Plantar fasciitis or heel spur is a painful heel condition that makes walking difficult. The females are mostly affected. In plantar fasciitis due to some pathological changes, the calcium get starts depositing on the heel. This results in extra bone growth on the heel. The extra bone growth acts like a nail which impinges the plantar fascia during walking or standing. The most common complaint is: 1: Morning pain which subsides with little walking. 2: Location of pain is usually in the inner aspect of the heel. Waddling gait can be compared to the way a duck walks. A person with waddling gait is unable to bring bending movement at the hip joint and the knee joint. If you are the one who is suffering from neck pain, this video can prove to be immensely helpful to you. In this video we will learn 5 most effective neck pain exercises that can easily be done at home and is applicable to any type of neck pain. These exercises are: Neck strengthening exercises. 1. Strengthening of front neck muscle. 2. Strengthening of right side neck muscle. 3. Strengthening of left side neck muscle. 4. Strengthening of back side neck muscle. 5. Neck stretching exercises. There are many causes of neck pain, but the most common of them is continuous working in front of computer monitor. Cervical spondylitis is also common cause of neck pain. Neck pain is manifested by pain around the neck and shoulder. In severe neck pain, stiffness around neck can develop. So these neck exercises can help you reliving pain and stiffness. If you are suffering from very severe neck pain, take rest for few days until the severe pain subsides. During this rest apply any pain balm over the neck region. Leave it for 5 to 10 minutes and then apply hot pack. For hot treatment, you can apply hot water bag or infra red lamp. The infrared lamp is the one which I usually recommend to my patient. It's easy to use and can be used at home. Once the severe pain subsides, these exercises have to be done seriously. So let us start. Strengthening of front neck muscle. Sit straight in the stool. Keep your head straight by looking straight forward. Now, bring your right hand and keep in front of the forehead. Press the forehead onto the hand and at the same time resist it by the hand. Press it for 10 seconds. You can do this by counting 1 to 10. After holding it for 10 seconds release it. Repeat this for the minimum of 10 times. Strengthening of right side neck muscle. bring your right hand and keep it on the right side of the head. Press the head onto the hand and at the same time resist it by the hand. Press it for 10 seconds. You can do this by counting 1 to 10. After holding it for 10 seconds release it. Repeat this for the minimum of 10 times. Strengthening of left side neck muscle. Repeat the same process on the left side. Strengthening of back side neck muscle. The process is same as other neck strengthening exercise. You have clasp both the hand behind the head. Press the head against the hand for 10 seconds and then release it. Repeat it for the minimum of 10 times. Neck stretching exercises. Sit or stand straight with your neck erect. Keep your head straight by looking straight forward. To stretch the left side neck muscle, hold the head with your right hand. Then pull the head in the right side direction with your right hand. Keep it for 60 seconds and release it slowly. Now repeat this for the other side.

Ok, let me give you 5 sec, try to remember how does and when back started. Does it start slowly or during a jerk, while lifting a heavy weight or bending or twisting? Your time starts now. Did you remember? If you have recollected it then its good , but if not then its ok. It is important because the type of back pain depends upon it. So, without delay lets get started. In general , back pain can be categorised into two type 1: localised back pain 2: back pain with radiation to lower leg. Localised back pain In localised back pain, pain is present only in and around the lower back. These types of pain are usually very old. They develop slowly with the tie=me due to adopting faulty posture. Many times this is also associated with the profession. For example a driver. A truck driver or any other driver need to drive for long hours sitting in single posture. But localised pain can develop instantaneously also. We call it as muscle spasm.. It usually develop during winter season due to cold temperature. Back pain with radiation to lower limb In this type of back pain, pain in addition to lower limb radiated to either of the two leg. It develops instantaneously followed by jerk or lifting a heavy weight or bending twisting. This happens due to the displacement of disc in our vertebrae. We call it as a prolapsed intervertebral disc or a sometimes disc hernia. When disc is displaced it compresses the nerve that passes by it. This nerve is called as sciatica nerve. Sciatica nerve originate from lower back , passes through back of thigh to lower leg. Any compression on the lower back causes pain to radiate down the leg. Patient usually complain of back pain with pain on the back side of thigh and leg. They complain of pulling and tingling sensation. In some cases they have even complained of numbness on the foot. Friends , both type of back pain are harmful and should be dealt with seriousness. The common complain in slip disc is pain on low back and leg. Pulling sensation on back of the leg, tingling like sensation on leg and foot. In severe cases suffere also complain of numbness on foot. It usually happens during lifting heavy weight in a wrong posture or bending forward. During jerk on low back when riding motor bikes or jumping from a height. Slip disc means slip of or displacement of disc from its place. Slip disc is also known by other names such as prolapsed intervertebral disc and disc hernia. Friends, disc gets displaced from its original place. But, what this disc actually is? Where it is present on our body, what are it's function? Disc or Intervertebral disc is present on vertebrae. Our body has 26 vertebrae. When we stand or sit, this vertebrae helps our body to keep it straight and erect. Between each two vertebrae is present disc. These are very soft gel like material which acts like a shock absorber. When we bend, twist or jump, this disc act like a shock absorber and prevent any damage to internal organ. With vertebrae comes the spinal cord. Spinal nerve comes out from spinal cord and supplies to the other body parts like hands and legs. With slightest of displacement of disc, this causes disc to exert pressure upon nerve which results in back pain. In lumbar slip disc, it occurs around low back. The common region are L4-5 and L5-S1. With lumbar slip disc, it exerts pressure on the nerve which comes out of the low back and travels down the leg. This cause low back pain to radiate down the leg passing through behind the thighs and leg till the foot. Friends, prevention and treatment of slip disc is possible.
