So I have to inject insulin to regulate my blood sugar and check my levels by using a glucometer. This means I have to stick my finger with a needle anywhere from 5 to 10 times a day. Dexcom provided me with a review unit of its new G6 continuous glucose monitor that's approved by the FDA to require no blood at all. CGMs allow diabetics to see their blood sugar throughout the day and night with a sensor that is inserted under the skin. Previously, CGMs needed a blood glucose reading in order to calibrate the device. The new Dexcom G6 comes factory-calibrated and requires no finger stick. I've been wearing the device for nine days and I am really impressed with it.

Treatment of diabetes at home quickly and efficiently click website : http://5d8c9fo5wm1v9l9ln0v-27gv15.hop.clickbank.net/ Diabetes means your blood glucose, or blood sugar, levels are too high. If you can't control your diabetes with wise food choices and physical activity, you may need diabetes medicines. The kind of medicine you take depends on your type of diabetes, your schedule, and your other health conditions. With type 1 diabetes, your pancreas does not make insulin. Insulin is a hormone that helps glucose get into your cells to give them energy. Without insulin, too much glucose stays in your blood. If you have type 1 diabetes, you will need to take insulin. Type 2 diabetes, the most common type, can start when the body doesn't use insulin as it should. If your body can't keep up with the need for insulin, you may need to take pills. Along with meal planning and physical activity, diabetes pills help people with type 2 diabetes or gestational diabetes keep their blood glucose levels on target. Several kinds of pills are available. Each works in a different way. Many people take two or three kinds of pills. Some people take combination pills. Combination pills contain two kinds of diabetes medicine in one tablet. Some people take pills and insulin.Everyone with diabetes should test their blood sugar (glucose) levels regularly. Knowing the results lets you tweak your strategy for keeping the disease in check, as needed. Regular testing can also help you avoid getting long-term health problems that can stem from the condition. Research shows that in people with either type 1 or type 2 diabetes, sticking to your target blood sugar and HbA1c levels makes complications less likely. banana girl diet consciousness cure diabetes diabetes camp diabetes excercises diabetes recipes diabetes retreat diabetes treatment diabetic durianrider ems emt excercise for diabetes excercise for diabetics fitness freelee fullyraw health high-carb vegan ketoacidosis medical meditation mindful diabetic robby nurse paramedic plant-based diet retreat retreat (spiritual) retreats reverse diabetes reverse diabetes naturally student type 1 diabetes type 1 diabetes diet type 1 diabetes weight loss type 2 diabetes type 2 diabetes diet vegan vegan diet weight loss weight loss for diabetics yoga treatment of diabetes at home quickly and efficiently click : http://5d8c9fo5wm1v9l9ln0v-27gv15.hop.clickbank.net/

Type 2 Diabetes | Taking Metformin? | Ask Your Doctor for This Test!

Type 2 Diabetes | Taking Metformin? | Ask Your Doctor for This Test! Metformin is the preferred drug that doctors tend to prescribe to patients with type 2 diabetes. it's been in regular use in the UK, Canada and the America since 1958, 1972 and 1995, respectively. It is also widely used across the world. Metformin performs two main functions namely to; sensitise the cells in order to make them more receptive to insulin. And it helps to reduce the amount of sugar that is circulating in the blood. However, research studies have shown that approximately 30% of patients who use Metformin experience deficiencies in the B12 Vitamin. This was evidenced by the Joslin Diabetes Center, Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital and the National Nutrition and Health Examination Survey. Watch this week's episode of Type 2 Makeover to find out why this vitamin is critical to the healthy functioning of your body. Plus you'll discover the food sources that contain B12. And the sypmtoms you can look out for that may suggest that you have this deficiency. Lastly, you'll hear about the main theory about why Metformin impedes the effectiveness of the B12 Vitamin. Question of the Day - Were you aware of the impact that Metformin can have on how B12 functions in the body? Put your answers in the comment box below. Diabetes Foods to Avoid - Dangerous Foods for Diabetic Patients

08:17
Hi Friends, Watch More Top Five Health Care Videos Click here: https://goo.gl/UnZvu8 Today I am Going To Show You , Watch►Diabetes Foods to Avoid - Dangerous Foods for Diabetic Patients Diabetes Must Avoid These Fruit Types 1. Dried Fruit Fruit is a great source of several important vitamins and minerals, including vitamin C and potassium, which helps diabetes patients to control blood sugar naturally. But when fruit is dried, the process results in a loss of water that leads to even higher concentrations of these nutrients. Unfortunately, its sugar content becomes more concentrated as well. For example: One cup of grapes contains 27 grams of carbs, including 1 gram of fiber. By contrast, one cup of raisins contains 115 grams of carbs, 5 of which come from fiber. Therefore, raisins contain more than three times as many carbs as grapes do. Other types of dried fruit are also similarly higher in carbs when compared to fresh fruit. Dried fruits become more concentrated in sugar and may contain more than three times as many carbs as fresh fruits do. Avoid dried fruit and choose fruits low in sugar for optimal blood sugar control. If you have diabetes, you don't have to give up fruit altogether. Sticking with low-sugar fruits like fresh berries or a small apple can provide health benefits while keeping your blood sugar in normal range. 2. Fruit Juices: Although fruit juice is often considered a healthy beverage, its effects on blood sugar are actually similar to those of sodas and other sugary drinks. This goes for unsweetened 100% fruit juice, as well as types that contain added sugar. In some cases, fruit juice is even higher in sugar and carbs than soda. For example: 250 ml of unsweetened apple juice and soda contain 24 grams of sugar each. An equivalent serving of grape juice provides 32 grams of sugar. Like sugar-sweetened beverages, fruit juice is loaded with glucose, the type of sugar that drives insulin resistance, promote weight gain and increase the risk of heart disease A much better alternative is to enjoy water with a wedge of lemon, which provides less than 1 gram of carbs and is virtually calorie-free too. Diabetes and ED - a natural treatment for diabetes and erectile dysfunction (impotence)

06:20
Diabetes and ED - a natural treatment for diabetes and erectile dysfunction (impotence) Free report - Website - http://healthyat60plus.com/erectiledysfunction Questions - call me at 609-410-4790 Diabetes can be reversed naturally. And so can its effects on your body. One of the most obvious effects is ED. Erectile dysfunction is a direct cause of diabetes attack on the endothelium. Today we're going address the issue of Diabetes and ED. Why? Because high blood sugar directly damages a tissue called the endothelium, which lines all of your cardiovascular system. As this endothelium is damaged, its ability to produce a gas called nitric oxide is greatly diminished. If you've watched our main video on our web page www.healthyat60plus.com/erectiledysfunction then you know how important nitric oxide is for an erection. While nitric oxide researchers like to joke No NO no sex! (with that second NO referring to nitric oxide) it's no joke to the man whose suffering from diabetes and ED. According to Nobel Laureate in Medicine Dr. Louis J. Ignarro, he makes the following statement on page 11 of his bestselling book NO More Heart Disease: “By 1990, our experiments indicated that NO is also the chemical messenger responsible for penile erections. Nerves in the erectile tissues release NO, dilating the blood vessels and initiating erections.” So what does this have to do with diabetes and ED? Well before we answer this question let's to go back to a previous image. As you can clearly see the aging process results in a significant decrease in nitric oxide production. By the time most people reach the age of 60 their nitric oxide levels have decreased by as much as 85% due to damage done to the lining of the vascular system. This lining is called the endothelium. High blood sugar directly damages the endothelium to accelerate this process. And it's this cumulative damage over time that contributes to the reduced production of nitric oxide contributing to diabetic complications like high blood pressure and erectile dysfunction. Why does this matter? Because nitric oxide acts as a signaling molecule causing Vascular dilation. As Dr. Ignarro stated “Nerves in the erectile tissues release NO, dilating the blood vessels and initiating erections.” Nitric oxide causes the smooth muscles of your vascular system to relax resulting in improved blood flow. By learning how to naturally nourish your endothelium, to boost its production of nitric oxide, you can optimize three beneficial outcomes: First, nitric oxide directly relaxes the smooth muscle of the vascular wall helping to bring blood pressure back into a normal range. This is critically importance for those with diabetes since 67% of all diabetics have high blood pressure. High blood pressure is the number one risk factor for strokes and heart attacks. Nitric oxide helps to naturally bring your blood pressure back into a normal range. Additionally, nitric oxide keeps blood platelet cells from sticking together so this, combined with lower blood pressure, helps to significantly reduce your risk for a stroke or heart attack. Second, at high enough levels over a long enough period of time, nitric oxide can initiate reparative mechanisms that heal the damage done to the endothelium. This helps to reverse calcification (arteriosclerosis) and plaque formations (atherosclerosis) in the vascular system resulting in improved blood flow. Additionally this healing process returns more of your damaged endothelium, caused by high blood sugar levels, back into a functioning tissue resulting in even more nitric oxide production. This has helped a large number of men see improvements in both their blood pressure and sexual health. Third, as nitric oxide production increases there is usually an improvement in blood flow. This helps to bring blood sugar levels back into a normal range, which allows diabetics to work with their physician to reduce the medications they use to control their blood sugar. ------------------------------------------------------------- Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/pages/Healthy-at-60-Plus/1483227541991163 Website - http://healthyat60plus.com/erectiledysfunction Channel - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLOXU3yAse1ZJOrh-3PxTxEwVt-U_76gZT

How to Stick to Diabetic Diet Guidelines

01:56
http://HealthyBalancedDiet.org/ Guidelines towards making a diabetic diet are essential towards making sure that the diet you are going for is beneficial and not harmful to your current health condition. Some people find it really hard to stick to these guidelines because they require a person to make necessary changes to his/her lifestyle, eating habits and lots more. In order to overcome these, here a few tips on how to make a diabetic guideline much easier to follow and maintain: ● Using all your senses. One of the main reasons why people end up sick is because of having wrong reasons on why they indulge to eating too much. When we eat, our sense of taste is what's being pampered but if we try to pamper our other senses such as sound, smell, sight and touch, we may divert our attention to other things such as filing your home with scented candles, getting a massage, listening to your favorite music, and lots more. This way, when you're stressed out or depressed, instead of eating you are diverted to doing other stuff. ● Get enough rest and sleep. When we feel tired, our bodies tend to crave for sugar and other quick energy snacks. We may unconsciously be eating too much causing rise and fall of blood sugar levels and even causing mood swings. But you can avoid this by going to bed on time or if you're really tired throughout the day, take a short nap. ● Make meals enjoyable by eating with other people. When we eat with other people, we not only dine for the food but our attention is placed on the social company we have. This leads to more talks, less eating. This could really be a great support to ensure that you are sticking to your diabetic diet.

New patch offers new way to measure blood sugar levels without sticking your finger

01:11
CINCINNATI (WKRC) - People with diabetes may soon have a new way to measure blood sugar levels without having to do “finger sticks”. Usually “finger sticks” are done to test how high or low sugar is in the blood so you can know how to adjust insulin or medication. Researchers at the University of Bath have come up with something that might eliminate the need for all those finger-sticks. It's a patch. The patch doesn't pierce the skin, instead, it draws glucose out from fluid between cells across hair follicles. According to researchers, the fluid then is individually assessed by an array of miniature sensors using a small electrical current. The glucose, or sugar, collects in tiny reservoirs and is measured. Early studies show it works accurately in those who are healthy and don't have diabetes. Apparently, it will take readings every ten to fifteen minutes, over several hours. Inventors say that it does not require calibration because of the design of the sensors. Researchers say they need to now refine the design for 24-hour wear and continue clinical trials. There is no word yet on how soon the patch will be available on the market.

Reverse Diabetes

01:01
Type 2 Diabetes is a very serious and dangerous thing, now being over 1 year free from it I decide to be a voice for helping others. . . Diabetes is a disease chronic condition that affects the way the body processes sugar in the blood. Basically it happens when your sugar levels go very high and you pancreas is not producing the Insulin to help bring it down. . . At this point you need to be put on a medically synthesized version of Insulin and need to inject yourself at different levels throughout the day. Along with monitoring your blood sugar a few times daily you can control this disease. But like I learned, you can also reverse Type 2 Diabetes! . . I am now free from sticking myself with a needle, free from taking my sugar 4 times a day (which sometimes it hurt). I decided to help other people reverse Diabetes through diet and exercise, through eating right you can change and not be stuck with this for life.

Metformin

17:48
The inexpensive drug generically available as metformin remains the first choice for type 2 diabetics in whom diet and exercise fail to work. Not only does it dramatically improve blood sugar levels and hemoglobin A1c, but unlike other diabetes drugs, its use may lead to weight loss and is rarely associated with hypoglycemia. When necessary it may be combined with additional anti-diabetes medicines. Additionally preliminary reports suggest metformin may act to prevent a variety of tumors and even increase survival in colon cancer.

Diabetes: It is a metabolic disorder in which the person has high blood glucose level because of insulin production is inadequate or the body cell do not respond to insulin. Diabetes is long-term condition. Insulin: • Insulin is produced by beta cells of the pancreas. • Insulin regulates the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats, and protein. • It promotes absorption of glucose from the blood into fat, liver and skeletal muscle cells which converted into glycogen. Sign and Symptoms of Diabetes | Types of Diabetes

Sign and Symptoms of Diabetes | Types of Diabetes published on 27/06/2018 Diabetes is a disease in which your blood glucose, or blood sugar, levels are too high. Glucose comes from the foods you eat. Insulin is a hormone that helps the glucose get into your cells to give them energy. With type 1 diabetes, your body does not make insulin. With type 2 diabetes, the more common type, your body does not make or use insulin well. Without enough insulin, the glucose stays in your blood. You can also have prediabetes. This means that your blood sugar is higher than normal but not high enough to be called diabetes. Having prediabetes puts you at a higher risk of getting type 2 diabetes. Over time, having too much glucose in your blood can cause serious problems. It can damage your eyes, kidneys, and nerves. Diabetes can also cause heart disease, stroke and even the need to remove a limb. Pregnant women can also get diabetes, called gestational diabetes. Blood tests can show if you have diabetes. One type of test, the A1C, can also check on how you are managing your diabetes. Exercise, weight control and sticking to your meal plan can help control your diabetes. You should also monitor your blood glucose level and take medicine if prescribed. for more information https://www.medicinenet.com/diabetes_mellitus/article.htm . https://www.diabetesaustralia.com.au/ . https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/info/diabetes Sign and Symptoms of Diabetes | Types of Diabetes ******************************************************************** Subcribe to our channel to get daily updates: https://www.youtube.com/c/everytimehealth Like our Facebook page: https://web.facebook.com/everytimehealth/ Follow us on Google Plus: https://plus.google.com/+EverytimeHealth Follow us on Twitter: https://twitter.com/everytimehealth Share this video: https://youtu.be/131Q643pdJo Sign and Symptoms of Diabetes | Types of Diabetes

And while modern medicine is failing miserably, this new approach is achieving 100% success in getting patients completely OFF diabetes meds and related drugs — and back to a healthy, normal life. This groundbreaking book, Reverse Diabetes Today, is the first scientifically proven system for reversing Type 2 diabetes and prediabetes, while showing people with Type 1 how to dramatically reduce or even eliminate their insulin dose. And chances are, you won't hear or read about this system anywhere else, because it isn't in the interest of pharmaceutical companies or medical professionals to inform you. “Why?” You might ask. • If everybody knew about it, pharmaceutical companies couldn't sell their life-long maintenance drugs anymore. • Pharmaceutical companies and medical professionals would lose millions of dollars in profits. And their behind-the-scenes manipulation of "the diabetes crisis" is a sinister plot (you'll learn all about it). • It is terrifying for pharmaceutical companies to realize that this natural discovery, without the use of medicine, is helping people cure their Diabetes completely. How is that possible, you ask? “I thought Diabetes couldn’t be cured?” You’re right. At least, partially. With traditional medicine, Diabetes can never be cured. Traditional medicine “fights” Diabetes through drugs that treat the symptoms of the disease, but never deals with the root cause of the problem. In fact, doctors acknowledge they have no idea WHAT causes Diabetes, they don't know how to cure it — but here is a prescription for some drugs anyway. (sound familiar?) Does that make sense to you? Why would you take drugs if doctors don't know what Diabetes is, what caused it, or how to cure it? Yet, people do just that for every physical condition, such as Cancer, Multiple Sclerosis, Cholesterol, Arthritis, Heart Disease, And… Diabetes. In the West, we have a high incidence of these diseases that practically don’t exist in “undeveloped” parts of the world. This has been known for a long time, and for years, top leading microbiologists and medical scientists have searched for an answer. Well they finally discovered the answer. They discovered that it is our modern lifestyle that is actively causing these diseases. The body is designed to heal itself — provided it has what it needs to do its job. And your diet is one of the major influences on your Diabetes condition. You've probably heard the old adage, "We are what we eat." This statement seems to be closer to the truth when it comes to diabetics, than many people would imagine. How can our diet have such a big impact on our body? I’ll explain with a metaphor. Picture your body as a car, that was designed to function on all-natural, organic, fuel. The car is a living, breathing machine not unlike the human body. For 2 million years, this car has been using fuel such as: water / seeds / nuts / grasses / herbs / roots / fruits / vegetables / cereals. THAT'S the fuel it is used to. MOREOVER, THAT'S the fuel its entire system is based upon. It was MADE from that stuff. What are the Best Tips for Reversing Diabetes?

02:18
http://diabetes.blogstips.org/ What are the Best Tips for Reversing Diabetes? Reversing diabetes requires completely altering one's diet and exercise habits. an unhealthy diet and sedentary lifestyle are two of the leading causes of type 2 diabetes, and these are also the two that are easiest to control. Dr. Sarah Hallberg is the Medical Director of the Medically Supervised Weight Loss Program at IU Health Arnett. Reversing diabetes will require cutting sugars and simple carbohydrates out of the diet as much as possible, developing a regular exercise routine and sticking to it, and losing weight. Redesigning the diet is one of the best tips for reversing diabetes. Sugary foods such as cookies, candy, or ice cream, among others, as well as simple carbohydrates found in foods made with white flour such as bread and pasta, all force the body to continuously produce a great deal of insulin. This also causes blood sugar levels to remain elevated throughout the body. This combination is what frequently leads to diabetes. People who are working on reversing diabetes will need to cut back on sugar and simple carbohydrates as much as possible. Instead, the diet should be made up of foods that take a while to digest, preventing spikes in blood sugar. This includes whole grains, such as whole grain pasta or bread, as well as a great deal of vegetables and lean protein. Fruit should be included in the diet, but should be chosen carefully, as some fruits can cause blood sugar spikes as well. Exercise is the other most important factor in reversing diabetes. It is important to start slowly, based on existing levels of physical fitness. Walking, for example, is an excellent way to start a new exercise routine; some people may only be able to complete a few minutes per day, but over time, gradually increasing the time spent exercising to 30 to 45 minutes per day will help to encourage weight loss and reverse symptoms of diabetes. Others find that low-impact exercise such as swimming is another good way to lose weight and begin getting in shape. A blood test can show if you have diabetes. Exercise, weight control and sticking to your meal plan can help control your diabetes. You should also monitor your glucose level and take medicine if prescribed. Type 1 diabetes is nowhere near as general as type 2 diabetes. Approximately 10% of all diabetes matter are type 1. 2) Type 2 diabetes The body does not produce enough insulin for reasonable function, or the cells in the body do not react to insulin (insulin resistance). Some people may be able to repression their type 2 diabetes characteristics by losing weight, following a healthy diet, doing plenty of exercise, and monitoring their blood glucose levels. However, type 2 diabetes is typically a progressive disease - it gradually gets worse - and the patient will probably end up have to take insulin, usually in tablet form. Best cure to Diabetes

Metformin and longevity

03:13
Metformin has been known to increase the lifespan of roundworms, and more recently mice. A diabetes trial in England, the UKPDS looked at diabetics and cardiovascular events related to how well their diabetes was controlled. It was noticed that those treated with metformin had less events and lived longer than those not treated with metformin. The FDA just approved the first human trials looking at metformin and longevity. There are several proposed mechanisms. One is that it is a diabetes drug, however no other diabetes drug has shown benefits. It lowers insulin levels and insulin and IGF (Insulin like growth factor) may cause inflammation or turn on cancer cells (gene expression). Another btheory is that it effects oxidative stress in the cells, also increasing gene expression of cancer or aging cells. Normally we tke about antioxidants as being healthy, this may be a controlled form of oxidative stress with a beneficial effect. If true, then taking antioxidaants may counteract the effect. Metformin is a safe drug, inexpensive and may have multiple beneficial effects, in both the diabetic, and non diabetic. It is extremely early in this investigation, and I cannot recommend it just yet in non diabetics. However, if you are a pre-diabetic, or diabetic, you should have a conversation with your doctor if you are not on it already.

Uncontrolled and on Insulin

06:36
Uncontrolled and on Insulin 3 Tips to Gain Control. If you take insulin for type 2 diabetes, chances are you’ve already tried lifestyle changes like diet and exercise. You’ve likely also already taken an oral medication like metformin (such as Glumetza or Glucophage). Insulin may be the next step your doctor will recommend to get your diabetes under control. Taking daily insulin is a supplement to the hormone either your pancreas doesn’t make enough of or your body doesn’t use efficiently. But what if even insulin shots don’t bring your blood sugar within range? If you’ve been on insulin for a while and it doesn’t seem to be working, it’s time to see your doctor again to reevaluate your treatment plan. Here are three recommendations your doctor might make to help you gain better control over your blood sugar levels. Step 1: Increase your insulin dose: The dose of insulin your doctor initially prescribed might not be high enough to control your blood sugar. This is especially true if you’re overweight, because excess fat makes your body more resistant to the effects of insulin. You may need to take extra injections of short- or rapid-acting insulin each day to get your blood sugar within range. Your doctor may also change the type of insulin you take. For example, you might add a dose of fast-acting insulin before meals to adjust for blood sugar swings after you eat, or add long-acting insulin to control your blood sugar between meals and overnight. Switching to an insulin pump, which delivers insulin continuously throughout the day, can help keep your blood sugar steady with less work on your part. However, this is mostly used by those with type 1 diabetes. To make sure your new insulin dosage is keeping your blood sugar in the right range, you may need to test your levels two to four times a day when you’re adjusting your dose. You’ll typically test while fasting, and before and a few hours after meals. Write down your readings in a journal, or keep track of them using an app like mySugr or Glucose Buddy. Let your doctor know if you develop low blood sugar. You might have overcompensated by taking too much insulin, and you’ll probably need to lower the dose slightly. Taking more insulin can help you achieve better blood sugar control. Yet it can have downsides too. For one thing, you might gain weight, which is counterproductive to diabetes control. Having to give yourself more injections each day can also make you less likely to stick with your treatment. If you’re having any side effects or you have trouble sticking to your treatment plan, ask your doctor or a diabetes educator for advice. Step 2: Reevaluate your diet and exercise program: The same healthy diet and exercise programs you started when you were first diagnosed with diabetes are worth revisiting now — especially if you’ve let them lapse. The diabetes diet isn’t all that different from a normal healthy diet. It’s high in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean protein, and low in processed, fried, salty, and sweet foods. Your doctor might also suggest that you count carbs so you know how much insulin to take. If you’re having trouble sticking to a diet, a dietitian or diabetes educator can recommend a plan that suits both your taste preferences and your blood sugar goals. Exercise is the other critical part of blood sugar control. Walking, bike riding, and other physical activities help lower your blood sugar directly, and indirectly by promoting weight loss. Experts recommend that you get at least 30 minutes of aerobic exercise on five or more days a week. If you’re overweight, you might need to increase it to 60 minutes a day. Ask your doctor how to balance your insulin doses with exercise so your blood sugar doesn’t dip too low during workouts. Why is Meat a Risk Factor for Diabetes?

Potential culprits include the trans fat in meat, the saturated fat, cholesterol, heme iron, advanced glycation end products (glycotoxins), animal protein (especially leucine), zoonotic viruses, and industrial pollutants that accumulate up the food chain.
