In this video, you will learn about the 6 things that happen when you put your legs up against a wall every day. This yoga asana or yoga pose is called Viparita Karani. Doing legs up against a wall is a posture which is most nourishing, grounding and calming for you. In Legs Up the Wall posture, you lie on your back with your sit bones as close to the wall as is comfortable for you. From there, you then extend your legs up the wall so that the backs of your legs are resting fully against it. You can practice this pose for at least 10 to 15 minutes to gain maximum health benefits. The 6 things that happen when you put your legs up against a wall every day are: 1. Reduces Lower Back Pain This pose stretches out the hamstrings and reduces lower back pain by relieving the pressure from the lower back. 2. 9 Tips to Lose Weight Fast. 1. Drink lots of water Drinking more water lowers the amount of fat stored in the body. It’s not as easy as simply eating magnesium-rich foods or avoiding hot tubs. Improving male fertility can be complex, depending on the reason your sperm cells aren’t functioning at optimal levels. Eating the right food can increase your sperm motility and count, and improve your fertility levels – but there are no guarantees. Doctors say that what you eat can have a direct effect on your physical health and fertility levels, including your sperm count. But, it does depend on your current sperm health, motility, and production levels. 1. Asparagus, snow peas, cooked tomatoes, strawberries The vitamin C in these foods affect sperm motility and viability (how fast and effectively they swim). Vitamin C and vitamin A are found in many of the same foods: kale, red peppers, sweet potatoes, yellow veggies and fruits. The antioxidants in these foods help increase sperm count by decreasing harmful free radicals. Don’t eat foods to increase sperm count and motility in front of the television set! Research shows that healthy young men who watch TV for more than 20 hours a week have almost half the sperm count of men who don’t watch much television. Exercise can help increase sperm health: men who do 15 or more hours of moderate to vigorous exercise every week have sperm counts that are 73% higher than those who don’t exercise that much, according to a study published online in the British Journal of Sports Medicine. 2. Folic Acid Folic acid, or folate, is vital in protecting sperm from chromosomal or genetic abnormalities. Folic acid is rich in antioxidants. Low levels of folate have also been linked to a lower sperm count. The daily recommended intake for adult men is 200 micrograms. Folic acid is found in foods such as potatoes, oranges, leafy greens and beans. The recommended daily intake of vitamin C for men over 19 years is 40 mg. Citrus fruits, berries, kiwifruit, Brussels sprouts, broccoli and red bell peppers are excellent sources of vitamin C. Improved sperm count means that there will be more sperm with the ability to fertilize an egg and increased sperm motility means that the sperm is healthy and strong enough to make it all the way to an egg. Vitamin D Vitamin D improves all aspects of sperm health including sperm count, movement and quality. You should take the recommended daily intake of 10 micrograms of vitamin D. Vitamin D is produced naturally in the body when your skin is exposed to sunlight. Drinking milk or eating fortified foods, such as yogurt will help increase your intake of vitamin D. Vitamin E Vitamin E has antioxidant properties that can help protect sperm motility, the ability of sperm to "swim" or travel from the man to the ova or egg in the female. Vitamin E prevents the lipid or fat structures in the sperm cells from being damaged or destroyed. Nuts and seeds are excellent sources of vitamin E. The 5 foods to avoid with haemorrhoids are: 1. Refined Foods In many cases, a diet that is rich in refined carbohydrates can bring about a worsening of the haemorrhoid condition. As such, the following foods should either be entirely avoided, or consumed in distinctly small quantities: Ready-Made Meals, White Bread and General Processed Foods. 2. Dairy Produce Dairy produce should be one of the first foods to eliminate from your diet if you suffer from rheumatoid arthritis. Perhaps it does seem like a rather unlikely culprit, but the truth is that dairy products represent not only a potential allergy-forming ingredient, but also can be particularly harmful to the intestines, due to its’ acid-forming capabilities. Arguably the worst offender among the variety of dairy products is that of ice cream, in-part due to the milk element, but also because of the amount of additives that are very frequently used in its’ make-up. 3. Caffeine Staying away from the consumption of caffeine perhaps poses the most difficulty for haemorrhoid sufferers. However, caffeine, which includes most types of coffee and tea in general, can encourage haemorrhoids to become more painful. Nevertheless, if you can’t bear the thought of the non-consumption of coffee and/ or tea, then there are plenty of options that are caffeine-free. 4. Alcohol Alcohol poses a painful risk to those who suffer with haemorrhoids. Alcohol can cause irritation within the intestinal tract, which of course then results in the aggravation of the symptoms associated with haemorrhoids. Again however, if you must, be sure to consume alcohol in small quantities. 5. Nuts Nuts should be avoided if you suffer from haemorrhoids. The Y sperm requires an environment that is more alkaline in nature. The PH level of the cervical discharge of a woman's body needs to be less acidic. Some of the Dos are: Bring your own Towels – You need one towel to wear and one to sit or lay on and another one to dry off once you leave. Be Quiet - Saunas are a perfect place for silence and meditation. Speak quietly if you are having a conversation with a friend. Get in and out quickly – You should know that leaving the door open will let the steam out. So close the door as quickly as possible when entering or leaving the sauna. Shower first – Enter the sauna clean by taking a shower first, this will get rid of any bad body odors, bacteria, and sweat. Some of the Don'ts are: Work out - The sauna is a wonderful place to relax and sit. It is not the place for work out. Spit – Never spit inside the sauna. Over-water the rocks – Don’t put too much water onto the rocks as this can fill the room with excessive heat and will make it uncomfortable for those who prefer the steam. So always ask the other people in the room, if they want more heat or steam before putting water onto the rocks. Metastasis is a serious stage as it means that the cancer was strong enough to spread to other parts of the body. As metastatic cancer is similar to the primary form of cancer, so, for example, if breast cancer spreads to lungs, it will be called metastatic breast cancer, not lung cancer. The treatment for the metastatic cancer would be like that of stage IV breast cancer. Because the cancers may be similar in nature, doctors can often fail to locate the primary spot of cancer. Go to Sleep Going to sleep right after you have eaten food causes your stomach to burn excessively through the night leading to discomfort, bloating and sleeping irregularities. So you should wait for a few hours after the meal to go to bed. 2. Never Smoke When you smoke just after your meals the nicotine in cigarettes binds to the excess oxygen that is required in digestion, which allows your body to absorb more carcinogens than normal. So wait at least 2 hours after eating to have a smoke. 3. Do not take Shower When we go to shower, our body increases the blood flow to our hands, legs, and body which in turn decreases the amount of blood flow to your stomach. So when there is less blood available to digest your food your digestive system becomes weak which can cause stomach pains. So avoid the temptation to take shower just after your meal. 4. Eat Fruits Eating fruits is best on an empty stomach as it allows maximum absorption. If you eat it right after a meal, it won’t be able to digest properly and can cause indigestion, heartburn, burping, and other discomforts. 5. Drink Tea When you drink tea right after the meal, it interferes with iron absorption in the body. Low iron in the body is associated with anemia which causes fatigue, weakness, dizziness and poor appetite. So wait an hour or so before drinking tea. 6. Do Heavy Exercise Doing heavy exercise after eating is a strict no. When you do heavy exercise after eating it can cause acid reflux, nausea, vomiting and hiccups. So avoid exercise after your meals. In conclusion, keep in mind to avoid heavy exercise, drinking tea, eating fruits, going to sleep, delay smoking and taking shower after your meal. You may feel the cold more and because the act of metabolising food generates heat, your body will naturally start craving for more carbohydrate- rich foods to keep it warm. The higher level of melatonin also increases your appetite. Some people suffer from seasonal affective disorder during the winter months which is a mild type of depression and can cause the feelings of sadness and lethargy. Even if you don’t suffer from seasonal affective disorder, winter can affect your mood and you may find yourself consuming carbohydrates to feel better. These foods will produce the hormone serotonin which will make you feel happy but not for long as these foods cause your blood sugar to risen rapidly and then drop quickly very much like a rollercoaster.
