U.S. Haults Cigna Medicare Enrollment

00:36
New enrollment in Cigna Corp's Medicare Advantage health plans for seniors and standalone Medicare prescription drug plans has been suspended by the U.S. government, citing noncompliance in its appeals and grievances procedures. The government said Cigna had deficiencies in its appeals and grievances processes in both Medicare Advantage and the Medicare prescription drug program. Cigna's Medicare Advantage and Medicare Part D drug plans help pay for drugs administered outside of a hospital for some 1.5 million people. http://feeds.reuters.com/~r/Reuters/domesticNews/~3/MDV61G6nCZo/story01.htm http://www.wochit.com This video was produced by YT Wochit News using http://wochit.com

Silverscript Part D vs. Humana vs. AARP & Other Medicare Prescription Drug Plans

02:51
Call 1-800-892-7981 or visit http://medicarefriend.com/ Hi there, I'm Glen with the Medicare friend. I have given advice to thousands of folks that are turning 65 and getting onto Medicare for the first time, and what I tell them is conveniently located below for you: Silverscript Part D vs. Humana vs. AARP & All Other Medicare Prescription Drug Plans You're getting ready for Medicare and you are wondering how in the world are you going to get your prescriptions covered and everybody is starting to mail you stuff. Silverscript and AARP and Humana- Humana is so hot right now! AARP is the one that your sister or brother or friend or mother or neighbor has and they love it so is that the best one for you? The correct answer is Maybe... Here's why- unlike Medicare supplements that are all standardized and have to offer identical benefits- Medicare Part D prescription plans can be very different. Each of these Insurance Companies gets to decide how much your specific prescription that you're taking is going to cost. Here's where it gets a little shifty- if a company is boasting that they have a $0 deductible that doesn't mean anything because they may have a much higher co-pay then the next one. And the company with the higher deductible could say that your prescriptions are in a lower-tier on their formulary. And ultimately you would end up paying less for the company with the higher deductible. Better yet some companies with high deductibles can say for your prescriptions, the deductible doesn't apply to them in the first place. And best of all some of the part D plans offer free 3 month supply prescriptions through the mail order. Each person that our team helps gets a thorough analysis on medicare.gov so they will know to the penny what they will pay on one plan versus another. So you can make sure you have the Best Plan! And another nice thing is every year we revisit this with you and make sure you are still in the Medicare Part D plan that saves you the most money overall. So if you get more prescriptions later, you're not stuck, you can switch to a plan that covers your new prescriptions the best. Call us now for a free consultation- We make this SO Easy for you! Talk to you soon. Here at the Medicare friend, we shop the entire market for you, because all we want is to see you happy, with great coverage, and keeping as much money in your pocket as possible. We have NO OTHER MOTIVATION than to give you the best of the best. Call us now or visit us at Medicarefriend.com to schedule a free consultation. Medicare 101: Medicare Part D

02:48
----------------------------------------- http://www.Medigaplist.com Medicare Part D is probably the most confusing part of Medicare. It is the prescription drug plan part of Medicare, and for those of you who are taking prescription medications this is the worst part of Medicare. The Medigap plans and Medicare Advantage plans can seem like a piece of cake when comparing it to the Medicare drug plans, especially if you have to go through the donut hole. Medicare part D is the prescription drug program the government has in place to subsidize the cost of the medications that people who are over the age of 65 or on Medicare in the USA. It was started in 2006 but was enacted as part of the Medicare modernization act. If you are enrolled in medicare Part A, and Medicare Part B you can get a Medicare Part D plan. There is no underwriting done for these plans which means if you are on Medicare you can get a drug plan no matter what you have (Cancer, heart disease, etc). Most people who get a Medigap Plan F from companies such as AARP, Cigna or Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield will wan't to get a prescription drug plan. If you are on Mutual of Omaha Plan N you can still get an AARP Medicare prescription drug plan. If you are on an Advantage plan or an MAPD you will get the drug plan tied in with the Medical coverage. The Medicare Plan F is what the majority of the population on Medicare supplement plans have. There are so many prescription drug plans that are approved by the state governments that you must look at which ones are available by you. If you live in Colorado Springs the Medicare plans may be different than the plans in Denver Colorado. If you live in Jefferson County they could be different than the plans in Pueblo County. If your zip code is 80901 it could be different than the zip code 80942. I am mentioning Colorado just because I wanted to show how from state to state and zip code to zip code it can be different. Is Your Drug Plan Ripping You Off? - Georgia Medicare Explains

07:12
Is your Medicare drug plan ripping you off? Most people do not understand their plan and pay outrageous copay's. Georgia Medicare Minute video explains how to save money on Part D. How Does a Drug Plan Deductible Work? https://youtu.be/LaA9NnFeBXI Are all of your drugs on the formulary? Could you pay less for your medication if you paid with cash? Is GoodRx an option? Would you save money by using a different pharmacy? #GeorgiaMedicarePlans #GAMedigapQuotes #Turning65 How does Medicare work? Bob Vineyard explains in this Georgia Medicare Minute video https://youtu.be/fozDuynxw_k If you are turning 65 and enrolling in Medicare, this may be your only chance to purchase a Medicare supplement plan. Here is your guide to understanding GA Medicare. You don't have to receive Social Security to enroll in Medicare insurance. CMS is the agency that oversees Medicare. Senior healthcare insurance is commonly used to describe Medicare. How to enroll in Medicare? You may sign up for Medicare 3 months before your 65th birthday, the month you turn 65, and 3 months following your 65th birthday. You may enroll online (highly recommended), by mail or by visiting a Social Security office. Original Medicare has 4 parts. https://youtu.be/8TAg_UKrh6s Medicare Part A covers hospital inpatient charges and has a per admission deductible Medicare Part B is for outpatient health care treatment. Doctor visits, labs, X-rays, MRI, CT scan (CAT scan), ambulance, ER, outpatient clinics, etc. Essentially any Medicare approved health care received outside the hospital setting. Treatment considered medically necessary under Medicare guidelines. Medicare Part B has a calendar year deductible. Once satisfied, Medicare pays 80% of the approved charge, you are responsible for the remaining 20%. Most seniors worry about hospital stays, but your major expenses will more than likely fall under Medicare Part B outpatient expenses. Original Medicare stand alone has no cap on your out of pocket expenses. You pay until you run out of money, get well or die. Medicare Part C is now referred to as Medicare Advantage. More on that later. Medicare Part D covers outpatient prescription drugs. Some Advantage plans have drug coverage built into the plan. Medigap and Advantage plans cover the same things, but what you pay out of pocket for your care, and where you receive your care, is very different. Original Medicare does not have networks. You can use any doctor or hospital anywhere in the US. Another plus is the ABN form which is only used with Original Medicare. Advantage plans are managed care plans. Some are PPO, some are HMO. In 2018 about half the plans are HMO with the balance being PPO. If you receive non-emergency out of network care under a PPO you may have higher copay’s and deductibles. Your max OOP may also be higher. Some plans do not cap out of network charges. Non-emergency out of network care charges may be denied if you have an HMO. In 2018 most Advantage plans issued in Georgia limit your out of pocket for approved in network health care expenses to $6700. The American Cancer Society tells us that more than half the 1.4 million new cancer diagnoses occur in people age 65 and older. Roughly 20% of retiree deaths are a result of cancer. Medicare pays for almost half of the $74 billion spent on cancer treatment. The elderly account for 70% of cancer deaths each year. Medicare Advantage and Cancer Treatment https://youtu.be/a4eqQU37l9I Some cancer centers, such as Mayo Clinic, Sloan Kettering and MD Anderson may not participate in certain Medicare Advantage plans. Not all cancer responds to chemotherapy, but 80% of cancers are treated with chemo. Those treatments occur in an outpatient setting and are covered under Medicare Part B. Chemotherapy drugs administered in a doctor's office or clinic normally fall under Part B. Medication from a retail pharmacy or by mail fall under your PDP. This is why most of us chose a Medicare supplement plan in 2018. Bob Vineyard, independent Medicare insurance broker in Georgia, can explain your Georgia Medicare insurance options and will allow you to decide. We represent several carriers including Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross, Humana and more. According to the Mayo clinic, "new cancer treatments are routinely priced at over $100,000 per year of treatment." You may not know it, but the Mayo Clinic does not participate in any Medicare Advantage plans. M D Anderson is another cancer treatment facility that does not accept Medicare Advantage plans. A study from the Medicare Rights discovered the number one reason for disenrolling from a Medicare Advantage plan was “provider access problems”. Number 4 on the list was “cost sharing too high”. You may never receive a cancer diagnosis. But one thing I can tell you with certainty is this. Original Medicare and a supplement plan provides assurance the funds will be there to pay for almost all of your care. Don't get ripped off!

Pennsylvania PACE program for Medicare prescription drugs

02:05
Medicaid and PACE are two great programs for seniors who are looking for some assistance with paying some of the premium costs for prescription drug plans. PACENET is also available for people who are making above the limit but still need some Medicare prescription drug plan assistance. AARP, Aetna and Blue Cross drug plans are great but PACE is fabulous. I chose PACE because I live in Pennsylvania but we do business all over the country so there are other programs in states such as Florida, Arizona, California, New York, Georgia, Ohio, Washington, Nevada, New Jersey and others. Medigap plans are also available. Nothing is free like pace but there are options. To be eligible for PACE and PACENET: · You must be 65 years of age or older · A Pennsylvania resident for at least 90 days prior to the date of application · You cannot be enrolled in the Department of Public Welfare's Medicaid prescription benefit PACE and PACENET eligibility is determined by your previous calendar year's income. PACE · For a single person, total income must be $14,500 or less · For a married couple, combined total income must be $17,700 or less PACENET · PACENET income limits are slightly higher than those for PACE · For a single person, total income can be between $14,500 and $23,500 · For a married couple, combined total income can be between $17,700 and $31,500 PACE Plus Medicare · Under PACE Plus Medicare, PACE/PACENET coverage is supplemented by federal Medicare Part D prescription coverage and offers older Pennsylvanians the best benefits of both programs. Older adults continue to receive the same prescription benefits while, in many cases, saving more money.

Medicare Part D for Diabetes

02:22
click here----http://www.medigaplist.com When you are on Medicare with the biggest worry for most people are the prescription drug plans because the out of pocket costs are pricey. If you are taking Novolog or another Diabetes insulin pen you must do some work so that you are not going to automatically hit the Medicare part d donut hole. It isn't the same for someone taking a generic drug such as Lisinopril or lovastatin. These are the generic drugs that might cost $3 at Walgreens, CVS, or Walmart. The diabetes insulin injections can be costly and can put you into the donut hole in the first quarter of the year. Especially in 2014 when the donut hole is around 50% of your prescription drug retail cost. Many people that are taking Novolog or another diabetes insulin drug will be on a Medicare supplement plan F or a Medigap plan N and think that the costs are really low. They are. The costly part of Medicare plans are the part d Medicare prescription plans. If you compare the best Medicare part D plans and look at some of the out of pocket costs they can be very similar. A list of Medicare supplement plans with part d plans can show a person how to save money. I am using Novolog as an example but it is costly with all of the diabetes drugs. 13 Difference Between Aetna And United healthcare

03:34
1. Aetna: 1.5 million providers worldwide including 664,301 primary care doctors and specialists. United Health Care: 1 million physicians and specialists, 6,000 hospitals and clinics in the United States. 2.  United Healthcare does have the advantage in some states for individual health insurance coverage because the UHC lineup of Health Savings Accounts (HSA’s) are very strong and while Aetna does offer HSA plans they are usually not quite as good as the UHC HSA plans. 3.  Aetna has been very easy, no issues to report. 4. They are both A+ rated companies, so you can't really go wrong with either.  5. Aetna: 15.8 million policyholders United Healthcare Group: 18 million policyholders 6. Medicare Advantage Availability: Aetna: 39 states and DC United Healthcare Group: Nationwide 7. Network Size: UHC does have the slight edge. 8. Aetna: Specific plans vary widely from state to state. United Healthcare: Specific plans still vary slightly from state to state. 9. United Healthcare: Largest number of Advantage enrollments. Aetna: Over 50 years of Medicare experience. 10. Aetna: Wide range of HMO and PPO plans, dependent upon your state United Healthcare: Similar range of HMO and PPO plans 11. Medicare Supplement Availability: Aetna: 44 states United Healthcare: Nationwide 12. Aetna: World-class employer-based health plans used by businesses across the country United Healthcare: Emphasis on individual-based health plans, though they also offer employer-based policies 13.  Hospital workers and administrators much prefer working with Aetna over working with United Healthcare.

Health Insurance Vocab - Medicare Drug Donut Hole

00:29
Medicare Prescription Drug Donut Hole: Most plans with Medicare prescription drug coverage (Part D) have a coverage gap (called a "donut hole"). This means that after you and your drug plan have spent a certain amount of money for covered drugs, you have to pay all costs out-of-pocket for your prescriptions up to a yearly limit. Once you have spent up to the yearly limit, your coverage gap ends and your drug plan helps pay for covered drugs again.

Medicare Part D Colorado 2

01:27
http://www.Medigaplist.com ----------------- There are so many Medicare plans to choose from when dealing with Medicare part D. So much confusion when it comes to the donut hole in Medicare. The premium cost of all of these plans are different, the co pays are different, the mail order pharmacies, the drugs, the Lipitor generic, the simvastatin. It goes on and on, and the one general consensus is that Medicare Part D prescription drug plans are just darn confusing. Rocky mountain health plans in Colorado are easier to figure out than the drug plans for Part D. The first step is to get your Medicare A and B card. If you already have that taken care of and you have a Medicare supplement plan in place the battle is almost won. Maybe it is the annual enrollment period and you simply want to change your drug plan or switch from a Medicare advantage plan. Maybe you just are tired of running your drugs through the system only to find out the Medicare approved part D plans are all expensive. My advice is to get a broker to help you through this. Why is it that people always want to do things themselves? It doesn't cost you anything more to get a Medicare broker to walk you through this time period. If you want Medicare Part D info and you are tired of looking around then call us at Medigaplist. We can help. So many people have asked me what the best Medicare drug plan is and I always tell them it is different for everyone. The AARP drug plan from United Healthcare is the best Medicare drug plan in Colorado for certain people. Humana is the best Medicare Part D plan for someone else. It really depends on the drugs you take. If you take Lisinopril to treat high blood pressure aka hypertension, or you take another ACE inhibitor, the plan isn't going to be the samer Part D Medicare plan that someone taking Actos or Avandia. Omeone who is taking Valium or a Xanax obviously has a different condition than someone taking Altocor, lovastatin or Crestor. How Often can I Change Medicare Supplement Plan ?

06:13
http://www.LibertySeniorSavings.com 88 Medicare Questions in 88 Days (888) 506-7510 Changing your Medicare plan all depends on what Medicare type of plan you have. If you have Medicare Advantage you are not on original Medicare. You are limited to networks, copays, the maximum out-of-pocket is $6,700 a year. Any procedure you have HAS to be authorized by the insurance company. Also you cannot travel and be covered by Medicare Advantage. It is an alternative to original Medicare. If you have Medicare Advantage, there is only one time of the year that you can make changes. That time frame is the fall period between October 15 and December 7. That is the only time you can make changes. Those changes don’t actually take effect until the 1st of January. Medicare Supplement on the other hand gives you freedom in choosing your doctor & hospital & there are no networks. You have no copays and no network restrictions. You can travel and be covered. You have choices of deductible. As of 2017, the 2 most popular plans have either zero deductible or $183 Annual deductible. There is NO max out of pocket like Medicare Advantage. You can change a Medicare Supplement 365 times a year if you like. There are no specific times to make changes like the Medicare Advantage. You want to check on several things with those two plans. It’s beneficial to have someone check out your plan. Is that working for you? Do you want to stay with that? Or do you want to go onto a Supplement & be able to choose your doctors/hospital and have no network restrictions? Medicare Advantage is completely different than a Medicare Supplement. Have a look at the screen. It is about the differences between Medicare Advantage vs. Medicare Supplement. Maybe you want something with a stable premium that you know how much you’re going to pay every month and there’s no surprises. So that’s just a thought or maybe you want to make some changes go from one Medicare Advantage company to the other. There is only one time of the year to make a change to your Part D Prescription Drug Plan. That’s the fall period October 15 to December 7. If have changed any of your prescriptions there might be another plan that might be better for you. That’s something that we offer at the check-in on the drug plan in the fall period. We offer this as a customer service only, we don’t actually handle drug plan. There’s just too many plans. We just use www.medicare.gov. Check out article/video on Part D Drug Plan. We show you step by step everything what we do. We just pop those in the mail to you. That way you can analyze it by deductible, premium and max out of pocket. People think that supplements are lumped into that time frame too but that’s not true. We help people change their supplement 365 days a year. Medicare protects seniors by having all the plans being standardized. This means brings the norm or to be the same. So what that means is every Plan G is the exact same benefits as another Plan G in the market. But Medicare doesn’t police what these companies can charge. See on the screen page 100 of the Medicare & You Guide Book 2016 where it states very clearly that insurance companies can charge different premiums for the exact same policy. Keep in mind that you just want to make sure you are comparing Plan F to Plan F or Plan G to Plan G. Customer service is very important here at Liberty Senior Savings. You get mail, cards, Medicare updates all year around. We do the Rate check in with folks. They do not have to change their plan by any means. We just check-in to make sure that there’s not another option for them that they could qualify for that might be less money for them. So on the Medicare Supplements you can change 365 days a year. We can save people $50/$100/$120 a month without changing any of their benefits.

Medicare Open Enrollment 2018 - What to do... What not to do...

14:53
Medicare Open Enrollment 2018. Complete Medicare Resource Center here: http://www.MedicareonVideo.com 1-877-88KEITH (53484) Medicare Open Enrollment 2018 starts from October 15th to December 7t h. During this time, all Medicare members can update or alter their medical protection schemes. This includes changes to current Medicare healthcare plans that will come into effect in 2019. Learning of the purpose for enrollment and the options available, can help you best prepare for updated medical and prescription coverage. Your Options for Medicare Enrollment 2018 During the Open Enrollment period for Medicare, all registered members are provided the chance to change their healthcare plan. If you wish to upgrade your prescription cover or completely change your general healthcare program, the Medicare Open Election period 2019 allows you to do so easily and conveniently. You can upgrade your Medicare Advantage Plan or your Medicare Part D plan or prescription benefits. Qualifying seniors over the age of 65 years who qualify for Medicare plans may find their cover insufficient for their specific wellness, clinical and chronic care needs. Unfortuantely, you cannot alter your coverage halfway through the year if you find it does not provide what you are looking for. The enrollment period between October and early December offers the chance to make these amendments that become active in January 2018. For Medicare Advantage or prescription cover, members can complete their updates during the stipulated enrollment period with ease. There is no need to register membership for the change in protection or fill out lengthy and complex forms. For those who reside in a chronic care facility or have received a diagnosis of End Stage Renal Disease, you will not be eligible to enroll for the Medicare Advantage Plan at this time. Notice of Change You may receive an Annual Notice of Change or ANOC for the enrolment period, but documents received through the course of the year concerning your healthcare plan should be reviewed. If you wish to alter the policy, you must learn which options or modifications to plans, can better meet personal health needs. Remaining aware of policy features including the extent of cover, benefits and costs can help you determine whether your current medical care plan is sufficient for the new year. If you are satisfied with your protection, simply leave the cover unchanged and it will continue into the new year. Where dissatisfaction with a policy is apparent, be sure to amend your cover during the 2018 Medicare Enrollment period. Enrollment Restrictions You cannot register for a Part B Medicare plan if you are applying for cover for the first time during enrollment. If you are interested in changing your coverage from a Medicare Advantage to a Medigap plan, it cannot be initiated without completing a medical questionnaire. Important Medicare 2018 Enrollment Considerations Learn whether your current prescriptions will continue to be covered in the new year. Part D Medicare patients may be protected for specific prescriptions in 2018 only to have to pay a deductible or co-payment for a certain category of medication owing to changes in suppliers. Your Open Enrollment allows you to update your prescription policy ensuring your medication is comprehensively covered in 2018. During an Open Enrollment, carefully assess your plans to prevent excessive costs for your healthcare in the new term. Rx Rip-off: OptumRx, UnitedHealthcare, Cigna, and Catamaran Inflate Prescription Copays

01:07
Recent investigations show that OptumRx, UnitedHealthcare, Cigna, and Catamaran make their customers overpay for many commonly-used medicines. For example, if a drug costs $3.00 retail, your insurance might require you to pay $30.00 – ten times more – just because $30.00 is the stated copay.

Medicare Explained (in under 4 minutes!) | The 4 Parts of Medicare

03:30
https://www.abtinsuranceagency.com/medicare | (888) 465-9728 Medicare Explained - There are 4 main Parts to Medicare: Part A, Part B, Part C and Part D. Part A is your hospital insurance. This Part of Medicare is usually free, and it helps to cover things like inpatient hospital care, skilled nursing facility care and some home health care. Part A does have some out of pocket costs associated with it – for example, in 2018 there is a $1,340 hospital deductible per 60 day benefit period, so it renews every 60 days. And there is also coinsurance associated with extended hospital days, and skilled nursing facility care. Medicare Part B is your Medical insurance. This helps to cover outpatient services, things like office visits, diagnostic testing, durable medical equipment and even most non self administered medications. Part B isn’t free – most people pay a standard premium of $134/month for Medicare Part B. Part B services are subject to an annual deductible ($183 in 2018) and then, Medicare Part B pays 80% of Part B covered services after the deductible is met – you pay 20%. Medicare Parts A and B together are called original Medicare. Medicare Part C is an optional way to receive your Medicare benefits – so it not mandatory, and in fact it is not ‘original medicare’. Medicare Part C is also called Medicare Advantage, and these are managed care plans that cover Part A and B benefits, and usually include prescription drug benefits as well. If you decide to go with a Medicare Advantage Plan, you typically receive services from network providers, and pay out of pocket in the form of co-pays and coinsurance for certain services. Medicare Part D is your prescription drug coverage. You can get Part D coverage either built into your Part C Medicare Advantage Plan, or if you have original Medicare you can purchase a stand alone Part D plan. Stand alone Part D plans are offered by different insurance companies and the plan that is best for you will be based on the medications you are taking currently. These are the four parts of Medicare explained in a nutshell! Medicare Part D Colorado

01:24
--------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.Medigaplist.com There are so many Medicare plans to choose from when dealing with Medicare part D. Would you take Aviane or a ethinyl estradiol/levonorgestrel for your back pain; I don't think so. oyu need to get a list of Medicare Part D drug plans and compare the premiums. You also want to compare the best Medigap plan F and see if you can save money on your supplemental Medigap plan. Medicare Supplement vs Medicare Advantage: Which one is better?

05:29
Selecting between Medicare Supplement and Medicare Advantage plans is an important decision for those turning 65 or retiring and selecting their Medicare coverage for the first time. This video explains the difference between Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement plans, also known as Medigap. We will cover things like the premium, cost, copay, deductible, out of pocket expenses, and networks of these two popular supplement insurance plans. This video will help in your decision making process as you select between Medicare Advantage and Medicare supplement plans. This is another one of the most common questions that we get here at Medicare hero is how do I decide which type of coverage is really best for me. Medicare Supplement: So first let's talk about Medicare supplement plans. The monthly premiums for Medicare supplement plans range from about $85 to $170 dollars a month, actually for people turning 65 I see an average of about $100 to $120 per month for their coverage. The premiums you pay all depends on your age, gender, and where you live. With a Medicare Supplemental plans we can see any doctor or any Hospital in the entire country that accepts Medicare there's absolutely no networks, and when we go to see those doctors there's no co-pays, no deductibles, and no out-of-pocket expenses. All we do is pay our monthly Insurance premiums and we're done. Additionally with a Medicare supplement plan you never need a referral to see a specialist, and again it doesn't matter which insurance company you select such as AARP United Healthcare, Humana, Aetan, Cigna, Mutual of Omaha, or New Era, you can always go see a specialist without a referral when you have a Medigap Plan. Now the last part of Medicare I want to talk about is prescription drug coverage, Part D of Medicare. With a Medicare supplement plan you can select independently of your Medicare supplement insurance company a prescription drug RX plan. Medicare Advantage: Medicare Advantage plans were created as a low cost alternative to Original Medicare and Medicare supplement plans. When I say lower-cost what I mean is lower monthly premiums. So the premiums for Medicare advantage plans can be anywhere from $0 in addition to what you're already paying for part b of Medicare up to $60 or $70 and premiums can even be as high as a hundred dollars a month. The key with Medicare Advantage plans is that we want to keep our premiums low because that is the advantage is low monthly premiums. So one of the compromises that Medicare Advantage plans make in order to get those low monthly premiums is they have network so you want to make sure that your doctors and hospitals that you choose to use are in the network for the insurance company you're looking at. This means that Medicare insurance companies such as AARP United Healthcare will have a different network then Humana, Aetna, or bluecross blueshield. So just be careful make sure your doctors, specialists and hospitals are in network. Also your Networks and doctors can change mid-year but we can't necessarily change our Part C coverage. Additionally because we now get those low monthly premiums we now have to pay deductibles co-pays and other charges when we use our insurance coverage. So if you see a specialist you might have a small copay, if you go to the hospital you will have to pay a certain amount of pocket. So we get low monthly premiums with Medicare Advantage plans but then we have to spend money the more we use our healthcare insurance. Additionally Many of the most affordable Part C Medicare Advantage plans do require referrals to see a specialist. Now that we've had all the key points both Medicare advantage and Medicare supplement plans what's the bottom line? Well Medicare supplement plans are best for people who can afford the extra premiums and if you most value your choice of doctors and hospitals as well as a predictable healthcare budget where you're not going to have large healthcare expenses throughout the year. You know if you just pay your monthly premiums you're going to be set. Medicare Advantage plans on the other hand are simply the best if you're looking for low monthly premiums. 2018/2019 Medicare Enrollment- Change Medicare Supplement, Medicare Advantage, Medicare Part D Plan

05:06
2018/2019 Medicare Enrollment- Change Medicare Supplement, Medicare Advantage or Medicare Part D Plan. What is the 2018/2019 Medicare Enrollment Period and why is it important to you? This video outlines what you can do and the changes you can make during the 2018 Medicare annual enrollment period, regardless of the type of Medicare coverage you have. The Annual Enrollment (Election) Period (AEP) takes place October 15 to December 7 and is available to all Medicare beneficiaries, especially those that have a Medicare Advantage "Part C" plan and/or a Medicare drug plan "Part D". If you have a Medicare Supplement insurance plan "Medigap" and want to change your plan for any reason, you can do that at any time during the year. During the Annual Election Period: Beneficiaries may add or drop MA (Medicare Advantage) and/or drug coverage, or return to Original Medicare. No action is needed if the beneficiary chooses to keep his/her current plan. She/he should check for any benefit changes under the plan. Beneficiaries may make more than one enrollment choice during the Annual Election Period, but the last one made prior to the end of the Annual Election Period, as determined by the date the plan or marketing representative receives the completed enrollment form, will be the election that takes effect. How to track Medicare Part B Deductible for Medigap Plans G & N

08:17
888-411-1329 https://www.remedigap.com/ https://www.mymedicare.gov/ This video is all about tracking the Part B deductible so you don’t accidentally overpay it. This is especially important if you have Medicare Supplement plan G or Medicare Supplement plan N because you will receive bills from medical providers and you want to make sure you pay only the amount you’re responsible for. Once you overpay, then you have to try and get your money back from the provider. This can lead to stress and time wasted. I’ll show you some great ways you can track the Part B deductible. The Part B Deductible is actually the medical deductible, so doctor visits, lab work, durable medical equipment are some of the type of claims that are applied towards the Part B deductible. There are several easy techniques for tracking the Part B deductible. And, it's always a great idea to cross reference using the ideas in this video. This will help if you get a bill from the provider that includes more than what you think you should pay. Medicare providers will sometimes send a bill and include the Part B coinsurance, so it's important to know what you've already paid. This video includes a Client Case Study that shows exactly how you can accidentally be overcharged after meeting the Part B deductible. And as a side note, if you have Medigap Plan N, you'll want to keep your co-pay and deductible information separate. Overall, keeping track of the Medicare Part B deductible is very easy. It's also time well spent on the front end to avoid overpaying later on. This is especially important if you have Medigap Plan G or Medigap Plan N insurance.

Wednesday Medicare Supplement Rate Watch

03:18
This Wednesday Medicare Supplement Rate Watch is focused on Medgiap Plan G, for a female, ages 65, 70 and 75 in Dallas County Texas (zip code 75043). As I have said before, Medicare Supplement plans are all Federally regulated by the government. There is no reason for anyone to pay more with one carrier over another because the letter of the plan dictates the coverage, not the carrier. You are not getting any additional benefits by paying more. That’s why it is important to shop your coverage every year, and we can help you with that. You may ask, “Why do these companies charge different prices if they are all the same?” That’s a great question. Carriers have different administrative costs and they have different profit goals. There’s tons of different reasons why these big companies charge different prices. What you need to know is, just like in your Medicare book, Plan G is the same with every carrier. Medicare Supplement Plan Rate Increase History - GA Medicare

06:48
How often do Medicare supplement rates increase? How much have they gone up in the past? Which carrier has the lowest rate increases? Where can I find this information. If you are turning 65 and enrolling in Medicare, this may be your only chance to purchase a Medigap plan. How does Medicare work? Bob Vineyard explains in this Georgia Medicare Minute video Original Medicare has 4 parts. Medicare Part A covers hospital inpatient charges and has a per admission deductible Medicare Part B is for outpatient health care treatment. How are Georgia Medicare supplement plans priced? Almost all GA Medigap carriers have entry age pricing. The highest premium for any particular plan could be as much as 3x the lowest premium. Rate increase histories are meaningless. https://www.csgactuarial.com/2018/03/medicare-supplement-rate-change-report-april-2/ Anthem GA Medigap rates are new as of July 2018. Prior to that supplement plans were issued under the BCBSGA label. Since 2018 they have offered plan G and HDF in addition to other plans. Both plans were retired a few years ago and then G was reintroduced in 2017. Since 2010 Blue has used unisex rates and did not charge extra for tobacco use. They currently have male/female rates and do rate for tobacco use. These changes make rate increase history meaningless. Current Anthem rates on plan G are competitive in many areas and they include Silver Sneakers. Compare rates using the link below. https://brokerportal.anthem.com/ac/BobVineyardAnthemGA #SilverSneakers video https://youtu.be/D7ipPoiJpFg #GeorgiaMedicarePlans #GAMedigapQuotes #Turning65 Medigap and Advantage plans cover the same things, but what you pay out of pocket for your care, and where you receive your care, is very different. Some cancer centers, such as Mayo Clinic, Sloan Kettering and MD Anderson may not participate in certain Medicare Advantage plans. Medicare expert explains how to find the best rates!
