www.dailyrxnews.com Coffee is a morning ritual for many people. But if you find yourself pouring too many cups, too often — that could be a problem. A new study from Italy, that looked at the link between coffee intake, high blood pressure and prediabetes, found that patients who had mild high blood pressure and drank coffee heavily had an increased risk of severe high blood pressure and prediabetes. "There is controversy surrounding the long term cardiovascular and metabolic effects of coffee consumption in patients with hypertension," said lead study author Lucio Mos, MD, a cardiologist at the Hospital of San Daniele del Friuli in Italy, in a press release. "Our study was designed to evaluate whether coffee drinking had an effect on the risk of cardiovascular events, and if the association was mediated by effects on blood pressure and glucose metabolism.

Blood Pressure And Coffee Consumption Part 1
http://www.DietCoffee.org http://mushroomcoffee.wordpress.com/ Coffee for women, and its effect on their blood pressure, is an exception to the maxim that moderation in all things is a good approach to life, contend researchers here. Dr. Uiterwaal was the recipient of an unrestricted grant from the organization on Physiological Effects of Coffee in Paris. Women who drink coffee by the pot full for a long time had a lower relative risk of hypertension than did women who indulged in one to three daily cups, Cuno S.P.M. Uiterwaal, M.D., of the University Medical Center, Utrecht, and colleagues, reported in the March issue of the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition. The effect on blood pressure of a lot of coffee did not hold for men, the investigators found in their longitudinal cohort study. But both men and women who abstained from coffee had a lower relative risk of hypertension than light coffee drinkers. ""The most important merit of our study is the elucidation of the role of coffee intake through its relation with hypertension in increasing the risk of cardiovascular disease,"" they wrote. http://www.DietCoffee.org http://mushroomcoffeediet.wordpress.com/

And having hypertension is one of the leading causes of a heart attack or stroke.(1) Now, there are lots of ways to naturally lower your blood pressure and under this video, in the description area, I’ve listed some of my favorites. However, don’t go there yet because most people, including doctors, mistakenly consume less salt to lower blood pressure. However, low-salt diets typically don’t make much of a difference. What does make a big difference is lowering sugar in your diet and more specifically, “high fructose corn syrup” In a recent study in the journal Open Heart (2), the authors write: “Evidence from epidemiological studies and experimental trials in animals and humans suggests that added sugars, particularly fructose, may increase blood pressure and blood pressure variability, increase heart rate and myocardial oxygen demand, and contribute to inflammation, insulin resistance and broader metabolic dysfunction. Thus, while there is no argument that recommendations to reduce consumption of processed foods are highly appropriate and advisable, the arguments in this review are that the benefits of such recommendations have less to do with sodium—minimally related to blood pressure and perhaps even inversely related to cardiovascular risk—and more to do with highly-refined carbohydrates and sugars." The Problem Started In The 1970s Food and beverage manufacturers began switching their sweeteners from sucrose (table sugar) to corn syrup in the 1970s when they discovered that High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS) was far cheaper to use in their products. In fact, HFCS is the #1 source of calories in America!!!( 3) It’s found in almost everything you can think of. More specifically, in sodas and fruit juices. But also in many pre-packaged foods. This also includes “healthy sugars” sweetened with agave. My Proven “Prescription” and Recommendation For You You must do your best to limit and eliminate all HFCS and to do this, make sure you read labels. Again, the LESS pre-packaged the food, the better. Limit your TOTAL fructose to 25 grams or less, that’s about 100 calories daily. This includes the natural fructose found in fruits. If you are already suffering from high blood pressure or signs of insulin resistance like diabetes, overweight and high cholesterol, you should be particularly careful to limit your fructose, including that from whole fruits, to 15 grams per day or less. That’s about 60 calories daily. So there you have it. Focus more on limiting your sugars, this includes fruit sugar, fructose … and especially “high fructose corn syrup” which is found in most pre-packaged foods, especially sodas and fruit juices. Now, I wanted to keep this video short and simple so you have something to implement today and start get results right away. If you want more details on how to lower your blood pressure naturally, under this video I’ve got simple and proven solutions that you can utilize and you do NOT even have to change your diet or exercise. Caffeine and Blood Pressure Q&A - What Are The Effects?
Do you feel a sudden surge in your blood pressure when you take your daily dose of caffeine? http://goo.gl/L5Ae0f - Yes, it is proven that caffeine consumption results in increasing blood pressure. But, how? There can be various causes. Caffeine is said to block the hormone needed to keep the arteries wide resulting in narrow arteries and difficulty in pumping the blood by the heart. This leads to increasing and unnatural heartbeats because heart's natural function is being tampered with. It also holds true that caffeine enhances adrenalin release, which gives your body a high, and your heartbeats go up. If all this is left untreated, it can lead to kidney and artery damage, heart problems and even brain damage. A doctor will always suggest that you eliminate caffeine from your routine if you want your healthy body back. High Blood Pressure Foods To Avoid And Foods To Eat - A Hypertension Diet Plan
Certain foods raise your blood pressure - we all know that. But when you ask someone exactly which foods lower blood pressure and which ones increase it, many will just say "it goes up when you eat meat, and down when you eat fruits and vegetables." In a general sense, that right. But many people don't realize that it's not that simple. Food that comes from animals is usually more likely to cause hypertension - high blood pressure - than fruits and vegetables. But even some foods that don't come from animals may contain a lot of certain elements - especially sodium or salt - that affect blood pressure in a negative way. Think potato chips, frozen foods that come in a box (like frozen lasagna), and canned soups, just to name a few. And then there are those fast food french fries we all love. This video offers the basics of a high blood pressure diet plan, spelling out foods to avoid and foods to eat to keep your blood pressure in a normal range. This video is intended for the general public - not for medical professionals. It's meant to provide basic and introductory information about hypertension. If you think your blood pressure is too high, you should see your doctor, and rely solely on his or her diagnosis and advice.

Energy Drinks Raise Blood Pressure, Study Finds
Energy drinks might give you some pep — but they might also be priming you for heart problems, a new study finds. Researchers found that energy drinks can raise blood pressure to potentially unhealthy levels. The effect was far more prominent in young adults who did not consume caffeine regularly, according to the study, presented March 14 at an American College of Cardiology meeting in San Diego. In this study, the research team — led by Dr. Anna Svatikova, a cardiovascular-diseases fellow at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota — gave a can of a commercially available energy drink to 25 healthy volunteers, whose ages ranged from 19 to 40. According to findings The participants experienced a more marked rise in blood pressure after consuming the energy drink than after drinking the placebo. Previous studies have associated the consumption of energy drinks with poor memory and learning, anxiety, hallucinations, abnormal heart rhythm, substance abuse, and risk-taking behaviors. A study published in the journal Pediatrics in 2011 found that children, in particular, are at high risk of cardiac abnormalities from consuming energy drinks because of their smaller body size. http://www.livescience.com/50178-energy-drinks-blood-pressure.html http://www.wochit.com

Sky-High Blood Pressure and Can't Sleep For Sh*t!!
http://humanhealthlink.com/sky-high-blood-pressure-cant-sleep-sht/ Thank you, Everett for the show idea. This high blood pressure is said to be one of the most efficient killers of humans over 50 years. Let me tell you that's BULLSH*T! Your high blood pressure is the only thing keeping you alive. True, you cannot have perpetually high BP because it's dangerous, however, you can gradually lower it naturally with fruits and vegetables, vitamins and minerals. If you can't sleep, there can be numerous reasons for this. However, if it's due to sleep apnea, we can tell you that it's due to your throat muscles (including your tongue) collapsing too much during sleep. This can be spawned from our anatomical make-up (the way we are built), weak muscles, or degeneration of cartilage. I'm going to assume it's the later for most of us. Seeing that every time a human is hankered with pain, we tend to look for the "solution in a bottle", which is almost never the solution at all. All meds inhibit or slow the production of proteoglycans, the building block of our cartilage. Do a cleanse to strengthen the cartilage and then keep it strong with fresh fruits and vegetables, vitamins and minerals. You WILL notice a big difference.

Coffee and heart disease study
A Korean study looked at 25 000 patients using imaging to measure the levels of calcium deposits in the arteries as a measure of fatty build up, which is a marker for heart disease. They then asked these patients about their typical coffee consumption and found a link to those who drank having lower calcium deposits. Though it's an interesting finding this study can not be used to show that drinking coffee was the reason for this effect. Heart disease builds over many years and these patients may have many other factors that contribute to their health that is unlikely to be picked up clearly with this method of analysis. Coffee is known to have positive factors, one of which is that it contains antioxidants. Coffee contains caffeine, which is the world's most widely used stimulant. This blocks the adenosine receptor, a neurotransmitter that is responsible for sleep and vasoconstriction so it may worsen or improve headaches due to analgesic properties. It may therefore also effect your sleep, cause withdrawal symptoms when stopped. It is also found to increase blood pressure. Boiled coffee has been found to raise LDL cholesterol levels and at high intakes over 800mg daily found to increase risk of heart attack in a study done in Finish men. This Korean study found a positive benefit, but as we can see, it only measured one outcome measure of calcium deposits and thus we can see from previous study noted above that there is more that needs to be taken into account. Concentrating on one food as the answer is unlikely to be the way forward in any condition. As always, all foods in moderation, working together are likely to all contribute small benefits to make up the bigger picture of health.

Top 7 Foods That Causes High Blood Pressure
http://bit.ly/bloodPressureNow Top 7 Foods That Causes High Blood Pressure High blood pressure tends to make your arteries stiff and is a leading cause of heart disease and stroke. For instance, it is well known that high sodium consumption may raise you blood pressure levels. Your body is known to hold extra water to wash away the salt and this may cause your blood pressure to rise as the added water puts an extra load on your heart and blood vessels. Besides salt, there are some other foods too that can raise your blood pressure levels unknowingly. 1. Dairy products: Dairy products like milk and cheese contain sodium naturally. Some studies have shown that cheeses such as Mozzarella and emmental are known to contain lesser sodium than the others. Whole milk is also full of fat and so, if you have high blood pressure, you should prefer low fat or skimmed milk. 2. Alcohol: A lot of studies indicate that having more than three drinks can temporarily raise your blood pressure levels. Moreover, repeated episodes of binge drinking are known to have a long lasting effect on your blood pressure levels. 3. Coffee: The primary stimulant in coffee, caffeine is known to raise your blood pressure levels considerably. It is believed that caffeine may block adenosine, a hormone responsible for keeping blood vessels widened and ensuring smooth flow of blood. If you have high blood pressure, you must also steer clear of energy drinks that offer a high dose of both caffeine and sugar that are known to have a negative impact on your blood pressure levels. 4. Refined sugar: Excess sugar leads to more fat creation and fat accumulation in the body. Weight gain and obesity are the major cause of high blood pressure. Excess fat, especially around your abdominal area, is known to make your arteries inflexible and thus cause high blood pressure. 5. Frozen fish and seafood: While seafood is considered to be a healthier meat, it may contain a higher amount of sodium. For instance, fresh shrimp is high on sodium. Similarly, frozen fish is often brined in a salt solution to make it last longer and it is best to avoid it if you have high blood pressure. 6. Pork, red meat and processed meat: Pork and red meat contain a whole lot of fat that may get accumulated in the body and put on extra load on your blood vessels of even cause blockages. Processed meats like ham or bacon, on the other hand, are often soaked in salt solution to increase their shelf life which adds to their sodium content. 7. Pickles: Your favourite pickle may be sneakily raising your blood pressure. Pickles contain a whole lot of salt and are a common accompaniment with most of our meals. Those at risk of high blood pressure should go easy on them. Also, remember that salt as salt be it sea salt or table salt. The American Heart Association cautions that all varieties contain sodium, so must read the label to known the actual quantities because they may not necessarily be healthier alternatives. High salt in other foods such as butter, sauces and salad dressing may also raise your blood pressure levels and it is best to consume them in moderation. Welcome to my channel where we bring you insightful, fun and educational videos on all things pertaining to health In This video I am going to talk about how fasting can reduce blood pressure. In my practice I have seen several of my patients reduce their blood pressure through a combination of intermittent fasting and water fasting on a regular bases. I am going to go over 2 research articles supporting using fasting to lower blood pressure and then at the end of my video will go over one benefit of calorie restriction on cardiovascular health. So make sure to stay till the end of this video. The first study was done with 110 patients which consist with an average weight of 290 + pounds who were hospitalized for three weeks for the treatment of extreme obesity with the fasting diet. The patients were evaluated several times for changes in blood pressure, lipid profile, as well as glucose and insulin levels. The results of the study showed decrease in cholesterol levels, normal glucose tolerance levels in 88% of the patients and blood pressure decreased on average 11 + points systolic and 7+ points diastolic. Also their weight decreased on average 30 pounds. This second study is similar to the first but with greater results. It had 174 hypertension patients go through a pre-prep diet before a long 10-11 day water fast. The results was almost 90% of the patients had reduction in blood pressure by 37/13 mm Hg points and stage 3 hypertension cases had blood pressure reduction on average of 60/17 mm Hg points. Patients also on hypertensive medications were all successful coming off them during and after the study. The last study I am going to talk about has to do with calorie restriction benefiting lowering your chances of getting atherosclerosis and Heart disease. Within this study patients were fed 1100-1900 calories compared to the other group consuming 2000-3500 calories. They found that the group that consumed lesser calories had lower cholesterol, triglycerides which put them in the ultra healthy level of the top 5th percentile of 20 year olds as well as 40% less carotid wall thickness Wow this is amazing! You can see there is some profound effects of fasting when it comes to cardiovascular health. If you ever thought of doing a fast talk to your doctor first to see if you can benefit from it. WARNING: Why Caffeine Is Horrible For Your Health & Hormones
A scientifically researched and natural solution for increasing your energy levels WITHOUT using caffeine: 👉👉 http://drsam.co/yt/Natural-Energy-Booster Or discover the worst energy supplement for your health: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-0c7CTy6Sg =============================================== WARNING: Why Caffeine Is Horrible For Your Health & Hormones =============================================== #caffeine Most of you aren’t going to like today’s topic, because most people consume daily, the most abused drug on the planet and that’s caffeine. And YES, caffeine is a drug. So powerful that Coca Cola’s original ingredient contained cocaine and they needed a replacement for it and the substitute was and still is, caffeine! Whether it’s your morning or daily coffee and tea, the usual “energy drinks”, sodas, pre-workout products or dozens of other “energy” stimulatory products that contain caffeine. In fact, most people can’t seem to start the day without getting their “caffeine hit”. The problem with caffeine is that it “burns out” your Central Nervous System and causes numerous, negative changes in your hormones, which ultimately accelerates aging. The negative changes in hormones are: Increase in stress hormones, such as cortisol -- this means more belly fat. Decrease in testosterone -- this means less muscle and lower libido. Decrease in growth hormone & IGF -- more fat, accelerated aging. Decrease in thyroid hormones (T3) -- slower metabolism and fat gain. Decrease in adrenal hormones -- DHEA, pregnenolone, etc. Decrease in melatonin -- sleep and anti-aging hormone. Increase in estrogen -- breast cancer, gynecomastia (“Man Boobs”), irregular menstruation Higher blood sugar and insulin insensitivity -- more fat, less muscle, diabetes, etc. Another major issue is neurological in that it causes issues by decreasing dopamine release and dopamine receptor sensitivity -- both are bad because it decreases happiness and can cause parkinson's. It also causes a decrease in another neurotransmitter, serotonin. This means again, less happiness, more worry, stress, anxiety and panic. Other health problems that are non-hormonal Oxidative stress and inflammation -- related to numerous health problems, aches and pains PH imbalance (more acidic) -- acid reflux, osteoporosis, gut bacterium imbalances Insomnia & poor sleep (shallow REM sleep) -- cause of too many health problems and hormonal imbalances. High blood pressure Honestly, I can go on and on. And trust me when I tell you that when I take a little bit of caffeine, I feel AMAZING. I honestly do. I’m happy, very productive and just more focused. But I’ve done so many tests with it and no matter what I do, within a few days my body adapts, I need to increase the dose, my hormones start to change for the worst -- as does my sleep. And people who I’ve tested who habitually consume caffeine daily, for years and years (like most of us) -- trust me, they have a lot of health issues. BUT NOT ONCE, will a doctor say “get off the caffeine, it’s killing you”. This is because nobody even thinks of caffeine as a drug. And “every does it”. Remember, it’s a very potent drug and works in many ways, the same as Cocaine. And both are “natural” and found in “nature”. But they are not to be consumed in highly concentrated sources, like we do in modern society. Anyway, like I said -- I really like how I feel on caffeine, I just don’t like to deal with the negatives - especially the hormonal imbalances. So, what does this mean? Because I know right now most people are thinking “umm… no way am I gonna stop my caffeine, I love my coffee, etc., etc.” Yeah, I get it. However, the good news is that there are much safer, healthier and even better solutions -- natural herbs, plant extracts and amino acids that will give you all the energy and focus you need, but without any of the negative side-effects that I’ve mentioned today. No crash. No negative hormonal changes. Plus, they are actually GOOD for your health -- body AND especially mind. Better for memory, cognition and mood. They actually help improve your hormones and neurotransmitters. They have anti-aging benefits, especially for your mind. ======================================== Subscribe to Dr.Sam Robbins's official Youtube channel http://drsam.co/yt/subscribe Like us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/DrSamRobbins ========================================= Thanks DrSamRobbins

Health Benefits of Coffee | Healthy Food
Watch more How to Eat Healthy Food videos: http://www.howcast.com/videos/501168-Health-Benefits-of-Coffee-Healthy-Food There are some health benefits associated with drinking coffee. The first is that coffee is pretty high in antioxidants which again protect your entire body and can sometimes help protect your cardiovascular system. But the problem with coffee is that it also raises your blood pressure which hurts your cardiovascular system so I think that might be a draw. Coffee has been associated with lowering your risk of dementia and Parkinson's Disease and for women it's also associated with a lower risk of stroke, but you wanna be careful what you add to your coffee that might outweigh those benefits. Make sure you're not drinking super sweet sugary or super dairy filled coffee drinks. You definitely wanna stay away from those huge drinks that you get in some cafes that are mostly sugar and dairy and look like milkshakes; those aren't gonna give you the benefits of coffee. Even though there are some benefits to drinking coffee, you definitely don't want your kids to be drinking it; it can really affect their mood, it can affect their blood pressure, their ability to concentrate. Kids don't need coffee, they naturally have enough energy to get through the day. Older adults might find more benefits, in more protection from things like stroke, Parkinson's and diabetes.
