I would also add in fiber supplements as well, especially if you have a hard time getting it all from food. Cut back on sugar. The sugar found in processed foods like cookies, ice cream, and sugar-sweetened beverages has no nutritional value. Unfortunately, sugar is hidden in almost all “man-made” foods. They increase your blood sugar levels... Which when combined with the unhealthy fats, clogs your arteries and reduces blood flow. 2 -- Exercise First, we all need to move more. All we tend to do is sit all day long -- computer, phone, driving, eating, work, etc. The reason exercise is important is because it helps improve your youth hormones, which then helps your body naturally get rid of toxins - this includes plaque. You should lift weights and do cardio - both are needed. And in my opinion, “resistance exercise” is more important than cardiovascular. This means lifting weights - which can be with free weights, machines, cables or simply your own bodyweight. And if you workout quickly, it will also give you a very strong cardiovascular workout at the same time. You only need 3x weekly and I would add in daily walking as well. 3 -- Take Specific Supplements Taking specific herbs, vitamins and minerals that are clinically proven to help your improve blood flow and circulation, will give you the biggest and fastest improvements in preventing AND removing plaque buildup. This simple exercise will also help avoid the embarrasing “premature ejeculation”, allowing you to statisfy your parter, better and long than ever before. If you’ve been following my work and watching my videos, you would know that certain exercises can either increase or decrease your libido, erection strength, hardness and even size, because of hormonal changes. If you didn’t already know, testosterone is the primary hormone that increases your libido, sex drive and “muscle size”. Unfortunately, this hormone starts to decrease around the age of 25. However, certain exercises can increase your decrease your testosterone. For example, doing too much cardiovascular exercise - like running, jogging, etc. can decrease your testosterone because of the increase in your stress hormone, cortisol. TWO things you do NOT want to do. One of the best forms of exercise for increasing your testosterone is lifting weights. However, too much of that isn’t good either. About 3-4x weekly, no more than an hour is just the right amount to increase your testosterone and help improve your libido and sex drive. The Non-Exercise, Exercise However, today I’m NOT going to discuss anything about lifting weights, cardio, etc. I’ve done that in the past. What I want to talk about is a very simple “non-exercise”, exercise... that you can do RIGHT NOW, while watching this video and that’s called, the Kegel Exercise. I call this the “non-exercise” exercise because it requires no gym, equipment or even real movement. Now, some of you may have heard of this. Unfortunately most do it incorrectly. Kegel exercises are done to strengthen the perineal muscles. To “flex” this muscle, it’s very simple. One way to describe how to do it is, by contracting your anus muscle, as if you’re trying to hold in gas. Go ahead and give it a try now... Another way to do it is stop peeing midway through. Thus, as you’re peeing, “contract the muscle” that will STOP the pee, midway through. That’s it - that’s a kegel exercise. Super simple, but extremely effective. You can literally do it anywhere, anytime and nobody would know. Sets & Reps You should do kegel’s about 3x a week to start with. Over time, slowly build up to 5x weekly. Just don’t do it every single day because like any muscle, it requires rest to gain strength. Contract the muscle (holding in gas or stop peeing) and hold for 3-5 seconds. Relax for 1-2 seconds. That’s ONE repetition Do this 10 of these, for 10 repetitions. That’s ONE set Do one set of 10 repetitions, 3x weekly. Then maybe the next week do 2 sets of 10 reps and work up to 3 sets of 10 reps, 3x weekly. You can do it all at once, or break it up 2-3x daily. Nothing it set in stone. What matters is consistency, persistence and patience. Benefits There lots of benefits when this muscle is strong Stronger, full erections Last longer, more stamina and the prevention of premature ejeculation. Stronger orgasms. Healthier prostate. Improvement for those who have overactive bladder or urinary incontinence. How To Improve Results Of course, doing the right exercises is a great start. It seems that finger size, or more specifically, finger ratio, correlates strongly with “higher” testosterone levels, as well as better success in a variety of sports.1 As you see in the picture above, the one of the left side - the ring finger is longer than the index, “pointer” finger. This means higher testosterone levels. Now you might think I’m making this up, but I’m not. Scientists have long noticed that men’s ring fingers are generally longer than their index fingers. With women, it tends to be the reverse: their index fingers are usually longer. They’ve called this difference in length between the index finger and ring finger the “2D:4D ratio.” 2D stands for “second digit” — that’s your index finger, and 4D means “fourth digit” — your ring finger. So if your index finger is 2.9 inches long and your ring finger is 3.1 inches long, you have a 2D:4D ratio of .935 (2.9/3.1 = .935). A longer ring finger compared to your index finger is considered a “low 2D:4D ratio.” Oddly enough, the ring finger seems to have a higher number of receptors for testosterone during early fetal development. Thus, the ring finger grows in proportion to the amount of testosterone produced. The more testosterone produced, the lower the eventual 2D:4D ratio. Interestingly, the 4th digit of the right hand is more sensitive to fetal testosterone than the ring finger of the left hand, so use your right hand to appraise your Testosterone levels. A longer ring finger is merely a biomarker of high levels of fetal testosterone, and this early surge of testosterone is instrumental in influencing the growth of not only the brain and heart, but also muscle and bone, all of which are vital to sports performance. However, I want to point out that even though this has been scientifically proven in 1980, 1998 and again in 2011.. This doesn’t necessarily indicate where your testosterone levels are right NOW. Keep your workouts short. No more than 30-45 minutes. No more than 3-4x weekly. Don’t kill yourself. You should leave the gym feeling GOOD and refreshed. Not as if you just got done wrestling Kingkong and you’re dead tired. Take vitamins and herbs after your workout, that are clinically proven to reduce cortisol and increase your testosterone. And one of the simplest ways to do this is to take Vitamin C. Recent research shows that taking about 500 mgs of Vitamin C, before AND after your workout,1 can Decrease your stress hormone, cortisol. It’s one of those “health foods” that is misunderstood. Chia seeds are tiny black seeds from the plant Salvia hispanica, which is related to the mint. Chia seeds were an important food for the Aztecs and Mayans for thousands of years. They utilized them for their ability to provide sustainable energy. In fact, "chia" is the ancient Mayan word for "strength." In recent modern days, the Chia Seeds are considered by many to be a “super food”. Some people even call them one of the healthiest foods on the planet. And if you take a look at the benefits, you can see why: Benefits & Pros of Chia Seeds They’re very high in fiber, which is good for a healthy colon and it can keep you full for longer periods of time. This also helps with weight loss. They high in calcium, magnesium and boron, which is important for strong bones. When mixed with water, they form a gel that aids in digestion. They’re high in important omega 3 fats… which I’ll discuss in further details in a minute, because it can actually be a negative aspect of this benefit, specific for chia seeds. It’s well balanced in the macro nutrients because it contains a good ratio of fats, carbs and proteins. It’s also good if you’re worried about blood sugar. It has a low glycemic index and load and it also contains no sugar. … so all in all, you can see why it really is very healthy. Cons & Warnings of Chia Seeds So, let’s discuss some of the potential “cons” and I’ll end with a important warning. Some people are allergic to chia seeds. Sometimes it’s subtle and other times it very evident. And I’ll tell you why this happens in a minute. But pay attention to symptoms and signs such as rashes, hives, and watery eyes. There are also those common ones which are usually related to foods in general, such as trouble in breathing, vomiting, diarrhea, and swelling of the tongue. Another problem is stomach and gastrointestinal problems, such as gas, bloating and constipation. Something else that most people don’t know is that Chia seeds can thin the blood and can also lower blood pressure. Which can actually be a benefit if you suffer from poor circulation and hypertension. But if you don’t, it could cause you to pass out or become fatigued. And the biggest problem I’ve realized is that despite the fact they are high in omega 3 fats, which are typically anti-inflammatory... Chia seeds actually INCREASE inflammatory markers and this because of 2 reasons. Poor Conversions Omega 3 fats are best consumed from fish sources - food or oil. But vegetarian sources such as seeds, like Flax or Chia, typically only contain alpha-linolenic acid (ALA). ALA is not as active in the body and must be converted to two other forms of omega-3 fatty acids — eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) — to have the same health benefits as fish omega 3’s. Unfortunately, your body’s ability to convert ALA is limited. Only about 5% of ALA is converted to EPA, while less than 0.5% is converted to DHA. And the older we get, the worse the conversions. Thus, just because it’s “high” in omega 3 fats, does NOT mean your body converts and utilizes it. However, if you don’t want to have any fish products, then these vegetarian sources is all you’ve got - but you’ll need a higher dosage to get the same benefits of fish oils. Higher In Lectins The second reason for the inflammation is because they are higher in lectins. And lectins cause inflammation, irritable bowel syndrome, decrease the immune system, exacerbate autoimmune conditions and lots of other negative things. However, Chia seeds are not super high in lectins, it’s more of a “medium high” food. So, if you want to eat them, don’t go overboard, less is best. In that video I explained what to eat and I quickly mentioned how you should NOT eat peanuts. I’ve actually mentioned this in a couple of other videos. Well, I got lots of questions as to why this is and how can peanuts be bad for you, since they have good fat, lots of protein, vitamins and minerals. And this is a fair question and let me answer it quickly. To begin with, peanuts are not “nuts”, they are legumes and thus, part of the “bean” family. Most people don’t know this. As to why you should avoid peanuts, there are few important reasons. ALLERGIES To begin with, some people are deathly allergic to peanuts. For a small percentage of the population, peanuts can literally kill them. (1). Of course, the majority of people aren’t AS allergic to peanuts, but if you ate enough of them, long enough, the allergens start to build up and you WILL have allergic reactions, even if they are mild and subtle. It won’t kill you, but it won’t improve your health either. Macronutrients The next thing is that people will say that peanuts are a healthy food because it has carbs, proteins and fats. But the protein doesn’t contain all the essential amino acids. The next problem is the fat content - it’s fairly high in Omega 6 fats and linoleic acid. Omega 6 fats cause inflammation and many diseases - heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, fat gain, cancer, autoimmune diseases, etc. They also compete with the healthy, omega 3 fats - which is NOT what you want. Aflatoxins Most people don’t know, but peanuts actually grow underground, where they tend to be colonized by a fungus called Aspergillus, a source of aflatoxins... which are toxic and highly carcinogenic (cancer causing). Humans are actually fairly resistant to the acute (short-term) effects of aflatoxins, but unfortunately continued exposure does cause a buildup. Additionally, fungus grows on its own and thus, even if you stop eating peanuts the fungus continues to grow inside of you and over time becomes toxic. Studies in humans link aflatoxin exposure to liver cancer, stunted growth in children and mental retardation (8, 9, 10, 11). This is very important for all your parents giving your kids peanut butter daily. I suggest you STOP! High In Lectins Peanuts are also high in Lectins, which is bad for your health -- Again, causing all the typical problems of diseases, inflammation, weight gain, memory problems, joint pain, diabetes, etc., etc. Healthy Alternatives Peanuts and nuts taste yummy, there’s no denying that. Especially when roasted and lightly salted. And in small amounts, eaten occasionally - they should be fine for most people. However, I suggest you switch to other nuts, especially if you are giving your kids peanut butter. For me, it’s like desert. Sometimes I eat frozen bananas, cherries, mangos, pineapples and other tropical fruits. I just slowly eat the frozen fruit and you don’t need anything else with it - no extra sugars or toppings. Fruit has lots of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Unfortunately, there’s a LOT of wrong information about fruit and more specifically about the type of sugar found in fruit - which is called Fructose. YES, “man-made”, HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP is bad for you. This type of sugar is concentrated and usually found in soda, candy, prepackaged foods, fruit juice, agave nectar, syrups, and other sugary foods. It’s cheap to produce and it’s addictive. HFCS is a major contributing factor to 1 Insulin resistance and diabetes Obesity and belly fat High blood pressure High cholesterol and triglycerides Inflammation and fatty liver disease However, this is NOT the type of sugar I’m talking about today. Basically - Don’t eat High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS). Just read the label and if it’s in there, don’t eat the food. But eating natural, WHOLE food fruit (not fruit juice) has many health benefits and doesn’t have the negative problems of HFCS. However, there are a couple of things I want to mention. About 100 Calories of Less Fructose is metabolised primarily in your liver and thus, has limited storage capabilities. Unlike glucose, which is found in grains for example, can be stored more in your muscle cells and thus, a lot more can be eaten before it’s converted to fat. So try to limit your fruit to about 100 calories daily or 25 grams. If you exercise, you can eat more. NOTE: this is especially important for anyone who has high blood sugar or A1C levels, you’re diabetic or you simply want to manage your blood sugar levels better. Fructose does affect these factors more and if this is something you’re concerned about, you can watch another video below about this topic. But, don’t go there yet because I’ve got a couple other important factors to share with you. Best Time To Eat Fruit There are a lot of myths about the best time to eat fruit. Some say first thing in the morning ... some say 30 minutes before a meal because it digests at a different rate than “regular” food … some say in the afternoon…. And many cultures eat fruit at the end of the meal, like a desert. The truth is, there’s ZERO medical or clinical evidence as to when the best time would be. So, don’t worry about this too much. Personally, I like fruit on an empty stomach… like a snack. Or a little after meal, if I’m craving something sweet. And some people, have some fruit before bed with a little bit of fat like coconut oil and it helps them sleep better and longer. So, just experiment. Nothing is written in stone. Best Type Of Fruit Typically, the berries and “thin skin” fruits have higher antioxidants and thus, are better for you. And ideally, you’d eat fruit based on what’s in season. So for example, if it’s summer time - you’d eat more watermelon. I know these days you can get fruit flown in from around the world and thus, anything can be eaten at any time. However, pay attention to what would typically be in season and eat that. Your body will actually digest the “seasonal fruit” better. ======================================== ========================================­ Thank you for watching.
