These so called ‘experts’ list foods such as “special” fruits or vegetables that have lots of good vitamins. Or spicy foods or alcohol because they may increase your blood flow. Or beans or meat because they have healthy protein. Or whole grains because they have fiber and help with weight loss. It’s a lot of “stuff” that *may* help a LITTLE… but they NEVER address the REAL problem and CAUSE of low libido, which is a HORMONAL IMBALANCE! That’s it! If your sex drive and libido isn’t where you’d like it to be or where it used to be. If you have a hard time getting or maintaining an erection. If you’re just not “driven” -- mentally, physically or emotionally -- when it comes to sex or just life in general. Then the problem is hormonal imbalance which typically means: LESS “pro-sexual” hormones - such as testosterone. MORE “anti-sexual” hormones - such as estrogen, prolactin and cortisol So let’s increase the good and decrease the bad. EAT FAT! My cholesterol is going to go through the roof and I’m going to have a heart attack!” Nope, not true. First of all, over 80% of the cholesterol found in your blood and arteries is NOT from foods you eat -- but produced from your LIVER! (1) Cholesterol and saturated fats help produce most of your sex hormones - especially testosterone. Cholesterol helps lower your stress hormone, cortisol -- which does the OPPOSITE of testosterone. In fact, without cholesterol you’d die eventually. And for those of you are are really concerned about having high cholesterol -- the PRIMARY cause of high cholesterol is AGING and the change in your hormones!!! This is why the older you get, the worse your cholesterol levels. This is why women who go through menopause start having high cholesterol. Again, it all comes down to a hormonal imbalance!!! What MATTERS is WHERE you get your fats. Don’t go fry up some bacon and think this is healthy. Most animal and dairy fats are the problem. Heating oils, processed vegetable fats, hydrogenated and trans fats are the problem. Instead, have HEALTHY fats. Have free range eggs WITH the yolk. The BEST way to eat eggs are RAW --- but if you can’t do that, at least keep the yolk runny and soft, which will increase your “good” HDL cholesterol.(2) If you want to have some free range, grass fed meat or bison/buffalo 2-3x a week, that’s fine too. Grass fed red meat has higher levels of CLA fats, which boost testosterone, reduce cortisol, are anti-inflammatory and help reduce many forms of cancer (4) Other than that, I would stay away from most other meats because they’re processed and full of negative hormones such as ESTROGEN, which will LOWER your testosterone and libido. This simple exercise will also help avoid the embarrasing “premature ejeculation”, allowing you to statisfy your parter, better and long than ever before. If you’ve been following my work and watching my videos, you would know that certain exercises can either increase or decrease your libido, erection strength, hardness and even size, because of hormonal changes. If you didn’t already know, testosterone is the primary hormone that increases your libido, sex drive and “muscle size”. Unfortunately, this hormone starts to decrease around the age of 25. However, certain exercises can increase your decrease your testosterone. For example, doing too much cardiovascular exercise - like running, jogging, etc. can decrease your testosterone because of the increase in your stress hormone, cortisol. TWO things you do NOT want to do. One of the best forms of exercise for increasing your testosterone is lifting weights. However, too much of that isn’t good either. About 3-4x weekly, no more than an hour is just the right amount to increase your testosterone and help improve your libido and sex drive. The Non-Exercise, Exercise However, today I’m NOT going to discuss anything about lifting weights, cardio, etc. I’ve done that in the past. What I want to talk about is a very simple “non-exercise”, exercise... that you can do RIGHT NOW, while watching this video and that’s called, the Kegel Exercise. I call this the “non-exercise” exercise because it requires no gym, equipment or even real movement. Now, some of you may have heard of this. Unfortunately most do it incorrectly. Kegel exercises are done to strengthen the perineal muscles. To “flex” this muscle, it’s very simple. One way to describe how to do it is, by contracting your anus muscle, as if you’re trying to hold in gas. Go ahead and give it a try now... Another way to do it is stop peeing midway through. Thus, as you’re peeing, “contract the muscle” that will STOP the pee, midway through. That’s it - that’s a kegel exercise. Super simple, but extremely effective. You can literally do it anywhere, anytime and nobody would know. Sets & Reps You should do kegel’s about 3x a week to start with. Over time, slowly build up to 5x weekly. Just don’t do it every single day because like any muscle, it requires rest to gain strength. Contract the muscle (holding in gas or stop peeing) and hold for 3-5 seconds. Relax for 1-2 seconds. That’s ONE repetition Do this 10 of these, for 10 repetitions. That’s ONE set Do one set of 10 repetitions, 3x weekly. Then maybe the next week do 2 sets of 10 reps and work up to 3 sets of 10 reps, 3x weekly. You can do it all at once, or break it up 2-3x daily. Nothing it set in stone. What matters is consistency, persistence and patience. Benefits There lots of benefits when this muscle is strong Stronger, full erections Last longer, more stamina and the prevention of premature ejeculation. Stronger orgasms. Healthier prostate. Improvement for those who have overactive bladder or urinary incontinence. How To Improve Results Of course, doing the right exercises is a great start. Remember, hormones affect you both physically and emotionally. However, there men who have ED, who have a normal sex drive and “desire”, but simply can’t get an erection or have difficulty maintaining it during sex. What’s interesting is that the newest research shows that men with ED typically also have heart problems.5 Thus, ED is a pre-warning sign that you may have a heart attack or stroke in the future because you have a buildup of plaque and calcium in your blood vessels.5 How To Improve Your Blood Flow The older we get, the worse your circulation becomes. This affects your entire body - from head to your two, inside and out. Remember, your blood contains oxygen, youthful hormones and nutrients to feed all of your cells. So you must improve your circulation for better health and longevity and this first starts with improving your lifestyle. This means: Reduce or eliminate fried fats. Most people don’t know, but exercise actually DECREASES your testosterone levels. This is especially true for “endurance” exercises such as running, jogging, biking, etc. Even though lifting weights can actually INCREASE your testosterone levels, for many people this is temporary. Afterwards, there is a big drop in testosterone. So, why does this happen? Well, there are lots of reasons. Lower blood sugar due to glucose depletion in your muscles, increases your cortisol levels and can cause a decrease in testosterone. Stress on your nervous system (CNS) due to an exhaustive or overly strenuous workout, increases your cortisol and will cause a decrease in your testosterone. Not eating well, being depleted of proteins, fats and carbohydrates, causes stress on your body and again, raises your cortisol and decreases your testosterone. As you see - the common problem is STRESS and the increase in your cortisol hormone. There are 3 ways to fix this problem and reduce this from happening: Make sure you have enough food in your body, before AND after exercise. This means have a good, light meal about an hour or two before exercise. And make sure to eat carbs and protein soon after your workout, to replenish your empty glucose and protein levels. Keep your workouts short. No more than 30-45 minutes. No more than 3-4x weekly. Don’t kill yourself. You should leave the gym feeling GOOD and refreshed. Not as if you just got done wrestling Kingkong and you’re dead tired. Take vitamins and herbs after your workout, that are clinically proven to reduce cortisol and increase your testosterone. And one of the simplest ways to do this is to take Vitamin C. Recent research shows that taking about 500 mgs of Vitamin C, before AND after your workout,1 can Decrease your stress hormone, cortisol. The Shocking Statistics When you think about ED, you typically picture an older guy in his 70’s … Well, NOT that you’re thinking about guys in their 70’s, just that it tends to happen to “older” men. However, ED problems are starting in guys in their mid 20’s. In fact, statistics show that 20% of men in their 20’s have ED, 40% of guys in their 40’s, 60% of men in their 60’s and so forth. The prevalence of complete ED increases from 10% to 15% as age increases from 40 to 70 years. Thus, even though it does affect men to some degree at all ages, after the age of 40 is when the real problems become “common”. In fact, this is called “Andropause” in men, similar to “menopause” in women. And the cause is similar for most everyone, a negative change in your hormones, primarily due to aging. This is due to an imbalance hormones. A decrease in your “pro-sexual” hormones, such as total and free testosterone … Versus an increase in your negative “anti-sexual” hormones, such as female hormones (estrogen, progesterone, prolactin, etc.) and stress hormones (cortisol, adrenalin, etc.) What Are The Causes Of ED? Unfortunately, your penis has a mind of its own and thus, there are lots of causes leading to ED. Different medications and drugs can cause impotence or ED, stress and worry, vascular and blood flow, boredom with your partner, fatigue, illness and of course, the negative changes in your hormones due to aging. What Are The Solutions? The solution has to be based on the original problem. For example, people who have heart disease or diabetes, have vascular and blood flow problems, leading to erectile dysfunction. In this situation, you’d need to improve your lifestyle, eat better, exercise and take the right supplements to help fix this problem and prevent it from getting worse.
