It also keeps toxins from building up in the joints and connective tissues. 2. Take one cup of warm water. Mix one teaspoon of apple cider vinegar and one teaspoon of honey in it. Dry grind a mixture of six teaspoons of dried ginger, six teaspoons of caraway seed powder, and three teaspoons of black pepper powder. Take a ½ teaspoon of this mixture with water three times a day. If you put ginger oil on the hurt area all the time, it can help ease pain, swelling, and stiffness. 4. Massage. A great way to get rid of the pain and swelling from arthritis is by massaging the area with mustard oil. This oil works as a natural cream and helps with blood flow. 5. Turmeric. If you take turmeric all the time it can help bring down swelling. This is because it has curcumin, which stops swelling. It is very good for treating rheumatoid arthritis. You can take 500 mg to 1,000 mg turmeric capsules three times a day. You can also drink fresh turmeric juice, or a glass of warm milk mixed with one teaspoon of turmeric powder every day before bed. 6. Epsom Salt. Epsom salt, which is full of magnesium, helps even out the acid levels in the body. This is important because some inflammatory diseases like arthritis are caused by too much acid in the body. Mix even amounts of Epsom salt and lemon juice in half a cup of warm water. Drink one teaspoon of the mixture two times a day, one in the morning and one at night. You can also add one cup of Epsom salt to warm bath water and soak in it. 7. Cinnamon. Because cinnamon helps bring down swelling and has antioxidants, it is great for easing the pain from arthritis. Take a cup of warm water and mix in a ½ teaspoon of cinnamon powder and one tablespoon of honey. Drink this mixture every morning on an empty stomach. Do this every day for a few days in a row. You can also make cinnamon and honey into a paste and massage it gently on the painful area. 8. Fish Oil. Fish oil has omega-3 fatty acids that help stop swelling in the body and ease pain. Eat one to two teaspoons of fish oil every day. Taking fish oil supplements in the morning when your stomach is empty will help ease morning stiffness. Together with supplements, you should eat cold-water fish and other natural foods like flax seeds that have a lot of omega-3 fatty acids. 9. Alfalfa. Alfalfa can also help people with arthritis, because it is full of minerals and helps even out acid levels in the body. You can make a healthy cup of tea using alfalfa seeds. Add ½ or one teaspoon of alfalfa seeds to a cup of boiling water. Let it boil for 20 to 30 minutes with a cover on and then drain it. Drink the tea two times a day for two to three weeks to bring down swelling. 10. Cherries. Because cherries have a lot of magnesium and potassium, they are very good for people with arthritis. There was a study published in Atherosclerosis in 1987 involving 15 people with high blood cholesterol levels. They were given 40 grams of alfalfa seeds three times a day for 2 months. The result was that cholesterol levels decreased by around 17% and LDL cholesterol, which clogs up arteries decreased by around 18%. What is really interesting is that the patients were monitored when they stopped consuming alfalfa and their cholesterol levels increased. The reason why cholesterol is so important is because it a huge contributor to heart disease, which is the number 1 reason to death. Also, if someone has too much LDL cholesterol it will inhibit blood flow and this will negatively affect what ever organs that need that blood. The next area that alfalfa can help is another huge problem in our society. The reason it's a major problem is because it tastes so darn good and do you know what I'm talking about? Yes, it's sugar and consuming too much of it can lead to diabetes. Unfortunately other benefits of this plant is really speculatory. For example there is some folklore that it can help the digestive system, yet there are not any clinical studies that prove that it can. There are also some rumors that it may help with blood sugar levels, arthritis, the urinary system and asthma, but there isn't solid evidence that it can help. Perhaps in the future scientific studies may prove that this plant can provide additional benefits and that would be a good thing. To sum everything up the leading alfalfa benefits is that it contains a lot of vitamins and antioxidants. These antioxidants can stop free radical damage to organs, skin cells which may prevent cancer and enable someone to live longer. Fortunately, there are some useful home remedies to treat Arthritis. Home Remedies for Rheumatoid Arthritis Turmeric Turmeric, a yellow spice that contains a potent compound called curcumin, which helps heal inflammation. It is primarily used to reduce pain and swelling in people who are suffering from arthritis. Therefore, take turmeric regularly, either in capsules or water turmeric or turmeric cooked or turmeric mixed in warm milk and drink this milk before going to bed for sleep to gain control over pain. Apple cider vinegar Apple cider vinegar is rich in calcium, magnesium, potassium and phosphorus which are essential to relieve joint pain. So, grab a cup of warm water and add a teaspoon of ACV and honey in it. Mix it with water and drink it in the morning to remove toxins build up in the joints and connective tissues. Use Alfalfa Seeds You can make a cup of tea healthy use of alfalfa seeds. Simply add half or one teaspoon of seeds to a cup of boiling water. Let simmer for 20 to 30 minutes with a lid and then strain it. Drink this twice a day for two to three weeks to reduce swelling. You can also opt for alfalfa capsules which are readily available in the market and can be taken every day. 7. Use Borage Seed oil Regularly massage borage seed oil in the affected area to help heal painful and swollen joints area. 8. You may see other signs of arthritis, like redness and swelling around the joints, together with the pain. It might also be hard to move the body parts that are hurt, and they may be stiff. A doctor can give you medicine to treat arthritis, and you can find some over- the- counter medications to help with pain. But lots of people feel a bit better from keeping moving and by using some of these simple, natural cures. Apple Cider Vinegar Apple cider vinegar is full of minerals like calcium, magnesium, potassium, and phosphorous. For this reason it is great for lessening pain in the joints. It also keeps toxins from building up in the joints and connective tissues. Take one cup of warm water. Mix one teaspoon of apple cider vinegar and one teaspoon of honey in it. Drink this mixture every morning for its alkalizing effect. Ginger Because ginger brings down swelling it’s a good idea for treating arthritis. Dry grind a mixture of six teaspoons of dried ginger, six teaspoons of caraway seed powder, and three teaspoons of black pepper powder. Take a ½ teaspoon of this mixture with water three times a day. If you put ginger oil on the hurt area all the time, it can help ease pain, swelling, and stiffness. Massage A great way to get rid of the pain and swelling from arthritis is by massaging the area with mustard oil. This oil works as a natural cream and helps with blood flow. Turmeric If you take turmeric all the time it can help bring down swelling. This is because it has curcumin, which stops swelling. It is very good for treating rheumatoid arthritis. You can take 500 mg to 1,000 mg turmeric capsules three times a day. You can also drink fresh turmeric juice, or a glass of warm milk mixed with one teaspoon of turmeric powder every day before bed. Epsom Salt Epsom salt, which is full of magnesium, helps even out the acid levels in the body. This is important because some inflammatory diseases like arthritis are caused by too much acid in the body. Mix even amounts of Epsom salt and lemon juice in half a cup of warm water. Drink one teaspoon of the mixture two times a day, one in the morning and one at night. You can also add one cup of Epsom salt to warm bath water and soak in it. Cinnamon Because cinnamon helps bring down swelling and has antioxidants, it is great for easing the pain from arthritis. Take a cup of warm water and mix in a ½ teaspoon of cinnamon powder and one tablespoon of honey. Drink this mixture every morning on an empty stomach. Do this every day for a few days in a row. You can also make cinnamon and honey into a paste and massage it gently on the painful area. Fish Oil Fish oil has omega-3 fatty acids that help stop swelling in the body and ease pain. Eat one to two teaspoons of fish oil every day. Taking fish oil supplements in the morning when your stomach is empty will help ease morning stiffness. Together with supplements, you should eat cold-water fish and other natural foods like flax seeds that have a lot of omega-3 fatty acids. Alfalfa Alfalfa can also help people with arthritis, because it is full of minerals and helps even out acid levels in the body. You can make a healthy cup of tea using alfalfa seeds. Add ½ or one teaspoon of alfalfa seeds to a cup of boiling water. Let it boil for 20 to 30 minutes with a cover on and then drain it. I do still eat a few things on this list, but I eat them in moderation. -Changing your diet doesn’t mean you are restricting yourself or your life. -These changes are attitude based, Gets you out of your comfort zone, and might even enjoy the change physically and emotionally 1.“ Nightshade” Vegetables: -Solanaceae: Pronounced (So·la·na·ce·ae) -Believed to trigger inflammation -Has not been proven (I eat them with no problem) -Try not to eat too many tomatoes high in sodium (which can cause problems) *Veggies: Tomatoes, eggplant, potatoes, goji berries, peppers, tobacco, tomatillo 2. Processed/refined Foods : -Any food that comes in a can or a box -Higher in fat, sugar, and salt -Fresh foods are not only healthier they taste better *Processed Foods: White bread, pasta, rice, canned foods, boxed food (i.e. mac n cheese, HamberHelpers, etc.) 3. Water -Water flushes out toxins including excess uric acid from the body. Have at least 10- 12 glasses of water daily. Cherries -Cherries have anti - inflammatory substances named anthocyanis that help reduce uric acid levels .It prevents the uric acid from crystallizing and being deposited in the joints. Cherries also neutralize the acids and help prevent inflammation and pain. 200 gms per day is very effective in bringing down uric acid . Berries-Berries especially strawberries, and blueberries have anti-inflammatory properties so include them in your diet. Apple -Malic acid in apple neutralizes uric acid and thus provides relief to the sufferers. You should consume one apple daily after a meal. Lime -The citric acid found in lime is a solvent of the uric acid .The juice of half a lime squeezed into a glass of water should be taken twice daily. And during dinner, the patient should consume Sprouts, such as alfalfa or beans, a good-sized salad of raw vegetables, such as carrots, cabbage, tomatoes, whole wheat bread and butter. Do this 10 day diet to relieve yourself from any symptoms or problems of gout, in a natural healthy manner. Also note that during this treatment, the patient should refrain from all forms of purine and uric acid producing foods, such as all meats, eggs, and fish. Glandular meats are especially harmful. The patient must also avoid liquor, tea, coffee, sugar, white flour and its products, and all canned and processed foods. Spices and salts should be used as little as possible. 5 Effective And Simple Home Remedies for Heel Spurs Before you purchase any heel pain or plantar fasciitis treatment,You can try my natural remedies once. These home remedies are proven to be a great way to relieve pain from home. 1. Baking Soda. Baking soda is another good home remedy for heel spurs. Mix 1 teaspoon of baking soda and 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in a glass of warm water. Drink it once daily for 2 weeks to balance the pH in the body. 2. Turmeric. Turmeric has curcumin that works as a potent painkiller and anti-inflammatory agent. You can take 500 to 1,000 mg of curcumin 3 times a day for about 6 weeks. Consult a doctor before beginning a supplement regimen. 3. Alfalfa. Add ½ to 1 teaspoon of alfalfa seeds to a cup of boiling water. Cover and let it simmer for 20 to 30 minutes. Strain, then add a little honey. Drink this tea 3 or 4 times daily until the pain and inflammation is gone. Then drink 1 to 2 cups of alfalfa tea daily to keep the symptoms at bay. 4. Epsom Salt. Pour epsom salt (2-3 tablespoons) in warm water. Dip painful areas affected by heel spurs in the mixture for about 15 minutes. You can massage these areas a bit. This remedy should be applied before you go to bed and on the daily basis for months. 5. Cabbage Leaves. Cabbage leaves should be warmed up a bit to be softer. However, do not break them. Use the leaves to cover areas affected by heel spurs. A bandage can be used to keep them there. When you notice them dry, repeat the method again.
