Turning Deep Fryer Grease Into Soap!?!? Ft SMOSH Squad

Thanks again Shayne, Olivia, Courtney, and Noah for participating in my experiment! After our last EPIC fail attempt to make soap from a deep fryer, this time I finally got it right! The key was adding a stabilizer (coconut oil) to our deep fried soy bean oil. The grease collection place I got this oil was pretty awesome. It had two 2000 gallon vats of grease being collected to make bio diesel fuel. The actual Asian restaurant this grease was pulled from is being kept confidential because I’m basically breaking all sorts of contracts by using this grease to make soap… but, you know science so it’s cool. Did you guys think this was even possible? I mean, we made real soap from grease that made egg rolls and shrimp tempura! Let me know in the comment section below! Smashed Fingernail Blood Draining: DIY Surgery

SUBSCRIBE!: http://bit.ly/1G97GmA SHARE THIS VIDEO: https://youtu.be/XUAjQqAqooE I was out mining for gold and had to pull a boulder from the hole I was digging in. The way the rock looked, I assumed it was rounded in nature. Turns out it was more like an egg shape so when I pulled it out it became much heavier than I anticipated. The rock fell along with my hand and it smashed my fingernail right on my pickaxe!!! The result was blood pooling under my fingernail in what is called a subungual hematoma. These things hurt SO SO BAD!!!! Legit kept me up all night, could not sleep more than a few minutes. The pain led me to do something I’ve never done before… DIY surgery! I sterilized and heated up a paper clip and burned right through my nail to relieve the pressure of the blood below. The result was INSTANT relief. It took a few weeks for the nail to fall off and it never got infected. I did however wash it and soak it twice a day in soapy water. I hope this video helps people out there who have blood under the nail and need to know how to relieve the pressure! I went to Crater Of Diamond State Park in Murfreesboro, Arkansas and picked a .44 karat diamond right out of the dirt!! At first I thought it was snot, and then a piece of glass, so I had to get it checked out to make sure it was legit. The park as a gem specialist on sight, and sure enough it was a white diamond! The park itself is incredibly interesting. Crater of Diamonds state park is a 371/2 acre plowed field positioned on an eroded 95 million year old volcano, which is also the world’s eight largest diamond-bearing volcanic crater. The park is located in Murfreesboro, Arkansas (population 1,631) and is the only public accessible diamond site in the world. Admission is $10, and you can keep what you find regardless of how much its worth! Gem hunting and gold mining has turned into my new favorite hobby and I go out panning/sluicing for gold every week. GoPro Flight: Throwing A Foam Airplane Off A HUGE Mountain

02:16
SUBSCRIBE!: http://bit.ly/1G97GmA SHARE THIS VIDEO: https://youtu.be/LwX9ugZ8tcs This video features our full flight from the GoPro camera!! I thought the video was just too cool not to show in its full form. Also take note at HOW LONG the flight time is!!!! All we did was throw the foam glider off the mountain! Did this exceed your expectations? Were you surprised at how long it went? Let me know in comment section down below! As a kid I LOVED when my parents took me to a store that had foam gliders. We would always play with them until the wings broke off and could not be repaired with duct tape. However, I always wondered how far a foam glider would fly if it were thrown off of an incredibly high platform… like a mountain!?!@! We hiked up to the tallest point we had access too (Mt. Allen in the Santa Monica Mountains) and threw our glider out into the wind. The result was MIND BLOWING!!! I’m so proud of our little foam glider/GoPro set up. The footage is so beautiful. And the reason all of this is even possible is because of the wing of the plane. The wing has a special shape that allows for “lift”. Lift is generated when there is high pressure below the wing and low pressure above it. The explanation for how this happens is actually very advanced. The full explanation can be found here: http://www.allstar.fiu.edu/aero/airflylvl3.htm Follow Nickipedia Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/nickuhas Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/nickuhas Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/uhasbrand Nickipedia Website: http://www.nickipedia.com Production Team: Writer/Producer: Nick Uhas Editor: Griffin Lewis DP: Sam Mosco Sources: http://www.allstar.fiu.edu/aero/airflylvl3.htm Veritasium: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aFO4PBolwFg http://science.howstuffworks.com/transport/flight/modern/airplanes2.htm

Potato Launcher DIY : Super Dangerous !!!

When my brother and I asked to make a potato launcher with ABS or PVC piping they said no. Well now that I have this channel I thought it the perfect excuse to finally make one! In our next video we go out to the desert to test the FULL POWER of Darth Potato! The engineering on this project is pretty rich. Nothing in this process is quite difficult it’s just you might need some power tools to make the build easier. The one thing I would suggest is to always wait 24 hours for your glue to dry before testing out the potato launcher. You DO NOT want the launcher to come apart because of the combustion. The last thing that I think gets missed a lot in online builds is discussing the ignition source. The igniter is basically a grill igniter. The tricky part is getting the wires in an arrangement that looks like a spark plug for a car. We used hot glue to attach the free wires (positive and negative) to the actual body of the igniter, this made it close enough to make a spark Follow Nickipedia Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/nickuhas Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/nickuhas Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/uhasbrand Nickipedia Website: http://www.nickipedia.com Production Team: Writer/Producer: Nick Uhas Editor: Griffin Lewis DP: Sam Mosco Sources: http://www.instructables.com/id/The-Original-Potato-Cannon/ http://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Potato-Gun http://www.wikihow.com/Build-a-Potato-Launcher

27 Weird Octopus Facts

10:47
SUBSCRIBE!: http://bit.ly/1G97GmA SHARE THIS VIDEO: https://youtu.be/HlgIqSfz1RU Over break I went to Dallas to visit my girlfriend’s family and we started talking about octopuses because her nephew has a recent fascination with them. And as we started talking about octopus I also got curious about them too. I had also just watched Saving Dory on the airplane which had a super cool octopus, a mimic octopus to be exact, as one of the main characters… so I guess octopuses were just on my brain. I then started doing some research, and yea Octopuses are SUPER WEIRD and so here’s 27 super weird octopus facts. 1) first off, plural of octopus is not octopi, but rather octopuses. 2) when octopuses get bored they eat their arms. The technical term of this behavior is called “autophagy”, and is observed when octopuses are in environments that are not very stimulating. 3) All octopuses are venomous. 4) An octopus can change the color of its entire body in just three-tenths of second. 5) They have no internal or external skeleton, which allows them to squeeze into and out of very tight places about the size of their eyes. 20) The only hard part of their bodies is a sharp parrot like beak located where the arms converge. 6) All octopuses have really short life spans. 7) They can withstand terrible break ups because they have three hearts. 22) When an octopus is swimming the heart that provides the blood to the organs stops beating. 10) Octopuses have 8 arms not tentacles. 8) Due to a copper rich protein called hemocyanin that is used to transport oxygen in octopuses, they have blue blood. 21) The male uses a specialized third right arm, called a hectocotylus as its reproductive organ. 9) Octopus parents die pretty quickly after mating. 11) Each suction cup is equipped with chemoreceptors so the octopus can taste what it’s touching. 12) Each arm usually has up to 240 suction cups with one suction cup being able to hold a weight or force up to 35 lbs 13) 2/3 of the octopuses neurons are in its tentacles. So like basically brain-arms 14) Octopuses are super old! The oldest know fossil of an octopus is 296 millions years ago, which is older than dinosaurs by millions of years. 15) Octopus ink is not just to hide from predators. This defensive chemical is so potent that if the octopus doesn’t escape it’s own ink cloud it can die! 16) Most octopuses for human consumption comes from north and west Africa 17) the country that eats the most octopus is Korea 18) According to the UN food and Agriculture Organization about 270,000 tons or 540,000,000 pounds of octopus are imported by different countries around the world. 19) the word octopus comes from the Greek “oktÓpus” which means “eight foot” 23) the typical octopus is 12-36 inches long and weighs 6-22 pounds. However, the giant pacific octopus typically grows 16 feet and weighs 110 pounds. 24) the largest giant pacific octopus was recorded to be 30 feet long and weigh more than 600 lbs 25) the smallest octopus is the Octopus wolfi. Its smaller than an inch and weighs less than a gram. 26) Octopus are classified as carnivores and eat clams, shrimp, lobster, fish, sharks and even birds! 27) Octopuses are considered to be about as smart as the household cat. 28) After the first-ever full genome sequence of an octopus, biologist claimed octopuses could not be compared to any other animal on the planet. Their genome yields an unprecedented level of complexity with 33,000 protein coding genes more than humans. Their DNA also seems to be highly re-arranged with genetic information leaping around the genome. This actually lead people to believe octopuses are alien however other scientists like Charles Mudese said this “no matter how crazy an animal's DNA might appear, it is probably from this planet if its cells contain the energy-generating organelles called mitochondria," 29) When the octopus moves around regardless of the bodies position the eyes remain at the same orientation. Spears Through A GIANT Bag Of Water NO LEAKS

I wondered if it could be applied to a BIGGER situation… so… we made it BIGGER! Turns out the exact same science principle work on a larger scale! The pencils or the dowel rods keep the water from leaking because the bags are made of a polymer. Polymers have long chains of molecules that are flexible. When we poke the pencil (or spear) through the bag, the pencil slides in between the chains of molecules that make up the polymer. The molecule chains make a seal around the pencil and won’t let the water out! Also, I’m super excited to announce our partnership with Cheero USA!!! I love their rechargeable batteries (use them everyday) and am super proud to be working with them! Don’t Put Drain Cleaner In Aluminum Pots

08:11
SUBSCRIBE!: http://bit.ly/1G97GmA SHARE THIS VIDEO: https://youtu.be/9yQvWqqzkOM Drain cleaner has sodium hydroxide (NaOH) in it AKA “lye”. This is the same stuff we use to make soap with and how we got our hydrogen gas for the video where we mixed hydrogen and oxygen in the same balloon. When NaOH mixes with aluminum it creates hydrogen gas and sodium aluminate (this strange grey goopy aluminum looking mixture). If you put pure sodium hydroxide (mixed with water) in an aluminum pot the reaction is AGGRESSIVE!!! It will literally eat right through the pot itself! This is a good lesson to not use drain cleaner (NaOH) to clean kitchen ware if it has aluminum in it… otherwise you'll end up with a huge mess! Note: Sodium Hydroxide is SUPER caustic and dangerous. This Is In My Basement!? Exploring Tar Pits

I’m moving out of this area soon to a new place where I can finally have a real permanent Nickipedia Lab!! So before I leave this part of town I wanted to show you this amazing science phenomenon, the La Brea Tar Pits! What’s really interesting is that the “Tar” pits are actually asphalt pits. And that tar and asphalt are two different substances that come from two different sources. Tar comes from coal, and asphalt from crude oil. Seeing the tar pits one day made me question why my apartment building always smelled like asphalt with some digging around and sleuthing I found out that the building I’m living on is RIGHT ON A TAR PIT!!! In fact the pit is still seeping up oil right in the basement! I wonder how many cool and amazing fossils are down there? AA-Batteries have 1.5 volts… that’s not much when compared to starting a fire with a 9V battery and some steel whole super easily. In this video we basically make a small-scale open source light bulb. The filament is the gum wrapper and when the heat given off due to the electrical current reaches its maximum, it is enough energy to light not only the paper attached to the gum wrapper but also some paper towels we have placed near by. The result… a fire from a tiny AA battery and a gum wrapper. My Nickipediacs are fully trained from survival… go forth into the wilderness! Will The Worlds Rarest Oil Actually Burn?

07:29
SUBSCRIBE!: http://bit.ly/1G97GmA SHARE THIS VIDEO: https://youtu.be/_tzFU-QMtU8 We’ve now extracted our white oil and we now want to put it to the test! Are the historical claims true? Can you really light this stuff on fire and power an oil lamp? We’ve seen no test done in the last 100 years for this white oil, so lets see what happens! The story for white oil is a very intriguing one. A book published in 1900 tells a story of two prospectors who were in search of gold in the Placerita Canyon area. After too many failed attempts searching for gold and only ending up with natural gas filled mines, they began searching for oil. With their first well they struck something the world had never seen. Instead of a thick black oil, their well gushed something totally different, a light amber, kerosene smelling liquid called white oil. 18 other wells were dug in the area looking for this extremely rare new white oil, however the only other well to produce white oil was drilled 100 feet from the original source by the New Century Oil Co. This second white oil producing well was on the property of man named Frank Walker who used the oil in the early 1900’s to power gas burning lamps. Franks grandson George Starbuck claimed to have used the oil to power a Model T Ford. Test from 1900, 1932 and 1967 have proved white oil to be 83.3% gasoline with calculated 73-octane rating. How To Make A Real SOLAR DEATH RAY

SUBSCRIBE!: http://bit.ly/1G97GmA SHARE THIS VIDEO: https://youtu.be/-y9EyAc7Wyc We made a SOLAR DEATH RAY!!!! And you can too! I saw a video from the “King of Random” and thought it was such a good idea I had to try it for myself. The solar death ray is made from taking the Fresnel lens or “magnifying lens” out of older big screen TV’s (the last production models don’t have clear lenses and don’t work as well). Once you have this lens all you have to do is build a frame and get to frying!!! The power of the lens is remarkable. It will light a piece of wood on fire with in seconds and will even melt pennies! It’s estimated that the death ray can get up to 2000 degrees Fahrenheit (1093 Degrees Celsius). We did learn that just like mirrors reflecting lasers the death ray has one weakness… anything that is the color white! golf balls, white sand, white eggs, and flour all reflected the intense light and did not melt, burn or explode as we thought would happen. We will certainly bust this gem back out and get to melting more things in the near future! How To Make A FLAME THROWER With Coffee Creamer

The angle of the shot made it look like there could be something off camera helping the flame so I kept researching on youtube. I then found another video of a kid almost burning his face off with the same method…. So I HAD TO TRY IT!!! Turns out, non-dairy coffee creamer is SUPER COMBUSTIBLE when suspended in air! I really had a blat making this video and honestly think its some of the best footage we’ve ever got making a Nickipedia video. Here is the science behind why this stuff burns so well There are 5 necessary conditions for a dust explosion. 1) a combustible carbon based dust, coffee mate is about 62% carob based maltose syrup 2) the dust is suspended in air, done and done 3) there needs to be an oxidant, we have oxygen in the air 4) there is an ignition source , we have a lighter 5) the dust particle size is under 400 microns, coffee mate has a mean particle size of 150 microns boom bam, time for fire Follow Nickipedia Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/nickuhas Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/nickuhas Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/uhasbrand Nickipedia WebSite: http://www.nickipedia.com Production Team: Writer/Producer: Nick Uhas Editor: Griffin Lewis DP: Sam Mosco Sources: https://www.quora.com/Organic-Chemistry-Why-is-powdered-coffee-creamer-so-flammable

Oxygen Gas Is NOT Flammable !?!?

08:46
SUBSCRIBE!: http://bit.ly/1G97GmA SHARE THIS VIDEO: https://youtu.be/n_t7CIf0Svs Sometimes in science you think you know exactly what you’re talking about, others not at all! In this experiment we capture Hydrogen gas from adding sodium hydroxide to aluminum foil. To test the combustibility of H2 we light it up. H2 produces this billowing soft “boom” with an orange flame. We then capture pure Oxygen gas from mixing 35% hydrogen peroxide and potassium iodide. When we light up the pure O2 gas… NOTHING HAPPENS!!! This is because Oxygen gas by itself is not flammable. O2 gas is considered an accelerant meaning it only makes existing flames stronger, brighter, and more explosive. To test this we added our H2 to our O2 in a 2:1 ration. The result was a quicker, brighter explosion that was much louder and shaper. Theory confirmed! Oxygen gas is an accelerant, not a flammable gas by itself! Let me know in the comment section down below if you were surprised that O2 gas was not flammable by itself, and that we made fuel for a Hydrogen Fuel Cell Car in my back yard! GIANT Liquid Nitrogen Rockets: Explodes In My Face

SUBSCRIBE!: http://bit.ly/1G97GmA SHARE THIS VIDEO: https://youtu.be/oEX6V6J9gwA Team! Sometime science experiments go great, other times they EXPLODE IN YOUR FACE (literally… blow up in your face). This video proves that safety is the number one priority! We wanted to test liquid nitrogen as a bottle-rocket-pressure-source just like how butane bottle rockets work. We also wanted to step up the magnitude and try the largest container we could. The problem… our vessel (coca-cola piggy bank) was not made of PET plastic and blow molded, but rather made of a more rigid plastic and was sealed together from two halves. This design could not handle the pressure of the evaporating liquid nitrogen and EXPLODED IN MY FACE! I was not injured by any standard, but I was also wearing all the appropriate safety gear! It also surprised the crap out of me because there was an initially “lift off” where I thought the rocket was going to keep flying and then it blew up! Let me know in the comment section down below if you were stoked to see these super sizes liquid nitrogen bottle rockets!? Did you like the GoPro footage? Did you know you could also do this with liquid nitrogen and just water? Starting a FIRE with a BAG OF WATER

06:36
SUBSCRIBE!: http://bit.ly/1G97GmA SHARE THIS VIDEO: https://youtu.be/BvE8f--mJRI Starting a fire with a bag of water seems impossible, mostly because these two don’t mix very well. However sometime (just like in life) the most unlikely pairs make magic and that’s exactly what we do in this video MAKE MAGIC!!! At the first go around with this we noticed that trying to light something on fire from a magnifying type lens would not work if it was white. This is because the white surface is reflecting so much of the light that there are not enough photos bombarding the surface to cause heat. After shaving down some wood (that was not white pine or light in color) we got the bag of water to light some dust. Getting enough air behind the dust is the next key thing. Taking in a few deep breaths and getting all that oxygen on the fire will really make it go from ambers to full fledge fire! I will certainly use this if I ever get trapped out in the wildness and only have granola in zip lock bags. Potato Launcher In Full Force: How Powerful Is It?

07:29
SUBSCRIBE!: http://bit.ly/1G97GmA SHARE THIS VIDEO: https://youtu.be/92IbECA7t_U We took our Darth Potato out to the desert and cut her loose! We wanted to test out how powerful the potato launcher really is. I will admit it really exceeded my expectations! Let me know in the comment section below if the potato launcher exceeded your expectations for how powerful it is! One of the things that amazed me was that the fuel source is merely a 5 second spray of hair spray! We later found out that the active ingredient that makes this so fuel source so explosive/powerful is that there is butane in the hairspray to give it the pressure to come out of the can. This is also commonly referred to as aerosol propellants… it’s basically the gas that is under pressure, that when is let loose, takes the other chemicals (hair spray) in the can with it and then evaporates quickly once outside of the can (in the air). The potato also stayed in tact. I couldn’t believe that the potato could be shot 300 feet and not turn into tater-tots by the end. My final observation is that these things are dangerous! Only repeat this experiment with parental supervision, and use full precaution! Jam Jar Jet - Making A REAL Jet with Alcohol and a Jar

06:30
SUBSCRIBE!: http://bit.ly/1G97GmA SHARE THIS VIDEO: https://youtu.be/YM2fM0Od5I0 We made a real jet with a JAM JAR!!! At first we tried this with a mason jar, and it worked okay, then we tried it with a real jam jar and it worked MUCH better! This mechanism is essentially making a pulse jet with a jar. The alcohol (99% methanol) mixes with the air creating alcohol gas. The little hole at the top lets in oxygen. When you light right above the hole the gas ignites, sucks in more air, and ignites again… this is a pulse jet! We put ice water at the bottom of the jar in order to create more of a vacuum. To do this at home (wear appropriate eye protection and only do this with the supervision of an adult) 1) find a mason jar or a jar about the size of a pickle jar 2) drill a hole in the top about ¼ inch or 1 cm 3) fill the bottom with just a little bit of pure alcohol (we used 99% methanol, but RC car fuel works really well too) 4) light the top and try not to pee everywhere because the jet is startling and strangely super loud 5) watch your jet jar in action! Once deep frozen it shatter like the others, HOWEVER it shatter much more easily. We concluded that the extra air inside of the fluffy due to the shaving cream gave us all these new and interested properties when compared to regular slime made with glue and Borax. We partnered up with Samsung and shot this entire video on the Galaxy S8! We went all the way to Indonesia to explore the science mystery of the WORLDS LARGEST LIZARD…The Komodo Dragon! In this video we take a journey half way across the world (literally because I live in LA) to the remote island of Komodo. The Komodo Dragon is so impressive. It can grow up to almost 10 feet long, 200 lbs and run as fast as 13 MPH. Up close and personal these things are very intimidating and scary… certainly ranks as one of my top science adventures! Can Dry Ice Put Out A Fire?

Can dry ice alone put out a fire? It’s a good question. Dry ice is solid state CO2 so as it sublimes (goes from a solid to a gas) can the newly formed gaseous CO2 displace the O2 fueling the flame quick enough to actually put out a fire? Let me know in the comment section below if you knew this was possible or were amazed this could happen! What Else Can A Potato Launcher Shoot?

SUBSCRIBE!: http://bit.ly/1G97GmA SHARE THIS VIDEO: https://youtu.be/bbGBNY2ElGo We took our Darth Tater out to the desert and tried out different fruits and veggies. I was super curious as I was walking through the grocery store if different objects would still work in our launcher. I knew we needed something to build pressure on the other end of the combustion chamber but had no clue how this would actually turn out… so of course we tested it! Let me know in the comment section below which of the new items was your favorite that we sent out of the potato launcher, did any of them surprise you? Also, you can tell we are super fans of Star Wars over here at the Nickipedia camp. Puns are also the name of our game… mix the two and you get an episode like this! Here is what we used 1) Avocado: Chew-Guacca 2) Banana: Bananakin Skywalker 3) Lemon: Emperor Pulpatine 4) Sweet Potato: Sweet Potato Dameron 5) Apple: Admiral Apple-Bar The one that surprised me the most was the lemon. The force alone (not the StarWars force… but like science force) was enough to send the lemon right through the watermelon! Ultimately the sweet potato was the best for defeating the evil watermelon death star. We mostly learned that a potato is by far the best object to use for a “potato launcher”… I guess it makes sense, right!? The potato is the easiest to go into the barrel, has the strongest form when launched and created the best seal for the combustion chamber. It’s also quite moist, allowing it to be launched with ease. Found The Rarest Oil On The Planet!? (White Oil)

SUBSCRIBE!: http://bit.ly/1G97GmA SHARE THIS VIDEO: https://youtu.be/mTzM6MiDf9A The story for white oil is a very intriguing one. The area we are hiking to today is the site of the old New Century Oil well, which supposedly still bubbles up white oil today. 10 Super Useful Life Secrets You NEED To Know

SUBSCRIBE!: http://bit.ly/1G97GmA SHARE THIS VIDEO: https://youtu.be/fyL1eYkuOuw I’ve learned some cool things in my 32 years on this planet, some of weird, some of it strange, most of it totally out there… but a lot of it is really useful! Today I wanted to share with you 10 everyday useful secrets that blew my mind when I learned them. Let me know which ones blew your mind or that you already knew but still use today! 1) The T-Rex on Google Chrome when the internet is out is a video game! 2) Every car shows you what side the gas cap is on with an arrow 3) Aluminum foil has notches to prevent the roller from going ape 4) You only need a spray bottle and water to dewrinkle clothes 5) The date of the milk container is when it should be sold by, not drank by… get to work my cereal fanatics! 6) Every grocery store has a price per unit measurement on the price tag 7) You can make coffee with a paper towel, it works 8) best remedy for garlic breath is: Number 1) Eat and apple. Not just because this would also be good for you but also because apples left in the open air oxidize, or turn brown. And fruits that oxidize contain enzymes that deodorizes sulfides found in garlic. Number 2) Drink some green tea! Green tea contains a chemical called polyphenols which work very similar to the oxidizing enzyme to neutralize all four of the smelly sulfide components of garlic. Number 3) take a tequila shot, hold the tequila. A lime slice, or any acidic beverage with Ph lower than 3.6 can destroy an enzyme called allinase. When this enzyme is mixed with garlic it enhances the sulfuric stench…so lemon lime it up and get rid of allinase! 9) best remedies for spicy food 1) Drinking a glass of milk This particular remedy goes back 8,000 years ago when Central and South Americans began adding spicy chilis to their food…a time tested and approved remedy...and here’s how it works. According to American Chemical Society, casein the protein found in milk helps breaks the bond that capsaicin forms on VR1 receptor… no bond, no spicy sensation! And to get the same effect you could also use yogurt, sour cream or any dairy product with casein in it 2) Milk Chocolate Milk chocolate will help dampen the fire in your mouth because it possesses a high fat content. In chemistry like dissolves in like as in oil dissolved in oil, water in water so in this case since the capsaicin oil is soluble in a fat based solution found in milk chocolate … plus this is an excuse to eat chocolate! And if chocolate isn’t your thing you could also use peanut butter, olive oil and avocados for the same reason. 3) Teaspoon of sugar The way this works is the sugar granules absorb the spicy capsaicin oil providing a brief sweet relief. Other good alternatives for this mechanism are honey, maple syrup, bananas or any other high sugar concentrated fruit. 4) A slice of Bread Bread is one of the more powerful absorbent foods and will soak up the capsaicin oil very quickly. For this same absorbent quality you could also use Tea bags, rice, and any carbohydrate like tortilla chips or pasta. 10) to unselect a floor on an elevator press the floor twice or three times (at gym) … because aint nobody got time for that 11) bonus round To properly save room for recycling a plastic bottle, crush it like an accordion and let the vacuum hold the crushed bottle in place Follow Nickipedia Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/nickuhas Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/nickuhas Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/uhasbrand Nickipedia Website: http://www.nickipedia.com Production Team: Writer/Producer: Nick Uhas Editor: Griffin Lewis DP: Sam Mosco Sources: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cotton https://www.thoughtco.com/why-do-clothes-wrinkle-607888

When we do experiments we have a pretty good idea of the result we will get…sometimes we get served a healthy dose of bad luck. The making of this video was pretty much just like that. Even though I am an optimist through and through, the day we filmed this video it was one thing after another. It felt like trying to wade through a sand trap with alligators with lasers on their heads. Has something like this ever happened to you? Have you ever had a day that just seemed like it was rolling punches of bad things? LMK in the comments section down below! Next week we have a video featuring the SMOSH squad where the experiment goes RIGHT! So subscribe and watch it next week! We did learn a lot from this video! The main thing I learned is that grease that comes fryer is super difficult to make soap by itself. Another type of oil really should be introduced to make the soap functional. During the 8AM hour the show can get between 8-12 Million live viewers! So it’s an honor to say the least. With that kind of pressure (especially doing crazy science experiments) I’ve learned a few things about myself when it comes to getting nervous. I will certainly admit that I get extremely nervous. However I’ve been nervous for all of the events in my life that were important to me (competing in sporting events, public speaking, going on Americas Got Talent). Being nervous is normal; in fact it’s GOOD! Once the adrenalin starts pumping this chemical makes you sharp… SUPER sharp. Being nervous is actually the body’s way of making sure you do well! The more nervous you get, the more focused you become. If you’re going to be nervous, you mine as well use what you’ve got! When do you guys get nervous? Frozen Butane Is SUPER FLAMMABLE!

07:56
SUBSCRIBE!: http://bit.ly/1G97GmA SHARE THIS VIDEO: https://youtu.be/laQ0pbR-Vd0 Turns out frozen butane is SUPER FLAMMABLE!!!! We had some left over liquid nitrogen from a Nickipedia live show, so we wanted to do some testing. We also have some left over butane from out “butane rockets” videos. The most interesting part of the process was when the butane freezes all in one burst when it comes into contact with the outside air. This might have to do with a nucleation site just like how water freezes? Jury’s still out on that one. The freezing process also made this really strange hissing sound when it crystalized. We then of course wanted to see how flammable the solid state butane out be. It’s very flammable!!! The whole burning scenario was strange. It looked like it went from a solid into a liquid (normal), then vaporized and burned (normal) but then the vapor looked like it cooled the liquid back into a solid (super strange). We almost lost our science table because we really under estimated how flammable butane would be in the frozen form. This has forced us to buy a fire extinguisher… which is probably a good thing : ) Let me know in the comment section below what you thought! Did you think you could freeze butane? Did you think it was as flammable as it was?
