You Need This Simple Anti-Inflammatory Smoothie - Green Press

02:04
All right guys. I'm going to show you a recipe that calms inflammation. Now inflammation can be internal. Externally you see it in the form of maybe you've rolled your ankle and it swells up, you see a rash on your skin potentially. With western diet, and a lot of processed foods you're going to be causing a lot of internal inflammation. Some you'll be aware of and some you won't. This is a recipe that really applies to all of us, particularly those that have some nasty junk food habits. I'm going to start off with some pineapple, which is really high in bromelain which is a unique anti-inflammatory. I'm going to put some ice in just to cream this up, make it nice and thick. Spinach, put this in every smoothie you ever make. It has unique anti-inflammatory properties. As does walnuts, just going to put half a cup of those in. Then we're going to turn to the Internet's favorite anti-inflammation sources. Tumeric, so I've used the fresh stuff, and same with ginger. You can use powder, obviously the ratios are going to change subtly, but just get it in there. Raw honey. Despite the anti-fructose movement, and I'm going to upset some vegans with this, but this it's a super food honey. Anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, and anti-viral. My favorite sweetener. I'm going to continue that on with some coconut water. Put that in my blender. Give it another 30 to 40 seconds just to soak up all those walnuts. That should just about do it. I went pretty hard on the ginger here, because I love it but it could even be beyond my tolerance. Pour that in. It's all good. The pineapple, and the walnuts, and then the ginger comes through strong. You have the sweetness. Most importantly the anti-inflammatory properties. How To Make Simple Dill Pickles With Apple Cider Vinegar - Green Press

02:26
All right guys I'm going to show you how to make pickles. Really simple recipe that my chef brother developed. Our version today, we're using dill, cucumbers, apple cider vinegar, maple syrup, fennel seeds and mustard seeds. There's some of the distinguishing ingredients that are going play up the flavors. There's so many different ways you can interpret this. You can use carrots, cauliflower, you can use white wine vinegar, you can use honey, there's so many different ways to interpret this. This is my version, it's so simple, let's get into it. Just going to add in a nice chunk of sea salt there, get that going. Equal portions filtered water as we do apple cider vinegar. Such a great ingredient, apple cider vinegar, it's so harsh so I probably don't enjoy it as much as I should but it's really alkalizing. Generous portion of maple syrup there and we're just going to put this on the stove until it boils. While that's going, while we've got that boiling we want to prepare our cucumbers. I've given myself a head start here with a few pre prepared and I'm going to shove these cucumber batons in. So you can use the discs, you know the traditional burger looking pickle disc but I like the batons. Shove in some dill there, works really well with pickling. Just going to push that down. Sprinkle on our fennel seeds and mustard seeds. So I can smell that apple cider vinegar just wafting through my kitchen. I can also hear the bubbles so I know it's go time. So I don't burn myself I'm just going to put it back into this glass container, help me with my pouring. Fill it up, I want to fully submerge it. I'm going to put the lid on it. I'll come back to the other two. Put the lid on there. I just want it to cool down to room temperature. Once it's there I'm going to put it in the fridge. It's going to stay fresh for a couple of months believe it or not, until I open it then I've got about seven days to get through it. I love coming home to them, sort of 4 or 5 o'clock, pre dinner when I'm famished and I'm about to do some damage through the pantry or the fridge, I turn to these. Also, really good at impressing any guests that you have over. Pull these out with a cheese platter, blow them away. If you want the full recipe, click on the link below. Pregnancy Smoothie | Best Smoothie for Pregnancy | Green Press

02:54
I'm going to show you how to make a pregnancy smoothie. If you're a good partner, then this is something you'll be making the whole nine and a half months, I probably made it twice, because I'm a really bad person. So don't take my lead, but take my recipe because it's fantastic. It's got all of the best nutrients for a pregnant woman, because their needs are very specific. They are incubating a little parasite that just takes everything! So let's get going. We start with some frozen banana. More than anything that's for the creaminess and texture to make this taste delicious. Spinach should be in every smoothie recipe you make. Vitamin C and calcium are the particular nutrients that are going to be beneficial for a pregnant lady. Then we're going to add in some pumpkin seeds. Protein source, very important, healthy bones, growing baby, and there's also essential fatty acids in them as well, and the magnesium is brilliant as well, which is something we are all deficient in, but pregnant women need to be aware of that as well. I'm adding in some tahini here, protein and calcium, another really great calcium source. Then I'm going to go hard core, blackstrap molasses, which a lot of people are going to turn their nose at. Pretty strong stuff. I'm not going over the top with how much I'm using. If you do find it really disagreeable, then I would switch to dates. But the reason we're using that is the iron count is off the chart for blackstrap molasses. A pregnant woman needs 27 milligrams of irons, which is roughly 3 steaks! So unless she's a carnivorous barbecuer, I really recommend getting onto this. It's a really great supplement. I'm going up with some ginger next, that's obviously going to help the nausea component of pregnancy. It's also going to give this a bit of flavor, great ingredient. This is the Einstein ingredient, flax seeds. You can also use chia seeds but we're using this for the Omega 3 count, the essential fatty acids, it really stimulates brain development. Adding in next is some coconut water. Get that going. Again some sweetness. Put a lid on, put that in. Get into it! It's actually pretty decent. The molasses works great with the ginger. Pregnancy partners should definitely be enjoying this together everyday. It covers so many micronutrients and macronutrients that are specific to pregnancy and it's pretty delicious. How To Make A Perfect Peanut Butter Acai Bowl - Green Press

02:19
Good day guys. Peanut Butter Acai Bowl of all time. It has a very loyal following this product. When we had it in our retail store, people would come in every single day for it so we must have been doing something right. Frozen banana and ice, that's going create that texture. We're trying to create ice cream basically, healthier obviously, but much more delicious with our peanut butter as we'll get to in a second. Acai is a freeze dried super food from the Amazon. One of the highest antioxidant sources you'll find. That's optional, you can have blueberries or you can even give that a miss. The real star of the show, obviously peanut butter. To really amplify the properties of a good teaspoon size of peanut butter we're going to use chocolate protein powder. We use Raw Fusion, which is a plant based protein powder, that really works best with peanut butter and works in a variety of ways because it's not too sweet, it's not too synthetic, perfect partner. Almond milk, I'm going to put a bit less than a cup in there and then we're going to blend it. I'm going to use a stick blender. I really like the Optimum stick blenders for this but you can use whatever you've got, you just might have to scrape down the sides and stop and start a few times. So let's get into it. So you can have this as a dessert, you can have this for breakfast, in between meals, lunchtime, this is all day no matter what the weather is. This is as popular in the middle of winter as it is in summer for us. I'm going to put our cereal, Killer Granola, on top of it. Sugar free, gluten free granola that we make. We've got that recipe on our website. Let's get our Instagram game going strong with a little peanut butter dollop there. Look at that, beautiful. More importantly, let's get into it. Perfect. Thick, creamy, indulgent, protein dense, nothing better. Peanut Butter Acai Bowl, if you want the recipe click the link. How To Make The World's Greatest Acai Bowl | Green Press

01:02
Acai (ah-sah-hee) is one of the richest sources of antioxidants on the planet. Cultivated in a tiny region within the Amazon rainforest it has become internationally popular due to the iconic Brazilian acai bowl. Tourists to Brazil and the international surf community are the reasons behind the globalization. We were introduced to acai bowls in Santa Barbara, California several years ago. The common perception of acai is that it has to be bought frozen. Not true. Those frozen packs are filled out with water, they cost more than you need to pay and often contain sweeteners like cane juice. Buy the dry powder instead. It’s cheaper and doesn't cram your freezer. But How Do I Turn Powder Into A Creamy Acai Bowl? The secret behind the texture is actually frozen bananas. You’re basically making banana nice cream with a superfood mixed in for antioxidants and colouring. The recommended frozen pack method is equal parts frozen acai to frozen banana. So we just create our own frozen pack with ice and acai powder. This peanut butter acai bowl is the most addictive creation we have made. If you like chocolate and peanut butter, and sugar free desserts then come on over to http://www.greenpress.co for more recipes. Peanut Butter Acai Bowl Peanut butter and chocolate. In a creamy ice cream texture. With all the flavour of something naughty yet you can enjoy this recipe at any time in the day. Guilt free. How To Conquer Your Hangover With Activated Charcoal - Green Press

01:37
Got a Hangover? This Smoothie Will Get You Out - Green Press You go to yoga, you eat your kale, but somewhere along the way you got a little bit confused and instead of alkaline water you ended up with a bottle of vodka. Next day you're probably not feeling so well. That's when you need my herbal hangover powder to get you through it. This is basically my version of re hydration salts. It's going to get some fluid into you, get some electrolytes back into you. We're improving on it a little bit with some herbal medicine. We're going to have some antioxidants and some herbs to bring down that nausea. Pomegranate and lemon juice dried powders are really easy to find online. They're going to provide the antioxidant and the vitamin C for this mix. They're also going to be the flavor base. On top of that we're adding some ginger because in herbal medicine, we use ginger as an anti nausea type medicine. We start with half a cup of the pomegranate juice powder. To that, it's one teaspoon of the lemon and half a teaspoon of ginger. To that we're going to add just a pinch of sea salt. This is for our electrolytes. To that, we're going to add about three teaspoons of coconut sugar, really, just for taste. I know a natural path wouldn't usually tell you to put sugar in your water, but I feel like this is a special circumstance. In this case we can get away with it. Last but not least, we need citric acid; which is a cousin of vitamin C and some bicarbonate soda. They're actually going to provide a bit of fizz to make this almost like a sherbet when we add it to water. It's half a teaspoon of the citric acid and a full teaspoon of the bicarb soda. Just give it a good stir through. This will store from anywhere up to six months if it's kept nice and dry. You just need one small teaspoon of the powder and some warm or hot water. It'll fizz up. Then just give it a good stir through. The more of these you can get in a day, the better. Not only does that mean more hydration; which is what you desperately need right now, but you're also going to get to a therapeutic dose of that tummy soothing ginger. Cure your Hangover with Activated Charcoal Lot of fun at night and lot of pain in the morning? Try out this hangover smoothie to get you back on your feet. Use: - Activated Charcoal Powder - Piece of Lemon - Coconut Water Have this one every day and your skin will look much younger and more vibrant. Red Sauerkraut Recipe | Green Press

02:52
I'm gonna share with you sauerkraut. This is my recipe. Red cabbage instead of the traditional cabbage recipe. I've got a bit of funk going on here. I'm using red cabbage because it has that amazing colour to it, but it's also such a unique vegetable that I don't get in my diet enough. Along with beetroot, ginger, sea salt I'm gonna create this fermented probiotic rich food that's healthy for my stomach. It's also rich in fiber, Vitamin A, Vitamin K, bunch of B vitamins, manganese, calcium. When you read the list of benefits of this red sauerkraut it's like everything your body needs, it's absurd. So let's get started. We're gonna the red cabbage in here. Beetroot, good for your ticker, it's also full of natural sugars, which is gonna come in handy surely. Put that in there. Ginger, as much as it is for your gut health, I love it for the flavor properties, that's why you see it in a lot of our recipes. It works really good here. Sea salt, I'm just gonna douse it. About 5 tablespoons of sea salt. So I'm just gonna mix that together. You really wanna get in there. This is gonna take a good 3 to 4 minutes of work. I can already feel it getting nice and moist already. So the finer you slice each ingredient, the easier it's going to be, and the more liquid is going to come out. Just going to shove the red sauerkraut into this jar. I really recommend going hard, going 2, 3, 4, 5 times our recipe so that you've got enough of this stuff. So then you can make it once and you're eating it for months. Such as the value, and that's the reason fermented products became so popular in the first place. People didn't have access to fridges and freezers, so they had to use these techniques to preserve vegetables. You just want to push it down. Get it all in there. Seal that up, give it a little shake, and then I'm going to sit that somewhere in room temperature for about a week. I'm going to have to check on it every couple of days. When I do that, I'm just going to crack the lid on it, just to let the oxygen come out and let it breathe. The natural sugars that are rich in these vegetables are going to feed those cultures and that's what's going to create those probiotics. That's what good bacteria is. I wrap it up after about 7 days, put it in the fridge, and by that night I'm getting into it. Soups, salads, reuben sandwiches, you can put it on potatoes. Really flexible ingredient. So healthy for you. There's very few things as healthy as that right there. And so simple to make too. How To Make Outstanding Parmesan 'Cheese' With Walnuts

00:41
Ahh cheese, a vegans one true vice. But when parmesan, saganki, fetta and brie (I’m working on a bocconcini recipe too) can be made using a combination of nuts, water, salt and nutritional yeast then why bother with the inflammation inducing bovine bi-products? Then load up on nutritional yeast and walnuts. This recipe would trick even the most Italian grandmother. And the greatest thing about this recipe is the versatility of it. You can sprinkle it on poached eggs or pasta, or combine it with oats or bread crumbs to make crust for schnitzels. Or even smear a little mustard on a grilled chicken breast or lamb loin and coat with the “parmesan”/oat crumble. We know, that last one isn’t vegan, but hey, maybe you’re just looking to cut dairy from your diet! This recipe is only 3 ingredients and takes all of seconds to blend together. And then you can have vegan parmesan cheese for any and all of your recipes. Here’s a great addition to your fridge, that’s simple, savoury and beyond satisfactory. http://greenpress.co/blogs/news/87233350-how-to-make-walnut-parmesan-cheese-green-press-youtube For more clean recipes with plenty of flavour then get your browser to http://www.greenpress.co Stalk GREEN PRESS on: Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/lovegreenpress Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/greenpress.co Download our FREE smoothie guide: http://greenpress.co/pages/how-to-be-a-smoothie-criminal

How To Make A 10 minute Cauliflower Stroganoff

00:42
Back when I was a young fella, Mum used to put together her beef stroganoff. It was a weekly staple and a favourite amongst my two brothers and me. However, reflecting back, it probably wasn't the most nutritious combo. Beef, white rice, mushrooms and a sour cream sauce. I thought I'd take the Russian recipe and put some Green Press touches on it. Mum's formula was probably a little more Boris Yeltzin. Mine's a little more Putin. We’re remixing the Russian favourite without meat or empty white rice. Cauliflower comes through again! In our interpretation we’ve upped the health factor quite a bit, adding kale, tomatoes, and vegetable stock rather than the sodium filled original. Once your healthy cauliflower stroganoff is plated, we recommend adding a dollop of cashew cream and fresh lemon for a creamy touch. You can find our recipe for vegan cashew cream here: http://greenpress.co/blogs/news/19200915-our-famous-vegan-cashew-cream-recipe If there is anything better than a healthy recipe, it’s a fast recipe. This cauliflower stroganoff has all the flavor as the traditional, but is a cleaner recipe, and takes only 10 minutes to make! So when you’re trying to figure out what to make tonight, or staring at your boring grocery list, grab these simple healthy ingredients instead. Your body will thank you, your taste buds will thank you, and you’ll look better naked. Which, isn’t that what we all want? How To Make Healthy Saganaki with Gremolata

01:37
I came across a food truck in north Melbourne that had a saganaki and pickled sweet potato on a rocket bagel, and I thought, "You know what, I can make this. I can do it better, and I can do it vegan." All it was was just using soaked and activated cashews, some sea salt, sesame oil, extra virgin olive oil, got some nutritional yeast there which is amazing, some garlic, and lemon juice as well just to give it a bit of a tang. It was super easy to make, just blend all those ingredients together. Give it a pat, give it a bit of a work, as long as you get that smooth consistency. When it's done, pour it out onto a pre-greased tray, and chuck it in the oven at about 200 degrees for eight to 10 minutes. Then as soon as it's done, cool it down, and then when you're ready to serve, portion it up, and just grab that brûlée gun and just blow torch the hell out of it. A great addition to the saganaki is gremolata or salsa verde. Just want to grab the oil, your garlic, make sure it's minced. I like to use a microplane or a zester just to get it nice and fine and pasty. You want your lemon zest, your parsley, coriander, and some mint. Give that a blitz as well, put it in the freezer, let it sit aside, and you can drizzle that on top. Bit of a lemon , and that citrus is going to cut through the saltiness of the dish. Chuck some coconut bacon on there as well. It's a nice little addition, it gives it a bit of crunch, a bit of texture. Dairy free and delicious. 02:06
Regardless if you're a CrossFitter, a yogi, a Pilates nut, whatever kind of training you're into, really, everybody's looking for that secret something that's going to help improve their results or boost their performance a little bit. This is a little all-natural pre-workout powder that I make at home that combines matcha green tea powder, lemon juice powder, and two thermogenic herbs, so that's cayenne and ginger. There's a lot of historic use and even recent use that suggests that these herbs might help lift metabolism, increase heat in the body, and maybe even burn a little more fat. Green tea is chock-a-block full of catechins and xanthine derivatives, which are also really useful for immune stimulation. Today, we're harnessing its metabolism and fat-burning powers. We'll start with five teaspoons of the matcha green tea powder, and to that we're going to add one teaspoon of the lemon juice powder. Then half a teaspoon of dried ginger. Just a large pinch of the cayenne. Just give that a really thorough stir through. That should give us enough for about one week's worth of workouts, and you can use the powder any way you would use matcha green tea powder normally yourself. As for me, I like a little bit of ice, some water, and straight onto the blender. It's as easy as that. Slam this down on the way to the gym, and you're good to go. How To Make A Healthy Cup Of Coffee - Green Press Healthy Coffee

02:07
All right guys, I'm going to show you how I have my coffee. Very simply, avoiding any dairy so, I don't have to get into this milk discussion, no sugar, all I'm using is cinnamon. Done. That's me almost every day. I try to have a little bit of a break. That's how I prefer to take my coffee. Antioxidant rich and delicious. Hipster approved as well. Today's a bit of a serious day. I'm showing you a bunch of these videos. I need to exuberate energy all day. I'm going to do that by creating my version of a bullet proof coffee. Instead of going for grass fed butter and MCT oil, the high fats that are recommended in the paleo version of this popular coffee, I'm going with coconut oil and cocoa butter I put in there. I'm just putting in some cinnamon as well, for the flavor. The coconut oil contains MCT oil and it just gives me ... I feel sharper. There's some studies that it increases cognitive performance. The cocoa butter, anti inflammatory, antioxidant rich, really creamy, full of good fats, it's also good for dopamine and serotonin. I feel better after I have some. All I'm going to do is blend that up for about 15 seconds. It doesn't take long. Just need to get the cocoa butter ... Should be about it. It's really quite filling. With all that fat in here it's almost a meal replacement. I like to have this in the morning, eight o'clock, 8:30AM. That'll sustain me well through lunch feeling really good. Three or four hours, feeling really sharp, getting things done, ticking stuff off that to-do list. Today that'll be plenty of these videos. The cinnamon just makes it taste delicious. There you have it. My two versions of coffee. Lone black with cinnamon or the big and bullet proof. How To Kill A Cold Naturally (& Quickly) - Green Press Cold Killer Recipe

03:14
All right, guys, my cold killer recipe. I hit this up anytime I feel the first few symptoms of a cold coming on. As soon as I feel that tickle in my throat or start feeling a little lethargic or some congestion, I turn to this. As would a lot of people, straight for the lemon and the ginger. Go hard, as much as you can tolerate when it comes to those two ingredients. I've got one fully peeled lemon and a bunch of ginger. Coconut water because obviously, I want to hydrate myself, lots of electrolytes. You probably, if you're under the weather, you don't really want to hydrate and drink so go hard on the coconut water. Then, I'm going to add in some honey, raw honey. Fantastic when you're run down, antibacterial and antiviral, really going to strengthen your immune system. That's the starting point. I normally have a couple of those in a day. What I'm going to do just to escalate it further is use our Forever Young. We actually use this as an anti-ager because of the collagen and the vitamin C combination, but the vitamin C is so strong that I use it whenever I'm run down as well because we use Camu Camu and Kakadu plum, the two highest sources of vitamin C. They're just going to take that lemon to the next level. I'm just going to blend that up together. You can do a variation of this as a juice. I prefer to get all of the nutrients and fiber from the lemon so I like to go with a smoothie. It's not really a smoothie, but the blended version. Now make no mistake about it, I'm making this for purpose. This isn't some exotic smoothie to impress someone or to convert a healthy skeptic. I'm making this to get over a cold and to really give my immune system some support. That's our cold killer. Before I hit that up, I'm going to turn to apple cider vinegar. Now I could put that in my blended mixture, but it's so potent and it has so much of an impact on the flavor that I'm going to be a bit of a hero and knock that back as a shot and then wash it down with that because that tastes a bit better than that does. Excuse whatever faces I make when I knock down the apple cider. Oh, haven't done that for a little while. It's worse than Jameson. Wow, that's seriously burning. I wash it down with my cold killer. A full lemon with coconut water tastes better. That tastes like heaven after the apple cider. That's your combo. You've had the apple cider to not only alkalize your system, but that's going to provide some support to your gut, really get the good army going there to fight whatever conflict you've going on internally and then, we've got our vitamin C combo here, our cold killer. I hit that up a couple of times in a day. As soon as you feel a flu or something coming on and you're going to knock it over before you have to go and see a doctor. That's it. Cherry Bomb Dessert | Green Press

01:25
Cherry Bomb! This is my favorite recipe to make after dinner, because there's not consequences to it. Starting off with some natural raw cherries that have just been pitted and frozen. High in Vitamin C and then I'm going to make chocolate. So this is just a chocolate cherry recipe. A little bit of honey. Try not to overdo that, but antivirant, antibacterial. Now I'm putting in some cocoa and honey. Chocolate is done. Now I'm just going to add a little bit of filtered water and blend that together, you can use any blender for this combination, very simple, very gentle. This one's a bit runnier because I've used filtered water. Sometimes I try to make it a bit creamier. Runny cherry consistency. I'm going to put a dollop of greek yogurt on top. Good probiotic in, a little color contrast, a little protein and away we go. So good. Chocolate and cherries, the winning combo. Cherry bomb! Adults Only Cocktail: The Cold Pressed Mojito - Green Press

00:44
Adults Only Mojito Cocktail A green cold pressed cocktail. Detox meets retox in one delicious green juice recipe. We made the clean version but had to make a cocktail alternative. Adding Mount Gay rum which reminded us of an amazing vacation we took to Barbados. This clean cocktail is hangover-proof. Whilst the rum is going to compromise your beautifully alkaline interior, all the other ingredients are going to detox you. Lots of spinach, kale and lime. Plus mint is a calmative herb, providing digestive relief. And we use lots of mint. Handful after handful is going to create a delicious recipe. Little apple, and you can go harder than two limes. Sugar-free stress relief. If you make this while entertaining at home you are an absolute #boss, clearly the social leader of your group. This recipe is perfect for entertaining guests in summer. Little backyard barbecue, a salad with mango and a couple of cold pressed mojitos. Nothing better. Just drink a little water that night and you'll wake up fresh enough to hit the gym or conquer your to do list. Want to know more? How To Make Cashews Taste Like Melted Cheese | Green Press

00:51
This cashew cheese recipe is the vegan alternative to your favourite dairy. Simple, nutritious, delicious. Get the recipe at: http://bit.ly/GPcashewcheese Our recipe is 8 ingredients long, but only has 2 steps! You won't find a better tasting cheese alternative, or a simpler one. Vegan, raw, tasty melted cheese sauce. After some trial and error and a bit of finger licking, I got this recipe right where I wanted it. It’s bold, it’s rich and it’s yellow. Homer Simpson himself would be jealous and salivating at the sight of this one. How To Make Cashew Cheese Traditional milk and cheese is no good for you. The latter might be delicious, especially when melted, but it creates acidity and inflammation. As numerous studies have shown, it actually depletes your calcium storage rather than add to it. Thats due to the acidity of animal protein. It's time to look for dairy free solutions. Ones that are simple and actually good for you. Our serving suggestions? Atop some steamed vegetables with roasted almonds is my favourite. How To Make A Deliciously Simple Chia Seed Pudding | Green Press

01:42
All right guys I'm going to show you how to make an amazing chia pudding. We have first started up with some blueberry marmalade and cereal killer granola. Just for photo purposes and because it's delicious, but forget that. The MVP is our chia pudding. We've made that with our holy water, which is homemade nut milk. All we've blended together and filtered is coconut flesh and coconut water. I'm going to put a cup of that in here. We've pre-made that. If you want the full recipe that's also on the blog. We're adding a cup of that to three tablespoons of chia. If you haven't read all the blogs that perpetuate the properties of chia, very dense in protein and Omega-3s. I first found out about it by reading Chris McDougall's book, Born to Run, which is a fantastic book about an ancient tribe in the Mayan desert, in the Copper Canyons actually in Mexico. They run off this stuff. This is an ancient super food with so many medicinal properties. I'm just stirring three tablespoons of that in. The chia seed loves to sit at the bottom so I just want to keep it moving. I'm going to stir it probably for 30 seconds, once every 15 minutes, three or four times. I'm going to keep it in the fridge between that and afterwards. The chia is just going to absorb all that liquid, the holy water liquid, take on the flavor properties and expand. Then it's going to come out looking like that bad boy there. I like to make a big batch of it so that I can make three or four of these to get me through the week. Great for breakfast, great for dessert, great for lunch, great for between, very versatile meal. So tasty and so nutritious. How To Make Kimchi Like A North Korean | Green Press

01:02
You can go vegan/crustacean friendly with this recipe using red bean curd/miso paste instead of shrimp paste. However, vegan fish sauce contains more chemicals than a bottle of shampoo, so it’s best to get organic quality ingredients without the msg (additive 621). This is an easy recipe and takes very little time to prepare, though allow a few days for it to ferment... Why Would You Eat Fermented Cabbage? It's not for the faint hearted. The delicate. Pungent and potent is an understatement. I mean, it has fish sauce. That said, it's as nutritious as it is flavourful. I love dishes with personality that help me out internally. Kimchi, and all fermented foods, have been trending big time the last few years. The probiotic properties are famous for helping out your digestive system. Fermented foods contain bacteria, yeasts and fungi, which sounds like something that would make you sick, but it's the opposite. These live micro-orgasms represent the home team. How To Make A 3 Minute Hummus - Green Press

01:39
All right, here's my simple untraditional hummus recipe. I'm getting rid of the garlic, I'm getting rid of the tahini because I don't think it improves the flavor. Primary ingredient, chickpeas. You can used the canned stuff, these have been soaked and cooked. Lemon juice, put that in. Sea salt, pepper, and olive oil of course. That'll do there. I'm just going to put a bit of water in just to help this nutri-bullet. Put them together. That should do it. I reckon I fluked it, consistency looks right the first time. I have a beautifully pre-prepared board. Look at that. Serious overflowing hummus. Paprika, get a little fancy with it. Look at that. Plop that on the middle, there we go. Never been easier. So much healthier and cleaner and simpler than anything you buy in a supermarket. Our hummus recipe, grab all the details, click the link. For the full recipe visit: http://greenpress.co/blogs/news/82961990-hummus-the-10am-or-3pm-problem-solver Hummus, or houmous, is your perfect inbetweener. The 10am or 3pm problem solver. One thing that surprised me is just how nutritious chickpeas (aka garbanzo beans) are. Seriously dense. Chickpeas are rich in: - protein - fibre - iron - magnesium - thiamin - folate - phosphorous - manganese - B6 - copper - zinc - potassium They're monsters! As soon as I found out how healthy chickpeas I've started going through them every week. This hummus recipe is my go to every time people pop around to the house and I'll also whip it up in the afternoon when I'm craving something unhealthy. The protein in this hummus just shuts your stomach right up. It's also such a great way to get another serving of veggies in as well. I love dipping with any combination of: carrots cucumber green beans celery .. So yeah, hummus is supposed to contain tahini and garlic. But I just don't think it improves the flavour. Try this version and let me know if I'm wrong. 3 Minute Hummus Recipe Ingredients Canned chickpeas - 1 can (400g) Olive oil - 2 tablespoons Lemon juice - squeezed from one lemon Water - 3 tablespoons Sea Salt - heavy pinch Pepper - pinch Optional Cumin - 1/2 teaspoon Paprika - 1/4 teaspoon Method - Open chickpea can, drain water and rinse - Add all the ingredients to a nutribullet, blender or food processor - Scrape into a bowl and drizzle on another tablespoon of olive oil - Drizzle with 1/2 teaspoon of paprika to Instagram your spread

How To Make A Mojito Cold Pressed Juice - Green Press

00:39
This green juice recipe uses a mojito as inspiration for a detoxing juice with lots of flavour. Inspired by the universal cocktail, we wanted to make a cold pressed juice that was just as refreshing. But with no sugar, using just a little apple for sweetness. Mission achieved. If you love green juice, green smoothies and sugar free desserts then come on over to http://www.greenpress.co for more recipes. Mojito Cold Pressed Juice Recipe You don't need a vacation to feel fresh and get glowing skin. Remix the traditional cocktail with your cold pressed juicer. This recipe uses the infamous mojito ingredients and adds more green leafs. No rum and no sugar. The latter would be a relief, the former might not :). The key to nailing this cold pressed juice recipe is mint. Go crazy on the mint. They need to drown out all the spinach and kale bitterness. And go hard on the limes. We only use two but you can crank it up. We also go light on the apple here but if its too green for your tastebuds then add an extra organic apple. Want to know more? How To Make An Anti-Ageing Green Smoothie

This green smoothie recipe uses anti-aging ingredients to detox your liver and create glowing skin. Apparently they're both on point. As is this smoothie. We went through our research article on what ingredients make you look and feel younger, and we made a smoothie out of the strongest ingredients. Our recipe is even consistent with Max Lugavere's video on controlling your biological age, which you can do with nutrition and lifestyle. Antioxidants, by definition, prevent and remove oxidising agents. These are the elements that naturally age us. When our oxidative stress levels increase (malnutrition, stress, sleep deprivation) we are more susceptible to disease and we age faster. To combat those stresses, we need to load up on green leafs and lemon. These familiar ingredients are notoriously rich in antioxidants. One of which is vitamin C, which not only prevents disease and aging it also stablises the structure of collagen, making our skin youthfully firm. Want to know more? How To Make Perfect Poached Eggs | Green Press

01:01
Like pimpin', poaching eggs ain't easy. So pay attention to Chef Miles' recipe for perfectly poached apple cider eggs. A friend of mine once cooked his girlfriend poached eggs for breakfast in bed. He got a pot, added vinegar and pickled those suckers. No water, just a pot of vinegar. To this day, that is still a better effort than some qualified chefs I know. So, to help you guys out, we’ve developed the PERFECT poached eggs recipe. Seriously, it’s so easy anyone can make perfect poached eggs. Which also makes you look really impressive, because poaching eggs isn’t easy. Recipe might not be the right word for this one, in fact, it’s more like “instructions.” It only takes 4 ingredient, water, eggs, salt, and apple cider vinegar. And it takes 5 quick steps. After cooking the eggs, we recommend filling a bowl with ice water and drop the poached eggs in when they are finished cooking. This helps stop the cooking process and you’re able to make two batches of five, using them all week, whenever you need a delicious protein hit. You can store these poached eggs for 3 or 4 days in a sealed container half filled with water and a tablespoon of salt. We suggest serving these poached beauties on toast with avocado and a touch of olive oil, or on your salads, or even between meals with hot sauce. Better yet, throw one of these bad boys on a crab cake. Betcha didn’t think of that! Give these poached eggs a try and let us know how amazing yours turned out. How To Make A Strawberry Shortcake Smoothie | Green Press

00:42
There are few better fruits than ripe, organic strawberries. Sweet, juicy and one of the best sources of vitamin C. Also a decent source of fibre, plus they taste amazing in our strawberry shortcake smoothie. I love loading up on strawberries during summer and freezing a big bag of them. It is the only way you should eat them outside of strawberry season. Otherwise you're buying imports that have travelled across the world or supporting some pesticide farming tricks. And when you’re trying to eat healthy, pesticide covered foods kind of defeat the purpose. Try not to buy strawberries that are already frozen. For whatever reason, they have as much flavour as cardboard. Plus, who knows where those have been and what quality they are. Fresh is always best; and when you freezer your own, you’re able to handpick the exact strawberries you want to use. Now that I've talked you into freezing your own strawberries, here's what you do with them. Make our strawberry shortcake smoothie. It's sweet, protein rich, creamy and Barbie coloured pink. Everyone’s favourite, right? Who doesn’t love strawberry shortcake? All the flavour comes through in this summer smoothie. Beets are added for some cheeky food colouring (and to help our blood flow). While this is a very summery feeling smoothie, strawberry shortcake is good anytime of the year. How To Make The Workout Smoothie That Gets You Results

01:24
All right, guys, I'm going to show you how to make my workout coffee smoothie. I'm wearing my lulu lemons, so you know it's game time here. Start off with some dirty instant coffee. I do that just despite the aristocratic notion that you need to go to a one armed barista to get a good cup of coffee. I just want the energy hit. I'm going to put a bit of boiling water in here and then my clean carb sources, which are low GI, slow releasing energy sources that are going to keep me going while I'm there. Oats are a great source of protein as well. I'm going to put a splash of raw honey in because I've got a sweet tooth. Just a little touch of that, and then I'm going to top if off with some almond milk. That's it. Put that in my NutriBullet. That should do it. Take that off. I have this 20 to 30 minutes before I go to the gym. You might want to wait a little bit longer, but I find, myself, that that gives me the best release of energy the whole time I'm there. Ah, so good. If you want the full recipe, just click on the link. How To Make An Illegal Brownie Smoothie

00:42
In Australia hemp seeds are deemed illegal. =( Apparently the government cannot distinguish between the stuff with THC and hemp seeds. In fact, brands here have to put a huge sticker on their packaging that says their product is not for human consumption. That’s unfortunate, because hemp seeds are potentially the best source of plant based protein on the planet. Plus they are one of the only plants that contain all nine amino acids. Not to mention all of the omega 3s and 6s they’re packing. You can really boost your health by eating more hemp. And we recommend including them in your puddings, overnight oats, and of course, your smoothies. If you couldn’t tell, we’re not big on rules. Turn your hemp seeds into a Weed Brownie Smoothie. This illegal brownie smoothie takes all of 4 minutes to make, is only 5 ingredients, and packs a mean health punch. So go ahead, break some rules and try out this illegal brownie smoothie. Or maybe you’re not in Australia and you don’t have to break any rules when making this. We promise, it tastes good even when you aren’t breaking the law. Blueberry Muffin Smoothie Recipe | Green Press

02:02
Try out our blueberry muffin smoothie. You'll love it. You can't buy those sugar laded blueberry muffins from your local cafe. They're about as nutritious as a loaf of bread, which in case you didn't know, isn't very nutritious. Keep the familiar flavour and turn it into a veggie dense smoothie with this easy recipe. All right, guys. I'm going to show you one of my favorite smoothies, Blueberry Muffin. Obviously inspired by those blueberry muffins that sit at cafeterias for god knows how long and preserved by god knows what. Anyway, they taste pretty good. But I'm going to avoid that and use those flavor ideas for this smoothie. Lots of kale. Not going to taste that. Lots of blueberries, my favorite frozen fruit to put in there, creamy, antioxidant rich, and then oats. I love a bit of rolled oats. Protein dense, fiber dense, going to keep me full and I like the taste too. I'm going some Greek yogurt, which is the only dairy I eat. It's fermented, so that actually gets rid of the inflammation causes of dairy, so because it's fermented it's not going to do damage to my internal pH system and cause any inflammation and disease. Honey, lots of antibacterial, antioxidant rich, antiviral. Honey, straight in there, just a generous little...very generous teaspoon. Then I'm going to go some almond milk. Put that in, blend it up. Nice and purple already. All right, that should do it. That blueberry purple, taking on the chlorophyll from our kale. Hopefully no chunks, there we go. That's what we're looking for. It's going to get stuck in. Cheers. Delicious. Taste those oats. I can already feel full from that and the blueberries, nice and purple, sweet as well, particularly with that honey. That's it. Then we're going to go with some vitamin E dense and protein dense almonds, straight in there. You can use sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds also work well here. You want the fat soluble content of the almonds, because that's going to hydrate your skin and avoid wrinkles. Some dates to sweeten it up, little bit of fiber too, and some coconut water. That right there is a nine out of ten skin smoothie. If you're having that every day, you're going to look a lot younger than anyone you went to school with. Diet is key to having young skin and vibrant skin and not looking the same age as your driver's license. I've learned that the hard way. When I was in college, I ate horribly, and despite bathing in Proactiv every day, I still looked like a pizza face because that's all I was eating, that and five liter bowls of cereal. All that information just overwhelms your body internally, and that just comes through in your skin. If you want good skin, you have to eat healthy. Doesn't matter what L'Oreal cream you've got, you actually have to take care of your insides. Consistent with that, we actually got in touch with our natural path to create something that is nutritionally backed to enhance it further. We created our own product, which is Forever Young. What we've done here is we've combined the strongest sources of vitamin C on the planet, which are Kakadu plum, found in the northern territory, and then camu camu found in South America. They're off the charts in terms of vitamin C, and the data shows that if you combine collagen with vitamin C over a consistent period, in this case 30 days, you noticeably see results in your skin. That's been proven. That's peer reviewed scientific journals. The Forever Young is optional. You don't have to have that. Get your hands on some collagen and some vitamin C, and you're going to improve the results even further. But just getting a green smoothie every day with some lemon in it is going to put you a long way in front of anyone else. I should say, with the marine collagen, it's made actually out of freeze-dried fish, which sounds horrendous, and I can understand some apprehension, but when you use really high-grade premium wild-caught fish like we do, there's no scent, there's no taste. This is just something that is in there. Your body knows it's there, but your taste buds have got no idea. Here we go. Delicious. Very, very green, but tastes amazing. I could have that every day. How To Make Bar Food Healthy; Ultimate Cauliflower Wings

00:56
Our vegan buffalo chicken wing recipe was inspired by our time spent in New York sports bars. This might be the best thing Miles has ever made. Unbelievable buffalo wings without feeling sick afterwards. Cauliflower has become one of the most versatile foods lately. It is replacing white rice, and now it is replacing actual meat. And ya know what, it’s good! You won't even miss the chicken in these vegan buffalo wings. In this recipe we’ll show you how to prep the cauliflower to make it taste like buffalo wings, plus we’ll give you the recipe to our amazing cashew tzatziki to dip your wings in. Taking this vegan dish from great to phenomenal. OutKast said it back in ’94. There ain't no thang like a chicken wing. Until now... The flavour of America's favourite sportsbar food, only with the nutritional integrity of kale. If you're entertaining at home and want to seriously show off (casually, of course), then this is the go to. How To Make The World's Greatest 2 Ingredient Nut Milk

01:51
All right guys, I'm going to show you the simplest nut milk that you can possibly make. We call it our Holy Water. Two ingredients, no sugar, coconut water, coconut flesh. All you're going to do, put them together, it's a pretty generous serving of coconut flesh, so it looks quite thick, but I'm going to filter it through this nut milk bag shortly, and you'll see it thin out beautifully. You want to give it a good blend, two-three minutes. Should get a little bit of heat there, because when you get the heat it's going to break down that coconut flesh so that the coconut oil will emulsify with the coconut water. My little nut milk bag, you can see I've used this for some tumeric milk before, just give it a little run through the washing machine and it's brand new. I'm just pouring that through, I want to filter out all that flesh, which I can recycle for body scrubs and a whole lot of baking uses as well, so don't throw that away. But this is the best nut milk you will ever make. Couldn't be any simpler, surprising how sweet it is when all that's in it is coconut. I'm just going to pour that through here, and get straight into it. So, so good. Really refreshing, clean. I'm going to show you how to turn it into a chia pudding. I have it with coffee sometimes, I have it as a dessert after dinner, it's quite satisfying as well, so you can have it at 3 p.m. or 10 a.m. If you want the full recipe, click on the link. Full recipe at http://bit.ly/GPholywater Coconut water and coconut flesh. You will not find a better nut milk. Easy, sweet, versatile and delicious. How To Make A Peppermint Cornetto Smoothie Bowl - Green Press

03:36
All right guys, I'm going to show you how to make two of my favorite smoothies. The Green Press formula for smoothies, two cups of greens, a cup of fruit, a protein source, a sweetener, which is optional, and a non-dairy liquid. I'm going to condense that into four ingredients due to the flexibility of a protein powder. I love plant-based protein powders. Coconut and vanilla are my favorite, they're the most versatile. If you can find a brand that isn't too sweet, then you're in the money. We actually found one, and contacted them and collaborated with them to create our own recipe, which added some reishi mushrooms as well, just to crank up a unique, adaptogenic ingredient. I'm going to just put in, this is the equivalent of about half a scoop of our protein powder. Always go hard on your greens. Spinach is my favorite because you can't taste it. Strangely, after I smash these smoothies and get into the habit of it, I enjoy the taste of raw spinach, which I won't do, because you'll hear some chewing. Your taste buds will evolve. When you have this, these sort of beverages each morning, your taste buds are going to evolve and strangely, you're going to crave salads when you never used to. Mixed berries, frozen berries, going to be nice and creamy. Full of antioxidants. Get that going. Some coconut water. Just put that on, Nutribullet, nice and efficient. This little mug that I can just run out the door with. Clip it in. All right, that should do it. Nice and red. Sometimes if you go really hard on the spinach, you're going to create a murky sort of color because of that chlorophyll. We got plenty of red berries in here. Straight to it. Delicious. Fruit and vegetables, can it taste any better than that? Amazing. I call that one the Boss. This is our Lemon Meringue. Spinach, our frozen fruit's going to be banana here, which is obviously a common ingredient for smoothies. I'm going to put a whole lemon in. You read on many blogs and scientifically supported articles that lemon is an amazing ingredient to detoxify in the morning with, but that's normally recommended with lemon juice. Putting a whole lemon in is just cranking that up to the next level. That's really going to process all that bad stuff and lots of vitamin C and nutrients too. Coconut water's my favorite plant-based liquid. Subtle sweetness that comes through and makes this even nicer than it normally would. Just going to shake that. Nice and creamy. Should be really filling, particularly with that protein source. Keep me out of trouble as the day goes on. It's so tasty, that lemon. It doesn't taste overly sour, it's like having a lemon dessert, particularly with the protein powder. Lemon Meringue smoothie, the Boss. Easy, four and five ingredients, what's to it? Take me three minutes to put those two together, so couldn't be any easier. Best way to get fruit and vegetables to start your day. For both recipes, click on the link below. Peppermint flavoured choc chip ice cream. It's not going to turn heads or win innovation awards but it's a proven winner. I used to love Peppermint Cornettos. Or Drumsticks. I wasn't loyal to either. Anything with peppermint and chocolate chips. Especially that final bite at the bottom of the cone. Where you get waffle cone meets hard chocolate meets peppermint ice cream. So good. Naturally, I've copied that flavour pairing and made it healthy. The mint choc chip smoothie bowl with real ingredients. And actual nutrition. Calmative mint. Great for digestion. A cup of antioxidant rich spinach for a cheeky serve of vegetables. It's also great as a food colouring, pairing up with mint to create our peppermint green. You could also add in spirulina for that extra nutritional and colour pop. And cacao nibs brings the chocolate chips. Dense in magnesium and antioxidants they'll give you energy now and help you sleep deeper later. Peppermint Cornetto Smoothie Bowl Ingredients Frozen banana - 1 1/2 Ice - 1 cup Spinach - 1 cup Mint - 1/2 cup Cacao nibs - 1 heaped tablespoon Vanilla protein powder - 1/2 scoop Almond milk - 1/2 cup Method Blend all the ingredients Garnish with granola and more cacao nibs For the full recipe, visit: http://greenpress.co/blogs/news/how-to-make-a-peppermint-cornetto-smoothie-bowl Download our FREE smoothie guide: http://greenpress.co/pages/how-to-be-a-smoothie-criminal Follow GREEN PRESS: Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/greenpress.co Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/lovegreenpress

How To Make The Ultimate Peanut Butter & Jelly Smoothie

00:38
Our 4 ingredient wonder smoothie. Inspired by everyone's favourite sandwich pairing: peanut butter & jelly! The full recipe is found at: http://bit.ly/GPpeanutbutterjelly This one is straight out of the states! Peanut butter and jelly…not exactly your first thought when you’re thinking about nutrition, is it? But before you click to another video, let us defend it. This smoothie is PACKED full of kale. And we know what you’re thinking now….kale? In peanut butter and jelly? Don’t worry, we promise you won’t taste it. Two cups of the most vitamin dense green leaf. This helps with strong bones, healthy skin, healthy hair, immune support, energy, a protected brain and less inflammation. I mean, really, what can’t kale do? For the jelly flavour we’re using mixed berries. Berries are rich in antioxidants, which help protect you against nasty diseases like Alzheimers, diabetes, and even that scary C word. For the peanut butter part, we’re using…good ol’ peanut butter. Peanut butter used to be known as a caloric monster that people should stay away from, but it’s having a backflipping renaissance. Yay! While it’s nutritional profil ehasn’t changed, it’s still generous in calories and high in fat, but we’re recognizing that it’s the good kind! (Think avocados). Plus peanut butter is dense I protein and fiber, not to mention vitamin E, b-6, and magnesium. Don’t go eating it by the jar, but a few teaspoons in your smoothies or on celery is a brilliant way to enjoy its nutritional benefits while calming cravings. This four ingredient smoothie takes 2 minutes to blend up and is rich in potassium thanks to the coconut water. We definitely recommend you start turning your peanut butter and jelly sandwiches into a smoothie. How To Make A Red Velvet Nut Milk | Green Press

01:35
We look for the Nut Milk to be a bit of an outlet for satisfying our sweet tooth, and the red velvet cupcake sort of popped in mind when we're doing a bit of playing around. The ingredients for the Red Velvet Nut Milk, which we came up with the other day is cacao, we wanted that chocolate super-food chocolate base. Coconut flakes were actually what creates the texture. Coconut water brings a bit of sweetness along with the dates. The vanilla bean paste brings that out to the front of your palate as well as the sea salt, really makes it pop. Then we put some beets root in there which is the food coloring agent that makes it red. It's full of nitric oxide, which is great for pre-workout actually, and it's just really good to get your blood pumping. It's pretty simple. Most of the Nut Milk recipes are all the same. All you're doing is getting a decent blender and you're putting all those ingredients in there, blending them for about 30 seconds, and then putting it through a Nut Milk bag. So the reason you use a Nut Milk bag is to separate the pulp from the liquid. It's as simple as that really, because you've got something that is quite creamy and smoothie-like, and you want to make it a bit finer. So you use the Nut Milk bag, which we have on our website greenpress.co and just filter it. It has a lot of different purposes. Also the benefit of that separation is you can reuse the pulp in cooking, there's a lot of ways to recycle pulp from Nut Milks. Download our FREE smoothie guide: http://greenpress.co/pages/how-to-be-a-smoothie-criminal Our cupcake inspired nut milk. All the flavour, none of nasties. Gingerbread Smoothie Recipe | Green Press

01:29
This is my favorite smoothie of the moment: gingerbread! Let's go for it! Frozen banana for creamy texture. Lots and lots of spinach, antioxidant rich, Vitamin C, calcium. Going to a protein powder. You can use any coconut or vanilla plant based protein powder, but I recommend reading through the ingredient list and finding the cleanest one. The one we are using is ours. It's our Green Press version. Add some ginger. We like to go hard on the ginger. You can also use ginger powder if you don't want to use the raw stuff. Nice heap of cinnamon. And to amplify all these flavor properties, some sea salt. Try not to overdue it. You can get yourself into a little bit of trouble, and it will take over. But a perfect little sprinkle is great. Then some coconut water. It's sweet, it's hydrating, and full of electrolytes. Let's get this going! Nice and creamy! It should swallow up all of that frozen banana. This is our favorite recipe! We promise it's the best smoothie you'll ever have. For the full recipe visit: Download our FREE smoothie guide: http://greenpress.co/pages/how-to-be-...
