Tradition and culture are different in every country. That is why some things that are totally normal and legal in one country are forbidden or considered as socially unacceptable in another country. May be it’s smarter to learn about the customs, traditions, and rules of some countries before going there.

Muslim countries are pretty strict when

religion comes to question. That is why

08. EATING IN PUBLIC
It’s generally very impolite and rude to eat in front of someone who is trying not to eat or can’t eat for any possible reason. Well, Muslims in the United Arab Emirates think that
such sort of offense deserves a very severe punishment like imprisonment or paying a large fine. That usually implies to people who eat or drink in public during the holy month of Ramadan.
07. DRINKING ALCOHOL
This is also one of the more conservative sides of Islam… Alcohol is against all the principles of that religion. That is why you should check the laws of the country’s laws before visiting it. For example, in Saudi Arabia, alcohol is completely banned.
06. SAYING SOMETHING BAD ABOUT THE KING
You must not say anything disrespectfully about the royal family if you are staying in Thailand. The respect those people have for their king is something you can’t compare to anything known to the people on the west.

In some Muslim countries, it is even socially unacceptable to kiss in public. If you would do that in Iran, UAE, Qatar, Pakistan, or Oman, you would be punished with fines.

Again, the United Arab Emirates have very strict laws to prevent people from living together before they get married. If you do, you could go to prison. And even so, if you want to stay in a hotel with your partner, you need a marriage certificate.

In Germany, you must not run out of gas while driving on Autobahn. You can’t stop at any point of it for any reason at all!
02. CHEWING GUM
All rules have some purpose and the purpose of this one is to keep the country clean. Chewing gums are not the only thing they have banned. You are not allowed to throw any kind of trash on the streets, to spit, and to smoke in public areas.
01. IMPROPER CLOTHES
Muslim culture forbids anything that could be considered as not modest. Clothes should cover legs and arms, they should be loose, and no one should be able to see your underwear. Almost all the Muslim countries have those kinds of laws but some are a bit liberal, while others tend to be really conservative on that matter.
