Menopause Prevention

06:26
Menopause Prevention. Manage symptoms and avoid complications. Menopause is a natural part of a woman’s life cycle. You can’t prevent menopause, but you can manage many common symptoms and prevent possible complications. It’s essential to make healthy lifestyle choices. For example: *eat a healthy diet. *exercise regularly. *get enough sleep. *maintain your bone strength. *manage your blood pressure. Eat a healthful diet. Eating a well-balanced diet and maintaining a healthy weight is key to lowering your risk of heart disease, diabetes, and other chronic health conditions. You may find it takes more effort to maintain a healthy weight when you go through menopause. During this period of your life, your levels of estrogen drop significantly. This may make you vulnerable to weight gain, especially in your midsection. Increased belly fat is associated with increased risks of heart disease and other life-threatening diseases. To help prevent weight gain, pay attention to hunger cues. Only eat when you feel physically hungry and choose healthy foods. For example, enjoy a wide variety of fruits and vegetables, choose whole-grain options over refined, and opt for lean sources of protein. Limit saturated fats and trans fats, added sugars, and sodium in your diet. On top of helping you maintain a healthy weight, avoiding processed and sugar-rich foods may help you reduce mood swings and maintain stable blood glucose levels. Your doctor may also recommend taking certain vitamin or mineral supplements, if you’re not getting enough of those nutrients already. For example, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) advises adults between the ages of 19 and 70 to get 600 international units (IUs) of vitamin D per day. The NIH also encourages adult women up to the age of 50 to get 1,000 mg of calcium per day and women between the ages of 51 and 70 to get 1,200 mg of calcium daily. Ask your doctor if supplements may be a good choice for you. Exercise regularly. Getting regular physical activity is important at any age, but it may offer extra perks during menopause. It can help you relieve hot flashes, regulate your mood, and manage your weight. For most healthy adults up to the age of 65, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends getting at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic activity each week. The CDC also recommends doing at least two strength training sessions per week. Strength training exercises, such as lifting weights or yoga, can help increase your bone strength. This can help prevent the loss of bone density that often accompanies menopause. Get enough sleep. Altered sleep patterns are a common symptom of menopause. Changes in your hormone levels can also leave you more fatigued than usual. That’s why it’s so important to practice good sleep habits so you can get enough high-quality sleep at night. The CDC encourages adults to get 7 to 8 hours of sleep each night. Exercising during the day, avoiding caffeine in the evening, and following a regular sleep schedule may help you fall and stay asleep more easily. Practicing relaxation strategies, such as deep breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, or meditation, may also help. Ideal Vitamins for Menopause

02:10
http://www.healthybalanceddiet.org Ideal Vitamins for Menopause • Vitamin C Vitamin C helps in ensuring that the skin stays firm and not saggy because the skin may lose some of its elasticity during menopause. Vitamin C also helps in preventing or at least minimizes the occurrence of vaginal dryness as well as other symptoms such as hot flashes. • Vitamin E There is still not enough scientific basis to support that taking in 800 IU of vitamin E a day can help in minimizing hot flashes during menopause. Health experts are also reminding women that taking in more than 400 IU of vitamin E daily could be unsafe. • Calcium It is recommended that they take in at least 1,200 mg of calcium each day to avoid bone breakdown. Doctors highly advise calcium citrate as it is easily absorbed by women who are aging along with 400 mg of vitamin D for calcium absorption. • Vitamin B6 and B3 Vitamin B6 contains antioxidants that are helpful in relieving some of the menopausal symptoms. However, it should never be taken along with vitamin E. B vitamins are needed for a healthy nervous system but taking in more than 300 mg of vitamin B6 in a day can put them at risk of nerve damage. The recommended dose for vitamin B3 is 50 to 100 mg daily. • Multiple Vitamins Menopausal women are also recommended to take in multiple vitamins and minerals such as vitamins E, C and B vitamins. Magnesium should also be included as it helps in managing mood swings, irritability and anxiety. Before you start using vitamins, especially if you plan taking them together, be sure to consult your physician to ensure that there is no contraindication in taking several vitamins altogether. Home Remedies for Hot Flashes - 5 Amazing Ways To Deal With Hot Flashes Naturally

05:43
Home Remedies for Hot Flashes - 5 Amazing Ways To Deal With Hot Flashes Naturally home remedies for hot flashes hot flashes natural remedies for hot flashes hot flashes treatment There are still some finer parts of hot flashes that remain a mystery to the public despite the extensive research conducted to unravel its many secrets. According to some people, you experience hot flashes because of sudden changes in the thermoregulatory systems of the body. The most common culprit is fluctuations in the estrogen levels among women that may eventually manifest in physical symptoms. It is the reason why hot flashes are common among people who’ve had chemotherapy or a total hysterectomy. It is not that big of a problem once a woman hits menopause. The frequency and intensity of hot flashes gradually die down once your estrogen levels even out no matter how low it may be. So, it is actually during the transition period that hot flashes are at its worst. From high estrogen levels to low among post-menopausal women. If you don’t want to suffer from frequent hot flashes, here’s what you should do: 1. Avoid caffeine You are prone to hot flashes when your sympathetic nervous system is stimulated. Think of your body’s fight-or-flight response during emergencies and that’s your sympathetic nervous system at work. There have been studies confirming high frequencies of hot flashes when you consume too much caffeine. So, try to avoid drinking anything caffeinated such as coffee or tea and drink herbal teas instead. You can try an iced herbal tea to help yourself cool down. Contrary to popular beliefs, you may even feel higher energy levels once you’ve cut down on caffeine. 2. Maintain normal blood sugar levels Moderation is the key to everything you do. It is normal to feel imbalanced in a lot of aspects of your body and life once your hormones begin to fluctuate. Hence, it is more crucial than ever to imbibe a lifestyle that promotes a semblance of balance during this delicate period. Balancing your blood sugar levels play a huge role to make this happen. Change your diet and eat more proteins such as beans, beef, chicken, eggs, fish, nuts, and legumes. You should also try other sources of healthy fats like avocado, animal protein with natural fats in them, nuts and nut butter, and olive oil. They are also rich in fiber, which is important for a healthy digestion. Steer away from simple carbohydrates and sweets and increase intake of fat, fiber, and protein whenever you eat and you won’t experience any sudden shifts in your blood sugar levels. 3. Practice deep-breathing exercises Avoid triggering your sympathetic nervous system by doing deep-breathing exercises. Doing it for 15 minutes twice a day is enough to activate your diaphragm and prevent the occurrence of hot flashes. You can do it on your own by simply counting up to 5 in each breath you take while your belly softens and expands and then breathe out or try a breathing app that works the same way.It can help you relax and cool down if you do this twice daily in the morning and at night. It will keep your hot flashes at bay and keep you feeling sane and happy too. 4. Do yoga and exercise regularly Yoga and exercise are both good for one’s health. It raises your endorphin levels, relieves you of stress, and releases adrenaline. If you are approaching menopause, you won’t have to suffer from all its symptoms if you adopt an active lifestyle and do yoga or exercise regularly. Try doing it for at least 40 minutes daily and preferably in the morning. It won’t just take care of your hot flashes but help you sleep better at night too. And you have more to benefit from exercise that you’ll feel so much better in no time. 5. Try herbs When it comes to hot flashes, I like rhubarb extract and black cohosh the most. They work best against hot flashes as well as acupuncture. My acupuncturist said I can better overcome hot flashes if she can strengthen my yin and yang. It can cool down your body aside from helping you beat all the other discomforts brought about by perimenopause. It is also why I strongly encourage my clients to try acupuncture because life is still beautiful even with your hormones raging wild inside you. hot flashes in women herbal remedies for menopause how to stop hot flashes what causes hot flashes medication for hot flashes menopause symptoms signs of menopause hot flash relief menopause treatment perimenopause symptoms hot flash remedies natural remedies for menopause menopause supplements hormone replacement therapy menopause age what is menopause menopause relief pre menopause symptoms herbs for hot flashes menopause medication

Is it Safe for Menopausal Women with Adrenal Fatigue to do Keto and Intermittent Fasting

Take Dr. Berg's Free Keto Mini-Course: http://pxlme.me/-i717vtY or go here: https://www.drberg.com/how-to-do-ketosis Download Keto Essentials https://m.me/drericberg?ref=w2128577 Dr. Berg talks about if is it safe for menopausal women with adrenal fatigue to do ketosis and intermittent fasting. The answer is YES. The adrenals are normally supposed to help counter a drop in blood sugar and when you do intermittent fasting with adrenal issues, you could have a hard time because of the drop in blood sugars. The hormone called cortisol is what is called a glucocorticoid, which is a glucose regulating hormone. So the adrenals are definitely connected to blood sugars. Cortisol if too high can mobilize more sugar and even turn your body protein into sugar thus raising your insulin and even causes insulin resistance or diabetes. So in other words, if your cortisol is high, chances are you could also have high insulin. This means you need to do things to lower insulin – ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting! Here are some tips: 1. Take electrolytes to increase potassium and other minerals 2. B vitamins (nutritional yeast) 3. Sea salt - the adrenals need more sodium, because they lose more. 4. Trace minerals, esp, chromium and zinc. 5. More protein 6. Omega 3 (Krill is great) 7. Take long walks 8. Go slow - go at this gradually and eventually you'll be in full keto adaptation and no longer running only on glucose (avoid the blood sugar swings). Hi guys, in this video we are going to talk about is it safe for a menopausal women with adrenal fatigue to do ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting. There are some confusion about this things are floating out there that says it is dangerous and don’t do ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting if your adrenals are stressed especially if you are going through menopause but it is the exact thing that you need to do but you need to do it correctly. The problem is that when you get into your 40’s to 60’s, the adrenal gland takes over and backs up the ovary so you actually put more stress on the adrenal gland so what happens it has a hard time countering this drop in blood sugar as you go longer between three meals when you do intermittent fasting. The blood sugars are not able to rebound like you should so you feel dizzy and weak and all of the sudden you eat and feel better and then you think that you would need to eat more frequently, No. It just means that we need to strengthen the adrenals and tweaks some things because here is the main issue, with adrenal fatigue you are going to have higher levels of cortisol. Cortisol, another name for cortisol is called glucocorticoid – that is a glucose releasing hormones. When cortisol is high, you are going to release more glucose which is more sugar and increase more insulin. Adrenal problems in general have higher problems in insulin and we are trying to fix that because the insulin is going to create the insulin resistance and keep people from losing weight. So if you are trying to lose weight and you are menopausal and stuck, you need to do ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting but you want to do it more gradually. DR. ► Any Woman Over 40 Should Be Using This Essential Oil Every day After the 40th year, women experience changes in several aspects, emotional, physical, and psychological. Aging reduces memory, increases stress, and causes hot flashes. Women used clary sage for numerous years to relieve the unpleasant symptoms of menopause, so we reveal several benefits of clary sage oil and ways to use it. 1. Prevents Infection. According to the findings of a 2015 study, the topical use of this essential oil treats wounds and fights skin infections, as it has powerful antiseptic and antimicrobial properties. Yet, remember not to use it on open wounds, and apply 5 drops only. 2. Balances Hormones. It contains dietary estrogens from plants, which are beneficial natural phytoestrogens which regulate the estrogen levels and support uterus health. Since aging raises the risk of cancer, the health of the uterus should be at highest levels to reduce the risk of uterine and ovarian cancer. High estrogen levels lead to multiple health issues like estrogen-based cancers, infertility, and polycystic ovaries. The use of this oil will optimize the estrogen levels. One 2004 study found that this oil is a potent natural remedy for depression, as it reduces the cortisol levels by up to 36%. Inhale the clary sage from the bottle to improve your mood and balance your hormones 3. Improves Circulation. Clary sage speeds up the metabolism as it carries more oxygen to the muscles and important body organs. It also lowers blood pressure and thus relaxes the brain and arteries. To prepare a homemade clary sage mist, mix 6 drops of clary sage, 3 drops of cinnamon, 6 drops of rose geranium, and 12 drops of mandarin, pour the mixture into a spray bottle, add water, and spray the mixture on the body. 4. Helps Digestion and regulates Cholesterol. Clary sage stimulates the secretion of gastric and bile juice, thus speeding up the metabolism and treating cramps, bloating, abdominal discomfort and indigestion. It also helps the absorption of minerals and minerals, and treats ulcers, constipation, and supports healthy bowel movements. Its strong anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties lower cholesterol and promote heart health. Just add 5 drops of it to a warm compress and apply it on the abdomen, while massaging gently. 5. Relieves Stress. Family issues, job problems, and all other everyday inconveniences lead to an increased stress levels in the forties. Yet, this essential oil enhances mental fortitude and confidence and prevents anxiety and fear. You should simply mix 6 drops of it and 2 drops of orange or frankincense oil. 6. Helps Sleep. It has potent sedative, hormone-balancing, and stress-reducing qualities, so clary sage treats insomnia and improves the sleep quality. To prepare your own clary sage balm, just mix 10 drops of it with ½ cup of coconut oil, 10 drops of lavender oil, ½ cup of olive oil, and ½ cup of beeswax in a double boiler. Stir well and after 10 minutes, pour it into a suitable container. 7. Improves Skin health. It is also high in linalyl acetate, which is a natural phytochemical which soothes dry skin, inflammation, and rashes, prevents acne, and regulate the production of oil in the skin. Use this oil to hydrate the skin and prevent wrinkles. You can also combine it with coconut or jojoba oil in equal amounts. 8. Soothes Menstrual Pain. Clary sage effectively soothes PMS symptoms, treats cramps, reduces food cravings, prevents mood swings, and treats bloating. It has an antispasmodic property and reduces the frequency of spasms and contractions in the uterus. It also alleviates headaches and stomach pain and calms the nerve impulses. According to a study conducted at the Oxford Brooks University, this essential oil in aromatherapy treats anxiety and fear and soothes physical pain during childbirth. Menopause Symptoms Hot Flashes and Flushing

01:24
* Hot Flashes Most women suffer from some form of hot flashes or flushing before, during and after #menopause. Hot flashes are a very common symptom that may wax and wane in severity and are likely due to hormonal and biochemical fluctuations caused by declining estrogen levels. Although the average length of time that women experience hot flashes is about 5 years, the extent and severity of symptoms is unique to each woman. While some women have minimal problems, others have symptoms that can last for an extended time period. * Lifestyle Habits Lifestyle habits such as smoking, poor #nutrition, less than ideal weight, lack of exercise and high stress levels may contribute to more severe symptoms. Likewise, healthy lifestyle habits including proper nutrition, regular exercise, not smoking and losing weight if needed, all contribute to overall #health and wellness. At this stage of life, women are more susceptible to developing other health conditions. Low estrogen levels can contribute to an increased risk of developing cardiovascular disease and osteoporosis. * Exercise Regular #exercise can strengthen your bones, help you to maintain proper weight and can elevate your mood. Smoking can trigger hot flashes and is a risk factor in the development of many serious health conditions including heart disease and osteoporosis. Reducing excess body fat supports more balanced estrogen and progesterone ratios. * Caffeine Decreasing your #caffeine and sugar intake may help to limit bone loss and support the liver’s ability to metabolize estrogen. Properly balanced microflora in the digestive tract aids in the metabolism and utilization of estrogen. Stress reduction helps to keep hormones and neurotransmitters in balance, which may help to limit hot flashes and stabilize mood. Studies show that up to 80% of #women may use non-prescription products, such as dietary herbal and nutritional supplements, to relieve menopausal symptoms. An important thing to remember is that menopause is a natural part of life with symptoms that can be managed. Gluten and Hormones Vitamins, minerals, and estrogen

08:25
http://www.glutenfreesociety.org/?p=5328 Gluten Sensitivity Hormones, and Vitamins Gluten is a known to disrupt a number of hormones, estrogen included. If you have been diagnosed with gluten sensitivity and you are having hormone related troubles keep reading. Often times woman are placed on prescription estrogens for birth control, for pre-menstrual symptoms (PMS), and for menopause symptoms (hot flashes...). Doctors will frequently prescribe estrogen pills without measuring for the presence of hormone dysfunction to treat the above symptoms. Unfortunately, there are a number of unintended nutritional side effects associated with taking estrogen... Removal of Gluten Often Times Resolves Hormone Imbalance I commonly see women in my clinic who are experiencing multiple hormone based problems. A large majority of these women report normalization of hormone related symptoms after discontinuing ingestion of gluten based foods. That is not to say that all hormone related diseases will spontaneously heal on a gluten free diet, but you should be aware that the connection is strong. The following diagram displays common reasons why women are prescribed estrogen based medications along with the nutritional deficiencies that estrogen has been shown to contribute to, and the side effects of these nutritional deficits... Do You Suspect A Hormone Imbalance? If you have abnormal cycles, excessive bloating, heavy carbohydrate cravings, headaches, swelling, heavy bleeding, and infertility issues, ensure that you do the following: Visit a functional medicine doctor to help you identify the underlying cause of the imbalance. Ask him/her to check your vitamin/mineral levels. Additionally, you might want to be checked for food allergies. Make sure that you get adequate sunshine -- sunlight helps to produce vitamin D and melatonin. Both of these hormones help regulate your endocrine system function. Get adequate sleep. Many of the hormones in our body are regulated through sleep. Remove and eliminate environmental estrogen exposure. Environmental estrogens are found in petroleum byproducts. These chemicals are commonly used to make plastics. This means do not eat, drink or store foods in plastic. Store food in glass. These chemicals are also found in the air and in water, so it is highly recommend that you filter your air and filter your water to remove as much as possible. Cosmetics and soy products are also sources of environmental estrogens. Eat organic foods. Many pesticides sprayed on foods are chemical estrogens. Eating organic will minimize your exposure to these chemicals. Exercise daily. The body depends on movement for adequate lymphatic flow and oxygen delivery. Additionally, daily exercise is critical for regulation of cortisol and epinephrine. https://www.glutenfreesociety.org/shop/ *These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. An Herb For Hot Flashes

04:00
An herb for hot flashes. Go to http://HotFlashesSweats.net to claim the free ebook "Make Menopause Easy". In it you'll learn how to make menopause easy with the right phytoestrogen herbs and estrogenic foods. The book features recommendations made by OB/GYN Dr. Wendy Warner on the Dr. Oz Show. Siberian rhubarb root extract, has been shown to relieve a multitude of menopause related complaints. Here are some of the numerous benefits of this amazing remedy. For women in perimenopause, one study reported that the number of daily hot flashes dropped from 12 to 2 in 12 weeks. Women taking Siberian rhubarb root extract reported significantly less anxiety and improved moods. Women reported improvement in all areas of the Menopause Rating Scale, including heart complaints, sleep disturbances, depressive mood, irritability, anxiety, physical and mental exhaustion, sexual problems, urinary tract complaints, vaginal dryness and joint and muscle problems. Siberian Rhubarb Root Extract Recently available in the United States, Siberian rhubarb root extract has been used by women in Europe as an herbal menopause remedy since 1996. The reported benefits of Siberian rhubarb root extract has prompted a number of researchers to investigate this herb. Researchers confirm the safety and efficacy of Siberian rhubarb root extract (ERr 731) in relieving menopause complaints. In 2006 the prestigious medical journal Menopause published an extensive study of Siberian rhubarb root extract. The study followed 109 women with perimenopause related complaints. 54 women were given a specific formula of Siberian rhubarb root extract (called ERr 731 by the researchers) and 55 women were given a placebo (sugar pill) for three months. The researchers assessed the benefits of Siberian rhubarb root extract with a questionnaire designed for such research, called the Menopause Rating Scale. This questionnaire allowed the women to report any improvements in menopause related symptoms in eleven different area's of complaint including hot flushes, sweating (episodes of sweating), heart discomfort (unusual awareness of heart beat, heart skipping, heart racing, tightness), sleep problems (difficulty falling asleep, difficulty in sleeping through, waking up early), depressive mood (feeling down, sad, on the verge of tears, lack of drive, mood swings), irritability (feeling nervous, inner tension, feeling aggressive), anxiety (inner restlessness, feeling panicky), physical and mental exhaustion (general decrease in performance, impaired memory, decrease in concentration, forgetfulness), sexual problems (change in sexual desire, in sexual activity and satisfaction), bladder problems (difficulty urinating, increased need to urinate, bladder incontinence), dryness of vagina (sensation of dryness or burning in the vagina, difficulty with sexual intercourse), and joint and muscular discomfort (pain in the joints, rheumatoid complaints). The women in the study reported improvement in all of the above areas of complaint.

♥ Women, Menopause, High Blood Pressure & A Shorter Lifespan By 20 Years

My Favorite Formula For Lowering Blood Pressure Naturally: ►►http://drsam.co/yt/BloodPressureFormula ======================================= ♥ Women, Menopause, High Blood Pressure & A Shorter Lifespan By 20 Years ======================================= The Link Between Menopause & High Blood Pressure If you know me, then you’re familiar with the fact I believe so much of the way you look and feel is based on your genetics and hormones. This is probably why I’m an Endocrinology doctor - which is the “study of hormones”. As a woman’s natural estrogen levels and other female hormones decrease due to aging and menopause, her blood pressure starts to increase. This is a MAJOR PROBLEM because hypertension is linked to serious health issues such as: Heart disease Diabetes Kidney & renal failure … all of which can shorten a woman’s lifespan by 10 to 20 years or more! It Gets Worse… What’s even scarier is that high blood pressure levels often give you no visible symptoms. It’s a MYTH that people with high blood pressure will experience symptoms, like nervousness, sweating, headaches, nosebleeds or facial flushing. If you ignore your blood pressure because you think a certain symptom or sign will alert you to the problem, you are taking a dangerous chance with your life. This is a VERY important topic for me because I have a family history of high blood pressure. What’s really scared me personally at an early age, is that my grandfather died immediately with his FIRST and ONLY stroke. My uncle was handicapped and paralyzed for the rest of his life, with his FIRST and ONLY stroke. Thus – NO warnings. NO second chances. NO opportunity to make changes or improvements. And this is why high blood pressure is known as the “silent killer”. Unfortunately, having “high blood pressure” has become a “silent” epidemic… and that’s why I’ve put together this information for you today. 5 Simple & Proven Ways To Avoid & Reduce Menopause-Induced High Blood Pressure Take Your Blood Pressure Regularly You need to take your blood pressure regularly. The goal is to have your reading 120/80 or lower. Better Diet, Include 5 Specific Foods Of course, diet makes hypertension better or worse. You want more healthy fats, fish, fiber, vegetables, lower carbs and limit processed foods. And I think everyone knows this. However, I do have a special bonus video below about 5 best foods for lowering your blood pressure, naturally. Two Best Exercises Exercise is great for better health, however the two best forms of exercise for improving your blood pressure is brisk walking and resistance with weights (dumbbells, machines, cables, etc.). You don’t need much, 30 min, 3-4x a week is great for improving your hormones and reducing your stress. Avoid Taking Daily Painkillers A report from the Harvard School of Medicine revealed that women taking painkillers such as acetaminophen (Tylenol) and ibuprofen (Advil and Motrin) increased their risk for high blood pressure by almost 100% So, take these drugs only as needed and definitely not daily or more than 3x weekly. Aspirin does not cause hypertension, but it has its own set of negative side-effects. Take Natural Herbs, Vitamins & Minerals You don’t need to take harmful medications to have healthy blood pressure levels. Nature already has solutions that are proven to work and are safe. Herbs such as Hawthorne Berry, Grape Seed, Celery Seed, Pomegranate and Lycopene extract… Along with Potassium, Magnesium, Calcium, D3, B6 and few others, will naturally lower your blood pressure and keep it in a healthy range. Below this video, there’s a link to a specific formula that my family and I use to lower our blood pressure and it’s something you can easily utilize for yourself.
