Angioedema. Swollen face, swollen lips. Never had this before.

00:33
Put this video up hoping it will help others to become aware what the symptoms of angioedema are and that it could happen to anyone. As we age our bodies break down and medications which someone may have taken for years without a problem, could be a problem later on down the road. I was really frightened and had no idea what was causing this to happen. I wore a mask on my way to the hospital so as not to have others stare at my swelling. So this is happening right now, March 1, 2012. Great way to start the month. Woke up at 4 am with my left bottom corner lip a little swollen, took a Claritin. Then woke up again with intense swelling and took a bendryl. Then finally called the doctor and met with him at noon because the swelling just grew more, I didn't even think it was possible. The doctor says my swelling is called angioedema and my body is reacting to an ACE inhibitor medication. The ACE inhibitor is found in drugs used to control high blood pressure, which I take Lysinopril. I was then injected with Kenalog 40mg, which is a type of steroid to counteract with the histamine in my body. I was also injected with Dephendramine 25mg, which is a type of Benadryl. He injected a small dosage of Dephendramine since I drove myself to the hospital. Next steps are I am to take Benadryl every 4-6 hours. If the swelling doesn't go down by tomorrow, doctor says I have to go to ER and have large amounts of a different type of steroid put into me along with other meds. As of right now the swelling is considered severe. So far swelling has not gone down. I told the doctor it is really odd I am having this reaction since I have had this medication for 6 years, I don't take it everyday, yet I never have reacted like this before. He said as we age our bodies break down and right now my body cannot handle the medication. Going back to sleep and praying it will go down. I'm thinking the swelling should decrease once the lysinopril leaves my body. UPDATE as of March 4, 2012. I have healed and it took 4 days to heal. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Follow me on: http://www.etsy.com/people/LuckyYogi Twitter @ http://twitter.com/#!/TheLuckyYogi Facebook @ https://www.facebook.com/TheLuckyYogi YouTube @ http://www.youtube.com/user/LuckyYogi

Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria Treatment - Chronic Urticaria Causes - Urticaria Causes

03:35
Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria Treatment - Chronic Urticaria Causes - Urticaria Causes Get it here: http://bit.ly/1TDFjTb Chronic Urticaria Causes Chronic urticaria, also called Ordinary urticaria, is defined as the presence of passing wheals, which lasts for more than six weeks. Chronic urticaria causes include allergic, non-allergic, genetic, and immunological factors. Chronic urticaria can be triggered by various factors, such as drugs, extreme pressure, temperature extremes, friction, intensive exercise, and sunlight. In most patients, chronic urticaria causes are unknown. Up to 40% of chronic urticaria cases have an autoimmune cause. Extreme emotional conditions, such as stress, may directly or indirectly provoke a tendency to develop urticaria. Urticaria Causes What causes urticaria is a very difficult question to answer, as there are known and unknown causes for this skin condition. Following, are the major urticaria causes: Idiopathic Causes: Though there are many known causes for urticaria, there are many unknown causes as well, which are called idiopathic causes. Most people have idiopathic causes for urticaria, which is why it is on the top of my list. Drugs: Manmade drugs are considered to be the major cause of urticaria. These drugs include different antibiotics (Penicillin), hormonal preparations, anti-inflammatory drugs (aspirin, indomethacin), vaccinations, NSAIDs, foreign sera, and contraceptive pills, etc. Morphine-induced urticaria has been reported in some patients. The urticaria patients who use cocaine or those who inject heroin may suffer from Bronchospasm. Allergens and Food allergens: Different allergens can cause urticaria; however, the individual's hypersensitivity plays a major role in this. Many artificially flavored foods and some natural foods, such as wheat, milk, eggs, cheese, cereals, peas, oranges, fish, and chicken can also cause urticaria. Synthetic Products: Urticaria may also be induced in response to the excess usage of synthetic products, such as deodorants, colognes, talcum powders, and other cosmetic products. Other Causes: Other causes of urticaria include infections and infestations, emotional factors, alcohol, and environmental factors. P.S. (from Dr. Gary M. Levin, M.D. & Surgeon) I know what you may feel and think - "I am lost! I don't have any chance to get cured etc" - I have heard this numerous times and I must tell you this: I have seen TONS of urticaria & angioedema sufferers get cured at my private clinic and online using my simple method. I KNOW what I am talking about. Impending Manstration? I've been on Testosterone for almost 2 months, and I'm starting to get cramps... Started Danazol (for endomitriosis) in October of 2013, which caused me to have no periods from January onwards. I stopped Danazol shortly after starting T,which was near the end of May. Hopefully nothing will come of the cramps, fingers crossed!

Visit: ►► http://urticariatreatment.eg101.com ◄◄ HOME NATURAL TREATMENT AUTOIMMUNE URTICARIA Chronic Urticaria is the medical condition which causes red wheals to appear on the surface of one's skin for more than 6 weeks. While most people will develop urticaria at least once in their lifetime, it usually will go away in a day's time, and it will not be considered severe. When it persists it develops into Chronic Urticaria which can be caused by more than one factor, not mostly allergies as most people think. Here are the 5 most popular causes of chronic urticaria: 1. Idiopathic Causes What this means is that the exact causes of the condition are unknown and generally when dealing with chronic urticaria the causes are idiopathic and thus undetermined, this "cause" being at the top of the list. 2. Medicine/Drugs The 2nd most encountered cause of this condition is manmade drugs which can be anything from antibiotics, aspirin and different vaccines to contraceptive or diet pills. Also, if chronic urticaria patents are also users of cocaine or inject themselves with heroin they might very well develop a condition known as bronchospasm which is a condition that causes difficult breathing which can range from mild to severe. 3. Allergic Reactions This is probably the most known cause of chronic urticaria to the general public, as most patients believe they developed the condition because something they ate or took. They usually stop eating that certain food and when the urticaria persists they are left with no idea of its causes. It is important to note that urticaria that is indeed caused by something you ate or medicine you took will almost always manifest itself in minutes to a few hours after consuming the respective product meaning it will be fast acting. 4. Stress Believe it or not this is another common cause of chronic urticaria. Stress from work, home or school can definitely cause acute or chronic hives, but it is not only limited to mental stress, as the same goes with physical stress. If your body is extremely solicited on a regular basis you may very well develop the condition. 5. Metabolic Diseases Liver or kidney disease can also cause this condition, along with a high or low thyroid function but also autoimmune diseases (the condition in which the immune system attacks the skin). These are the five most common causes for urticaria. If you are interested in finding information regarding curing this condition by using natural proven methods, follow the link below.
