Joe Leech (MSc Nutrition)

Causes of hypothyroidism include low intake of iodine, Hashimoto's Disease, toxicity of antithyroid medication, or a pituitary tumor. A life-threatening complication of hyperthyroidism includes Thyroid Storm, and a life-threatening complication of hypothyroidism includes Myxedema Coma. Treatment for hyperthyroidism would include antithyroid medications like Tapazole or PTU, beta blockers "Inderal", radioactive iodine therapy, or thyroidectomy. Treatment of hypothyroidism includes thyroid hormone replacement with Synthroid (or other thyroid replacement medications). Levothyroxine Side Effects - Complete List + Dosing Guide for Patients

21:10
In this video I go over the complete list of Levothyroxine side effects ranging from weight gain to hair loss and everything in between. Yes, Levothyroxine can cause hair loss and it can also cause weight GAIN. How can that be if levothyroxine is supposed to boost your metabolism? In this video I explain how the metabolism of thyroid hormone in your body from T4 to reverse T3 may help explain why many people actually gain weight on this particular medication. I also go over the recommendations I give to patients if this happens to them. I also go over how to determine which thyroid medication is right for YOUR Body and how to dose your levothyroxine. When patients have reactions to levothyroxine it's from 1 of 3 reasons typically: 1) they are reacting to a filler ingredient or a dye within the medication itself. 2) they are converting or metabolizing the thyroid hormone into by products that don't promote proper activity 3) they are getting too much thyroid hormone for THEIR body (this one is less common) The side effects when patients react to fillers or dyes include reactions like facial swelling, edema, hives, itching sensation, etc. The side effects from improper metabolism include reactions like weight gain, hair loss, slower than normal metabolism, cold hands/extremities, etc. The side effects from TOO much medication include: hot flashes, tachycardia or rapid heart rate, palpitations, hair loss, intolerance to heat. The treatment for each of these reactions is quite different and I explain what to do depending on how you are reacting. Leave your questions below! More information in the video and the full blog post can be found here: http://www.restartmed.com/levothyroxine-side-effects/ You can read more on my website here: https://www.restartmed.com/ This video is not intended to be used as medical advice. Does the Ketogenic Diet Cause Hypothyroidism or Hashimoto's Thyroiditis

04:18
Take Dr. Berg's Free Keto Mini-Course: http://pxlme.me/-i717vtYDr Dr. Berg talks about the thyroid. In past videos he mentions that hypothyroid conditions are usually secondary to high estrogen or liver or gallbladder issues, since T4 (inactive thyroid hormone) converts to T3 (active thyroid hormone) in the liver - about 80% of it. The rest is converted by the kidney. If TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) is high, this means the thyroid is low. If TSH is low, then this means the thyroid is high, making too many hormones. When people tell you keto and intermittent fasting worsens the thyroid, realize that it's not a worsening of thyroid, instead its the thyroid becoming more efficient and your body needing less thyroid hormones. Glyphosate from GMO foods acts as a toxin to cause a dysfunction to your detoxification systems of the body, esp. the liver. This then can trigger an immune condition (autoimmune) - Hashimotos. To avoid this condition, start doing organic foods. TEST GLYPHOSATE: https://detoxproject.org/glyphosate-testing-test-yourself/ INTERESTING RESEARCH & DATA: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3945755/ http://www.naturalendocrinesolutions.com/articles/does-glyphosate-have-a-negative-effect-on-thyroid-health/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23046013 http://thyroidnation.com/glyphosate-ruining-your-gut-triggering-autoimmune/ https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/pesticide-use-thyroid-disease/ https://academic.oup.com/aje/article/171/4/455/157410 https://healthunlocked.com/thyroiduk/posts/135689340/hashimotos-study Hi guys, today we are going to talk about the thyroid In the past videos I talked about the real underlying cause of thyroid, it is either too much estrogen because estrogen has affinity for the thyroid that blocks it coming from the ovary, the environment, being pregnant or the liver gallbladder. Let’s say the liver is dysfunctional or the gallbladder is not working and you can’t convert this hormones because T4 cannot convert to T3 unless the liver and the gallbladder is really healthy. But I want to give you the basics first, thyroid stimulating hormone is made by the pituitary gland in your brain and is sent down to the thyroid to basically tell the thyroid to make its hormones. If the thyroid stimulating hormone is high that means the thyroid is low, it is a hypo and it is not connecting because it can start increasing the communication to try to drive it through. Does Ketosis Cause Hypothyroidism?

01:40
Take Dr. Berg's Advanced Evaluation Quiz: http://bit.ly/EvalQuiz Your report will then be sent via email analyzing 104 potential symptoms, giving you a much deeper insight into the cause-effect relationship of your body issues. It's free and very enlightening. Dr. Berg answers the question, does ketosis cause hypothyroidism. The short answer is no, a low calorie, on the other hand can inhibit thyroid function. But ketosis in itself does not cause a slow thyroid. Hi guys I have another question for you. Does ketosis cause hypothyroidism? No, it doesn’t. It’s not the low carbohydrates that cause a slow thyroid. It is a low calorie diet that will do that because when you start cutting calories, you put a lot of stress in the endocrine system especially because you are not getting enough nutrients. Yes, you are running your body on fat possibly, but you are depriving yourself with nutrients and think about a weak endocrine gland is very sensitive to nutritional deficiencies, it is still not healed and not robust enough. If you are not constantly consuming especially the minerals, because thyroid gland is a situation where you have very slow metabolism that means that the uptake of nutrients is low already because you don’t have the intracellular enzymes to start to metabolize. When you go into a ketosis diet your hunger goes way down and some people just don’t eat very frequently and the problem is that they don’t get then nutrition. If you are going to do this and you have a hypothyroid state just to prevent it, start taking more minerals, sea kelp, iodine, selenium and certain nutritional things and make sure that you are eating enough just the right things. It is nothing about low calorie diet that will destroy the thyroid, it is basically just you are cutting your calories and nutrients too low. What Happened When I Took a Raw Thyroid Supplement

06:21
In January, I discovered over-the-counter raw thyroid supplements and experimented with one particular one for a few weeks. At first, it seemed like a true godsend, but problems started surfacing later. Then I did a blood test and realised that things were actually getting worse. Only recently, with a better understanding of adrenal and cortisol issues, I finally understood why the raw thyroid supplement wasn't a good match for my body. This video isn't meant to scare you off from trying similar supplements. It's meant to encourage you to research and test yourself better before trying powerful supplements like this. If you're experiencing underactive adrenal glands and low cortisol in addition to low thyroid, a supplement like this could be amazing for you. But if you have high cortisol like me, be careful! Most Thyroid Issues Are Secondary to Other Problems

07:30
Take Dr. Berg's Body Type Quiz: http://bit.ly/BodyTypeQuiz Dr. Berg talks about the thyroid gland and what could be the potential thyroid problems (it is mostly secondary). The thyroid symptoms include hair loss, dry hair, loss of eyebrows, abnormal thyroid glands and hormones, all these are caused due to low thyroid levels in the body. Dr. Berg discusses about the major thyroid problems and their associated thyroid treatment. The main cause for thyroid issues is liver and gall bladder. The next possible cause of thyroid symptoms could be the adrenals. In this case you can have either high quantity of thyroid (hyper thyroid) or low quantity of thyroid (hypo thyroid), both if which are triggered by high amount of stress levels. The third most probable cause could be ovaries. In this case the estrogen depletes the activity of thyroid over time which causes a thyroid disorder. It is very rare that you have primary thyroid problem. Dr. Berg explains the root cause and how to make your thyroid come back. Eat 1 Tablespoon of Coconut Oil a Day and THIS Will Happen to Your Thyroid

03:19
Coconut oil has many health benefits that are well-documented. However, one recently discovered benefit is that coconut oil can help treat symptoms of hypothyroidism, or an under-active thyroid. Hypothyroidism occurs when the body’s thyroid gland does not make enough hormones to allow the body to function appropriately. Coconut oil contains a fatty acid called lauric acid, which has anti-inflammatory properties. Coconut oil also contains capric acid, which has antimicrobial and antiviral properties. It is recommended that you use extra virgin coconut oil for the best health benefits. One tablespoon of extra virgin coconut oil should be consumed daily. It can be added to hot beverages, such as tea or coffee, and added to daily cooking, drizzled over a salad or added to a smoothie. Today’s video will discuss health issues that coconut oil can help treat. 1. Metabolism When the body’s thyroid is under-active, it can cause the body to feel fatigued and without energy. The fatty acids in coconut oil help the fats in the body convert to energy. This, in turn, boosts the body’s metabolic rate. 2. Weight Loss One of the most major symptoms of an under-active thyroid is unexplained weight gain. The weight is very hard to lose and the thyroid hormones directly slow down the body’s metabolism. The Journal of Nutrition published a study that showed the fatty acids in coconut oil help to keep the body feeling fuller, longer. Thus, assisting the body in shedding excess weight. 3. Constipation When hormones from the thyroid are low, the body’s organs run slower as well, causing the digestive tract and intestines to lag. The fatty acids in coconut oil provide the body with energy and boost organ function. Coconut oil also works as a natural laxative and is effective in fighting constipation. 4. Inflammation An under-active thyroid causes muscle and joint pain, largely from unbalanced hormone levels. Coconut oil can naturally calm any inflammation and relieve any pain. 5. Hair Loss The thyroid can affect the health of your hair and may even cause it to begin to fall out. However, adding coconut oil to your regime will prevent this from occurring and repair hair follicles. 6. Dry Skin The imbalance of hormones caused by an under-active thyroid can cause the body’s skin to become dry and flaky. Coconut oil can be added directly to the affected skin to restore its moisture and healthy skin. Have you experienced an under-active thyroid? Have you tried any of these remedies? This gland secretes hormones that govern many of the functions in the body, such as the way the body uses energy, consumes oxygen and produces heat. Thyroid disorders typically occur when this gland releases too many or too few hormones. An overactive or underactive thyroid can lead to a wide range of health problems. Hyperthyroidism: Remember, whenever you see: HYPER infront of a word - this means too much of. Hyperthyroidism - this is when the thyroid gland is producing too much thyroid hormone. Causes: There are several causes of hyperthyroidism. Most often, the entire gland is overproducing thyroid hormone. Less commonly, a single nodule is responsible for the excess hormone secretion. The most common cause of hyperthyroidism is Graves disease - this is an autoimmune disease where the body makes an antibody called thyroid-stimulating immunoglobulin, this causes the thyroid gland to make too much thyroid hormone. Thyroiditis - can be another cause, this is inflammation of the thyroid. Remember whenever you see the words “itis”at the end of a word, this means infection. Functional thyroid tissue producing an excess of thyroid hormone occurs in a number of clinical conditions. Hyperthyroidism may be asymptomatic or present with significant symptoms. a mnemonic to help you remember the potential symptoms of hyperthyroidism is SWEATING. The signs and symptoms can include: Sweating, Weight loss, Emotional instability, Appetite increased, Tremor, Irritability, Nervousness, Gastrointestinal problems. More frequent bowel movements may occur, but diarrhea is uncommon. Treatment for hyperthyroidism usually involves medication to reduce the amount of hormones produced by the thyroid. We will go over the medical treatments in a bit. Hypothyroidism - which is also called myxedema Remember - whenever you see: Hypo in front of a word, this means “not enough of.” Hypothyroidism is a thyroid disorder that occurs when the thyroid does not produce enough hormones, which is the opposite of hyperthyroidism. People with hypothyroidism often have no or only mild symptoms. Numerous symptoms and signs are associated with hypothyroidism, and can be related to the underlying cause, or a direct effect of having not enough thyroid hormones. Some of the symptoms of hypothyroidism can be easily remembered by the mnemonic MOM’S TIRED which includes: Memory loss, gOiter, Menorrhagia - which means abnormally heavy bleeding at menstruation, Skin dryness, Tiredness Intolerance to cold, Restlessness, Energy levels are low and Depression. This condition can be treated using a drug called T4. Most patients must stay on T4 for their entire lives, and must be closely monitored by physicians. T4 is the synthetic form of the thyroid stimulating hormone - It is made by many different pharmaceutical companies, sold under names like: Synthroid, Levothyroxine Sodium and Levoxyl to name a few. Causes: Most of the time Hypothyroidism is caused by inadequate function of the gland itself which is known as primary hypothyroidism. It could be caused by not enough stimulation by thyroid-stimulating hormone - which is known as central hypothyroidism. Primary hypothyroidism is much more common than central hypothyroidism. Iodine deficiency is the most common cause of primary hypothyroidism. In areas of the world with sufficient dietary iodine, hypothyroidism is most commonly caused by the autoimmune disease Hashimoto's thyroiditis.

How Iodine Affects Your Thyroid

01:39
http://ghc.us/1ty How Iodine Affects Your Thyroid How much do you know about your thyroid? Your thyroid is an important gland in your body that not only regulates your metabolism but also your temperature and heartbeat. Your thyroid levels can be affected by a variety of sources, from genetics to pregnancy to toxins in the environment. How does the essential trace mineral, iodine, fit in? Research has shown that a lack of iodine can lead to the enlargement of the thyroid gland, fatigue, weakness of the immune system, slow metabolism, autism, weight gain, and possibly even mental states such as anxiety and depression. Do you know the recommended daily allowance of iodine? It’s 150 micrograms for everyone over the age of 14. Too much iodine can contribute to your thyroid over producing hormones causing hyperthyroidism. Not enough iodine can cause your thyroid to under produce hormones leaving you with symptoms of hypothyroidism. What’s a natural way to help your thyroid? Iodine rich foods can help you balance your hormone levels. Visit our natural health articles to learn about 7 foods rich in iodine. http://ghc.us/1ty Follow us to Live Healthy! Hypothyroidism case study 40 pound weight loss over 6 months with before/after pictures

28:06
Video # 2 in a weight loss with hypothyroidism video series. This video represents an actual hypothyroid patient from my practice who lost 40 pounds over 6 months with before/after pictures. You will immediately notice her changes in the picture above and I walk you through in detail how YOU can get these types of changes as well. Hypothyroid patients almost always have difficulty with weight loss due to a variety of reasons. Most patients wrongly believe that their weight loss problem is due primarily to a lack of thyroid hormone and that's where they are wrong. Low thyroid hormone by itself causes a slow metabolism but it also causes and encourages other hormone imbalances. Specifically it leads to insulin resistance, leptin resistance and even estrogen/progesterone imbalances. It is these changes that make future weight loss impossible. So that means focusing on thyroid hormone alone generally won't result in significant weight loss. Even adding on NDT or T3 to your regimen will likely result in 5-10 pounds of weight loss at MOST. Compare that to focusing on the other hormone imbalances and you can see the advantage in this case study above. I show you exactly how to test for the following hormone imbalances: 1. Adrenal related issues (checking cortisol levels) 2. Thyroid resistance (by checking free T3 and reverse T3) 3. Low testosterone (by checking free and total testosterone) 4. Estrogen dominance (by checking estradiol + progesterone) 5. Checking for leptin resistance (by checking fasting serum leptin levels) 6. Checking for insulin resistance (by checking fasting insulin and Hgb A1c) I also go over the treatment for each of these conditions and show you how the patient above was able to get these results. This particular patient has Hashimoto's thyroiditis, but this will also work for patients who have hypothyroidism. In addition I go over how to correctly pick the right diet to allow for weight loss in this patient population. More information in the video and the full blog post can be found here: http://www.restartmed.com/weight-loss-naturethroid/ You can read more on my website here: https://www.restartmed.com/ This video is not intended to be used as medical advice. TSH levels can be lowered with a simple nutrient. Recent research showed how patients with hypothyroidism and high tsh levels lowered their tsh levels by taking vitamin c with thyroid hormone. The question remains...will this simple tip improve thyroid symtoms? If you have thyroid problems put this strategy to work for you to improve thyroid function and your thyroid test. Patients with hashimoto's will also benefit from this simple tip. Try using this along with a hypothyroidism diet as part of your thyroid treatment plan for best results. Remember that improving your tsh is important, but not as important as improving your thyroid symptoms. Add vitamin c to your program and see if it helps your tsh levels. http://youtu.be/Hu0eEY9uVfM http://thehypothyroiddiet.com

Leptin Resistance and Thyroid Resistance - 8 Steps to Reverse Both

23:45
This video will guide you through how to diagnose and treat both Leptin Resistance and Thyroid Resistance. Both of these conditions go hand in hand so its helpful to look for both if you suspect you have one or the other. Symptoms of Leptin resistance: - Weight loss resistance or the inability to lose weight - Ravenous appetite even after a large meal - Slow metabolism - Cold hands/feet/extremities - Crushing fatigue - Symptoms of hypothyroidism despite being on medication - Constant weight gain Thyroid resistance is defined as low free T3 relative to Reverse T3. In order to test for this condition you need to order both tests and look at the ratio between the two. The higher your reverse T3 the harder it is for free T3 to get into your cells which leads to thyroid hormone resistance at the cellular level. Treatment usually requires T3 medication in conjunction with the 8 tips below. 8 Steps to Reverse Leptin Resistance and Thyroid Resistance: 1. Get your thyroid evaluated and get on the right type and dose of thyroid medication - For most patients this means NDT or T3 containing medications like Cytomel or Liothyronine. 2. Add in HIIT (high intensity interval training) to your work outs - This type of burst training helps sensitize your cells to insulin and leptin. 3. Avoid processed and inflammatory foods - High levels of inflammation makes thyroid function worse and makes it more difficult to reverse leptin resistance. 4. Make sure to get 7-8 hours of sleep per night 5. Eliminate or drastically reduce your fructose consumption - Fructose is metabolized into uric acid in the liver and which increases inflammation and makes leptin levels worse. 6. Do not restrict your calories - Starvation mode lowers your basal metabolic rate and increases conversion of T4 to reverse T3. 7. Optimize T4 to T3 conversion - Use supplements or thyroid hormones: - Zinc: http://amzn.to/2aQF0pl - Selenium: http://amzn.to/2bffBKU 8. If necessary use medications to lower Leptin levels - Consider using GLP-1 agonists which can help lower leptin levels and help patients with weight loss. Secondary Hypothyroidism and What You Can Do About It

06:28
https://www.drlam.com/blog/secondary-hypothyroidism/22250/ This is Dr. Lam, founder of DrLam.com and the Adrenal Fatigue Center. Today we’re going to talk about the role iodine plays in the thyroid gland’s function as well as adrenal fatigue. Iodine is a chemical, a material that is found very, very widely especially in sea plants such as kelp. Iodine provides the raw material, the molecules, in order to make thyroid hormone. This has been well established. The combination of four iodine molecules makes up T4. When one of the thyroid molecules cleaves one of the iodine, then it becomes less. T4, once the iodine is removed, becomes T3 and continue and so forth. The real workhorse in the body in terms of thyroid hormones is actually T3. It is many times, in fact three or four times, stronger than T4. Its frequency and volume are reduced. T4 is a pro-hormone of T3. T3 is the workhorse. Iodine is contained in both of these hormones and for good reasons. When you have hypothyroid symptoms, the first thing the doctor checks is your TSH level and your free T3 level and your free T4 level. If your free T3 and free T4 are low, then the natural progression is to give you thyroid replacement if there are no other issues found and the doctor’s convinced that you have hypothyroidism because of something wrong with the thyroid gland. You can give T4 that is already made, T3 that is already made, or a natural thyroid such Armour Thyroid that has a combination of T4 and T3. You can use iodine as a precursor to help the thyroid kickstart itself, if that is the problem. Or at a lower level, just eat more kelp. Iodine supplementation can be tricky because if you give too much iodine, the body can go into hyperthyroid, that is too much thyroid, while if you give too little, then you can go into hypothyroid state and continue to be there. Modern medicine seldom uses iodine anymore because it is so much easier just to titrate with pre-existing medication such as Synthroid, which is T4, and Cytomel, which is T3, or a combination as we talked about earlier. There is a problem if your body is in secondary hypothyroidism, that is, an entity where the low thyroid function is not because of the thyroid gland problem by itself but because of something that is triggering the thyroid function to be reduced. Such can be the case if you, for example, have a brain tumor that causes the thyroid not to work well or more commonly, a seldom understood as well as passed over situation called adrenal fatigue. In adrenal fatigue, the body’s adrenal glands are not working well. The thyroid gland tends to slow down as well. Many symptoms consistent with hypothyroid will be visible. In addition to that, antibodies such as Hashimoto driven can rise as the body goes into an autoimmune problem. They can be quite convoluted and confusing. The use of iodine in these cases also needs to be very careful if at all. Small doses can be helpful as testing to see how well the thyroid responds, but large doses can be also considered provided under professional supervision. The US has mandated a very low iodine intake as acceptable by the RDA but we do know that in many countries such as Japan, the average intake of iodine is close to 50 milligrams while in the US, the RDA is only concerned in micrograms. There’s a lot of controversy in terms of what is the right amount of iodine. Forward-looking doctors would tell you that 12-15 milligrams should be considered, especially in areas where there’s low iodine because it is so good not only for thyroid but for other issues especially fibrocystic breast disease. If you suspect that you have thyroid function that’s low and you are considering iodine, do make sure that you talk to an iodine literate as well as adrenal fatigue literate doctor before proceeding so you can avoid many of these possible pitfalls and making yourself worse because those cannot be ruled out. You want to be careful. At the same time, the proper use of iodine can be quite good because it can allow you to allow the body to heal itself without the use of medications and the side effects of those medications accordingly. Reverse T3 Treatment Guide + How to “Flush” it out of Your Body

25:12
High reverse T3 levels result in a slow metabolism, weight gain, low body temperature and symptoms of hypothyroidism. Reverse T3 is created from T4 in your body in the presence of inflammation, leptin resistance, insulin resistance and a history of chronic yo-yo dieting. Taking T4 only medication can actually make high levels of reverse T3 even worse. This guide discusses how patients get high levels of reverse T3, what causes reverse T3 to be elevated and how to flush high levels of reverse T3 out of your body. We will also discuss the normal ranges of reverse T3 in your body and how to evaluate them in the presence of low T3 levels. There are ways to treat thyroid resistance but in some cases it requires the use of T3 containing medications. More information in the video and the full blog post can be found here: https://www.restartmed.com/reverse-t3/ You can read more on my website here: https://www.restartmed.com/ This video is not intended to be used as medical advice. Top 10 Myths about Thyroid Disease: Exposing the Truth with Dr Alan Christianson

01:45
Top 10 Myths about Thyroid Disease: Exposing the Truth with Dr Alan Christianson http://drchristianson.com/blog With over 200 million people affected, how can there be so much misinformation about thyroid disease? Here are the biggest myths 10. You can tell how well your thyroid is working by taking your temperature. Kernel of Truth: Your thyroid is part of the systems that regulate your temperature. Fact: Your basal body temperature is not a good indicator of your thyroid status. The reason that it doesn’t work as a test is because temperature fluctuations are normal and can be caused by many factors that have nothing to do with your thyroid. 9. You can’t have thyroid issues because you don’t have every thyroid symptom. Kernel of Truth: Thyroid disease can cause many symptoms including weight gain, fatigue, hair loss, dry skin, depression, difficult menstrual cycles, irritable bowel symptoms, headaches, muscle pain, hoarseness, and anxiety. Fact: Most people with thyroid disease have only 1-3 symptoms and each combination can be different. Some do not have weight issues, hair loss, or fatigue, others have all three. Few have all of the common symptoms, but this is possible. 8. You do not want to start thyroid treatment because you don’t want to be stuck on pills forever. Kernel of Truth: Some people have had their thyroid slow down because they were put on high doses of synthetic thyroid medications unnecessarily. Fact: When natural thyroid medications are used in gentle dosages, not only do they not make your thyroid quit working, they can help it work better. 7. People with thyroid disease can’t eat broccoli or other cruciferous vegetables. Kernel of Truth: Cruciferous vegetables do contain goitrogens which can slow iodine absorption. Fact: In the modern world, most thyroid disease is caused by autoimmune disease, not below iodine levels. Soy foods do have goitrogens which can make this work, but the goitrogens in vegetables like broccoli are actually good for it. People - Woman - Thyroid Check6. Myth: Natural thyroid medicine works better, but its potency is inconsistent from batch to batch. Kernel of Truth: Prior to 1980, natural dessicated thyroid (NDT) was standardized only based on iodine content. This meant that the active hormones could fluctuate from batch to batch. Fact: Since 1981, NDT is standardized to have consistent amounts of active ingredients just like synthetic thyroid is. All brands legally have to be under 20% variable. Brands like WP Thyroid, Westhroid, and Naturethroid are 2% or less variable. 5. Extra iodine can fix most thyroid problems. Kernel of Truth: Iodine deficiency can lead to hypothyroidism and goiter. Fact: Extra iodine can slow the thyroid. Once iodine gets into your thyroid, your thyroid makes it into active hormones. When you get a big surge of iodine in your system, this blows a fuse that prevents you from making way too much thyroid hormone. 4. If you take extra thyroid medicine, you’ll lose weight. Kernel of Truth: For many people, having too little thyroid hormone can lead to weight gain. Fact: Extra thyroid hormone does not lead to weight loss. In some cases, it can even lead to weight gain because it can make your body thyroid hormone resistant. Megadoses of thyroid often cause your body to lose bone and muscle tissue – not the weight loss you want. 3. If you take natural thyroid or other thyroid medicine that has T3 in it, you must take it twice daily. Kernel of Truth: Natural Dessicated Thyroid does have T3 and T3 absorption does peak 4-6 hours after taking a dose. Fact: three T three metabolism is much faster than T3 absorption and takes one to three days. Hiring medicines must be taken away from food. This is hard to do twice-daily. The other consideration is that thyroid hormones are mostly made late at night or early in the morning. Taking them late morning, noon, mid afternoon, or early evening can throw off your body’s rhythms. 2. You should ignore blood tests and rely on symptoms to determine whether you need more or less thyroid medicine. Kernel of Truth: There are many reasons that thyroid blood tests are not perfect and that normal ranges may not apply to all people equally. Fact: Improving symptoms is one of the most important goals behind thyroid treatment. However, you can have the same symptoms if levels are too high or too low. Tests help us know which way to change if any. The other value in testing is that some thyroid levels unsafe regardless of symptoms and should be avoided. 1. My doctor says I don’t have Hashimoto’s because of my blood tests. Kernel of Truth: Thyroid antibody tests are positive in many people who have Hashimoto’s. Fact: Over 40% Hashimoto’s may never have positive antibody tests. Negative antibody tests do NOT rule out Hashimoto’s. In many cases it only shows up on the ultrasound.

Health Tips - Heal The Thyroid With Coconut Oil Fast!

Heal The Thyroid With Coconut Oil Fast! Please SUBSCRIBE : http://bit.ly/2e9Su11 Thyroid issues affect millions of people, and lead to weight gain or loss, constipation, fatigue, joint pain, libido loss, headaches, dizziness, ear ringing, hair loss, brittle nails, fatigue, cold sensitivity, insomnia, dry skin, cold feet and hands, infections, hoarse voice, and more. Studies have shown that even 65% of the American population is overweight, and 27% of these people are obese. Yet, these facts are alarming as they are directly related to the problems with the thyroid, as especially in women with hypothyroid disorders. Coconut oil is saturated fat, meaning that it is stable and does not experience damage due to oxidation stress. Namely, this healthy oil prevents the conversion and processing of T3 and T4 hormones, needs no enzyme stress, and it does not need to be broken down with enzymes. The liver experiences the oxidation damage and damage from rancid oils, conversions from T4 to T3, the elimination of long chain fats and the switch from medium chain fats (of coconut) can rebuild cell membranes and produce more enzymes. Therefore, researchers recommend the intake of more polyunsaturated fats such as coconut oil, as it has been found to be extremely beneficial in the treatment of thyroid issues. This has also been confirmed in the cases of Donna and Sharon, who experienced the same problems. Yet, Sharon started using this oil in September 2002, and it completely altered her life. She gained weight but her health was significantly improved. She had do take Cytomel and Synthroid to treat her hypothyroid disorder, but the results were not improved. Therefore, she combined the intake of coconut oil with the elimination of trans fat, sugar, soy, and she occasionally cleansed her body. When she stopped using the medication, as her doctor recommended, she became more energetic, and she could not sleep as long as previously. She gained weight only during the first three weeks, and then it went down. Yet, when she wanted to remove coconut oil from her diet as soon as she was much better, she experienced fatigue. Sharon, on the other hand, reported that she was sluggish, her metabolism was slow, and she gained weight, even if she was starving for 5 days. Yet, after she introduced coconut oil into her diet, her body fat melted, her health improved, and she lost 20 pounds. Therefore, we give you several tips to nourish the thyroid and maintain its optimal function: • Consume healthy oils such as coconut and olive oil, butter • Reduce the exposure to fluoride and mercury • Exercise regularly • Avoid salad dressings high in salt, and prepare your own at home • Consume iodine-rich foods such as kelp, black seaweed, coldwater fish, kombu • Take supplements: vitamin C, B, and E, zinc, selenium ======================================= thyroid gland ,thyroid cancer ,thyroid ,thyroid symptoms ,thyroid stimulating hormone ,thyroid function test ,thyroid disease ,thyroid diet ,thyroid medication ,thyroid hormone ,thyroid symptoms in women ,thyroid storm ,thyroid treatment ,thyroid nodules ,thyroid cancer symptoms ,symptoms of thyroid ,symptoms of thyroid cancer ,symptoms of thyroid problems ,thyroid problems ,thyroid problem symptoms ,thyroid levels ,thyroiditis ,thyroid function ,thyroid issues ,coconut oil ,hypothyroidism ,Heal The Thyroid With Coconut Oil Fast https://youtu.be/wwhdF9C_eyE Please SUBSCRIBE : http://bit.ly/2e9Su11

Thyroid Supplements for Hypothyroidism http://hypothyroiddieting.com/thyroid-supplements. If you suffer from weight gain it may be because of your thyroid! Help correct this problem and get your metabolism boosted. I would recommend you to checkout Thyromine(TM)! Weight gain is a huge side effect of hypothyroidism and to help you counter some of the effects of this condition take a look into using a natural supplement called Thyromine. All the glands in the endocrine system work together, just as all the parts of an engine must work together for the engine to operate normally. This is particularly true with the pituitary-thyroid-adrenal gland combination. This natural thyroid supplement contains the following ingredients: Adrenal Powder from Bovine - the health of the adrenal gland should be addressed first or simultaneously to the thyroid. Ginger - is used to aid digestion. Ginger also may be useful for soothing joints and muscles. There is mounting evidence that Ginger may help lower cholesterol and promote blood health. Guglipid -- an extract from the Guggal tree which if reported to block the receptors (Famesoid X Receptor) which are involved with conversion of cholesterol to bile acids, thereby regulating cholesterol levels in the body. Nori -- is one of the many varieties of seaweed, or sea vegetables which are high in mineral content. Nori contains the element, Iodine, which is absolutely essential for thyroid health. Nori is rich in all the carotenes, high in calcium, iodine, iron, and phosphorus. Piper Longum -- is a powerful (pepper like) stimulant for the digestive and respiratory systems which acts by increasing the metabolic heat energy of the body. Thyroid Powder From Bovine -- is a preparation of cleaned, dried, powdered thyroid gland obtained from domesticated food animals and free of connective tissue and fat; it contains levothyroxine and liothyronine and is used to support overall thyroid health and function. L-Tyrosine -- is a naturally occurring amino acid (from meat and vegetable proteins). Your body uses tyrosine to help make neurotransmitters which helps the brain and nervous system to function properly.
