Workout Supplement and Vitamins (Jeff Cavaliere’s Exact Plan)

09:58
Get the same exact supplements I take here… http://athleanx.com/x/exact-supplements-i-use When it comes to workout supplements and vitamins, we all know there are thousands of choices. In this video, I cover the exact choices I make when it comes to the supplements I use to help me build muscle and stay lean year round. From the vitamins and minerals I take to the workout protein powders and formulas, everything I take in a day is covered and explained. For me, my morning starts with my essential fatty acids. I take both an omega-6 fatty acid in the form of evening primrose oil, as well as a high grade pharmaceutical omega-3 fish oil. The primrose is something I take because I tend to eat a very clean diet almost devoid of the highly processed foods that commonly are in abundance in the average diet. That combined with the fact that I carry a low body fat percentage year round, tends to make my essential omega-6’s that much more essential. I also have Reynaud’s, which is a form of impaired circulation to the hands and feet, that primrose oil has been shown to be helpful in treating. The omega-3’s are taken once in the morning, and again at lunch and at dinner. The grade of the oils is of prime importance when choosing an omega-3. Like prescription grade lovaza, Dr. C’s Omega-3’s are an incredibly potent form of essential fatty acids that have been shown to not only promote overall health and well being but also speed up muscle recovery by helping you recover from muscle inflammation. There is an entire blog devoted to this topic that you can read over at http://athleanx.com/articles/supplements-articles/build-muscle-with-omega-3s Next, I turn my attention to my antioxidants. I take 1500mg of vitamin C, 1000 iu of vitamin E, CoQ10 and green tea extract to meet these needs here. As I point out in the video, I do get adequate levels of both C and E in y diet, however I still take these as an insurance policy and investment in my own health. Just be sure that you don’t take too much vitamin E as it is a fat soluble vitamin that can be taken in excess and not easily removed from the body. Green tea extract provides additional blood sugar stabilizing effects via it’s impact on insulin sensitivity and therefore finds it’s way into my daily supplement regime every morning. Each of the above vitamins are taken once with breakfast as described in the video. Next I take the ultimate insurance policy, a multivitamin. I believe again that while we tend to get the majority of our major vitamins from food, we do not necessarily address all of our micronutrient needs (especially if we tend to follow somewhat restrictive eating plans or styles) so I feel more comfortable taking a multi as a backup. One of the most important areas of late for me has been joint recovery supplementation. Having dealt with a bad right shoulder from a torn labrum, as well as two bad knees, I not only felt the need to take but actually set out and developed what I feel is the absolute most comprehensive joint recovery formula available. ATHLEAN-Rx MECHAN-X is a must take supplement for anyone training in pain or discomfort. You won’t believe how much you can compromise your gains in the gym by trying to train around pain. If you address the pain at it’s source, which is what MECHAN-X does, you can get back to seeing uncompromised gains in both strength and muscle. Finally, all of my workout supplementation needs are addressed in my ATHLEAN-Rx 1,2,3 bundle. From pre workout to post workout to nighttime muscle repair, everything I need is in those 3 bottles. Unlike vitamins, I don’t believe that all of your workout ergogenic needs can be met through food, at least without any consistency needed to see steady results. Each of my supplements contains everything your body needs exactly when it needs it surrounding your workout. These are all available at http:/athleanx.com For more videos on workout supplements and workout nutrition be sure to subscribe to our channel here on youtube at http://youtube.com/user/jdcav24

Vitamin B12 – What Causes B12 Deficiency & Good B12 Sources

07:04
What is vitamin B12, where do you get it and what depletes it? What are the best sources of vitamin B12? If you got a blood test and they told you your B12 was low, it doesn’t mean anything. Serum B12 levels do not reflect true B12 levels since most B12 in the body is stored in the liver and blood tests do not determine stored B12 levels.   http://www.MarkusNews.com B12 is stored in the body for years and years and the odds are that in that time, you will accumulate more B12. Vitamin B12 is basically bacteria poop. In the natural world, (the way we were designed to live), you would pull a carrot out of the ground, brush it off and eat it. There would be little bits of dirt and millions of microscopic organisms all over that carrot. B12! Do you actually think in the 5-7 years B12 stays in your body, you are not going to be exposed to some dirt and bacteria? Heck, even your own gut bacteria, (your probiotics) produce some B12. They say vegetarians and vegans need to supplement B12 because they don’t eat meat. That’s another joke. 90 percent of America is meat eaters and 60 percent of America is deficient in B12, … so how come half the meat eaters are low in B12? Well lets look at why meat eaters sometimes have more B12. It’s not rocket science. Meat is rotting flesh. There’s a lot of nasty bacteria in meat. The minute anything is killed- plant or animal, it starts to decay. Decaying meat requires more aggressive and dangerous bacteria than plants. If you lived in nature only eating plants, you’d be getting more than enough B12. There’s even some B12 in my green formula. Seaweed is a great source of B12. Those of you who get my Sea Moss, haha- what an experience when you open that bag huh? All dirty and smelly. What a nasty fishy smell. That’s what stuff is like when you take it fresh right out of the ocean. It’s FULL of B12. Even after washing and soaking it multiple times, there is still B12 stuck in the tiny pores. There’s B12 in nutritional yeast, even kale and farm produce that still has some dirt stuck in the cracks. Remember also, you have 5 pounds of beneficial bacteria in your gut which also produces some B12. You can feed them and make them stronger by eating more fiber- that's what they love to eat. Then there’s fermented and cultured foods- a GREAT source of B12. Every little bit adds up. And since it stays in your body for years, odds are you are getting enough B12. Now it’s possible that you may actually be low in B12. So the REAL question isn’t “where do I get B12”,…it should be “what’s robbing me of B12 and how can I stop it?” The answer to all of your health issues should not be “what do I take” but “what do I STOP doing that’s causing the problem in the first place”, otherwise you are simply trying to patch holes in a sinking ship. The first place to look is your stomach. B12 is acid dependent for absorption. Older people have B12 issues not because they don’t have enough B12 in their body, but because it can’t ABSORB properly because stomach acidity declines with age. Bread, bagels and other wheat products absorb stomach acid like a sponge. They also turn into simple sugars which feeds candida yeast and H Pylori which radically deplete stomach acid. Antacids, baking soda and alkaline water cancels out stomach acid. Most people have low stomach acid as a result from not knowing what and how to eat.  Almost everybody, even raw foodists are sugar addicts and they choose what to eat based on how it tastes, not what they really need, resulting in a body that doesn't work right. Ok, anyway, if you want B12 to absorb, you need strong stomach acid for for that you need to cut down on bread and sugar and start adding more bitter things to your diet. You can rebuild stomach acid by using more acids in your diet like apple cider vinegar, lemon etc, and also sea salt, B-complex vitamins and 50 mg zinc with meals, plus bitter greens like arugula, endives, watercress etc and also my liver formula.  Do NOT drink alkaline water! This speeds up the whole mess of weakening stomach acid, nutrient absorption, lower B12 etc. Another thing that lowers stomach acid is adrenal burnout, the biggest factors being stress and stimulants- coffee, energy drinks, sugar, stuff like that. You can strengthen your adrenals with adaptogenic herbs like licorice root, ashwagandha, schizandra berry, astragalus, jiaogulan, nettle leaf and alma berry. You can get your own or simply get my Adrenal kit where I put the herbs together for you. As B12 pills go, sublingual methylcobalamin is the kind you want, not cyanocobalamin. Sure you can pop a B12 pill. But listen to what I’m saying. Simply taking a pill is not going to necessarily make you any better if you don’t stop doing what’s causing the problem in the first place! Stop trying to hide symptoms and get rid of the cause. That’s the only real road to true health. Vegetarians do not need meat to get Vitamin B12 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/27596424

Is Coffee Bad for You?

05:11
For more info: https://draxe.com/coffee-nutrition-facts/?utm_campaign=Youtube-Jan-2015&utm_medium=social&utm_source=youtube&utm_term=coffee One of the most common questions I’ve been getting recently is, “Is coffee bad for you?” The answer is, yes … and no. Coffee is beneficial because it contains massive amounts of antioxidants, which help slow the aging process and protect you from free radical damage. Coffee also helps stimulate the liver and increases circulation, helping blood flow to the brain. Coffee can be harmful in some ways because of the amount of caffeine it contains. The caffeine in coffee can overstimulate the body, burn out your adrenal glands, and overtax your body. About 80% of people in the world will struggle with thyroid problems or fatigue issues. For this group, I wouldn’t recommend coffee because it will burn out your adrenal glands. However, if you’re generally healthy, then drinking coffee in moderate amounts can be fine, and even good for your health. I wouldn’t recommend drinking coffee past lunch time because it can affect your sleep cycle that night. Depending on the condition of your body, if you’re suffering from an autoimmune disease, coffee can make your disease worse. If you’re pretty healthy, looking for a pick-me-up, or looking for more antioxidants, then coffee can provide you these benefits. When picking out your coffee beans, I would recommend choosing all natural, organic coffee because it’s one of the most highly sprayed plants in the world. Lastly, if you’re looking for a great substitute for coffee, I would suggest drinking matcha green tea because it has great benefits and one-third the amount of caffeine. *This content is strictly the opinion of Dr. Josh Axe, and is for informational and educational purposes only. Do We Need Supplements (Vitamins & Minerals) If We Are Healthy?

Dr. Berg's Supplements: https://shop.drberg.com What Recipes Are You Interested in: https://www.drberg.com/video-idea-sur... Take Dr. Berg's Free Keto Mini-Course: http://pxlme.me/-i717vtY Dr. Berg talks about if you need supplements if you are healthy. The first question is what defined health, right? Health is more than being thin, it's tons of energy, low stress, great digestion, great mood, and cognition. Your food that is grown on fertile soils are a key factor in future health. You also have stress in the past, that can also deplete you of nutrition. If you're adapting to ketosis (fat), you're require more nutrients (B-vitamins and minerals). Then you have the environment filled with poisons and chemicals that deplete you and cause poor health. To counter this, you need phytonutrients that can cause the liver to break down these chemicals. Lastly, you have the required nutrients called RDAs - because the soils or so weak, it requires so much more nutrients to reach the min. requirements. Green Tea extract provides the metabolic – and antioxidant – support of powerful polyphenol compounds known as catechins, which have been well-researched for their support of thermogenesis. Thermogenesis is the burning of fat to produce energy in the cells of the body. Forever Therm also provides natural caffeine-related alkaloids from Guarana seed extract to help support energy levels during your workouts and busy day. Studies show that Green Tea is synergistic with natural caffeine to support thermogenesis. Green Coffee bean extract provides unique compounds – chlorogenic acids – not found in high levels in roasted coffee beans. These active constituents are shown to help inhibit the absorption of glucose and, as such, may help to support normal blood sugar levels for those already in the normal range. Such effects can help to control cravings as well as dips in energy levels. The perfect partners for this trio of metabolic-support botanicals are Raspberry Ketones, and a full complement of B vitamins with Vitamin C. Research indicates that Raspberry Ketones may help to support the metabolism of fat, which can be used by the body for energy production. B vitamins and Vitamin C are essential in the metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. Since these vitamins are readily depleted during times of physical stress – such as during exercise – replenishment is important and can play a role in metabolic support. Of course, the foundation for any successful weight management program is maintaining a healthy diet and obtaining adequate exercise. Forever Therm provides a powerful combination of botanical extracts and nutrients to support energy and metabolism and help you achieve your goals.

How Caffeine Works?

Take Dr. Berg's Advanced Evaluation Quiz: http://bit.ly/EvalQuiz Your report will then be sent via email analyzing 104 potential symptoms, giving you a much deeper insight into the cause-effect relationship of your body issues. It's free and very enlightening. Dr. Berg talks about caffeine. Caffeine is known to give you energy but how does this happen? It blocks adenosine, which is a chemical that inhibits your central nervous system. It’s the breaks of your nervous system. It increases dopamine which let you temporarily handle depression, inability to manage stress, focus…etc. Too much caffeine might increase artery stiffness down the road. It also depletes vitamin B1, calcium, and potassium. So too much is not okay, but you can do a small amount of it. Top 3 Best Fish vs. Worst Fish to Eat: Thomas DeLauer

09:07
Learn the 3 Safest fish to eat! I'll teach you more at http://www.ThomasDeLauer.com We are going to go over the top 3 fish to eat and the fish that you may want to avoid. Fish can become contaminated in a number of ways - size, species, age and location determine contamination levels. Heavy Metals: Mercury and Lead- Mercury is known to cause many health problems and is especially dangerous for children and women who are or may become pregnant. It can take 12-18 months for mercury to pass through the body, so women who may become pregnant should also work hard to avoid mercury. The nervous system and kidneys are the main targets of mercury. Children exposed to mercury may cause mental development problems, including coordination and learning handicaps. Anyone can experience mercury health effects, including: fatigue, dizziness, numbness or tingling, memory and coordination problems, irritability. If enough mercury is consumed, permanent brain and kidney damage can occur. Large, older, or predatory fish have more time and eat more contaminated foods, allowing heavy metals to bioaccumulate. Industrial Chemicals- PCBs, dioxins, DDT and other chemicals can leach from factories or garbage into our waters. These chemicals are related to cancer risk. Bottom dwelling fish are the most susceptible to these toxins, including the American eel, sea trout and wild striped bass. Radiation- The Fukushima nuclear disaster is one of the most widely discussed radiation events that has an impact on what we eat. Radiation is known to cause cancer, so avoiding foods high in radioactive compounds is important. Researching your fish choices online is the best way to avoid consuming fish that come from an area high in radiation. Choosing Fish for Your Family- The Environmental Defense Fund Seafood Selector is a great benefit when deciding what fish to avoid and what fish to load up on. Given the above concerns while also weighing in health and deliciousness, here is the list of the top three fish: (1) Pacific Sardines (US and Canada): -Low in mercury -Sustainably fished -High in omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins B12, B2, B3, D, selenium, phosphorus, calcium, copper and more -They are inexpensive and easy to find canned. (2) Wild Alaskan Salmon: -Salmon is one of the most delicious fish, rich in healthy fats. -Low in mercury and sustainably fished -Contains bioactive peptides that may support for cartilage, insulin and inflammation. -High in vitamins B12, B3, D, selenium, omega-3 fatty acids, phosphorus, B6 and many others. (3) Muscles: -Low in mercury and one of the most sustainably fished seafood sources out there -High in selenium, omega-3s, B12, iron, magnesium, potassium, phosphorus and many others. Seafood to Avoid: Due to toxins and sustainability, it is best to stay away from these types of seafood. (1) Shark: -Anything this high up on the food chain is going to be a red flag when it comes to toxins.Predators consume other fish and their toxins. The higher up on the food chain, the higher the levels of mercury and toxins in the fish. Adding to the health dangers is the unsustainable fishing practices. Sharks have long gestation periods, taking a long time to mature and have offspring. This makes overfishing or depleting their numbers easy to do. Most shark species are experiencing a large decline due to fishing, being caught as bycatch and for fins in Asia. (2) Tuna: A favorite among many sushi goers is unfortunately very high in mercury and horrible for sustainability. Some tuna is much better for you and the environment than others. If you do consume tuna, US yellowfin is the best option. Canned albacore tuna is high in mercury and should be avoided. Bluefin and imported albacore are the worst tuna options for health and sustainability - do your best to avoid these. Canned light tuna is better for you than canned white tuna when it comes to mercury, with about ⅓ the mercury content of canned white tuna. (3) Farmed Tilapia: Farmed tilapia in the US is often imported from China and Taiwan where the conditions and chemicals used are very troublesome. (4) Swordfish: All swordfish, being large hunters, are high in mercury. They are also fished very unsustainably, with large bycatch of sea turtles, sharks and seabirds. References 1. Foods High in Quercetin + Health Benefits

05:08
Foods High in Quercetin. Learn more on http://www.yourhealthremedy.com/nutrients/foods-high-quercetin/ Quercetin is a type of flavonoid antioxidant that’s found in numerous foods. Antioxidants fight against free radicals - chemically reactive compounds that damage DNA and cell membranes and also cause cell death. Quercetin is a natural antihistamine and an anti-inflammatory, making it effective for naturally lowering the effects of season and food allergies, plus skin reactions and asthma. Moreover, this flavonoid has shown that it can reduce the effects of stress in nerves while preventing depletion of nerve antioxidants due to stress. According to a 2009 study, quercetin activates the key step leading to the production of cellular glutathione1. Quercetin is available in many types of vegetables and fruits, such as - capers, red onions, red grapes, cranberries, apples, leafy green vegetables, green tea, lemons, cherries, raspberries, grapefruit, broccoli, tomatoes, oranges. Green Tea +C Overview

07:22
Green Tea + C is the natural alternative to effervescent drink mixes. Unlike the leading brand which is made up of mostly sugar, we've created a natural, sugar-free blend with Green Tea as the main ingredient. We start with Organic matcha and Japanese sencha, two antioxidant-packed varieties of Green Tea. By using the whole leaf, our powdered blend provides greater nutritional value compared to a traditional tea bag. And because Vitamin C has been shown to have as synergistic relationship with green tea (one boosts the antioxidants of the other), we've added Acerola Cherry for 300% of your daily Vitamin C. We've also included coconut water powder for replenishing electrolytes, which can become depleted during daily life and especially when fighting a cold. The wellness blend is rounded out with Ginger, Turmeric, and Orange Peel, traditionally used to support the immune system. Our ingredients are topped off with natural fruit extracts, simple minerals for natural effervescence, and stevia for a hint of sweetness. Green Tea + C is available in 3 flavor blends, all of which are Vegan, and GMO/Gluten/Sugar-free.

Natures Nectar Ultra Premium Natural Organic Matcha Green Tea

00:47
The Style Chicks have long enjoyed a good cup of green tea: a tasty warm treat that does wonders for the skin, metabolism, and energy. Green Tea aids in hair growth. Green Tea contains Vitamin B, and its' anti-inflammatory properties are significant. To get skin glowing the day before an event, we started drinking a minimum of 2-3 cups of green tea per day as was recommended in Dr. Nicholas Perricone's 3-day "Anti-inflammatory Diet." When you drink 3 cups of green tea in a day, your skin is luminous, dewy and glowing. But sometimes it is tough to consume 3 cups of green tea a day when I really feel like I just want a Diet Coke or double espresso with whip to get over my afternoon energy slump. An easy fix for this problem is to drink Matcha. Matcha tea has about half the caffeine of an espresso shot. AND it makes you extra pretty. WHAT IS MATCHA & WHY SHOULD I DRINK IT? Matcha is ground tea leaves which make for an intensely concentrated tea, something of a super tea, which has more than 100 times as much Polyphenols as regular green tea. One cup of matcha tea per day is enough for a jitter-free time released energy boost, glowing skin, weight management, increased metabolism and maximum health benefits. Matcha has highly concentrated green tea benefits, but you can get too much of a good thing. Drinking too much of any green, white or black tea can deplete iron in the blood, and all natural tea leaves, like anything else grown in soil, can have minuscule traces of lead. After one cup of matcha per day, you have gained all the Polyphenols, Amino Acids, and metabolism boost that you need. A cup of Matcha in the afternoon can be an easy alternative to drinking multiple cups of green tea or a coffee substitute when you need some energy. Personally, I can use as much caffeine as I can get, but I do enjoy the energy boost from a good cup of Matcha because there is no "crash" from it like I get from some other caffeinated drinks. A RECOMMENDED MATCHA TEA FOR DRINKING Nature's Nectar Ultra Premium Natural Matcha Green Tea is a ceremonial grade Matcha that is delicate and sweet without tasting artificially sweet. If you already drink green tea, you will notice it has a superior flavor of not tasting 'vegetable-y' or bitter, just a warm and delicate flavoring. The intensity can be richer depending on the amount of powder and water used, but this tin is a 30 day supply, 1 gram a day. Some brands are an entire teaspoon of Matcha per cup; that is too much powder for a fine grade Matcha such as this one. There is no need to over-do it with this Matcha as it has 137 times more Polyphenols than regular green tea, so you don't need more any powder than suggested to optimize your green tea benefits. Nature's Nectar Matcha is also organic and gluten free. Something else I noticed about Nature's Nectar Matcha is it is a much brighter green than the other Matcha's I have. When I select a Matcha, I look for the most vivid green I can get not just because it makes for a prettier cup of Matcha but the colorful green means it is also packed with Amino Acids. While this Matcha can be added to smoothies and drinks, but since it is such a high-grade matcha, I only drink it straight as a tea and use my less tasty Matchas for including in Matcha-based beverages. Matcha TIPS and HACKS: Once opened, store matcha in the refrigerator to maintain its fresh taste and vibrant green color. Is your Matcha tea too bitter? Bring water to only a near boil, or wait for one to two minutes after boiling before pouring the water into your cup. Water at 194 degrees Fahrenheit (90 Celsius) and below will produce sweeter Matcha tea than when mixed with boiling water. Need an extra brain power boost? The lower the temperature of the hot water, the more Theanine that brews. Theanine is the part of green tea that causes brain focusing and mental alertness. Can you tolerate a little extra bitterness for the sake of beauty? Then brew up a nice extra hot cup. Matcha makes for a great pre-workout caffeine boost that will give you sustained energy without the mid-workout crash. Nutrient dense in B Vitamins, flavonoids, enzymes, minerals, and phenols. Most powerful known anti-oxidant Renowned and tenacious adaptogen Regarded factor in longevity Anti-aging, ant-viral, anti-bacterial Immune-boosting Blood-cleansing Geno-protective Rich in Betulin and betulinic acid Naturally occurring vanillin (yum!) Chaga, as already stated, is spawned from the birch, which is a revered “medicinal tree.” The birch naturally harbors betulin and betulinic acid, which has been shown in various studies to both inhibit tumors and fight certain types of cancer cells, showing to also strengthen your other cells. Chaga has taken a concentrated extract of betulin out of the birch and made it digestible for us. Betulin is anti-mutagenic, anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, and immuno-modulating. Anti-mutagenic means that chaga has been seen to actually help to not only to protect you from, but also inhibit, genetic mutations or diseases. At an astounding 25% antioxidant makeup, it has one of, if not the highest anti-oxidant content, second to only chocolate. Chaga exceeds other mushroom supplements in antioxidants by a remarkable 23%. Chaga also contains one of the highest known concentrations of superoxide dismutase, or SOD. SOD is a naturally occurring enzyme in our bodies that helps to protect us from free radicals and, ironically, the damaging effects of oxygen. Though we need oxygen to live, one type of oxygen called singlet oxygen is one of the leading causes of aging and disease in the body. SOD’s main function is to inhibit oxidation of this type and protect your body from toxicity. SOD is naturally found in our skin and is responsible for skin-cell rebuilding, helping also to rejuvenate our skin and protect it from aging. SOD also helps to carry nitrous oxide to hair follicles, aiding in the prevention of premature hair loss or thinning. This particular enzyme is typically found in darker green vegetables, they however do not even come close to the 10,000 to 20,000 active SOD units per gram in chaga, nor is it as digestible in alternative forms. Rich in various B vitamins, flavonoids, minerals and enzymes, chaga is an inexhaustible nutritional powerhouse. It is one of the world’s densest sources of pantothenic acid, and also rich in minerals such as magnesium, calcium, potassium and zinc. Chaga contains a rich content of phenolic compounds specific to chaga that help to protect all tissues, skin in particular, harboring pigments such as melanin that has been shown to help skin become more radiant and regain color. How to Eat for More Vascularity (VEIN GAINS!)

07:49
Day by day meal plans here - http://athleanx.com/x/how-to-eat Subscribe to this channel here - http://bit.ly/2b0coMW Vascularity is the term used to describe the amount of visible veins that show through the skin. This is common to bodybuilders, athletes and anyone with low enough body fat levels to be able to see them. In this video, I’m going to show you how to eat for more vascularity and I’m going to dish up the truth about how to do it in the process. No shortcuts or gimmicks tolerated here. Just plain old science and a “say it like it is” approach to make sure you can get more veins safely if this is what you’re after. To start, I am going to require that you immediately recognize that there is one thing that must be locked in if you want to get more visible veins and that is your nutrition. I don’t care how you are training or what supplement you are taking. You will not be able to see your veins unless you are at a low enough body fat to make it possible. The rough benchmark number we use is 10 percent body fat. At this level, everyone will be able to see at least some vascularity when looking in the mirror. It may appear to be more visible on one person than another at the same body fat level which can be due to temporary hydration levels, skin thickness, etc. The bottom line though is, getting down to this level is a great goal and starting point for anyone looking to be able to see more veins popping out of their muscles. Every single percent that you drop your body fat from here can have noticeable and significant increases in the amount of vascularity that you can see. For example, if you were to get to 8 percent body fat you will likely be able to see veins in your chest and shoulders and not just your forearms. Get even lower and you will be seeing veins in your abs. How low you want to go is up to your individual goals however it is advisable that you do not drop any lower than 5% body fat at absolute max if you want to remain healthy at the same time. The strategy for getting to these lower body fat levels are always going to revolve around nutrition first. Things like supplementation and cardio, etc are all adjuncts that rely on the presence of a sound nutrition plan before you can even start talking seriously about them. The eating strategy has to be able to put you in a slight hypocaloric state. I say slight because while getting veins to show by being in severely depleted hypocaloric state is possible, it certainly isn’t healthy. Your goal should be to be very slightly hypocaloric, in the range of just a couple hundred calories a day. You should have a long term time goal as well. Getting ripped and vascular the right way should never be about short term gains and crash diets to get you there. You should know by now that this channel is not about shortcuts but science. Getting you to your goals, whatever they may be, the right way and the safe way is always the priority here as it not sacrificing your performance in the gym or on the field in the process. Once your nutrition is in place you can look towards increasing the intake of foods that either contain more niacin or some plant based nitrates. Both of these will have the end effect of either increasing peripheral blood flow or the vasodilation of the vessels perfusing your muscles. The same can be accomplished with supplementation. Ingredients like agmatine, citrulline malate and arginine are all popular and common supplement ingredients for helping you to increase the pump and vascularity. That said, all of this is extraneous unless you are committed to improving your nutrition first and foremost. Pureform Health and Vitamins

10:03
http://www.pureformhealth.com Superfoods and pure vitamins Recent dietary research has uncovered 14 different nutrient-dense foods that time and again promote good overall health. Coined superfoods, they tend to have fewer calories, higher levels of vitamins and minerals, and many disease-fighting antioxidants. Beans (legumes), berries (especially blueberries), broccoli, green tea, nuts (especially walnuts), oranges, pumpkin, salmon. soy, spinach, tomatoes, turkey, whole grains and oats, and yogurt can all help stop and even reverse diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, Alzheimers, and some forms of cancer. And where one might have an effect on a certain part of the body, it can also affect the health of other body functions and performance, since the whole body is connected. With these 14 foods as the base of a balanced, solid diet, weight loss gimmicks and other fly-by-night programs can become a thing of the past in your life. Conversely, the ill-effects of an unbalanced diet are several and varied. Low energy levels, mood swings, tired all the time, weight change, uncomfortable with body are just a few signs that your diet is unbalanced. An unbalanced diet can cause problems with maintenance of body tissues, growth and development, brain and nervous system function, as well as problems with bone and muscle systems. Symptoms of malnutrition include lack of energy, irritability, a weakened immune system leading to frequent colds or allergies, and mineral depletion that can trigger a variety of health concerns including anemia. And since the body is connected, realizing that an unhealthy body will result in an unhealthy spirit only makes sense. When we nourish our body with these superfoods and complement them with other nutrient-dense and healthy fresh foods, our spirit will be vitalized and healthy as a direct result. Many modern diets based on prepackaged convenience foods are sorely lacking in many vitamins and minerals, which can affect our mental capacities as well, and cause irritability, confusion, and the feeling of being in a fog all the time. Superfoods can be the basis of a sound, healthy, nutritious solution to curing many of these ailments and more. http://www.pureformhealth.com

☕ The Major Health Problem With Energy Drinks and Caffeine

08:17
An “all-in-one” formula for instantly increasing your energy levels and improving memory naturally: 🤜 http://drsam.co/yt/BoostYourEnergy ======================================= ☕ The Major Health Problem With Energy Drinks and Caffeine ======================================= Unfortunately, Energy Drinks Are HORRIBLE For Your Health Do they taste good? Yes… but that’s because they either have lots of sugar (over 60 grams and 250 calories worth). Or the sugar-free ones are loaded with toxic artificial sweeteners. Are they healthy for you? Nope! Just because they contain a few vitamins, doesn’t mean they are healthy. Secondly, they make your body very acidic which is known to cause cancer and accelerate aging.9 Energy drinks are linked to many health problems, but these are the big ones in my opinion: Heart problems — cardiac arrest1, high blood pressure2, decreased arterial health1 and more. Physical problems — headaches, migraines, insomnia5, arthritis3, addictive, type 2 diabetes6, erectile dysfunction and poor blood flow11. Emotional problems — anxiety, panic attacks, nervousness, and depression.7 Do they give you energy? Yes they do, but that’s because of the massive dose of CAFFEINE they contain! That’s 3-4 cups of strong coffee. Trust me, take out the caffeine and there is no “energy” in these drinks. As you can see, there are lots of problems with energy drinks, but … The WORST Problem Of All The WORST problem with energy drinks is the caffeine consumption and the negative change in your hormones due to the RISE in your “stress hormone” called, cortisol! The elevation in this stress hormone is the cause of many of the above mentioned negative effects. Why We Like Caffeine So Much So, why do you or anyone even take caffeine products?… You can have “decaf” coffee, tea or energy drinks. It tastes the same. At the end of the day, it’s simply because you like how the caffeine makes you FEEL. After all, it IS a drug! We like the temporary extra energy levels — both physical and mental. Additionally, caffeine temporarily increases dopamine levels slightly. Dopamine is known as the “pleasure chemical”. So, another reason caffeine makes us “happy”. However, after continued use (usually 7-10 days): -your adrenal glands become overworked, -cortisol levels increase, -dopamine receptors become desensitized -and caffeine is NO LONGER making you “energized and happy”… Many times you have mid-day “caffeine crash”, which means MORE caffeine (coffee, energy drinks, etc.). Thus, why it’s addictive. And when you get off, the opposite happens — you’re super tired, anxious and depressed! How To Increase Your Energy Levels & Feel Good, WITHOUT Caffeine! The good news is that with the correct combination of natural ingredients, you’ll get MANY MORE BENEFITS. When increasing your energy levels – you want to focus on BOTH physical and mental energy. Increase ATP & Mitochondria A common complaint among people, especially older adults is the loss of physical and mental energy. You can naturally increase these by taking Rhodiola Extract, NADH, CoQ10, PQQ and Acetyl-L-Carnitine. Improve Dopamine This is a neurotransmitter that regulates your mood and cognition/memory. It’s known as the anti-aging “pleasure chemical”. It gives you a natural “high”. You can naturally increase dopamine by using wild green oat extract, velvet bean extracts and L-Theanine Decrease Stress Hormones As stated earlier, caffeine increases (NOT what you want) your stress hormones and depletes your adrenal glands, which leads to fatigue, weight gain and depression. You can naturally decrease stress hormones and improve your memory by taking Bacopa and Ashwagandha extract, Phosphyatidylserine and Tyrosine. Increase Acetylcholine & Oxygen Proper acetylcholine function is essential to muscle control, sleep, and cognition… and the prevention of dementia, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease.12 Additionally, increasing oxygen to your cells – both brain and muscle, will dramatically increase your energy levels and slow the aging process.13-16 To increase acetylcholine – you can take Alpha-GPC, Choline and Huperzine-A. And to improve oxygen to your cells, you should take Ginkgo Biloba and Vinpocetine. Total Body & Brain Energy Remember, your goal is to increase your energy levels to BOTH your body (muscles) and brain (neurotransmitters), while reducing the aging process at the same time. ======================================== Thank you for watching. Rosehip syrup is another good remedy because it contains large amounts of vitamins and minerals. These minerals in turn help cleanse the blood and the body from various toxins. 4. One can use herbal infusions like Tutsan Herbal Infusion, Wormwood, Chamomile, Dandelion... 5. An effective alcohol detox practice is drinking a mixture of milk and honey. Milk is rich in vitamin D and honey is good for replenishing blood sugar. One just has to make sure they are not lactose intolerant. Another word of caution. Provided that you have been drinking for a long period of time and have depleted thiamin, you should be careful about consuming sugars as it can lead to "wet brain" - often permanent and irreversible brain damage. 6. Taking aspirin is another alcohol detox technique because it blocks the decay products of alcohol; it also has pain killing effect. If your stomach is sensitive to it, or if you have an upset stomach, aspirin might make it worse. ! Forced vomiting as an Alcohol Detox method is not recommended as one's gag reflex can be affected. This can cause the person to inhale vomit in their lungs by accident which can lead to fatal injury to their lungs. 7. Ibuprofen (Advil for instance) is gentler on the stomach and it is another remedy for detoxifying the body from alcohol poisoning. 8. Green tea is another remedy because it cleanses the body from toxins. The antioxidants in green tea neutralize harmful substances in many cells of the body thus detoxifying it. Foods Pay special attention to the food you eat. 1. Avoid anything greasy, fried, or smoked. 2. Try to eat more fruit, vegetables, and herbs. Eat apples, pears, cucumbers, lettuce, parsley, and cabbage. Rather try and go on a vegetarian diet. 3. Be sure to include in your detox diet fresh tomatoes and tomato juice as it is a powerful natural antioxidant, which is able to rid the body of toxic substances. When your body is poisoned with alcohol, it is necessary to remove acetaldehyde from the body. It is a toxic product of ethanol metabolism in the liver and it is a poison that the body can not remove by itself. One can only perform Alcohol Detox at home as an initial step of the poisoning removal. In the case the symptoms of poisoning severe, then you must go to the hospital right away. In conclusion, one must remember that prevention is better than cure. Stay healthy, folks!

Water Retention: How to Reduce Bloating from Sodium- Thomas DeLauer

Water Retention: How to Reduce Bloating from Sodium- Thomas DeLauer… http://www.ThomasDeLauer.com is where it's at! Dandelion Root: Dandelion is the name of Taraxacum, a large family of flowering plants found everywhere in the world. Dandelion acts as a natural diuretic, which is any substance that promotes diuresis, that is, the increased production of urine. Dandelion causes kidneys to increase the volume of urine and expel the extra salt accumulated inside the body. By stimulating more urine production, dandelion affects the blood volume and water balance in your body, causing excess fluid to move out of the body tissues. Additionally, dandelion contains taraxasterol. The diuretic effect of dandelion is believed to be due to taraxasterol. This plant sterol removes fluids from spaces between tissues and the skin. Taraxasterol is also anti-allergic, anti-oxidant, and anti-inflammatory. (1,2,3) Magnesium: Magnesium is important in the body because of its affinity for phosphates in biological systems. For this reason, it is needed for any biochemical reaction involving ATP (Adenosine triphosphate), the chief energy molecule in the cell. Magnesium is also required for synthesizing DNA and RNA. In humans, the mineral can be found mostly in the skeleton and inside the cells. Exercise: Aside from diuretics, such as dandelion and magnesium, exercise can also play a role in the reduction of water retention. Exercise does not need to be intense - simple, regular exercises are appropriate, and you should take a few minutes of rest while exercising to prevent the development of exercise-induced edema. Swimming: Swimming/treading water helps to reduce symptoms of edema. The force exerted by muscles against the pressure of water helps in moving the fluid buildup from tissues. This is favorable for those with edema because there is less stress on muscles and joints. Walking: The leg contractions while walking, helps in releasing the trapped fluid out of the tissues. It also improves blood circulation that flushes out the excess fluids. References: 1) Dandelion and Water Retention - How it Helps - ProgressiveHealth.com. (n.d.). » Best Diet For Removing Calcium Deposits & Plaque Buildup From Your Blocked Arteries

05:24
How I quickly improved my dad’s blood flow and circulation in only 30 days - NO drugs or diets! ►► http://drsam.co/yt/CureBlockedArteriesNaturally =============================================== Best Diet For Removing Calcium Deposits & Plaque Buildup From Your Clogged Arteries =============================================== When attempting to remove calcium deposits from the their blocked arteries, most people mistakenly stop eating any food that contains calcium. This is wrong and counterproductive because calcium has many benefits and it’s a very important mineral, especially in your BONES… But NOT in your arteries and heart. In fact, calcium deposits and plaque buildup is a sign of early aging. So you really need to be proactive and reverse and remove calcium and plaque buildup For anti-aging purposes For improved blood flow and circulation To help reduce your risk of a heart attack or stroke. And the good news is that no matter how old you are or how “bad” things may seem in your arteries, you can DEFINITELY help reverse and remove calcium and plaque buildup… quickly and easily. And you can do it naturally, without drugs or crazy restrictive diets. I’ve done it over and over again with hundreds and thousands of my clients, including my father! Your “Diet” The types of foods you eat AND avoid is very important for removing plaque building and preventing calcium deposits in your arteries and veins. The right foods will direct calcium and important minerals directly into your bones, instead of your arteries. The best type of diet to follow is an anti-inflammatory and low insulin-stimulating/blood sugar diet. CARBOHYDRATES 50% of your diet should come from low-glycemic, anti-inflammatory carbohydrates. This is because high insulin levels due to high blood sugar from the WRONG forms of carbohydrates, causes plaque to build in the lining of your arteries. There’s nothing wrong with carbohydrates… You just want to eliminate or minimize sugars and simple carbs such as white bread, cereals, pasta and most carbs that come in a “box”. Instead, you want to eat more natural carbohydrates such as Yams/sweet potatoes Quinoa Buckwheat (contains NO wheat or gluten) Legumes/beans Some fruit Lots of vegetables PROTEINS Less than 25% should come from healthy proteins. Most people eat way too much protein, especially in America. It’s not natural to eat so much protein. Your body doesn’t require much protein and “high protein” diets actually CAUSE plaque and calcium buildup in your arteries. Best Healthy Proteins Wild caught fish (salmon is great) Grass fed bison/buffalo Free range eggs (including the yolks) Small amounts of free-range chicken FATS 25% from healthy fats Most people eat way too much of the WRONG fats and barely any healthy “good” fats. Stay away from hydrogenated oils and trans fats. Do NOT cook or heat your fats. Stay away from most vegetable oils, especially the junk at the local supermarket. These are the WORST types of fats because they cause plaque buildup. Best Healthy Fats: Organic, extra virgin coconut Organic avocado Extra virgin olive oil Raw nuts (almonds & walnuts are great) LIQUIDS Don’t drink your calories. Nothing with sugars. No sodas, even if they are “no calories” because they acidify your body and cause calcium deposits. You also need to eliminate dairy. Milk is for babies and cow milk is for BABY COWS! Drink lots of water (lemon for taste), some green tea and maybe 1-2 cups of organic coffee. You Don't Need Milk for Strong Bones: How to Strengthen Bones without Calcium

The simple fact of the matter is that bone density plays a big role in everything that we are working towards, whether it's fitness or long-term health. The lame thing is, most of the industry and most of the mainstream is leading us totally astray. They're telling us that calcium is the most important thing, when in reality, when it comes down to bone health, when it comes down to making sure your tendons and your joints and everything are really functioning at their best, there are a lot of other things that are much more critical to pay attention to. So in this video, I'm going to address the truth behind bone density and the truth behind the minerals that you truly need. Let's start with Vitamin D, because it's one that a lot of people know about. It's one of the big right now, everyone's talking about it. Simple fact of the matter is, getting your Vitamin D from sunlight is always going to be the best bet. You can take a supplemental Vitamin D, but here's the thing. Some people have their opinions, and there's some science that's starting to show that taking Vitamin D3 could deplete your Retinol levels. Now I'm not saying don't take a Vitamin D supplement, but what I am saying is making sure that you're modulating it. See, what Vitamin D does, is it helps corral the calcium and put it into the right places. That's why when you look on a carton of milk a lot of times it will say, "Calcium plus Vitamin D", because they do sort of work kind of harmoniously. But what we have to remember is that we don't want to over do it, if anything. Getting it from sunlight, always going to be the best. However, there was one study that was published in 2005 in the Journal of the American Medical Association, that found that just taking 700 to 800 IUs of Vitamin D daily did dramatically decrease the risk of hip fractures in post menopausal women. Now, that's not the end-all-be-all, doesn't mean everything, but it is just some science to explain to you. But now, let's talk about calcium for a second. Okay, calcium, we're led to believe is the end-all-be-all. We are likely not deficient in calcium. Between dairy, between almonds, between salmon, between leafy greens, it is highly unlikely that you have a deficiency in calcium. In fact, if you were to actually get your blood work done, you'd probably find you're not that deficient in calcium. We're quite frankly a little bit brainwashed to believe that we inherently have a deficiency in calcium, when in reality calcium and magnesium work together and magnesium plays a bigger role than we might think. You see, magnesium can actually help regulate the serum levels of calcium in the body. Magnesium actually regulates the calcium transport in the body. In fact, there is a positive correlation between magnesium levels and calcium that's going into the bones. Yeah, believe it or not, more magnesium equals more density in the bones. Now what we have to do is we have to understand the relationship between calcium and magnesium, because in a lot of ways, they're sort of the opposite. Whereas calcium excites a cell, magnesium encourages the relaxation of that cell. Then where calcium causes the blood to clot, magnesium generally helps keep blood flowing. The same kind of thing when it comes down to muscle contractions. Calcium is going to increase the muscle's ability to contract, whereas magnesium is going to allow that muscle to relax. It's not a good thing or a bad thing, we just have to remember that relationship, and the yin and the yang and the balance between calcium and magnesium. Here's the problem. Most people in the western world are consuming three and a half times as much calcium as they are magnesium. If you're looking at balance here, how does that equate? This study was published in 1993 in the Journal of Magnesium Research. What it did, is it took a look at 31 postmenopausal women. These women, they compared to a control group. The 31 women, they gave 125mg of magnesium six times per day for two years. Then, the other group they gave nothing. It was a control group. References 1. Should You Consume Caffeine Before or After Workout

03:50
Should You Consume Caffeine Before or After Workout Caffeine is a very powerful stimulant and is best utilized if you consume it before workout. Caffeine consumed before workout can help increase concentration, boost performance and even fasten the fat loss process provided you also follow a healthy diet pattern. However consuming too much caffeine can have potential side effects which are low b vitamin levels in the body, depleted calcium stores and even addiction to caffeine which can create mood swings. So do compare pros and cons before starting caffeine. How to Prevent Wrinkles

02:35
Watch more Skin Care 101 videos: http://www.howcast.com/videos/143624-How-to-Prevent-Wrinkles Take steps today to keep your complexion wrinkle-free. Step 1: Prevent sun damage Protect your skin from sun damage every single day, year-round, by wearing a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a minimum SPF 15—including on your lips. And wear sunglasses to prevent squinting. Tip Look for sunscreen that contains Mexoryl SX, an ingredient that is more effective at blocking UVA rays than other compounds. Step 2: Curb sweets Cut down on sugar, which some dermatologists believe attaches itself to collagen, causing stiffness that leads to wrinkles. Step 3: Eat anti-wrinkle foods Eat foods that have been linked to wrinkle prevention: beans, berries, almonds, apples, apricots, oily fish, spinach, sunflower seeds, sweet potatoes, cooked tomatoes, and watermelon. Step 4: Drink from the fountain of youth Try beverages that have been linked with smooth skin. Acai berry juice, goji berry juice, and green tea may inhibit wrinkles and help regenerate skin. Tip Aim for 4 oz. daily of goji or acai juice and one cup of green tea. Step 5: Apply the right face cream Apply a daily face cream containing the ingredient retinol, a form of vitamin A that boosts collagen, plus a few of the following antioxidants that prevent wrinkles by protecting skin against free-radical damage: vitamin E, coenzyme Q10, green tea, acai berry, caffeine, and selenium. Tip To make sure you’re getting the most anti-wrinkle bang for your buck, look for a cream that lists an antioxidant-containing nutrient as one of the first five ingredients. Step 6: Moisturize before bed Apply moisturizer just before you go to bed. Dehydrated skin creases more easily, leading to lines. To further minimize wrinkling, sleep on your back. Step 7: Don’t smoke Don’t smoke, and avoid second-hand smoke. Smoking depletes your skin of oxygen and essential nutrients like vitamin A. It also damages collagen and elastin fibers, which are key to maintaining elasticity. Step 8: Limit booze Limit alcohol intake. Alcohol dehydrates skin, leading to wrinkling. When you do drink, choose red wine, which offers antioxidants to offset alcohol’s negative impact. Did You Know? A study of 400 elderly men and women found that those who ate the most leafy green vegetables and beans had the fewest wrinkles.

How to Lower Uric Acid Naturally

04:09
High levels of uric acid in the blood, also called hyperuricemia, can result from either increased production of uric acid in the body or decreased excretion of it through the kidneys. It can further lead to problems like gouty arthritis, kidney stones and renal failure. Factors that can contribute to a high uric acid level include a diet high in purines (purines are broken down into uric acid), excess alcohol consumption, renal insufficiency, obesity, underactive thyroid, genetics, diabetes, acidosis, and certain other diseases. There are some tips and natural remedies that can help reduce and control uric acid levels. 1. Apple Cider Vinegar Being a natural cleanser and detoxifier, apple cider vinegar can help remove wastes like uric acid from the body. It contains malic acid that helps break down and eliminate uric acid. Add one teaspoon of raw, organic, unpasteurized apple cider vinegar to a glass of water. Drink this solution two or three times a day. You can gradually increase the amount of apple cider vinegar up to two tablespoons per glass of water and continue this remedy until your uric acid levels come down. 2. Lemon Juice Though it may seem that lemon juice will make the body more acidic, in actuality, it produces an alkaline effect and helps neutralize uric acid. Plus, its vitamin C content also helps lower uric acid levels. Squeeze the juice of one lemon into a glass of warm water. Drink it in the morning on an empty stomach. Continue for at least a few weeks. 3. Cherries Cherries and dark berries contain chemicals that help reduce uric acid levels. Eat one-half cup of cherries daily for a few weeks. You can also drink one or two cups of tart cherry juice for about four weeks. For even better results, add blueberries, strawberries, tomatoes and bell peppers to your diet. 4. Baking Soda Baking soda, is highly beneficial for lowering uric acid levels and reducing gout pain. It helps maintain the natural alkaline balance in the body and makes the uric acid more soluble and easier to flush out of the kidneys. Mix one-half teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of water. Drink up to four glasses of this daily for two weeks. You can drink it every two to four hours. Do not take this remedy on a regular basis. Also, do not take this remedy if you suffer from high blood pressure. People age 60 or older should not drink more than 3 glasses per day. 5. Olive Oil Most vegetable oils turn into rancid fats when heated or processed. The rancid fats destroy the vital vitamin E in the body, which is essential for controlling uric acid levels. Opt for cold-pressed olive oil rather than using vegetable oil or butter. Olive oil contains monounsaturated fats, vitamin E and antioxidants and has anti-inflammatory benefits. 6. Water Drinking plenty of water helps optimize uric acid filtering. It helps dilute the uric acid and stimulates the kidneys to eliminate excess amounts from the body through urine. Drinking adequate water regularly can reduce the risk of recurrent gout attacks. Drink at least eight to 10 glasses of water throughout the day. Also, include more fluids and fresh, water-rich fruits like watermelons, strawberries and tomatoes, and vegetables like cucumber, lettuce and celery in your diet. Healthy Food Supplements

03:21
https://tipstoyourhealth.com Should you replace food with supplements? Food First, Then Supplements. Vitamins and other dietary supplements are not intended to be a food substitute. They cannot replace all of the nutrients and benefits of whole foods. https://tipstoyourhealth.com Do any diet supplements really work? Eat a healthy low-calorie diet with lots of fruits and vegetables and be physically active. Weight-loss pills — prescription medicines, nonprescription drugs, herbal medicines or other dietary supplements — are all, at best, tools that may help with weight loss. https://tipstoyourhealth.com Why is it important to take supplements? Diet is not the sole force behind the national plague of nutrient deficiencies. Home Remedies For Fatigue & When You'r Feeling Tired - Weakness and Body Tiredness.

02:26
Fatigue Have you ever felt so tired that you feel exhausted even after you get up from sleep? Do you also feel constantly tired and exhausted through the day? If yes, you could be suffering from fatigue. Fatigue can be due to mental or physical reasons. Besides the tiredness, the most common symptoms are extreme weakness, no motivation to do anything, and lack of energy and concentration. The physical manifestations include headaches, dizziness, aching or sore muscles. But fatigue could also be a symptom of some other underlying cause, which you need to get checked by a physician. So what causes fatigue? It is mainly inadequate sleep, a very common thing today, and strenuous physical activity. Other reasons are vitamin deficiency, and dehydration which leads to loss of body fluids due to vomiting or diarrhea. Mental fatigue, however, is the result of stress and depression. Here are some home remedies to help boost your energy and get you back on your feet. Remove the seeds of four to five amla, or Indian gooseberries. Make a paste of this. Take about 300 ml of water in a pan and heat it. When the water becomes hot, add the paste. Let it come to a boil, and then simmer for another 15-20 minutes Remove the liquid from the heat and allow it to cool. Strain the liquid, add in some honey, and drink this three times a day A well balanced diet is very important to prevent fatigue, and equally important to not skip breakfast. Have an egg for breakfast, it provides energy to get you through the day. Coffee is another energizer that can help fight fatigue. A cup or two can help revitalize you, but it is best to have this in moderation. Drink at least 8-10 glasses of water a day, fruit juices, green tea and milk, all of which keep you well hydrated, and keep tiredness at bay. Unicity Core Health - Vitamin re-engineered for today's living !

03:26
Most multivitamins today are based on outdated 1930’s formulas that attempt to provide a daily value of vitamins A-Z. The nutrients found in most multivitamins are known as primary metabolites, and while they may provide some supplementation, their benefits are limited. Scientific research shows that the vitamin can, and should, do much more. Pollution, soil depletion, poor farming practices, processed food—each of these things prevent us from getting the nutrients we need: secondary metabolites. Secondary metabolites are whole food microflora found in plants that are thriving under healthy conditions. Science has shown that secondary metabolites hold the key to regulating genes. Core health uses genomeceutical technology to help body function properly, by promoting long-term circulatory, metabolic, and heart health. Science has shown that certain ingredients impact us at different times, so we have formulated this product with a special innovation—AM/PM doses designed to optimize the ingredients’ benefits and a Phyto tablet that delivers secondary metabolites. Core health boasts 41 active secondary metabolites from a proprietary botanical blend. INGREDIENTS Broccoli Sprout, Onion, Tomato, Carrot, Spinach, Kale, Brussels Sprout, Green Coffee, Acai, Apple, Raspberry FAQ - Do I really need to take a multivitamin? Core Health is formulated to provide the body with nutrients that are commonly missing from the average healthy diet. Core Health uses a proprietary botanical blend that contains 41 different whole-food extracts designed to help the body naturally regulate its genes and nourish long-term health in several body systems. Why is Core Health packaged in individual daily portions? Some of Core Health’s natural whole food extracts are prone to oxidations and need to be kept fresh to maintain their full bioavailability. The packaging is designed to protect and preserve these ingredients. The individual daily portions also provide convenience and flexibility for consumers. Instead of carrying around a bottle of vitamins or a clunky storage container, consumers can grab a small, slim packet that fits easily in any pocket or purse. Do I take Core Health before or after I eat? We recommend taking Core Health with your meals. Order your #Unicity products online here ~ https://goo.gl/omjKRz. Herbal Teas That Provide Relief From Common Ailments - Herbal Tea Remedies to Keep You Healthy

05:21
Steaming, delicious herbal tea can do more for us than act as an afternoon drink. A wide variety of herbs have healing applications, and they can be administered as a beneficial cup of tea. From classic calming herbs such as lavender and chamomile to garden standbys such as rosehips and sage—and even plants known as weeds such as dandelion—many herbs can help us feel better on a regular basis. Rosehips to Boost Immunity Rosehips are actually the portion of the rose flower directly below the petals. They contain the seed of the rose plant and the dried rosehips and the seeds are used to make medicine. Rosehips make a wonderful source of immune-boosting vitamin C and have even been used in the past to treat scurvy. In fact, by volume, rosehips contain about 20 times the vitamin C as oranges. TO MAKE TEA: Combine 4 tablespoons whole dried rosehips with 4 cups water in a saucepan. Cover, bring to a boil, then simmer for 5 minutes. Strain into a teapot, and drink when sufficiently cool. Dandelion for Bone Health Although it’s generally regarded as a weed, this plant is packed with essential minerals such as iron, potassium and beta-carotene, plus vitamins A, C and D. Combined with a physically active lifestyle, the powerful punch of vitamin D in dandelion tea can help build strong bones and ward off osteoporosis. The young, delicate leaves are also delicious in a salad or steamed with garlic and chili pepper flakes. TO MAKE TEA: Boil 1 quart water. Turn off heat and add 4 tablespoons dandelion leaf. Cover and steep 30 to 60 minutes, then strain. Thyme for Cold and Flu Thyme has antiviral and antibacterial properties that are just the ticket when you’re dealing with general cold or flu symptoms. Given that thyme is a great source of vitamins C and A, it’s a perfect fit for trying to preempt a cold or to help battle a full-blown attack. Thyme is also known to work well for congestion and chest colds because of its expectorant properties. It helps break up mucus and has even been used to assist with conditions such as bronchitis and other respiratory-related illnesses. TO MAKE TEA: In a cup of hot water put 2-3 teaspoons fresh or dried thyme leaves and cover to infuse for 10 or 15 minutes, depending on how concentrated you want the tea to be. Then strain and enjoy. Raspberry Leaf for Menstrual Cramps Raspberry leaf is naturally rich in nutrients, including magnesium, potassium, iron and B vitamins. Thanks to its unique components, it’s perfect for the female reproductive system. Use it to soothe menstrual cramps, as it can strengthen the uterus and pelvic muscles. Its astringent properties also make it wonderful for alleviating motion sickness and dispelling diarrhea. It helps “dry up” the mucous membrane of the intestine. Note: Raspberry leaf should not be taken during pregnancy. TO MAKE TEA: Steep 1 tablespoon dried raspberry leaf in 8 ounces boiling water for at least 5 minutes. Drink up to six cups a day for acute problems as needed. Sage for Sore Throats This garden staple is easy to grow, beautiful in the garden and has the benefit of making a throat-soothing tea. Its antimicrobial properties help you fight off colds, as well as treating the accompanying symptoms such as a sore throat. Note: Avoid using sage if you have epilepsy. TO MAKE TEA: Combine 3 teaspoons dried sage leaves or 10 fresh sage leaves and 1 cup boiling water. Let steep 5 minutes. Then strain and enjoy. Lavender for Sleep Problems A beautiful and fragrant addition to any garden, lavender has profound relaxing, calming and uplifting effects. A number of studies have shown this violet beauty to help slow the activity of the nervous system, improve sleep quality, promote relaxation and lift mood. It’s most popular as an aromatherapy aid, where it’s used in inhalation therapy to treat headaches and reduce stress, as well as a topical aid where its antifungal actions come in handy. But it also makes a wonderful healing tea. TO MAKE TEA: Steep 4 teaspoons fresh lavender buds in 1 cup boiling water for 10 minutes, then enjoy! These medicinal teas are great to improve overall health and help you feel great.
