This suggests they may be effective in treating people with diabetes. Fenugreek seeds are a rich source of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, which help protect the body’s cells from damage caused by unstable molecules known as free radicals. Soak 2-3 tbsp of fenugreek seeds in a glass of water for overnight and next day early in the morning drink the remaining water, then eat soaked fenugreek seeds. Chickpeas and Green gram: Chickpeas are good sources of fiber, iron, phosphorus, zinc, potassium, magnesium, folate, thiamine, riboflavin and vitamin B-6. These beans are made up of about 27 percent carbohydrates. A 1-cup serving of chickpeas contains 14.5 grams of protein, 4.3 grams of fat and 45 grams of carbohydrates. Although 7.9 grams of these carbohydrates are sugars, another 12.5 grams comes from dietary fiber, which helps limit the effect of chickpeas on blood sugar levels. Green gram, also known as mung bean, Like other beans, the mung bean is a rich source of low-fat protein. One cup of mature, boiled beans contains 14g of protein, 15g of fiber. It contains both insoluble and water-soluble fiber, which together yield varied benefits. Green gram dal is considered low-glycemic. It digests slowly and gradually releases glucose into your bloodstream, stabilizing your blood sugar. Consumption of low-glycemic foods lowers your risk for developing diabetes. Mix 2 tbsp of chickpeas and green gram in a bowl and soak them in a glass of water for overnight. When it comes to food, the golden rule is that brown is better. Brown bread, wheat pasta, whole wheat crackers, and brown sugar - they're all considerably healthier than their white counterparts. But what about brown eggs? Does the color of its skin in this case shell, make it healthier than white eggs? Or just like in the case of people, what's on the inside is what really matter. White eggs are laid by white-feathered chickens with white or light colored earlobes while the brown ones are laid by brown-feathered chickens with red earlobes. You would be correct to assume that there are more white eggs in the market than brown ones but that's because breeding and raising white-feathered chickens is much cheaper. Since they aren't fed as much as their brown counterparts. The reason brown eggs cost more is because they come from chickens that have a big appetite! and also because they're a bit bigger in size. These brown feathered chickens eat more and hence are expensive to keep. A lot of research has been done to identify the difference between brown and white eggs in terms of nutritional value. Expert believes that brown eggs are healthier than white egg and for those looking to get their fair share of protein and at the same time wanting to keep in check things like cholesterol and calories, “brown eggs are a better option”. However Brown and white eggs taste different. But that has nothing to do with quality or nutritional profile of the egg but more with the diet of the chicken that laid it. The chickens are fed a different kind of diet which impacts the quality and taste of the egg. Your kidneys filter excess water and waste out of your blood and that urine needs to go your bladder. Normally, it'll hold 1-2 cups comfortably. But if you make a habit of holding your pee for long periods of time, you can actually stretch your bladder to easily hold even more. Once the bladder stretches, your brain can lose its ability to know when you have to go. That critical message your bladder sends to your brain when it's time to go, can go unnoticed. You could actually pee your pants. Quite embarrassing, but real.! By holding pee for long time, You may also stretch your external sphincter muscles. Those are important muscles connected to the outside of your bladder that are the gate-keepers of your liquid. But if you overstretch them, you can actually lose control. This is rare, and usually takes decades of holding it too long to reach that point, but once you do, it can lead to some awkward or even dangerous situations. When your bladder is overworked, it can affect other things: for example, your pelvic floor. Your pelvic floor muscle is what controls whether or not you're going to keep urine in, or let it out. About half of all women have had a Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) at least once in their lives. These infections occur because bacteria has made its way into the urinary tract, which then causes symptoms like burning, the need to urinate frequently and pelvic pain, among others. But UTI's aren't actually a direct result of holding in your pee. If you don't empty your bladder enough, your body becomes a breeding ground for bacteria which can then cause a UTI. Other organs can become damaged Your bladder connects to your urinary system, which includes your kidneys. The kidneys create urine from the excess water in the blood stream, and by filtering waste. The Kidney and Urology Foundation says that if urine travels back up the tubes that connect your bladder to your kidneys, it can cause infections and kidney damage. The more holding it in becomes a habit, the more you're going to see the problems it can create. It's important to make sure you get to the toilet, not just because of the sheer embarrassment of a potential accident, but because of the fact that some of the health consequences can be very severe, Allow yourself ample time in your day to free your pee.
